I ordered the Sassy Scotty chicken salad. It has bacon and cheese. It was delicious, the bread was toasted, but not burnt. It was perfect. My meal came with a drink. The pop machine doesn't have a great selection. It only has coke, diet coke, fanta, dr. Pepper, lemonade, pomegranate water, sprite, coke zero. I wish it had more options. The service was fine, nothing outstanding though. The staff was friendly for the most part. They grabbed my trash as soon as I finished. My food was really good, but the grape salad was not good at all. The grape salad is usually one of my favorite items, but today the grapes were really mushy. Not just one of them almost all of them. Some of them were not only mushy but also brown and yellow. They were supposed to be green or purple. The grapes were gross, and I regret ordering them. Overall a fine experience. This was my first visit here, and as someone who loves chicken salad, I was excited to try it. First odd, the customer service was fabulous and the place was cute and comfortable for a girls lunch in. The chicken salad was good, but for a place that is named for their chicken salad, it just wasn't anything special. I had the cranberry with almonds on wheat. I asked for the bread toasted, and it was browned, but bot crunchy like toast. Not sure what that's about. For sides, I had the Mac and cheese, which was kind of meh, and the grape salad, which was the highlight of the visit. Crunchy grapes with sweet tangy dressing. First time trying Chicken Salad Chick and it was SO tasty! The person who took my order was so nice and explained how to order. I placed a to-go order so didn't get to fully experience the ambiance, but from what I saw it was fine. I got the Classic Carol chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with one side, broccoli salad. The croissant was fluffy and flaky and the chicken salad was basic but SO tasty, and that's what I wanted. The broccoli salad was really good too, but I'm not a fan of cold cheese (I know..I'm weird ) so I had to eat around that. She walked over, grabbed it, set it on the counter and walked away. I'm only hoping she was having an epically bad day and this isn't how she always greets customers. Now for food. I ordered the classic, old south, and sassy. The Classic was just way too plain for me. The Old South is more what I consider a good, basic chicken salad. I'd order it again in a pinch. I was going back and forth between a 3 and a 4 -Star review. Today was the grand opening. It was very well staffed, everyone was friendly and wait time wasn't terrible. The menu is vast, lots of choices. The sandwiches were delicious but the portion size on one of the sandwiches was a joke, it was served on a teeny tiny little croissant, I finished it in literally 5 bites, definitely not worth the $14 price. My wife's sandwich which was on white bread was much larger. I wouldn't recommend ordering one of the croissants if you're even remotely hungry, I'm still hungry after eating the croissant sandwich and a side of pasta salad. I posted a photo next to my car key fob for size reference. I'll definitely go back and give it another shot but hopefully the portion size is a bit more satisfying next time. The four stars are for the organization on opening day. Enough employees and Isabel at the counter was exceptional. She offered samples which led to my decision. Fancy nancy was good but too much pineapple and only 2 grapes. I got the prepared small portion to go. Like many places there was a tip option on the screen. What? I did everything. All they do is ring you out. And i like the tip to go to the employee helping me. Not shared. $8.69 for the small.
