Sunday brunch, 30 min wait due dirty tables not being cleared out. My date ordered a sparkling berry lemonade thing, but got an orange juice instead. My coffee was hot water in which maybe a bean or two was flung around on a string.. too light, no flavor. As a vegetarian, wanted to substitute wheat toast for the sausage/bacon.. the waiter came back with " my manager said no, only meat for meat substitution". Doesn't bread cost less than bacon?! Ihop is known for their fruit pancakes.. my date's strawberries were actually frozen in the center, she bit into it, and it was cold in the middle, while the bananas used on my banana/wheat pancakes were not ripe enough. The hashbrowns was dry and seemed like it was reconstituted. My plate was not clean, it had strawberry jelly from the last patron still on it.. I uploaded a pic as proof. Also the spoons had mineral stains on them as well. So to recap, the service sucked, manager sucked, coffee and food sucked, unclean plates and silverware. I rarely find more things wrong than right with a restaurant, but wow. read more

Came in around 7:30am on Saturday. Place wasn't too busy. Interior is typical for standard IHOP. Noticed the smell of cigarette smoke as I walked in the door. May have been that someone had just smoked outside because I did not notice it as I sat down at my table. Tried the new criss cross croissant meal. It was okay. Service was prompt and bathroom was clean. Overall decent choice for standard breakfast fare. read more

The food was great. It was good to have the old strawberry crepes again. Their minestrone soup was the best we've ever had, even much better than the Italian restaurants back in the city. Very flavorful & lots of different ingredients. My husband usually drowns soup w/black pepper, but this time nothing but the soup. He had the Italian chicken pasta. Sooo flavorable & so much, definitely got our monies worth this time. We highly recommend it & the price was only about $10 each! We'll be back for sure! read more

Janiece our waitress was so attentive considering how many tables she had to cover she was very nice although my potatoe Bacon and cheese soup came out lukewarm but it was still pretty tasty. I could tell that janiece works very hard at this diner and she deserves a raise and a promotion. I will never again step foot in this iHop again! or any for that matter! My boyfriend and I came here for a late night snack, we get there and get seated in a timely manner. our waitress Jennifer, didnt even give us a chance to sit down before she asked if we wanted anything to drink which made me feel very rushed. anyway, we get our waters and my boyfriend ordered a water and a drink that she forgot multiple times. I had to ask her 3 times to bring his drink. She took our order and brought me something I didnt even order to begin with.. it was pancakes that were so burnt, the top was peeling off the bottom and i couldnt cut into it with a fork. So i tried getting her attention but she was too busy sitting down at a booth with another server talking to a table about smoking weed! completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Coming from mine and my boyfriends stand point, him being a GM of a restaurant and me being a Server.. i was appalled. when we finally got her attention from staring at her for 5 minutes straight i told her my food was wrong and burnt and asked if I could get the correct thing to go. she apologized and took the pancakes off the bill. But she charged me for my crepes (that she messed up) and for 1 extra meal!!! my boyfriend bought a combo meal and she charged him for two! we didnt realize until we left and we went back and the manager told us he couldnt give us a refund!! I in no mean would ever expect to not pay for a meal but I know in my restaurant or his I would have taken care of it. The manager on duty, Jordan, didnt even come to our table to apologize for the mix up, which any manager should do. instead he hid in the back and awkwardly stared at us. We went to go pay our bill and we explained how unprofessional everything looked, and how he handled the situation very poorly. Again, I in no way expect a free meal, but if a costumer explained how terrible the service was and everything that happened I would have definitely taken care of their meal. We tipped the server out of pity and chewed the manager out for good reason. It was very easy to tell no one cared about their job! The waitress also was trying to convince my boyfriend and I to "not get her in trouble" and ratted out her manager and tried to put it all on him. I'm utterly shocked at how terrible this experience was. Corporate will be hearing of this. read more

I am a lover of IHOP! They usually always serve a nice hot breakfast at a reasonable price. Today unfortunately wasn't their day. As my family and I sat at a table with a clear view of the kitchen/server area I witnessed servers touching someone's food bare hands! A gentleman sent back a burger that had cheese on it because is son is lactose intolerant. The server instead of asking the kitchen to remake it, had two other servers cover him while he attempted to take the cheese off himself! Yuck! The server walked some plates out to a table and back to the burger he was trying to fix. He took his unwashed hands that he just touched plates and tables with, grabbed a napkin and grabbed the burger to Pat it down. I had it! I yelled loudly that the burger needs to be remade! I was disgusted that they would handle someone's food in such a manner. I asked for management and advised of what had taken place. Don't believe me? Roll the tapes back and watch for themselves! This shouldn't be happening. Take the time to own the mistake and remake the damn burger!! I don't think I'll be revisiting this location for a while! If they can do that to someone else's food, what would they do to mine?! read more

ordered breakfast, bacon and eggs w/hash browns. Asked waiter if I could have pancakes instead of toast. He said no that if I wanted pancakes that I should order a pancake breakfast. Now I'm trying not to lose it and tell him just give me 2 eggs, bacon and potatoes. 20 minutes later, place is more than half empty, food arrives. The eggs are cold and rubbery, potatoes cold and dry, bacon must have been leftover from yesterday. Coffee tastes like warm dishwater. This is the WORST breakfast I have ever had, Waiter doesn't care, manager no where to be found. Never, never going to this place again and highly recommend to stay away. Went to this location and got seating right away. We waited 10 minutes for our waiter to take our order. After we finished our food, we sat for 5 minutes waiting for our bill. Another waiter took the bill and we waiting 20 minutes to get our card back. Never going here again. read more

My uncle lives near here and like a lot of South Asian immigrants one of his goals in life has been to grow old American style. So we came here to eat dinner, sorry we missed the early bird special (2 for one if you're over 55). In spite of two of the three of us being brown, we got good service so IHOP represents some distinct advantages over some other infamous breakfast-for-dinner chain. In fact the place was relatively clean, with prompt accurate service. This is not the sort of food that leads to a long and healthy life, but it was pretty tasty and very American. I don't know if I agree with Chula-uncle that "America is the greatest country in the world," but there are no IHOPs in Colombo. I hope I'm not insulting anyone's intelligence, but I recommend that you order breakfast no matter what time you come here. Judging by some of the others around us, I think your enjoyment of this place might be enhanced by inebriation. read more

Had a good expierence only a few minor things happened like the table we were sat at had no tray of syrups and when our food was brought out we didnt have any silverwear for a second but ither than that very good experience. I'd say IHOP is almost the WAFFLE HOUSE of the north. You pretty much know what you're gonna get. It's good (not usually great) food at a good price point. At the Addison Locale, this is certainly true with a friendly staff that is quick to seat and serve even on a busy Sunday morning. This is a clean newer restaurant and this place is always open. That being said the most important part of any restaurant is the food and the food here is a bit bland. I stil go here but the food could use a professional pickme up. Hopefully one day the food will improve here. read more

Went here around 3 pm on a Saturday. We got immediate seating and the waitress was decently friendly. We got our food very quick, it was adequete, not the best but it was ok. We got out of there it felt like 20 minutes. Quick service, ok food. The atmosphere was just like any other Ihop, a few teenagers eating appetizers, a few older people complaining about cold drafts. The manager rung up our order, she was ok, not overly happy to see us, but not angry. Usually managers try to suck up to you but she didnt. I would go back if in the area. read more

I just can't get "hopped" up over IHOP. It isn't awful, it just isn't... anything. Nothing extraordinary, no special draw, no special feel, I just think of it as the early-bird and drunken youth destination. I've gotten various meals here, they're all ordinary and of extremely average quality often borderline mediocre, and the service is likewise. Our waiter today was nice, I will give him that, but the only reason my friend and I came here today was because it was convenient for both of us, easy, and we were just desperate to catch up on life. Bathrooms could use some remodeling, partially for the feel of cleanliness and partially so the chance of one being barged in on due to half-functioning locks is reduced. It's cheap, generally under $10 a plate, and edible. It's open 24 hours, so if that all sounds good to you, be my guest, I'd rather go to a family diner, though. read more

I come here drunk at night with friends and they always treat us good. We don't throw things around or act up, but, we are drunk and probably act up a little more than we think we do. My brother ordered an omelette with no mushrooms (because he's allergic), but when he got his order, it had several mushrooms in it. I ordered the signature American burger, but it was missing toppings and my side order of fries. I had to tell the waiter that my order was not complete. She apologized and I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but it was not that busy that night. Other than that, she was really nice and apologized. My suggestion is not to have one waiting an entire section, especially for larger groups. read more

Worst meal I've had in a long time. Our kids were very excited to get the elf on the shelf menu with the special pancakes. We came for dinner, my wife and I ordered burgers the kids got elf pancakes. We ordered appetizers which never came, we weren't charged for either. We spent the first part of our meal listening to a server tell another server about aine guy on her snapchat trying to get in her dm's. Had our pop refilled once at the end of the meal. Couldn't wait to get out of here and leave. But when we went to pay our bill, the manager that was on her cell phone the entire time we were trying to pay kept us from leaving in a quickly manner. Yes we left a tip as good as the service was, yes I'm writing a review to show how unprofessional this establishment is. If it means someone cant get decent food at a good cost I'm happy for it. This is my second year in a row going to this IHOP has accommodated my large family (20 including kids) for early am meal before our fast started. We got there early (1:30a) to make sure there was enough time for the food to come out. The entire staff was awesome, especially our server, Sebastian. He was calm, patient and kind. today is black friday 2013. 4 hungry women, figured IHOP would be the place to get some great burgers as we have in the past many times. the place was packed, ill give you that, but the server we had was awful. the other servers were happy to be working and serving customers, but the one we had, her name is NAZ, was pissed off to be there it seemed. she never smiled or even attempted a smile, she slammed the drinks down, practically threw your plates at you. as we were leaving, she brings our drink refills. i wont say i will never go there again, but next time i will make sure before being seated to ask who my server will be. read more

Went in with the family for breakfast on Sunday morning. We were seated within 15 min which was fine. How ever that's when it all went down hill.... We placed our order and waited, waited and waited. NOTHING other family's came and went and no food, no coffee came out way. I called a manager over and told her what was going on she told me she would take care of it and I thanked her for her help BUT after another 15 min wait still no food, no coffee, no service. My husband Spoke to the server and asked her why family's that came I after us were eating and we haven't even seen a cup of coffee. The waiters had no answer and did not seem to care. Long story short after waiting patiently for 45 at Ihop for breakfast we left with put eating and took our business to Millis down the street. We have had a few bad experiences at this place but out family was ready to give it another chance.... We will never be back.
