This was my second time at iFLY, and while last year was fun, this year was truly amazing. I was there with my son Lex, who has special needs. He's nonverbal and uses a wheelchair. I initially asked the staff whether he would qualify for a special needs or disabled flight at a future visit because I honestly didn't think there would be room or that it would be possible. They immediately reassured me that he could fly, and I figured we'd come back another time. Then something really special happened. Even though Lex doesn't attend the same school as my daughters that were there on a field trip (he goes to a different school with a special education program), the school approached me and offered us an extra spot. I said yes, not really knowing what to expect. From that moment on, the staff was incredible, kind, patient, gentle, and completely accommodating. They treated Lex with dignity and enthusiasm, not hesitation. He got to fly twice, and he absolutely loved it. When he finished, everyone clapped and cheered for him, and it was one of those moments you don't forget as a parent. I can't say enough good things about the experience. This place was amazing! From being greeting kindly by the employee in the front area to her walking us through the entire experience of what needed to be done and what we could expect. We met with an instructor as a group who went over all of the safety instructions, we changed into jumpsuits and received more instruction. Everyone lined up and went one by one into the cylinder area. I liked that everyone on the outside could watch each person as they flew around. Five stars because the staff was amazing, my husband had a GREAT time, and the experience was enjoyable. Hubby gives it 5+ undeniable stars, 3.5 star experience FOR ME, taking *everything* into consideration. (I'm more of an adrenaline junkie.) Hubby & I wanted to do something a little different during our brief stay in Roseville and we could almost see this place from our hotel so iFly was it. I've always toyed with the idea of skydiving so this seemed like a great introduction. I have NO IDEA how it happened but I purchased tix for a different location and they were VERY HELPFUL in getting it changed around for us. We signed the waivers, suited up, got a quick instruction and then the flights began. Our group was pretty full with 8 people but I went first. 60 seconds. That's it. You "fly" for 60 seconds, completely and 100% of the time attached to the instructor. Mind you, he was GREAT and I can, in hindsight, understand why they hold on to you but it was not what I imagined. That said, I am GLAD I paid $20 for the "high flight" so I could experience a little bit of something more than going in a circle. Hubby found it totally exhilarating! He has a wonky back (no injuries) and had no issues. I'm certain if we lived closer, he'd be going back for more! The whole experience was about an hour and half so taking into consideration I flew for 120 seconds, it's a pretty pricey hobby. We got a deal (because it was a weekday morning) and with the 2 high flights = $218. (Regular price would've been $280.) Anyhow, glad I did it, would definitely recommend, might enjoy it again with a group of friends or family but it's likely a one time thing for me. What a special place. We had our son's 8th birthday party here and the team did an incredible job. Everything was executed perfectly. The flight instructor, Jorge, was kind, patient, and super fun for the large group of 13 amped up kids. The flight staff was super communicative and helped us organize the party room with ease. We took our local Scout Pack and Troop to iFly Roseville for the STEM Nova "Up and Away!" experience and it was such a fun time! They started with a quick STEM talk and went over the rules. Then they got to watch a cool physics demo in the wind tunnel using stuffed animals, balls, and even water to show how air and gravity work. The staff even showed off some flying tricks. The kids loved it. After that, the Scouts split into two groups. One group went into a separate room and did a hands-on activity where they built parachutes. The other group got to suit up and start flying! Each Scout got a turn in the tunnel with an instructor, then came back for a second turn where they went even higher on a high flight. They were all smiles! Then the groups switched. The staff was awesome, friendly, patient, and great with the kids. The also let us bring in our own food for dinner, and scheduled time to eat between the demo and the activities, which worked out great. At the end, each Scout got a certificate for completing the program. Overall, this was such a fun and unique way to earn the STEM Nova award. Highly recommend for any Scout group looking for something a little different! They also offer this package for other groups as well. read more

I can't emphasize enough what a scam job this place deploys. Upon completing your "flight", they offer discounted vouchers for future use. What they fail to tell you, is how they expire within 21 days. You can't even read the tiny print that states it. First off, who in their right mind will return within 21 days? Second, do you really need to be this strict about redemption expiration? Like I said, total scam job. I hate this place and I tell everyone I know what awful ownership they must have. My husband wanted to jump from a plane for his birthday however since it is in January we decided to do IFly now and then jump when it was warmer. All I can say is just keep taking my money. Such a great experience. We both had a trouble figuring out how to position our bodies the first flight. Our instructor was so patient with us. Such an amazing experience. Although the experience was fun, it lacked some key things. The instructor was not very helpful and felt extremely rushed. This was my first time, and I had no idea what to do when I got in the wind tunnel. It was like the experience was over in less than 5 minutes. Once it was over, there was no one to greet you off and/or offer you any souvenirs to purchase for your experience. It was kind of disappointing. Almost as if they couldn't wait for you to leave and on with the next. I know you have the option to select pictures/videos at the time of purchase, which I didn't do. We had so much fun we went for my daughter's birthday gift. I like how they go over all the directions with your group before entering the camber. If you forget your shoes they have you covered with some back ups. What is nice they make sure everyone is having a good time and if you do have a person not wanting to go in they respect that and keep moving along with those still going into the wind chamber. Rough my nephew and was a fun experience for him. The staff was very friendly and patient. My nephew is a high energy with lots of questions lol. They do a quick training, suit them up and get them lined up. They are in a group of others so they take turns. They offer an extra fly when you're there and will ask the guardian prior to the flyer since it comes at an additional cost. If the guardian says no, they won't offer to the flyer. They also ask how high the flyer wants to go. Going extra high is an extra cost so they ask the guardian before offering to the flyer. Pricing is expensive and there are lots of add ons. They offer huge discounts after you fly, so it is better to book something smaller, see how you like it and then buy a larger package after your fly. They are like 40-50% off of you wait. read more

So the wife wanted to give my daughter the best gift for her birthday. She definitely gave her the best gift with iFLY. Check in was super easy. The staff here are top notch. The flight instructor assigned to my kids group was the best. Now it's time to fly. I had tears coming out of my eyeballs seeing my kids reaction to flying. They were having the best time of their lives. Just seeing my kids happy made me the happiest dad in the world. I would totally recommend this place to any parents. Got a voucher for my birthday and tried to book a reservation. Apparently they changed their voucher system and will keep giving me the run around on who I need to contact to redeem my voucher. When i call, no one answers or it says ifly is closed even though it's within business hours. They don't answer their calls and don't return our messages. And when you do get a hold of someone, they don't know what to do and will say they will call back when they won't. I got robbed of a birthday experience. Do not recommend this scam business. Trying indoor skydiving has been on my husband's bucket list (which became mine as well ) for years. We were going to try it in Vegas a few years back but didn't have time. They finally opened one near Sacramento, so last year I decided to gift this as a birthday present for my husband. I went online to their website to check out the deals since there were no Groupon's available. The process was pretty simple. It's not cheap so I got two flights for both of us. We went during the afternoon on a weekday, so it wasn't that crowded. A kid's birthday party did come behind us though so we had to share our flight time with them. We checked in then waited because we had to watch the safety and procedure video. After the video, you get your flight gear; helmet ( you have two choices), suit, etc. You sit in the waiting area of the wind tunnel until it's your turn. They let us go first since it was only two of us then the birthday attendees could enjoy their flights. I was kinda nervous but said what the heck. I went first. I stepped in but couldn't breathe out my nose so I took in a bunch of air through my mouth. I could not catch my breath. I was trying to fly out of there but had 60 seconds. I was hyperventilating but nobody knew but me. The guy kept trying to straighten my legs and arms but I wasn't budging...I was trying to breath so I forgot all about the technique to fly. The time felt like it was going by so slow. I saw '0'. I was finally done. My husband asked if I was ok. I told him what happened and said I'm not getting back in; he could do my second flight...lol. So they take pictures while you're in there and you get to pick a picture. Oh my goodness I was like is that how i was looking.... I was wondering why the kids and parents were staring.... I can say I experienced it but if I ever do try it again I'll use the full face helmet instead of the goggles. read more

Went here for a field trip with my daughter's class. Everyone had a blast. They incorporated STEM subjects in two classroom sessions. Loved how they explained how the fans worked.
