I was really excited to get another 24hr breakfast joint in town, especially since Denny's sucks. This IHOP is in a good location and I love the Yelp waitlist. I was surprised how quickly we got in and our considering how packed it was. Somehow the food tasted better than any IHOP I have been to before....or maybe it's just been that long. the servers are always nice and good food! what's not to love!? Every single time I have been to this location the servers have been great!

First of all, the online wait list is a load of crap. We joined it at home at 12:11 when it said the wait was 3-13 minutes. We rushed there and checked in as soon as we could fight our way to the front, and it was 40 minutes (after complaining and having someone else defer their seat to us because they knew we'd been waiting forever) before we were seated. Second, we've dined in twice, including today, and both times, the service has been slow. Third, I've gotten take out a few times, and one time, they let me walk out with only one bag of food (for two people--I expected it to all be in one bag), only to get home and only have half of what I ordered. They said on the phone that they'd give me a $20 credit toward my next visit. To be fair, the manager who was on duty when I returned was very apologetic and comped our ($22) food. He also said that the take out people are supposed to show you your food to make sure this doesn't happen. All in all, I was very excited to get an IHOP in Bloomington, but it's been a very disappointing and underwhelming experience so far. I hope they improve their service so I can continue to eat here, because the food is actually pretty good. read more

Love the Yelp integrated wait list at this location. We were very happy to see only a 15 minute wait for a place that opened so recently (yesterday!) We had a desperate need for elf on the shelf pancakes and didn't want to drive a ton of miles to get them, so it worked out great! read more

We decided to check this out since it was new in town. I got the gluten friendly pancakes and my husband got the beef tips and pancakes. The food was okay but overall I was disappointed. We both ordered sweet tea but both were given regular tea. The servers and back of house seemed really confused and unorganized. Often someone from BOH would step out and hand food to a server, and they both would look around the dining room and point and discuss like they didn't know who the food belonged to. This happened for a couple other tables besides us. Probably won't be returning unless I'm really craving pancakes. read more

Restaurant wasn't busy for a Sunday. Got seated right away. Sat there for 30 minutes ask multiple wait staff why we were not being waited on. Manager never made an appearance. Left without eating. Poor management and service, food is not that good at IHOP have that poor of service. read more

Met a friend @ 10:30 am. I was a little early so I was seated immediately. A server came as soon as I sat down. We had a pot of coffee & water before my friend arrived about two minutes after I did. Within another five min our order was taken & about another five min food arrived. Clean (new), good service and good, hot food is what we enjoyed. I would give this visit 5 stars, but I rarely do that. I'll definitely go back. Stay tuned for another review after my next visit. read more

I love this place. They make really good food and the people who work there are very nice. Unlike a place that I reviewed, the workers like to start conversations with my family. The wait is long, however, it is worth it because the food is so good. They always are clean and you always see smiles on their faces, which makes my day. Not kid friendly. Where are the placemats for the kids to draw on or puzzles to solve to keep them occupied? Why, open one month only with new everything, are the tables wobbly? another problem esp. with kids. The "artwork" assaults one with ads for IHOP in every direction. We were there already. Enough with how great their pancakes are. The service is slow. Food arrived cold. It took 15 minutes for them to make a latte. I will only go to this place again kicking and screaming. read more

I've been here three times and the first two times were great but the third time was terrible hence the three star review. Our server's name was Diego and he seemed completely uninterested in our table. We ordered two omelettes that came with salsa and he brought one out. My buddy asked for his and he was misinformed and said his Colorado omelette did not come with salsa which it says on the menu that it does. That was forgivable as he may be a new employee. Then he forgot the ketchup and a new fork but we had to ask a different server and she brought it for us immediately. We didn't see him again until we were done. I finished my cup of coffee fairly early and not once did he check to see how we were doing. I asked for a refill on my cup of coffee and he didn't come back until we asked for the check. He brought the check out and we had our card ready knowing it was going to take forever but he dropped the check on the table and immediately left. When he finally grabbed the card and ran it, he dropped the bill on the table without saying a word. Food was great as usual but service was terrible from this specific employee. Definitely give the place a try but avoid the dude with curly blonde hair and glasses. read more

This has been by far the most pitiful experience I have had in an IHOP. For starters, the place was completely empty at 9 PM on a Sunday, with only one other group in the restaurant. We were seated directly next to the obnoxious group and ordered our drinks and food. While waiting, our waiter was being friendly with the group next to us, plotting to pull a prank on his "boss" by making a disgusting concoction made from vile ingredients such as mayo, mustard, and pickle juice. Our waiters "boss" was no more than a maintenance worker who was wearing a full face covering ski mask. We learned through their loud conversation that he would be given $70 dollars to drink the made beverage and immediately started feeling uncomfortable. Once they finished making the drink, our waiter felt inclined to show us his disgusting work before he made his "boss" drink it. After dry heaving right in front of us, they chugged whatever it was and chased it with strawberry syrup and a hot chocolate packet. I would not be caught dead back at this ihop and I hope this waiter can read this review and learn how to give better service, very disappointing. read more

Been here twice now and disappointed both times. Service is the main issue. Food was delivered in 3 separate rounds with pancakes coming after I got the check at the last visit. Not good! Coffee was average and servers seem uninterested in guests. Coffee pot was delivered to table with 1 cup of coffee in it. Really? Unfortunately, at this point the manager can't manage his staff because he has to talk to every table to apologize for the service. I'd wait for a while before trying the restaurant. read more

Terrible experience. Coffee was cold so asked for them to make a new pot, which they did. They brought two different pots by two different wait staff personnel as neither one knew what the other was doing. Only half the food was brought and it wasn't what was ordered. Asked not to be charged for the food we did not receive and was told the manager would have to authorize. Waited over 15 minutes for the manager to visit the table, but no one ever came. We got up to leave when the waitress said our food was on the house. Nice gesture, but too late to make an impression. Not sure who the manager on duty was as all personnel were dressed as wait staff. I won't be going back. read more

Wasn't impressed! My first time there. I've eaten at IHOP several times over the years and had much better food. It was 1:00 PM not very busy. My waffle was cold and my bacon was so under cooked it was almost raw. I sent the bacon back and when the server brought it back it was burnt. I had a lovely experience at this iHOP or should I say iHOb, haha just kidding. Food was delicious as usual, and our waitress Csilla was very friendly and attentive. She said, "I hope you visit us again soon". Oh, I will be, probably at 3 AM for some yummy pancakes. I even got my picture taken in front of the "hoppy" hour sign out front. All around A+ experience. Probably the worst ihop you could possibly go to. Waited over 1.5 hours for 2 pancakes from my breakfast sampler and received nothing. Watched countless groups of 6+ people come in, get their food, pay, sit around for an additional 20 minutes before leaving, all while waiting for 2 pancakes. When I told the manager I didn't even want the pancakes anymore she wouldn't even comp the pancakes. Waited an additional 20 minutes for our check to come back as well. In fact, the check didn't even come back because our server packed up their stuff and walked out the front door before even returning out change. I've never seen such incompetence in a restaurant or in a person before. Seemed like we weren't welcome in the restaurant the entire time we were there. Abysmal service that deserves a negative tip. We weren't even offered a complimentary meal or discount and we had to convince the waiter to even ask the manager about it. Hopefully they got fired so that no one else has to go through such a deplorable experience. Woeful, rotten, dreadful, pathetic, and absolutely shameful service. Our third trip to the new restaurant. First of all, it is very small and if you are at a table instead of a booth there is the feeling that a server is going to drop a tray of food on you. This last time, we ordered the roasted turkey dinner. In the picture it shows two slices of turkey draped over dressing, sides with broccoli, mashed potatoes with thick gravy and cranberry sauce. The plate served us was broccoli, dry mashed potatoes, and crumbled up meat that might fill the palm of your hand. The server explained that the meat fell apart when being served. I should have taken a picWe asked for the gravy, cranberry sauce and dressing. What we got was a small bowl of turkey juice you could read a newspaper through, a pile of dressing that resembled dog poo, and no cranberries. By this time our meal was stone cold. No offer was made to comp our meal or anything else. Should have talked to the manager. I only give one star because otherwise can't leave a review. Two other visits before this one were similar, but marked it up as new restaurant and all. This last visit was a month after opening. Not returning. read more

Place is brand new so you can expect some kinks within the first few months, but the prices for everything is hard to beat especially in a city like Bloomington. Me and my girl ate a very filling meal for less than $20. We had to wait about 30 seconds to get seated, and our service was prompt even though most of the restaurant was full. The whole place was very clean and our server was friendly and attentive. For a brand new place there's not much more you could ask for, and having a great 24 hr place like this is just what Bloomington needs. Will definitely be back, perhaps I'll be a regular! read more

Horrible. I was a server for a long time and I never treated my guests like this. We got there, I checked in online and we waited 25 mins to get seated, people that were there after us went before us. When we got seated it took forever for our waitress to get over there, when she did she only took our drink order and we were all ready. We didn't get our drinks for about 10 minutes and someone else brought them out, we waited another 10-15 mins for her to come over and take our order. I thought everything was good at this point. We waited for a while and noticed that the tables around us were getting their food before us. We called another server over because our server wasn't in sight, to see about the status of our food. She had forgot to put the order in so we waited on our food for a food 45-50 mins while others got their out in 10-15. Once we got our food out we started eating and one of us noticed there was a hair in the food. Not a good first impression! read more
