I normally do not like restaurants attached to a hotel, but gave this one a shot and was pleasantly surprised. Upon entering the restaurant was very cleans and quiet. Even with customers you could hear the low playing music clearly. Our waitress Ariana was very polite and kind. She could tell by our accents we were not from up north. We asked if they had sweet tea, which they did. Someone from the south must have made it. The tea was sooo good. She explained the specials they offered and was on time with refills throughout the visit. The food was good. The Mexican Tres Leches were made perfectly. You didn't need syrup which is how I like them. The hasbrown were a little burnt (black on the bottom) but still edible. Overall this was a really great IHOP experience. Just left after 15 minutes waiting to be served! Unfriendly staff at the register, looks like they don't want to see any customers at all. With the half empty floor, they will give you a table on the way and that's it, no other service will be provided. And don't except to get at least cup of coffee... Just came for breakfast and let me say the wait time of being greeted and seated was zero which was amazing. Betsy served us; she was super sweet and professional. Usually a lot of these restaurants have only one genre of songs playing but this spot.. I was jamming with all good music. Now for the food, I got the spicy pablano omelette. The presentation of the food was beautifully made and it was delicious. (I wish I took a picture of it) Hats off to the chef! I didn't leave feeling rushed to get out of there. Probably my worst experience at IHOP. Staff gave the impression they didn't want anyone dining there. Walked in and no one at the front to greet me. Had to walk in and signal to someone to be seated. Got seated and no condiments, at all. No ketchup, salt or pepper. Server came by after about 20min and took our order. Then another 25-30 mins until we got it. Ofcourse our order was wrong. We asked for egg whites and got regular eggs, no toast, no shell eggs. Got the toast and it was burnt and shell eggs seem rushed and undercooked. As my "go to" ihop near APG. It's still as expected. Middle afternoon Sunday and the place was fairly empty. Food came out timely and was typical ihop fare Disappointed that I tried the new poblano omelette (and especially cause it comes w avocado). I requested to add mushroom and spinach and w cracked eggs I ate about 1/3rd of the egg before getting to the shredded beef. And 1/2 way thru determine there were no avocados. When I asked the server, I was told the avocados weren't ripe. (Advice: tell this to patrons when they first order and item that contains avocados that they won't get avocados. We waited 15 mins for a table( there were plenty of clean open tables available the entire time, perhaps they were short staffed) then when we were seated, we sat for another 10 mins with no one even stopping by our table to greet us or take drinks. We get this IHOP at 5:00pm. We order our drinks. They give us the drinks relativity quickly. We then order five meals. We waited for THIRTY MINUTES for our meals. After the 30 minutes, only three of the meals have showed up. After another 10 mintues, everyone's meals have arrived. We ate, very good food, however, after the 40 minute wait for some of us, who knows if we were just starving. One of us ordered crapes with fruit, the blueberries were nasty. We asked for refills on our drinks, the waitress splashed HALF of one of our waters all of the floor, doesn't put more water in the cup, leaves, and failed to even attempt to clean up this big spill. We were also seated right next to the restroom, when the whole place was empty. Yes, the whole place was empty and it still took 40 minutes to get our food. I personally prefer chicken wings n waffles but at IHOP you get chicken strips which is to be expected. The strips were sadly at but hard so that was a little disappointing. Normally this location does a good job and I would rate the 3 stars. But today it was sad. The people in charge of seating were overwhelmed. I stood at the counter for five minutes waiting to put my name in since it was going to be a wait. I was ignored. There were at least 20 people in front of me and one told my wife they had been waiting for 30 minutes. I saw at least four booths open and several tables available. The problem in my opinion is no management. After all most of these kids serving and seating have minimal experience and that's ok. They just need to be effectively managed. I like IHOP for breakfast a lot, its my one of the highest visiting place. But honestly this store is not up to the level in terms of service. Everything else like cleanliness looks good. Myself and my husband are both love their breakfast plates so we ordered one breakfast sampler and garden veggie omelette. I specially ordered veggie omelette without cheese. Breakfast Sampler - 2/5 Bacon was very hard, but crisp. Veggie omelette - 1/5 I asked a side of fruit with it and omelette without cheese. But when I was served, it was made with cheese as I can see a lit cheese on top of it. I asked the waitress to check, she confirmed me to bring another one without cheese. After 10 minutes she came and told me that my omelette is getting cooked again. Again when I was served I found cheese in between the omelette. If looked like they just stripped off the cheese from top and gave me the same omellete. This is very unprofessional. I asked the waitress to take it back and I dont need another. She dint charge us for the omelette. So yeah I had very bad experience here. read more

This place is filthy! They must not own a broom. The waitresses/waiters are all filthy looking, including the manager. Dirty uniforms the restaurant stinks and every time I come in here the receipts never match. Both times I get charged for the wrong order. I'm thoroughly unimpressed with this IHOP location both in food quality and in "hospitality". Unfortunately it was the closest to my hotel so I again learned the lesson that being close does not always mean good. The eggs were over cooked(burned), hash browns undercooked (cold inside pale but warm on the outside), toast cold without butter, cold pancakes that were burnt on the outside and gooey on the inside. To add insult to injury, we would not be seated until our entire party of 4 was here. We (2) arrived 10 minutes before our friends who were from the area arrived. The restaurant had approximately 8 guests seated and 6 people waiting in the lobby for others. This I would understand if we were at a "fine" dining restaurant but not at IHOP when there's so few people seated in the restaurant. Avoid this IHOP at all costs. read more

My husband and I went to the IHOP in Aberdeen, MD on August 13, 2023. This was our first visit there and we were highly disappointed. While the food was great, the service was absolutely terrible. It took about five minutes for anyone to come to our table for drinks. We ordered two coffees and one water. We received one coffee and a water, so my husband said my wife also wanted a coffee. A few minutes later, the server brought a cup and walked away all in one motion; she never asked if we were ready to order. When we finally put our order in, my husband asked for more coffee. He had to ask again a few minutes later. My husband's food came out first, but we didn't have any utensils and had to ask for them at that time. No one ever said where my food was. It took around seven or eight minutes before someone finally brought my food. The server never came to check on us and we had to ask for our check, which she just dropped on the table and left. She barely spoke to us the entire time. We will definitely not return to this IHOP again. read more

If Yelp allowed me to use expletives in a review, I would in this case, and I would use Def Comedy Jam expletives. The service was absolutely horrible. I honestly don't know where to begin. So here goes. I read the Yelp reviews and decided to give it a try anyway (bad decision). The reviews were on point. My wife and I got there around 5:45 PM. There were two other couples in the restaurant which made it a crowded restaurant of six people. No one came to seat us for about five minutes. Finally someone came from the back to sit us and another five minutes went by before a server came by, I think that her name was Ginger. I ordered a chicken fajita omelette and my wife ordered the crispy chicken combo. I also ordered coffee and got a half empty urn with room temperature coffee. So thirty minutes later, the server came to our table and told us that they ran out of chicken, yes, I said thirty minutes later. So, she brought us another menu and my wife ordered chicken tenders, and about that time the manager brought out an omelette and pancakes and gave it to the couple that came in after us, that was my omelette. The manager then came to my table and apologized about not running out of chicken and told us that he would have chicken strips fried for my wife instead. Twenty minutes later, I asked our server for my omelette and she stated that the cook was behind in the orders and that it would be up shortly. At about that time, the manager took another omelette to the couple that had gotten my omelette and apologized to them for giving them the wrong omelette, which they did not eat. So, fifteen minutes later I got my fajita omelette (see the picture) and of course it was disgusting. When it was delivered, I asked for my wife's meal and was told that it was not put if because they (the manager and server) thought that she was going to just eat part of my omelette. So an hour and twenty minutes into a visit at this IHOP, my wife and I were still hungry. This restaurant has a total breakdown in management up to the general manager. Do yourself a favor and avoid this IHOP. We ended up going to the McDonald's drive through and had a better meal. read more

Very inconsistent hours, never know when they're closed, even when the website hours say otherwise. Service is mediocre, waitress' aren't mean, but they aren't polite either. You walk in the door and wait at the Hostess' stand for a good 10 minutes while the employees chat and take their time. Hostess' are very short and seat you without even speaking. I don't get out of work until 9, so when i typically get there is around 9:30 - 9:45, as soon as my boyfriend & I would walk in they wouldn't even greet us, they'd say "we close at 10", the hostess wouldn't even offer us a seat, she would just stare at us, staring at her. Finally, i said "so we can't eat?" And she said "almost all the equipment is off". I personally think this service is absurd & should be handled. On Sunday, March 1, 2020 was one of the worse experiences I ever had a IHOP. There were 2 groups of people ahead of the group I was with. They were clearly short staffed. Being short staffed is not a problem when employees work together. Someone walked up front and asked who needs to be helped. When we finally got seated it took about 15 minutes before anyone greeted us. The best part of our visit was the waitress, Ginger. She apologized several times throughout our meals. I gave it 4 Stars for the cleanliness and the friendly staff.. service is slow and place isn't that full. I am glad we came in after Dinner hours. Some of the staff, need a swift kick in the Ass to get them Motivated! Smiling, but Not knowing your job, just doesn't cut it.. Maybe they should start hiring people that take pride in their work?
