Five stars because the staff was amazing, my husband had a GREAT time, and the experience was enjoyable. Hubby gives it 5+ undeniable stars, 3.5 star experience FOR ME, taking *everything* into consideration. (I'm more of an adrenaline junkie.) Hubby & I wanted to do something a little different during our brief stay in Roseville and we could almost see this place from our hotel so iFly was it. I've always toyed with the idea of skydiving so this seemed like a great introduction. I have NO IDEA how it happened but I purchased tix for a different location and they were VERY HELPFUL in getting it changed around for us. We signed the waivers, suited up, got a quick instruction and then the flights began. Our group was pretty full with 8 people but I went first. 60 seconds. That's it. You "fly" for 60 seconds, completely and 100% of the time attached to the instructor. Mind you, he was GREAT and I can, in hindsight, understand why they hold on to you but it was not what I imagined. That said, I am GLAD I paid $20 for the "high flight" so I could experience a little bit of something more than going in a circle. Hubby found it totally exhilarating! He has a wonky back (no injuries) and had no issues. I'm certain if we lived closer, he'd be going back for more! The whole experience was about an hour and half so taking into consideration I flew for 120 seconds, it's a pretty pricey hobby. We got a deal (because it was a weekday morning) and with the 2 high flights = $218. (Regular price would've been $280.) Anyhow, glad I did it, would definitely recommend, might enjoy it again with a group of friends or family but it's likely a one time thing for me. There was a good deal offered after our flights and I know hubby would've gone for it it we weren't so far away. ***Our instructor was AMAZING with the two young and very nervous kids in our group. He was patient but pushed/encouraged them and they FLEW the 2nd round, ending with just the biggest smiles and high fives ever!***

We took our local Scout Pack and Troop to iFly Roseville for the STEM Nova "Up and Away!" experience and it was such a fun time! They started with a quick STEM talk and went over the rules. Then they got to watch a cool physics demo in the wind tunnel using stuffed animals, balls, and even water to show how air and gravity work. The staff even showed off some flying tricks. The kids loved it. After that, the Scouts split into two groups. One group went into a separate room and did a hands-on activity where they built parachutes. The other group got to suit up and start flying! Each Scout got a turn in the tunnel with an instructor, then came back for a second turn where they went even higher on a high flight. They were all smiles! Then the groups switched. The staff was awesome, friendly, patient, and great with the kids. The also let us bring in our own food for dinner, and scheduled time to eat between the demo and the activities, which worked out great. At the end, each Scout got a certificate for completing the program. Overall, this was such a fun and unique way to earn the STEM Nova award. Highly recommend for any Scout group looking for something a little different! They also offer this package for other groups as well.

We took our daughter to iFLY for her birthday, and she absolutely loved it! My husband joined her, and they both had an amazing time. Our instructors, John and Casey, were super professional, friendly, and so encouraging. The time flew by (literally!), and upgrading to go higher was totally worth it. She's already talking about going back--and one day, actually skydiving! Thank you, John and Casey, for making her birthday such a memorable and exciting experience!

The Stem field trip was so much fun. Not only did the kids get to fly the got to learn and do fun experiments. Physics demonstrations in the wind tunnel was their favorite. Thank you Ifly team. My kid had so much fun flying the first time with his class we immediately flew again right after the field trip ended.

You can barely make out the print stating exemption expiration. They never mention this when you purchase them. BUYER BEWARE.
    R G.

I can't emphasize enough what a scam job this place deploys. Upon completing your "flight", they offer discounted vouchers for future use. What they fail to tell you, is how they expire within 21 days. You can't even read the tiny print that states it. First off, who in their right mind will return within 21 days? Second, do you really need to be this strict about redemption expiration? Like I said, total scam job. I hate this place and I tell everyone I know what awful ownership they must have. Ripping off everyone with these return vouchers...you should feel ashamed of yourself. Pathetic!

Getting ready to do the high flight.

My husband wanted to jump from a plane for his birthday however since it is in January we decided to do IFly now and then jump when it was warmer. All I can say is just keep taking my money. Such a great experience. We both had a trouble figuring out how to position our bodies the first flight. Our instructor was so patient with us. Such an amazing experience. Definitely going to be doing this more. Honestly feel this gives me more confidence for the plane jump. Highly recommend the Sacramento IFly team. Such great people. I will also add you need to be sure to get the high flight. Trust me it will not feel that high and you will feel amazing after.

Hau and the other instructors are great. I've been bringing my seven year old in for flight training and it's been worth every dollar.

100% recommend! My daughter and husband had the most amazing experience and so much fun. Smiling ear to ear the whole time. The instructors were super nice and fun. At the end you get the option to fly again for an additional $20 or fly high up for an additional $40, they both chose to do it again. We will definitely be back.

The instructors were…read morevery polite and no-pressure, the experience was thrilling, and we were safe, so five stars. I wish they sold t-shirts! I do recommend it. But here are some caveats to consider before you go: 1. The liability waiver is nuts. There's no insurance and you cannot sue. If you do sue, then you have to pay THEIR legal fees. Wowza. Fortunately the instructors have thousands of jumps of experience each. They're very confident and have never had a fatality. 2. No bathrooms, just a porto potty. 3. The plane is tiny...think of a flying tunafish can. Two jumpers per flight only. (Plus a pilot and the tandem instructors.) 4. This place is in Minden. You DO gets views of Lake Tahoe from the plane, but you're mostly looking at mountains and valleys (beautiful) while decending. 5. Because Minden is at 4,700 feet (and your jump is from 12,000 or 14,000), it's a shorter freefall than starting a sea level. Also, the landing is faster because you're landing in thinner air then if you were lower. This was noticeable compared with the jump I did a long time ago from a spot that's near sea level. 6. The video/photo package is worth it. The pics are so/so because they're from a GoPro and distort images, but the video is an incredible memory! Again, it was a great 5 star experience, but it's important to have an accurate view of what to expect.

Can finally check off skydiving from my bucket list!…read more My friends and I came here twice but were only able to skydive once. The first time we came was when there was a fire incident (not their fault), causing the airport to be shutdown. Thankfully, we were able to jump the second time we came. Upon arriving, you are required to fill out a waiver and watch a video about safety and onboarding. If you are over 200 lbs, be prepared to pay $1 per lb. The first time we came, the person helping us said that we could decide to purchase the photos/videos after recording them, since we were unsure whether we wanted them. The second time we came, they didn't allow us to do that and made us pay upfront. When we came to skydive, they were quite behind schedule. Our reservation was at 12 pm, but we didn't start until 1 pm. They can only bring up 2 people at a time due to the size of the plane, so if you're coming with a large group, expect to go in pairs. Each pair took around 30-45 minutes; we finished all our jumps around 2:45 pm. The skydiving experience itself was AMAZING! My instructor was Gus, who was super chill and explained to me all the instructions. I loved his enthusiasm and he made me feel so calm yet excited to jump. Greg is the other instructor, and he is also very detailed in his explanations. The plane ride up was smooth, although it's a bit tight and there are no seats. You get a nice view of the city and north bay once you're up in the air. You climb up to around 9000 in altitude, before the first person goes in their tandem skydive. At the end of your skydive, you get a certificate. If you want to get a skydiving license, you have to dive 25 times, and this counts as one of the dives. If this is your first time skydiving, I'd encourage you to get the video/photos to look back on. The whole thing goes by so fast. The video was a bit cringe to film and watch back, but I don't have any regrets getting it. It is $100 if you want either video or photos or $140 for both. The photos are just stills from the video, so it's bit pricey to pay an extra $40 on top for both. Overall, I had a fun time skydiving with Skydive Golden Gate. The instructors and staff were great, and the whole experience was thrilling and certainly gave me an adrenaline rush. The main downsides were the delays in schedule and the pricing for photos/videos. That being said though, I would still come back here and jump again!

That earned my respect right there. We met at the site at 6 am, not 6:01 or 6:12, 6am or before. Temperature plays a huge role in height and duration of flight. On time and safety are expected and delivered. At 6 sharp the ride started with tip over training, safety, and a brief roll call and waiver check and explanation. Important stuff! The balloon is beautiful and the pilots wife makes sure there are plenty of pics, she's super sweet and helpful. Takeoff is a bit disorienting, part helicopter, part jump. Once you hit the sky though, it's amazing. It is such a great feeling to float. Tim has a great sense of humor and can tell a story with gusto... between bursts of fire into the balloon. I have no idea how high we were but cows were hard to make out, they were that small. The morning couldn't have been more perfect. The landing was a bit bumpy, our training came in handy. I couldn't stay silent about this. I love adventures, and if you're like me, don't waste your money and time. John said he would email us the night before to confirm the jump, depending on the weather. He sent the email confirming the jump, everyone knew it would be drizzling. It was a long drive for all jumpers (2-3 hours), and when we arrived at the confirmed location, he spent the entire time trying to convince us not to do the adventure. He kept saying it would be cold (today is 12/28/24 it was 52 degrees in Placerville) and wet (really? You knew it'd be drizzling since yesterday). And he said it wasn't dangerous and he has experience in all weather conditions...but since we were all women, apparently we were too weak, right John?! He asked if we'd be okay with the weather and all the women (four jumpers) said we'd be fine. However, he apparently wasn't happy with our response, so he continued trying to dissuade us. The guy with him, Ludo, was really cool, uplifting, and professional (Dude! If you're reading this, go start your own business; you're great). Anyway, after everyone reassured him about the weather, John asked me if we could talk privately. He then expressed his concern that I might not be able to do the adventure because I'm on the "heavier side." Just to clarify, I'm a 5'7" woman, 140 lbs, and very active. When I unzipped my jacket he goes : "-oh wow, you got a flat stomach, but you know what?? Are you sure your friends would be ok to be out there in the cold with you?" (I had two guests with me) With the other woman, he claimed she didn't have the right clothes and continued to discourage us for over an hour. Even when we said we were ready to go and do the jump, he said he'd cancel it. Furthermore, if you didn't know, he doesn't have a permit for his "adventures". Be careful, don't trust your life to this guy.

(But as John warned, do not let the GoPro interfere with being aware during your jump). One of my group members has a history of back problems so they recommended going with the body harness instead of the ankle harness we all paid for. She immediately got her money back and I was reassured that I could switch harnesses if I ended up chickening out of the ankle one. However, I am so happy I went with the ankle harness as it truly felt like I was flying during the jump. You may choose to go forward or backward and let me tell you it is terrifying to turn around on the railing but definitely worth it!! The location we went to was breathtaking and peaceful. We the weather being so unpredictable we had to wait. I was fine with wait because i do value my life. I had the chance to cross off a major item from my bucket list. A hot air balloon ride and wow, what an experience! The views were absolutely breathtaking. Floating high above the landscape, seeing everything from a completely new perspective, was truly magical. The sunrise was especially beautiful as we drifted along, and the silence up there, broken only by the loud occasional burst of the burner, was unlike anything I've ever experienced. That said, there were a few things to consider. The heat from the burner can be overwhelming, especially if you're not prepared for it. I didn't wear a hat, and I really wish I had and i am short 5'2 those blasts of hot air can get pretty intense when they hit you directly! So, if you're planning this trip, definitely bring something to cover your head. The landing was a bit of a wild ride, too. The ground was much harder and more uneven than I expected, and we didn't quite know where we'd land until we were almost on top of it. Also getting in and out can be extremely challenging. It's hard climbing into and out of the basket and it's very tightly packed. Not a lot of space to move. I knew the risks going in but the whole experience was so worth it. Even with those little surprises, it was absolutely incredible. Would I do it again? Definitely not! Despite the heat and the bumpy landing, the beauty of the experience makes it all worthwhile and a one timer for me. I highly recommend it if you're looking for something unique and unforgettable to add to your list of adventures. Just don't forget your hat!
