I called Cracker Barrel tonight and told them I was looking for needohs, I spoke with Nick who informed me that they had two different ones in stock. I told Nick I was driving 40 minutes to purchase them and thanked him and we laughed about how far I was driving at the behest of my daughter. I get to the store and Nick comes up to the counter and says if they're gone, they're gone. FORTY MINUTE DRIVE. For nothing. Talk about a throw back to my childhood! I had no idea I was only 15 minutes away from a Cracker Barrel. My husband and i immediately had to go. The store is just amazing. There is something for everyone. There's home decor, seasonal decor, soap, coffee mugs, candy, the list goes on! I bought a ton of stuff after we ate! The ambiance is exactly how I remember it from back in the day. Our service, however was definitely bad. This was an isolated incident as every other server I saw giving great service. So great that we saw numerous tables get their food before us who were sat after us. The restaurant was slow, so there really wasn't an excuse outside management needs to train better. Our server gave us our drinks without a straw. When asking him for a straw, he just looked at us, and walked away. Tbh it was kind of comical. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, it was safe to say he forgot. When I saw him again, I asked, and again he just walked away without saying anything lol but he did grab a straw! Woohoo! Onto the food, I ordered the chicken and dumplings with turnip greens and hashbrown casserole, my husband ordered the campfire chicken. We waited close to an hour for our food. I think it was a combination of our server maybe putting our order in late, and our food sitting for a while. At this point, my husband and I were so hungry. My food wasn't hot. It was lukewarm so I know it was sitting for a while and our server wasn't paying attention. Was it still delicious though? Yes! Again, we were so hungry I didn't say anything because I didn't want to wait any longer. It was still delicious and I'd order it over and over. My husbands dish was incredible! A group of 4 of us stopped in for breakfast and placed ourselves on the waitlist via their website. Upon arriving we checked in at the host stand and were told it would be a 10 minute wait. After waiting an hour and being told we were next numerous times we finally were seated... we were told we never checked in at the host stand but we clearly did.. 3 times.... now after ordering to get your food? That was another hour... a breakfast outing should not take 3 hours... Ouff... Now to the food... I really didn't think breakfast food could truly ever be that bad, well... unfortunately I was wrong. Had a really nice family dining experience. Our server, Isabel, did a fantastic job of introducing herself and making menu suggestions. The food definitely had a "down home" feel and taste to it! The store is very organized and well maintained. The cashier, a young man, was very friendly and thanked me for my military service. The older lady working the front of the house in the morning is always smiling and friendly, even if it's a rush. Servers are hit or miss. This was my first time every trying Cracker Barrel and I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food. This location does not take reservations so we joined the waitlist around 15 minutes before we arrived and waited around 15 more minutes until our table was ready when we arrived. While you wait for your table, there is a whole store of toys/clothes/decor that will keep you occupied. After we ordered our food, we got our dishes within 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend any dish with pancakes and fried chicken. Although I might've gained 5 lbs after eating here, it was well worth it. The pancakes have a lovely crispy edge (likely because they're fried in butter) and fluffy inside. AND you get free mini syrup bottles which are so cute. Nothing special about the eggs and sausage that came with it. The fried chicken has a perfectly salty and crispy coating with tender, juicy chicken. Since it was our first time, we joined their rewards and got a free sharable. The fried pickles were fresh and had an addicting taste. I can see myself coming back here again. read more

The creamy cole slaw was very good. I appreciate the option of Mobile checkout from our table. That is so fast and efficient. I was disappointed in the ham dinner. The ham slice I was served was so dry I couldn't believe it .After 2 bites, I set it Aside and took it home with me to chop up and add to a home made salad. Lastly, the biscuits were disappointing. I expected a light fluffy, warm biscuit. Our biscuits were none of those. The corn bread was good. Happy Father's Day! Or so we thought. We arrived at Cracker Barrel around 9am. I checked in online and the text told us to check in with the host when we arrived. So we did just that. My name was all the way at the bottom but I showed the host which one it was exactly and I thought she did what she had to do to check us in. Turns out, she did not. We were told it would be about 10-15 minutes. After 20 minutes, my mom went to the stand to complain. They told her that we would be called soon. 20 minutes later, we complained again. Turns out we were never checked in. The manager was up front and he agreed to sit us down. Long story shorter, we ordered finally. An hour and a half after we arrived, we were eating. This location is like other similar Cracker Barrell locations that I've been to where parking is plentiful, there's a large store as you walk in, the menu covers a large range of comfort foods from breakfast to fried chicken to meatloaf, the decor reminds you of country elements, and service is friendly. The food here is prepared pretty consistently. Hot and to expectations with big portions and familiar flavors. I generally enjoy getting the breakfast for dinner here but find that the savory options, particularly the fried chicken, to satisfy cravings. Sides here really remind me of well done Thanksgiving food and are well priced and plentiful with every entree. My husband met some friends here and brought me home dinner from the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. I got the The Cracker Barrel's Country Boy Breakfast (Starts with three farm fresh eggs* and choice of two Breakfast Sides plus Sirloin Steak Tips. Comes with Buttermilk Biscuits and Sawmill Gravy). I got the pancakes and fried apples as sides. I was charged for the side of pancakes. The biscuits did not come with gravy. There was an issue with getting my food order on time and another issue with being able to take payment which delayed my food getting home warm. I was forced to microwave several items so that they would warm when I ate it. The eggs were scrambled and fluffy. The apples were cinnamony. The pancakes had nice, crispy edges. They gave us a table for only 4 when there was 5 of us and there was not enough room to eat comfortably. Our server was amazing! I still tip him even though I didn't like that. I dig thru the bag, half the condiments are missing. I go inside to host stand they call for Lionel. The guy who brought me my order. I tell him what's missing, he takes 5 min to get tartar sauce and pepper sauce! The slowest moving, unbothered server ever. Hands it to me. No apology, NOTHING. I wanted to ask for my tip back at this point. Now I realize there's no silverware (all of which were requested and printed on the ticket). The host goes to get it himself and he actually apologizes. I really don't think that I am a big Cracker Barrel fan. I ordered the tenderloin with two sides. I have to say for the price the tenderloin was good. I was looking forward to the mashed potatoes and gravy. I didn't especially care for the mashed potatoes or for the gravy. I chose the beans. They were OK. The thing I do have to rave about was the service. Wish I remembered the server's name. She was on the ball and genuine in her kindness. I took my dad out for early Father's Day. I ordered grandpa's country fried breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, chicken fried chicken, fried apples, biscuits and gravy. Eggs were fine. Hard to mess up eggs. Chicken fried chicken was good but it could be a little more tender. Less crunchy. Biscuits were soft, not rock hard. Gravy was tasty. First off, I mainly go to CB to shop in their store and buy gifts for family and friends. I don't really go there to eat! I love the products they have in their store moreso than eating their food. Hubs and I ate brunch here today and the food is okay, but I don't walk away thinking I have to come back anytime soon. However, I will come back to shop in their store because they have the cutest Halloween merchandise right now! I'm not sure if this CB is going to get remodeled or not, but I would say their bathrooms could use a makeover. CB should also consider adding cushions on their chairs. I visited in June 2023 while staying across the parking lot. It was a Tuesday evening and there was no wait! I was seated instantly and was able to order my drink and food pretty quickly after that. The food was 2 stars at best. It was slightly below average in my book. The bacon mac n cheese only had breadcrumbs, no bacon. The hand battered chicken strips were surprisingly generously portioned but was still slightly rubbery when I ate them. The green beans...don't get the green beans. Well it's always fun at the Cracker Barrel! Their little store that's attached to the restaurant reminds me of the traveling days where we would stop off there interstate for a bite to eat. This specific one is nice, clean and the staff is very friendly. We were seated immediately and drinks provided quickly. They have specials each day and some entrees to take home at a discounted price $6. I selected the Friday fish fry, which was white fish and a choice of 2 sides(broccoli and Mac cheese) the broccoli was steamed well not soggy and that was fine. The Mac and cheese was good, cheesy and baked with a nice crust. The fish was flaky, the light coating was crisp, not greasy or super crunchy but allowed the flavor of the fish to come out. It was surprisingly good 4 pieces. Reminds me of the whitefish up in door county. Tartar sauce was good too. My husband had the spicy chicken, 2 breasts. He liked his sides (Cole slaw and steak fries). He liked the steak fries and the coleslaw was very good. I'm going to pick that side next time. Yum! Their website will give you wait times and allow you to make reservations. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was perfect timing. We will return and bring my granddaughters for breakfast. We love coming here to eat but we haven't been here in a long time, I was craving chicken and they have the crispiest breading and the southern fried chicken is perfectly cooked ( no blood around the bone and you could tell they use fresh meat because there's no black bones... unlike some fast food restaurants because their chicken has been previously frozen.) So I highly recommend dining here if you haven't already done so. My husband order the boneless southern fried chicken. For the sides I ordered the dumplins and coleslaw and my husband had the turnips greens and steak fries. We both had the corn bread rolls (try them with butter and honey ) The waitress said adding honey to the chicken makes it takes even better and they were right!! Today I ordered signature chicken and let me tell you this: if you want decent friend chicken go to KFC, this one was so tough I couldn't risk damaging my braces.. and it didn't look good enough to give it a try. We ordered the chicken and dumplings and the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and brown gravy. The chicken and dumplings were very good as usual. THe meatloaf was ok but the sauce on the top was a very sweet barbecue sauce( they used to top it with plain ketchup) , it was gross. I will not order that again. The mashed potatoes were good but I couldn't eat them because the brown gravy was pure salt! I told the waitress that and she said she would tell them in back. I hope she did. (I'm sorry I don't remember our servers name but she was very nice). The bathroom was disgusting . The 1st stall in the ladies bathroom. has no hook on the door to hang a purse and the last few times we were here and they still haven't fixed that! We need someplace other than a gross floor to put our purses. I also got the last small amount of toilet paper in that stall and no back up paper. I had to warn the next lady in line not to use that stall. I did tell someone up front about that and they said they would take care of it. Cracker Barrel will always be a must stop when I am around one. Maybe it's because of the old school/nostalgic feeling that I get whenever I walk into one or the southern hospitality of the servers. Had a breakfast date with my son and the servers were very attentive. My son loved the games on the table as well as the color sheet.
