Take wing and DO THIS! I bought this adventure as a birthday present for the hubby, and he loved it (as well he should have). Andy was a great pilot and flew that biplane with gusto. Needless to say, I made sure to pay the little extra so hubby could experience the aerobatics this plans could do...giant loops and barrel rolls and cutting toilet paper (you'll have you fly to know what I'm talking about on that one). If you've been thinking about it, I highly encourage anyone and everyone to try this adventure at least once. My brother & sister-in-law joined my wife and I at Adventure Flight in Lincoln this past Sunday. We were there for open cockpit, biplane rides. What a fantastic experience. Years ago there was a period where I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in small, private, single engine airplanes. Except for long-hauls, I always enjoyed them more that commercial jet flights - the experience is more up close and personal. Anyway, nothing compares to my biplane experience at Adventure Flight. What a bunch of fun. Andy is a skilled and personable pilot. I had signed up for aerobatics and although slightly apprehensive, I was committed to "sticking to the plan". The pilot made it easy, comfortable and excitingly memorable. We did multiple, giant loop de loops and barrel rolls along with other maneuver that I can't name. I am not a young man .... but, I can honestly say this was one of the most fun things I have done in my life .... Consequently, I plan to do it again. I highly recommend Adventure Flight. Andy answered of all my questions and helped me select the best flight to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. With Andy's assistance, I decided to go with the SNJ-4. My boyfriend had a wonderful time and said Andy was an awesome pilot. Andy eased him into the acrobatics above Folsom Lake. He said the best part about the acrobatics were the barrel rolls. The loops made him a bit nauseous, but he was so glad he had a chance to experience it. Andy has mounts in his plane, which allowed me to capture the moment on the GoPro. Late review, but better late than never. I took my sister and daughter as a celebratory of my sister's birthday and my daughter's success in achieving straight A's. We had the best experience flying a plane. The instructor was polite, friendly and awesome. He was very detailed, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He made us feel safe and allowed each of us to fly the plane. I'll definitively go back again and highly recommend it. read more

This experience on Father's Day of being able to take flight on a historical airplane "T-50 Bobcat" left the 3 of us grateful, humbled and definitely in awe. My wife got me a ride in the Cessna T-50 (aka Bamboo Bomber) for our anniversary. This was without a doubt one of the best gifts I've gotten. She knows I love planes and while there are a couple of modern days fighter jets I like, I really love planes from the era that they fly. Planes back then had style and you can't beat the sound of a radial engine! While I did not get the chance to speak to Laurie, my wife did and said she was very nice. When we arrived Andy (and the dogs) were there to great us. We climbed into the T-50 (wife let me take shotgun since it was my present) and Andy gave us a quick run down of safety items (fire extinguisher, etc) and off we went. What a great flight out over Folsom lake including the dam. It was a perfect day for flying with just some light clouds. Andy was more than happy to answer any questions I had about the plane and was great to have as a pilot. Overall I would highly recommend going out and taking a flight (or two). In fact, as soon as we got home, I got a flight on the T-50 for my wife but she gets shotgun this time. As for me, just trying to decide which flight will be next, the N3N-3. or the SNJ-4. Most likely both eventually!! read more

I'm a little late with my review, but in September I was given the gift from my family to finally ride in a bi-plane!!!!! My dream come true. Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint. Andy and Laurie were the nicest and friendliest people. I am an aviation enthusiast and this has been a long time dream of mine. I had lots of questions and Andy was so kind to answer them all. I also had some flight time under my belt so he even let me take control a time or two! When it came down to actually doing aerobatics, he eased on into them and it was like we were floating in the sky. Literally the best feeling I have ever had! Top 5 experiences in my life. I mean come on, nothing can go ahead of a wedding, right?! I purchased 30 minutes on the N3N-3 Biplane, i just wanted to check it out get a little fresh air, i figured i could fly a plane, and maybe do some barrel rolls. But when the day finally came ( waited like six months ) I pulled into the parking lot, and my nerves got me. I was so flipping excited, today was the day! MY stomach started to churn, thank goodness i skipped lunch. I walked in, I saw all the planes in the hanger, an amazing site to see for someone who enjoys planes. Anyhoo, I was greeted by Andy the owner, when then introduced me to Steve my pilot. Walked right out to the plane, hoped in, Steve fired her up and away we went. No seriously! it was within minutes, from so excited nearly vomiting to up up and away. I live in Lincoln so we did a couple circles around the house, I got some sweet pics. Ok i got a lot of sweet pics. Then flew down to Folsom, saw the dam, flew across the whole lake, talk about a view. Up to Auburn, then back into Lincoln. I was really hesitant still for flight acrobatics still coming from at first booking it at the idea i would. finally i agreed to do a loop. I was talked through it, which sounds more intense than it actually was, i was still hesitant but said yes, cause i might actually regret not taking this chance of a life. The second we dipped down to start the loop my brain said, "i instantly regret this!" digging into the loop i was still "i'm still regretting this" then once upside down, i was like "ok we probably wont die." The moment when i was upside down, i felt the safest what a weird emotional rollercoaster. Then I had a smile cause now I'm just laughing cause, one, I didn't die, and two, obviously Steve can fly this thing. Back to Lincoln, and we landed safety. I toured a flew other planes in the hanger before going on with my day. TOP5! You leave this world the way you came in, alone and crippled but you get to take with you on the way out memories. read more

I can't say enough good things about the flight. The whole experience, start to finish, was awesome. My kids (8 and 10) got to help FLY THE PLANE (Bamboo Bomber). Talk about a permanent grin on my kids' faces! Andy was so good with the kids. We showed up early (oops), and he took the time to show them how he was doing a pre-flight check and what some of the gauges were all about, and told them about the history of the plane. My son was all over the experience and had so many questions. My daughter was really nervous, and Andy made her feel comfortable and made her laugh. If you have the chance to go here, DO IT. When we got home, my son started digging through his room and flipping over couch cushions, looking for spare change to save up and take flight lessons to be a pilot when he grows up. I booked this flight for my dad as a late father's gift on June 23rd. He rode the N3N and had a blast. The only reason I'm not giving this a 4-5 star is because the plane was leaking oil and when it turned upside down, oil leaked all over my dad's leg which made him concerned about the plane but Andy, the pilot assured my dad it was fine. I would suggest making sure no oil is leaking during take off or if that is NORMAL, then figure out a way so oil does not get onto the rider but other than that, it was amazing for my dad. read more

Adventure Flight felt like family the moment I walked through the door! When I arrived, pilot Andy's wife, Laurie, was warm and welcoming, introducing me to their dogs, showing me around, and even taking pre-flight pictures. The bi-plane is a beautiful machine! After climbing in, Andy made me feel very comfortable for my first open cockpit ride and super confident in his expertise as a pilot. I flew on the SNJ-4 and the N3N-3 and had a fantastic time. I had to drive about two hours to get to Adventure Flight and it was definitely worth it. The planes were great, the pilot Andy was great, and the opportunity to fly in these planes, and even fly them a little, was great. Highly recommend. read more

Let me begin with a big WOW! My son, myself and two granddaughters went on the T-50 Bobcat flight Fathers Day. Great flight. Andy is experienced and friendly pilot who really cares about happy customers. We had a great time over Foresthill Bridge on down to Folsom lake area with Andy doing plenty of banking and turns to give us great views of the swimmers and boaters below. Great family outing and reasonably priced. I had such a great experience I went back last week to fly in the 1940 open cockpit Bi-plane. Now that was something not quickly forgotten. Andy provided a headset for me to wear and kept me posted on what we were doing and about to do. What fun. The aerobatics are GREAT. We climbed up to about 3500 feet altitude and the fun began. Lots of barrel rolls, forward and backward rolls, just like in the movies. Can,t say enough about the experience. Andy is a great guy and his wife very friendly and helpful. These flights are great experiences and I definitely expect to return to fly in the Navy SNJ-4 . read more
