(Ryan Reynolds voiceover) The vibe is the most amazing experience right here right now taking off in Mill Valley! Chris warmly greeted us! Ren too! He's super cool and helpful! The setting is picturesque and pure Bond. Yes, James Bond. The floating homes. The iconic bridges. But the planes gave me flashbacks of American Made w/ Tom Cruise. (So I'll do my best Tom Cruise impression in Maverick because I can and Tom couldn't do Deadpool anyway). Aaron was our captain. He is the epitome of calm. Great pilot! The takeoff and landing were like glass sliding doors. Amazing! The views were majestic! The Golden Gates never looked more orangely beautiful! The Bay Area has such gorgeous topography! Stinton beach! The Malibu of Northern California! Wow! And the best part was seeing Mola Mola and 3 Humpback Whales!!! Simply epic! Would do it again! Thanks Ren, Chris, and Aaron! Woohoo!

What can I say, a sea plane takes off and tours you around the city, the bridge, and the headlands! The little airport (waiting room) is under some construction...so it's not too comfy but nice enough with a gift shop for some pins or T-Shirts. After some pre-flight instructions, the pilot takes you up and we flew by the golden gate, round Ft Mason (at about 650 ft) round the ball park, back to the bridge to Marin and then a little fly by Angel Island's perimeter then landing. It was fun! 5 Seats (plus pilot) in the plane, we sat in the way back. Next 2 seats in the middle are under wing. Then one co-pilot seat is open (you don't have any obligation to fly of course). IMHO the under wing seats have an obscured view when the plane is banking, so back seats are the way to go. I've lived here for decades and it was still fantastic to do something touristy and see old parts of the bay area in new ways.

I rarely post to Yelp, but I had to share our amazing experience with Seaplane Adventures. We've lived in the Bay Area for years, and we always had on our "must do" list to take a seaplane ride, especially given how much we love it here and feel grateful to live in what we believe is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Sadly, we never got around to taking a seaplane ride. As my wife's birthday approached, I decided that a seaplane ride was the perfect present. I read so many positive reviews of Seaplane Adventures on Yelp, and called them to learn more. From my initial calls to learn more about what the flight options are and the pricing, I had a wonderful experience. Sam and Chris were both awesome on helping me lock things in (we decided on a 40 minute sunset tour with a glass of champagne at the end). I kept my wife and son in suspense on the "birthday surprise" until we pulled up in the parking lot in Mill Valley just past Sausalito. We watched the safety video and Ren was super personable, walking us down the dock and out to the plane. We met John, the pilot, who was super nice and has done a million of these flights. He made us feel super safe as we boarded the plane. From the minute we took off, we knew we'd made a wonderful choice, and were doing something extra special. We flew above Sausalito, the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands, Alcatraz, then over the city which was spectacular. We then headed over Marin, including Mt Tam which was incredible. Finally, we flew down over Stinson Beach and along the coast which was breathtaking in its beauty from the air. My wife even spotted three whales, which blew our mind and had to be the highlight of what was already a mind-blowing trip. After a super smooth landing (John is incredible), we enjoyed a glass of champagne, while we all shared what were our favorite memories. At the end, we met Aaron who owns the business, and he was awesome to talk to and capped off a special birthday for my wife. I regret waiting years to take our seaplane tour. I would highly recommend Seaplane Adventures! Here are a few pictures from our flight.

Such amazing views of the coast and the city! The pilot was great! Highly recommend. Thank you!

Absolutely life-changing experience. Pilot/owner Aaron was great, Ashley as the front desk was a gem, flight was informative and one of the coolest things I've ever done. If you're thinking about doing this AT ALL...DO IT!

An absolutely epic experience! We've passed this place hundreds of times and I was always curious about it. We've been watching a lot of shows based in Alaska where seaplanes are used for daily transportation and we've been craving a little adventure after being cooped up for a year, sooo, I booked a last minute sunset tour to surprise my husband! Very Covid safe and excellent and warm customer service. The pilot Arron was a fantastic tour guide and it was indescribable getting such an incredible view of the Bay Area. Total splurge, but worth every bit of it.

We are natives to the Bay Area and I wanted to do something special for my husband's birthday. What a great ride! The pilot was so fun. His facts on a few things were incorrect but they were tiny details compared to how engaging and fun he made the ride. The flight did take off a bit later than planned, so if you are trying to squeeze this in between appointments, I wouldn't. We weren't in a hurry so we didn't mind waiting and chatting with the other people who were going to be on our flight. It is routinely foggy in the bay area, especially in the summer, so I would recommend an afternoon flight because that's the "least foggy" time. We did our flight around 1 and still had some fog but not too bad. They flew us up to Pt. Reyes and all around the north part of the bay. We went over to SF too but couldn't go near the golden gate because of the fog. No biggy really as I've seen it a million times. We had a great time and a memorable experience.

It's so full of funky architecture, spectacular Bay views, a few hidden beaches, and plenty of colorful residents. This place is a total trip! Where else in the world can you find such a unique, seaside community with so many photo opps. Although this makes for a fun tourist destination, you have to remember that people actually live here. Translation: be respectful of the communal decks and property. Otherwise, you may endure the wrath of some salty, seaside locals. Like I said, there are quite a few characters (old hippies, young yippies, artists, etc.) who live around here. Consider yourself warned. Even when I'm not playing tour guide to guests, I like strolling here with my dog (yes, it's dog-friendly... as long as they're on leash). It's just a really relaxing spot, and it reminds me of how lucky we are to live in such an amazing area. When visiting, I'd recommend parking near the Mike's Bikes shop and Davey Jone's Deli. But be sure to lock your doors. The area can sometimes attract car burglars.

In the quaint little town of San Anselmo, CA (which happens to be tucked in between San Rafael and…read moreFairfax) lies "Imagination Park". For those that choose to visit, this is a very tiny park with only a couple of benches for sitting. Do not expect to see a playground nor is there even a water fountain or public restroom. And keep the dogs at home as this is not a pet-friendly park. The space itself is equivalent to that of a backyard of a standard house. Located right off of San Anselmo Ave. and tucked right in between Magnolia Ave. and City Hall Ave. in downtown San Anselmo, this park eventually came to life back in June 2013. This idea was spearheaded by film director George Lucas who directed mega blockbuster films such as the entire Star Wars Saga, the Indiana Jones franchise as well as American Graffiti. It is very easy to find as the location itself is just steps away from the San Anselmo Public Library as well as the Town Hall. I came here on a warmer than normal summer day on 7/15/2023 at around 4:10pm. After parking my SUV just a block away, I was awed with the beautiful collection of pink/lavender flowers with the plaque that reads Imagination Park directly above it. But the real treat here is the life-size statues of one of Star Wars most recognizable and beloved characters, "Yoda", And directly on the other side is a statue of Harrison Ford who played "Indiana Jones" in all 5 of the movies spanning from 1981-2023. While you're here, its nice just to let your imagination run wild (hence the name "Imagination" Park) and just appreciate how influential George Lucas is in all of his movies. He actually used to have a residence in San Anselmo before relocating to the more private and open Lucas Valley. So for all you movie fanatics young and old, do yourself a favor and check this place out if you're in the area. My rating, a unanimous five stars.

My answer: strenuous to moderate with water features. Well, we got just that. We met Debra and her little dog Atia at the Illumigarden parking lot, myself, 4 other friends and 4 small to medium sized dogs. We went up to the trail head on Panoramic highway--about 10 minutes from Illumigarden, parked and walked to the Matt Davis trail which would take us on a verdant walk past waterfalls and a redwood nursery to about 2/3 to the top of Mt. The most strenuous part of the hike, which wasn't so hard at all, was just before we reached West Point Inn, which has a fascinating history in and of itself. Once there we refreshed with our own snacks and drink and just enjoyed the views from this quaint mountain lodge. It was also nice to see that the lodge had tea and granola bars at their honor bar---in case we were still hungry. ;-) Then we started down a wide trail, Nora Trail, which opened up to fantastic view of Mt. Diablo, the top of Mt. Tam, Blythe trail and other beautiful vistas. It was a merry hike and a great way to start off the new year. We look forward to more hikes with Tam Hiking Tours very soon!
