Talk about a throw back to my childhood! I had no idea I was only 15 minutes away from a Cracker Barrel. My husband and i immediately had to go. The store is just amazing. There is something for everyone. There's home decor, seasonal decor, soap, coffee mugs, candy, the list goes on! I bought a ton of stuff after we ate! The ambiance is exactly how I remember it from back in the day. Our service, however was definitely bad. This was an isolated incident as every other server I saw giving great service. So great that we saw numerous tables get their food before us who were sat after us. The restaurant was slow, so there really wasn't an excuse outside management needs to train better. Our server gave us our drinks without a straw. When asking him for a straw, he just looked at us, and walked away. Tbh it was kind of comical. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, it was safe to say he forgot. When I saw him again, I asked, and again he just walked away without saying anything lol but he did grab a straw! Woohoo! Onto the food, I ordered the chicken and dumplings with turnip greens and hashbrown casserole, my husband ordered the campfire chicken. We waited close to an hour for our food. I think it was a combination of our server maybe putting our order in late, and our food sitting for a while. At this point, my husband and I were so hungry. My food wasn't hot. It was lukewarm so I know it was sitting for a while and our server wasn't paying attention. Was it still delicious though? Yes! Again, we were so hungry I didn't say anything because I didn't want to wait any longer. It was still delicious and I'd order it over and over. My husbands dish was incredible! Hot and the campfire seasoning is AMAZING! The chicken was also so tender and juicy. He loved it! We will definitely be back! However, I will request them to not give us the waiter we had.

NO.... Absolutely not and never again... Service throughout was awful. From start to finish it was terrible. A group of 4 of us stopped in for breakfast and placed ourselves on the waitlist via their website. Upon arriving we checked in at the host stand and were told it would be a 10 minute wait. After waiting an hour and being told we were next numerous times we finally were seated... we were told we never checked in at the host stand but we clearly did.. 3 times.... now after ordering to get your food? That was another hour... a breakfast outing should not take 3 hours... Ouff... Now to the food... I really didn't think breakfast food could truly ever be that bad, well... unfortunately I was wrong. The standard here is questionable. 'Edible' maybe? I felt extremely nauseas while eating the eggs. The pancakes? Pass... TBH just pass on this establishment completely. I'm trying to find something positive to write and unfortunately I've got nothing..

This was my first time every trying Cracker Barrel and I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food. This location does not take reservations so we joined the waitlist around 15 minutes before we arrived and waited around 15 more minutes until our table was ready when we arrived. While you wait for your table, there is a whole store of toys/clothes/decor that will keep you occupied. After we ordered our food, we got our dishes within 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend any dish with pancakes and fried chicken. Although I might've gained 5 lbs after eating here, it was well worth it. The pancakes have a lovely crispy edge (likely because they're fried in butter) and fluffy inside. AND you get free mini syrup bottles which are so cute. Nothing special about the eggs and sausage that came with it. The fried chicken has a perfectly salty and crispy coating with tender, juicy chicken. Since it was our first time, we joined their rewards and got a free sharable. The fried pickles were fresh and had an addicting taste. I can see myself coming back here again.

The creamy cole slaw was very good. I appreciate the option of Mobile checkout from our table. That is so fast and efficient. I was disappointed in the ham dinner. The ham slice I was served was so dry I couldn't believe it .After 2 bites, I set it Aside and took it home with me to chop up and add to a home made salad. Lastly, the biscuits were disappointing. I expected a light fluffy, warm biscuit. Our biscuits were none of those. The corn bread was good. I averaged out a 2 star rating from me with a 5 star rating from my husband who had a different meal than me.

Happy Father's Day! Or so we thought. We arrived at Cracker Barrel around 9am. I checked in online and the text told us to check in with the host when we arrived. So we did just that. My name was all the way at the bottom but I showed the host which one it was exactly and I thought she did what she had to do to check us in. Turns out, she did not. We were told it would be about 10-15 minutes. After 20 minutes, my mom went to the stand to complain. They told her that we would be called soon. 20 minutes later, we complained again. Turns out we were never checked in. The manager was up front and he agreed to sit us down. Long story shorter, we ordered finally. An hour and a half after we arrived, we were eating. The food was meh. Definitely not worth waiting that long for. Sad to say we will not be visiting a Cracker Barrel again in the near future.

A nice spot for a value oriented meal filled with comfort food. This location is like other similar Cracker Barrell locations that I've been to where parking is plentiful, there's a large store as you walk in, the menu covers a large range of comfort foods from breakfast to fried chicken to meatloaf, the decor reminds you of country elements, and service is friendly. The food here is prepared pretty consistently. Hot and to expectations with big portions and familiar flavors. I generally enjoy getting the breakfast for dinner here but find that the savory options, particularly the fried chicken, to satisfy cravings. Sides here really remind me of well done Thanksgiving food and are well priced and plentiful with every entree. Overall, you can easily get a filling meal for a very reasonable price here and have a great time with friends and family in a cozy setting.

My husband met some friends here and brought me home dinner from the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. I got the The Cracker Barrel's Country Boy Breakfast (Starts with three farm fresh eggs* and choice of two Breakfast Sides plus Sirloin Steak Tips. Comes with Buttermilk Biscuits and Sawmill Gravy). I got the pancakes and fried apples as sides. I was charged for the side of pancakes. The biscuits did not come with gravy. There was an issue with getting my food order on time and another issue with being able to take payment which delayed my food getting home warm. I was forced to microwave several items so that they would warm when I ate it. The eggs were scrambled and fluffy. The apples were cinnamony. The pancakes had nice, crispy edges. The steak and biscuits were tasty The food gets five stars. The service needs a little improvement. I recommend Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.

Love Cracker Barrel and always try to go when there is one near me while traveling. The one closest to my home is about an hour. This time I tried the country fried steak with mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and a corn muffin and biscuit. Delicious. In the past, I usually order breakfast but their menu has so many options so I decided to switch it up. The decor is always fun to look at plus the gift shop has so many goodies.

Waiting in the queue at this place is annoying. Their system is flawed. The seating was terrible. They gave us a table for only 4 when there was 5 of us and there was not enough room to eat comfortably. Our server was amazing! We ordered chocolate chip pancakes from the kids menu, 3 people ordered the fried catfish, and I ordered the country fried steak. We also ordered an appetizer and they did not even give us small plates to share the appetizer. The unsweetened ice tea was unnaturally bitter. If my mom didn't love Cracker Barrel so much, I would never come to this place.

I've been to many different locations and each one I always had a good experience. Service was always attentive, drinks were refilled, and food brought out hot. I took my dad out for early Father's Day. I ordered grandpa's country fried breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, chicken fried chicken, fried apples, biscuits and gravy. Eggs were fine. Hard to mess up eggs. Chicken fried chicken was good but it could be a little more tender. Less crunchy. Biscuits were soft, not rock hard. Gravy was tasty. Plenty of parking if you go on a weekday morning for breakfast. It may be crowded on the weekends. Portion sizes were generous.

Grandma's platter..pancakes..spicy chicken sausage with eggs and grits.

So I thought we were all set. Our reservation was for 6:00, and we arrived at 5:54. We were told to wait until six, which was perfectly fine. Six o'clock rolls around and we're told they're still cleaning the table. Okay, we wait. Then we wait. And wait. Thirty minutes later, we find out the people who had the table STILL hadn't even left. Baby...what exactly were we reserving three weeks ago, a future dream? They offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciate in theory, but when you've got a party of eight waiting 40 minutes past their reservation time, I'm not really looking for the cheapest appetizer on the menu. I'm looking for the table I reserved. Eventually, we were seated, and thank GOD for our server Alexis B, because they completely turned the experience around. Funny, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've ever had. If I could give them five stars separately, I would. They made us feel welcome and somehow kept the whole table laughing after that rocky start. The food had some hits and misses. The crab cake was a little too spicy for my taste, although the rest of the table enjoyed it. The mini sliders, however? DELICIOUS. That buttery, well seasoned bun was doing exactly what it needed to do. Then came my Entourage burger, and baby...THAT burger understood the assignment. It was absolutely packed with flavor. So good that I practically inhaled it. My server even asked if I wanted another one because apparently I ate it fast enough to qualify for a second round. Unfortunately, the management situation left a lot to be desired. After the issues getting our table, the managers seemed to keep watching our group throughout the night. If you're going to stare, baby, at least commit to the performance! It made an already awkward situation feel even more uncomfortable. Honestly, my server Alexis B, was the ONLY reason this experience ended on a positive note. They were so charming and personable that by the end, they felt more like a friend than a server. I'm genuinely going to miss them. The food was good, and that burger was fantastic, but a three-week reservation should not turn into a 40 minute wait with a party of eight standing around wondering when they're going to eat. So unfortunately, I'm leaving with two stars. The food gave me reasons to come back, but the reservation experience and management gave me reasons to stay home. And to my server: you were the star of the night. Protect this person at all costs.

The sauce, the crust. The amount of sauce. Etc. all hit it just right. Second app was a plate of fresh cut fries. Once again this place does not cut corners. Perfectly fried with a crunch and sea salt on top. That was a busy plate getting gobbled up before our entrees showed up. For my entree, I got the mushroom parpadelle with shrimp. I had no clue until I started to eat it that it was homemade pasta. In my head I kept thinking there is no way this is not made in house. I asked the waiter and yes indeed he said they are making pasta all day long. With the amount of people in this restaurant. I can only imagine how busy that kitchen is creating this soft and fresh beautiful pasta. If you have ever made pasta. You know how much time and work it is. Sorry, back to my dish: the shrimp we cooked to a perfection. Quality high, the mushrooms were fresh and I could not wait to find more. If you want Italian. Skip the chains. This was my first time there and I am surprised I haven't heard more people talking about it. I stopped in a little after 9:30pm to meet up with the rest of the group of 6 on a Saturday night. I didn't realize until I got there that my cousin's cousin who is a friend was actually bartending so that was a nice surprise because he's got a lot of experience. Our server was really nice and came up to our high top as I was looking over the drink menu to let me know that the kitchen would be closing soon in case we wanted to order any food but we had all already eaten. I do kind of wish that I had looked over the food menu though because some of the last plates I saw being served for the night looked pretty good. Both the server and our friend did a great job of checking in throughout the night with our party and the others. This was the same night as the Pride Celebration in Aurora that was literally just outside on Stolp Ave but it wasn't very busy for a while but a good amount of people trickled in for a nightcap after the show at the Paramount let out. The 2 drinks I had were really good. The first one was the featured cocktail: Naughty Nellie's Nectar which was a great Tiki-esque drink with spiced rum and bitters mixed with various fruit juices including passion fruit, guava, pineapple, and lime. It was right up my alley so I was a little sad when I went for a second one and the bartender said that they had run out of some of the ingredients but that he would make me the other drink on the menu that's similar, the Twilight Tixi. I liked that one a lot too. What really made the night great though was the chill and relaxing ambiance of the space. The nice lighting gave the mood of a mix between lounge, restaurant and bar. The music was good and although they had the TV above the bar playing the last game of the NBA finals it was not the focal point. I'm looking forward to more fun nights at Arthouse in the future.
