Super fun! I bought my son a flight for his 14th birthday. He had never even been in a plane before, let alone flew one. Needless to say he was a bit apprehensive about his flight. When we arrived at the Airport we were greeted by our pilot and instructor Jim. He was very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable which made my son feel at ease. After a through lesson and overview of the Cesna 187 it was time for my son take the pilots seat. I was happy to tag along. My son read the pre flight checklist from the POA and off we went. Once the plane was at altitude my son had his chance to fly. He was encouraged to bank left and right and shown how to keep the nose leval. It was very exciting to see my son flying the plane. Sadly after about 20 min it was time to land. Jim landed us safely and beautifully. It was a great experience! I don't know who liked it more me or my son? I encourage anyone who has ever wanted to fly a plane to give it a try. In addition it is a very unique and fun gift to give.Years from now my son won't remember what toys or games I buy him. All planes were relocated outside for this event, except for 2 planes. These 2 planes were the back drop, of this function. Welcome, Introductions 630 - 700 pm Drinks & Hors d'oeuvres 630 - 730 pm Buffet - style dinner 730 - 900 pm Door prizes and Silent auction 900 - 930 pm Live band "Golden Caddilacs" 730 - 1030 pm Fund raiser for Charitable 501C3 Snehacare for abandoned children with HIV Http://snehacarehome.org Everything was set up accordingly. They had 3 bartenders, making sure everyone drinks were topped off. LOL The band was playing good music, which had a lot of people on the dance floor, including me and van. The buffet style meal was plentiful and delicious. The line for this meal seemed to flow without hiccups. It seemed Venus was in charge of this department. (she works front desk) Job well done I saw Chris (operations manager) running around and making sure things were in place, like extension cords, to make this event happen.. The silent auctions consist of paintings, trip to Mexico, etc... They also had candles for sale. Not sure up this point how this turned out. My wife gifted me an orientation flight. When I called to reserve a date, I was told someone would call me back - didn't happen. I called back after several days and scheduled a flight. Park was great - very nice and informative about flying. We took off, suffered an engine problem and had to declare an emergency and return to airport. I rescheduled, but later called to postpone because of a potential conflict and was told there'd be a $50 charge. I said I'd try to make it for scheduled time. I called before scheduled time to say I couldn't make it. The person I spoke to remembered my emergency problem flight and said he'd get back to me - no one has. I have to start by admitting that I'm a VERY apprehensive flyer, so much so that plying myself with multiple glasses of wine before any flight is as standard as buckling my seatbelt before take off! My husband and I decided to take a Discovery flight through JetExe when we saw a deal through Groupon. We arrived at their flight school at the executive airport in Sac. We opted for a larger plane for about $150 more so that the two of us could go up together for two hours. The other option was for each of us to go up separately for one hour each. We met our flight instructor Park who took us through the safety protocols for a few minutes and then we hopped in the plane and were off. The plane ride took us on a loop over downtown and then we circled Folsom lake and rancho seco and then headed back to the airport. My husband flew the plane for about half the time while I happily stayed as the passenger (we could have switched half way through if I wanted to fly but I was fine looking out the window). Spring was a wonderful time to fly over Sacramento. Everything is so green and the rivers are full. I would definitely recommend for a fun date! read more

I just finished a discovery flight and I couldn't have been happier with the overall experience. The staff here was very friendly from the moment I stepped into the office. They were happy to answer all of my questions before we even stepped foot outside. Now on to the flight itself. Jim was my flight instructor and he was very thorough in explaining the various instruments and how they work together to make the plane fly. We did a preflight check/walk around before taking off. Once airborne, the experience is like no other (it's a different experience than sitting as a passenger on a 737). What a phenomal time out! Take something others may have a phobia over and it turn into an addiction! Augustine is an incredible pilot and for great reasons! He's been flying over 32 years so I felt safe and secure with him right next to me. Strongly recommend this for first timers and I will definitely come back and do this again! It's been quite some time since I've written a review, however, after having the pleasure of doing business with JetEXE, I felt compelled to share my amazing experience! I contacted JetEXE to arrange a 90 minute Discovery Flight. Venus and Chris responded quickly to my emails and we scheduled a flight. Unfortunately, I had to make last minute rescheduling (as in 2 days' notice). I spoke directly with Augustine, who is the owner AND one of the instructors. A huge selling point for me is when business owners are interactive with their customers. Gives it that "personsal touch" . Now, Augustine...what can i say? He was fantastic. Highly experienced and extremely knowledgeable. He explained how things worked and even allowed us to assist with pre-flight checks. During the flight, which actually ended up being longer than scheduled, he allowed us quite a bit of hands on time and we got to see Sacramento from above. There aren't many words to explain the feeling of flying yourself over our beautiful city! Augustine took the time to really show us the amount of skill that's required to fly a plane, making turns and simulating an engine failure. I felt safe the entire time and, needless to say, gained a new respect for pilots. The cost is a little higher than other flight schools, but the return is a wealth of knowledge and a very memorable experience. In addition, they ensure safety is their top priority (Top Ten aviation school in the country AND zero incidents/accidents since opening). And, honestly, safety and experience should not be at bargain prices. I would absolutely recommend Augustine and his staff to anyone who wants to experience the joys of flying a plane! read more

I booked a session as a surprise for my husbands birthday. He is scared of heights and was a bit skeptical upon arrival. His instructor explained everything to us before we left the office in order to make him feel as comfortable as possible. By the time we headed out to check out the jet he was all smiles. The service here was fantastic and we were able to get in through admin without any issues. Our pilot, Augustine, was experienced, professional, and went above (pun intended) and beyond all our expectations. I can't speak highly enough of Augustine and his establishment. You can tell he holds incredibly high standards for his school, his pilots, and everything he touches. I trained at JetEXE. Sadly I only made it to 5 hours before having to discontinue. Their service is unprofessional and there is no curriculum being followed. If you have a serious career plan, it would be in your benefit to look somewhere else. A few things to note (FFWD to the bottom if this is too long): * There are serious scheduling problems. Anyone can change the schedule (even other students) and if you "no call no show," they will charge you for 1 hour of plane time ($155) and 1 hour of instructor time ($55). The cancellation policy is not the issue necessarily. The loose scheduling practices do not allow this policy to be enforceable (or fair to the student), but they will try anyways. * They have one airplane for a person who weighs 200 lbs and this plane is rarely available. You would be lucky to train twice a week--seriously. * The airplane they do have has sparse maintenance and simple things like a consistently dead battery are never addressed--only blamed on it being an "old plane," (so much for safety). * Augustine, their CEO, claimed to be an instructor. He led me to believe I would be getting qualifying hours from a trained professional. Sadly he is actually NOT a certified flight instructor. The hours flown with him did not count. He quietly hid this until I asked him to log a flight and his response was "I do not give logged flights, but nobody gets their certification in 35 hours and fine tuning is always necessary." (so much for safety and following FAA regulations) * The one instructor that is certified was hired a week after I paid JetEXE a hefty tuition, while I was strung along by Augustine's fine tuning until that time. If you read this review and get nothing else, you should know that training with someone who is not certified is not only illegal, but dangerous. Augustine cannot legally accept money for giving anyone ground training or flight training. He can only fly you around as a commercial pilot, for pay. This organization claims to be absolutely meticulous on safety, but when it is in the name of money, they will happily turn a blind eye. For your own health, sanity and financial well being stay far far away. There are PLENTY of other options out there. I only wish I had considered them before jumping into business with this horrible company so quickly. read more
