    FYVE Strawberry Lemonade
    Nick P.

I've heard about this place from the owner of Pie Life in Carol Stream. He told me this is one of the best smash burgers he's ever had. I decided to come here last night to check it out. They have a decent parking lot that is shared. Inside there were six tables and two arcade games that you can play. There are two one-person restrooms with each gender. Prices were pretty cheap. I ordered an OKC burger, FYVE dog, seasoned fries, CHYCK sauce, and strawberry lemonade. My food came out fast. I'll give this place a 4.5. Skip the fries and just order another OKC burger and the strawberry lemonade. -OKC burger 5 - this was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had in general. The double smash patties were very juicy. The jalapeño only added a little bit of heat but it all came together nicely with the other toppings. The potato bun was good. The sauce was amazing. I would just skip over the single smash and only get the double. -FYVE dog 4 - it's a good hot dog but not on the same level as the OKC burger. The CHYCK sauce was tasty on the dog. -seasoned fries 3 - the fries by themselves were meh. I'm not a crinkle cut kind of guy. I've been to a number of Middle Eastern and Indian places and their fries are crispy and well seasoned. I like those. These I would recommend getting the CHYCK sauce or the FYVE sauce to dip them in. -strawberry lemonade 5 - I really enjoyed this. I wished they had refills or a bigger cup for this.

Small spot with plenty seating: Six tables, about 28 seats. Plenty of tv's playing sports! Order at register or kiosk. OKC Burger: two smashed patties, plenty o pickles, cheesy, jalapeños not too spicy!, nice juicy goodness! Takes ten minutes for burger service (same as five guys), but burger is more reminiscent of shake shack, but with different flavor due to the toppings. Got seasoned fries. Smaller serving of Lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, perfect and crispy.

This place was surprisingly good! One of the tastiest and freshest smash burgers I had! Their special sauce had a good flavor and went well with their onions and pickles.

Wow! Awesome burger. Toppings were excellent and the burger was perfectly cooked. Hard to explain but the bun was almost like it was part of the burger. It was messy but delicious. Got some chicken tenders as well and they were dynamite. Fries were cooked to perfection and a healthy amount in the order. This place was a home run!

Glad I found a good place for a smashburger. Not my all time favorite but it is a close second. They really put out a good smash and the lattice crust hangs past the bun, leading to some extra flavor. OKC burger is a treat and not too much heat from the jalapeños. Got there just as they opened so it was a spick and span dining room. Extremely friendly owner. Recommend the Mocha Shake too.

I was in the mood for a good smash burger and this place came recommended. The menu is minimal which to me means that they really focus on what they do best. I ordered a basic 2 patty burger meal that also came with fries and a drink. At first I was taken aback by the fact that soda choices are limited to 3 types of off brand ones. However, the cola I had was better than I expected. There was a malt beverage plus shakes on the counter to choose from. Next came the burger and fries. The fries were fat crinkle variety that were perfectly salted and crispy. Those were delicious and worth the calories so make sure to order them. The OKC burger was good and didn't need the jalapeño. The smash burger had the perfect ratio of cheese to patty. The bun was fresh and fluffy. My only disappointments were I wish it was a bigger sandwich and the patties had a crusty edge with a bit more seasoning. The sauce on the burger was so good too so ask for a bit more. It was difficult to get into the parking lot if you're coming down Bloomingdale Rd from the north so you'll probably have to make a u-turn just past the restaurant. The service was great (made to order food so be patient it's worth the wait) and the owner really wanted to make sure we enjoyed our lunch. Not much inside as far as décor but I'm here for the food, not to hang out for hours. If you live nearby give this place a try but if you're not close (over 30 minute drive), find another spot.

First visit. Delicious. My smash burger and fries were so well seasoned, I didn't even need salt or ketchup.

First time in the Chicago area and I KNEW I had to make a stop at the famous Portillo's! Portillo's…read moreis an iconic Chicago fast food spot that locals swear by. Everyone I have met from Chicago absolutely loves this place and make sure to come here when they're back home. Their menu consists of a lot of Chicago staples such as the Chicago dog, Italian Beef, Beef & Sausage, along with burgers, chicken, salads, and their famous chocolate cake. There is certainly something on the menu for everyone. The interior is nostalgic and reminiscent of the Chicago street scene during the 20th century. There is a lot of vintage memorabilia around the eatery that definitely adds to the ambiance. Service is wonderful, very helpful, and they keep the restaurant clean. Ordering is easy, you can do it on a tablet/screen or at the kiosk. Food doesn't take too long to come out and is made to order. I had to get a Chicago dog with everything on it while I was here as that is one of the things they are most known for. My friend and I also split a large fry and onion ring. The Chicago Dog "everything style" includes mustard, relish, celery salt, freshly chopped onions, sliced red ripe tomatoes, kosher pickle, and sport peppers piled onto a steamed poppy seed bun. This was definitely one of the best hot dogs I've had! The snap on the hotdog itself was lovely and it had good flavor. The addition of all the Chicago Dog toppings worked so well together. This was certainly unique, but in the best way possible. Now both the fries and onion rings were out of the park. I'm a sucker for onion rings, and these were excellent. Not too heavily breaded or stringy, they were just how an onion ring should be. The fries were crispy and salted perfectly too. I will also note Portillo's isn't too expensive, especially considering the amount of food you receive. All in all, Portillo's lived up to expectations and I really enjoyed my meal here. I absolutely loved the retro interior as it was fun and captures the essence of Chicago culture. The service is great and they are very attentive. While I'm not usually a huge hot dog person, their hot dogs are an exception as tjeu high quality and stand above others. The sides are must orders as well, especially the onion rings! I will without a doubt be returning if I'm ever in the Chicago area. And next time I'll make sure to save room for their chocolate cake.

The burgers were good and cooked well, but I do think they could've used a bit more seasoning or flavor to really stand out. The fries, on the other hand, were really good--crispy and definitely the highlight of the meal. Service was efficient and the order didn't take long at all, which I appreciated. Overall, a decent spot for a quick bite, especially if you're craving classic fast food.
