Mushroom pasta
Samveda R.

Overall, solid date night spot! My favorite dish was the garlic bread. The brioche was so fluffy, and it had a unique balance of sweet and garlicky flavor. We asked for it right away since I read other reviews that it sells out daily, and our waitress informed us that we acrually got one of the few remaining ones. My mushroom pasta dish was good, I liked the texture the mushrooms, but nothing was uber unique in the dish. The portion size was also a little small compared to other Italian places I've been to, but it is understandable since it is high quality and upscale. The ambiance inside is nice, but I was expecting more of a wow factor (like Aba's chandeliers or Alla Vitas ceiling installation) We were seated close to the entrance so I wasn't sure if there was more impressive decor inside. We found free street parking outside.

Anytime I'm craving pasta, this is where my heart wants to go. Every dish is full of flavor and just makes you happy. We recently tried the tuna tartare and it was the perfect appetizer. My boyfriend and I usually share a few pasta dishes, and this time we had the Spaghetti Aglio e Olio and the Orecchiette alla Vodka Sauce, with chili flakes on the side for an extra kick. The servers are always knowledgeable and friendly, and I trust their recommendations. Such a good date spot! However, I definitely suggest making a reservation because the wait can get long.

Really fun new ish italian spot located in the Wedgewood-houston area. Very small menu and some portions are smaller than others. Designed to be share plates but with entree prices. Our server recommended two appetizers and five pastas for our table of four. Service was kind and the food was delicious but again portions were small & prices a lil high. Cocktails were amazing and the wine list was very extensive.

Iggys had me at house-made pasta. I'm a sucker for all noodles and this place is no exception. This eatery does traditional Italian style pasta with flavorful twists and surprise ingredients. I came here on a quiet weeknight without reservations and was seated right away at a cozy corner table. I wouldn't plan to do that again though, as it was decently busy. Our waiter was patient with us and explained the menu for me as it was my first time dining here. The standout of the night was the "little shells" pasta bursting with creamy, sweet, umami flavor with subtle nods toward its oceanic origin. I also enjoyed the aglio e olio. The pasta has nowhere to hide with this dish, but the restaurant earns its reputation in Italian cuisine with its crafted-to-perfection spaghetti. Other dishes I enjoyed and would reorder include the whipped ricotta and arancini. I skipped the savory garlic bread for the crudo this time, but next time ordering it is a must. With all that said, I recommend you come here for the noodles themselves - everything else is a bonus. If you're craving quality pasta, look no further than Iggys!

Amazing wine list!

One of the best meals I've ever had. The Michelin guide (& several other "Best of Nashville" lists) led me to Iggy's. The last time I trusted the Michelin Guide for Italian, we hit Bancone in London. This was even better. Chef Ryan Poli was in command of the kitchen, and I had a front row seat at the Chef's Counter. Matthew Poli, his brother and the GM/master sommelier stopped by several times as I enjoyed a couple cocktails and (a few) glasses of wine. I even got a free glass of wine! The garlic bread is so unique! Sweet and savory and a perfect complement to the meal. The gem salad was the most perfect combination of flavors and textures- the best salad I've had since The French Room at the Adolphus in Dallas. Rigatoni Bolognese is the pasta you dream about. So rich and delicious. And that lemon huckleberry soft serve! Absolutely exquisite!!!!

Tried the ripped ricotta, the agnolotti, gnocchi with goat cheese, the shells and the coffee brownie soft serve. The ripped ricotta was really good. It had jam and onions on it. The gnocchi was my favorite. I loved the crunchiness of the bread crumbs but the lightness of the goat cheese. The agnolotti was also a . It was sweet and buttery but had a nice lemon finish. The shells were good but slightly salty. The soft serve was good. It is homemade. Lastly, I would come again the food was excellent. Although I did feel like the wine list was lacking options per glass.

Ive been listening to Chef Poli's podcast " How Did I Get Here" since 2023 before he opened Iggys & became a fan of his by listening. His passion for the art of making food & the community of local restaurateurs he brought on to his show makes it a high recommend if youre into pods. Nashville is a city of many transplants & its fascinating to hear how some of the talented individuals got here & what motivates them to feed us so well. Chef Ryan's own history in the industry lends credibility to the level of quality & the experience of dining at Iggy's. Wedgewood used to have very little to offer in terms of dining but now there is an ever expanding list of bangers calling the area home & Iggys stands among the very best. The Michelin Guide just shouted to the world how legit the area is after their recent publication. Several of my favorite Yelp El-eat-ers had raved about going to Iggys over the last year so I decided to finally get down there for my birthday dinner. The restaurant itself was warm & inviting with an open kitchen facing the dining room. I highly recommend the chef's counter seating if you are a dining alone or with another. Being at the counter allowed us to see everything on the menu before ordering & the opportunity to chat with our server who was a delight & reminisced with us about some of the parts of Nashville's food scene that are now long gone. We started off with the whipped ricotta & the soon to be world famous Iggys garlic bread. Both were mouth wateringly good & so different from one another. While it would be a sin to dine here without having the garlic bread I think both are worth getting no doubt. For our pasta mains we went with the seasonal butternut squash tortellini & the goat cheese gnocchi. The pasta here is perfection I loved both of them but not equally as the butternut squash tortellini stole the spotlight with its caramelized bacon richness. Even though we were stuffed, we had to try a dessert & went with the signature Lemon Huckleberry which is topped with their in house soft serve. It was everything you want in a dessert, sweet, tart, delicate, just perfect. I also had the barrel & peel cocktail which was very good. Pretty much an old fashioned with cacao bitters and garnished with a lemon peel so you get a wonderful mellow chocolate finish with each sip. This is one of the best spots in town no doubt & deserves your business.

You know it's a good meal when I took photos at the beginning and end only. Best Hugo in Nashville currently for me. Pastas were superb. I think we ordered the entire menu, but I never felt too full afterwards. I could tell I was eating amazing quality. The dessert is something I still dream of. No words!

I was so excited to try Iggys and we made a reservation well in advance. The service was super attentive and helpful when ordering. The interior was very nice and low lighting made it perfect for a date night. But I was just not impressed at all with the food. The prices were outrageous and the food was subpar. The garlic bread had barely any flavor and it was like a sponge. The spaghetti was way too lemony. The carbonara was like eating a spoonful of salt. It was so hard to eat more than a bite it was as if someone spilled the entire thing of salt in it. And lastly the gnocchi sauce was not very good to supplement the gnocchi. It was like a flavorless pasta cube. I personally wouldn't recommend but some people clearly love Iggys.

This spot is so cute! The food was really good. Not a lot of options but everything was really tasty! The garlic bread is insane! The dessert was so good I finished it because I couldn't stop myself! Our waitress was kind and went over the menu. I would definitely go back to try more!

I had been wanting to go here forever but it just never worked out every time I had a reservation. Finally got the chance to go the other weekend. We absolutely loved it. We had 5 dishes but I only took photos of two as I forgot as the food was so good and I was just enjoying the experience. We had a truffle pasta, a butternut squash agnolotti, a gnocchi, the salad and the arancini. It was all fabulous. The service was also top notch. The atmosphere was nice. The restaurant felt like they knew their food was good and didn't need to hide behind overdone decor. This is the best pasta I have had in Nashville. It was worth the wait and loved up to the hype. I will definitely be back. Such a great experience!

This is the place to go for a local, intimate, experience! Amazing food and superb staff. We typically don't get dessert but everything was so good, we had try the sundae

I decided to try Iggys on a Wednesday prior to an event in WeHo . My friend loves this spot and I can totally see why. I dined solo on a Wednesday with a reservation which I strongly recommend. Iggys is a modern Italian restaurant known for its amazing pasta and garlic bread. I didn't try the bread but I did have a delicious seasonal heirloom tomato ricotta toast, Rigatoni Bolognese and a Singapore sling cocktail., All were great and I can honestly say the hype is real.,I can't wait to go back and try the garlic bread. Paid and street parking are available. Enjoy!

Only one of us had been to Pelato's so this was a fun experience. The food was absolutely delicious. We all shared the Potato Croquettes, Meatballs, Escargot, Burnt Broccolini, Garlic Bread, Chicken Parm, Radiatori Vodka, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Stromboli. Everything was delicious and would order again. However, the star of the show for me was the Radiatori Vodka, Burnt Broccolini, and Garlic Bread. The Radiatori Vodka was a thick radiatori pasta made in house. The pasta held a lot of the delicious vodka sauce and had just the right amount of spice to it. Even if you aren't a fan of "spicy" you would still enjoy this dish. The Burnt Broccolini was amazing. When our coworker suggested Pelato's, this was the dish that she raved about and she was correct. I didn't realize broccoli could taste this good but they found a way with just the right amount of char and lemon. The Garlic Bread, although sounds basic and plain had a garlic/cheese sauce that was out of this world. One thing to know and the waiter informed us right away is that these are "small plates". The idea is you order several dishes for the table and share. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable and told us what dishes we should order two of so everyone at our table could try. The atmosphere was semi-casual. We went on a Wednesday evening and they were very busy. We had a reservation and I would highly suggest making a reservation before you go. All dishes are treated tapas style and were all delicious. For a high-end dining experience, I always expect an extra umff in their dishes. The stars were definitely the burnt broccolini and lemon and shrimp pasta, with the potato croquettes not far behind. Vodka pasta and chicken parmigiana left some to be desired. Chicken parm was a very thin piece of chicken, tasty but nothing over the top. While the vodka pasta was also tasty, just not something to go crazy over. Drinks were pricey but delicious, and service was great with a nice ambiance. Overall, great experience!

The restaurant is in a complex of several establishments. The dining room decor is modern with seating on two levels. When we arrived, we had to wait a few minutes to be seated as the restaurant was fairly busy on a Monday night, I assume due to the happy hour special that runs all night. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer to start and some drinks. The appetizer came out promptly and was nicely done, with plentiful helpings of burrata and cherry tomatoes layered with balsamic pearls. The pearls have the appearance of caviar so it was a pretty and flavorful twist. Unfortunately, that was the end of the positives. Our dinner entrees included the chicken parmesan and grilled salmon. Both were overcooked and the salmon in particular (I asked for it to be rare in the center) was so throughly cooked it had a very grainy texture. The sauce was bland and the pasta overly soft. Service was pretty one-note as well, not rude but not particularly attentive either. Dinner ran $120 with tip including two cocktails and one beer. Really disappointing.

I tried St. Vito Focacceria while on a business trip in Nashville. I tried to not be influenced by the fact that Dave Portnoy reviewed it, and that they hold a Michelin recognition. But tbh, I can't say for sure that I wasn't biased. Their pizza is a thick, airy hybrid between pizza and focaccia. Some people call it Sicilian-style pizza, although I can't confidently say whether it's true Sicilian or not. I've heard traditional Sicilian pizza can be a bit thinner, but whatever category this falls into, it's delicious and unique. What I ordered: - Pepperoni: because c'mon, you can't have pizza without pepperoni. I liked this one as the better of the two. - The classic: with them naming it the classic you have to at least try it, right? The classic was excellent too though to me, just really tased like the pepperoni without the pepperoni. For both The sauce is a little sweeter than what I'm used to, but not in a bad way. In fact, I think Dave was spot on when he said you can't really compare this directly to traditional pizza. It's pretty much in its own category. Don't expect a classic New York or Neopolitan. Of note, I decided to literally run over from my hotel rather than do delivery. The trip to/from was only about half a mile each way, but it makes me feel better to think I physically earned my pizza by burning a few calories first. Surprisingly, the slices held up well inside the box on the run back to the hotel. Dave gave this place an 8.1. But my palette is not as refined as his. For me, I'd give them a solid 5 out of 5 stars (no decimals for me) Next time I'll dine in instead of taking it to go. It was a pretty casual ambiance when entered so i could have dined in with my casual workout clothes. Maybe I should have just asked them if I could convert my takeout to dine in.
