The camp store just opened and is fully stocked w/ beer, wine and food items. The staff is very friendly and great to talk with. The dog park areas were nice and large with a big dog wash area near the dog park. We will definitely be coming back and recommend GVRV Resort to others.

We arrived on a gorgeous Monday late morning and we were treated to meet Linda and Jim whom our dog Hazel both liked! After a brief hello and cozy chitchat we started our stroll through a slice of nature heaven. There is so much to see, smell and just lose yourself to the tranquillity and peace of this place. Vibrate flowers, bird houses galore, a gazebo, and so many little details will just recenter you. This was such a treat! A full tour of the grounds takes 20 minutes... if you slow down and let nature come to you... easily 45 minutes whisk by. In the future we plan on taking part in the tea ceremony on Tuesday's so yet another reason to come back! Thank you for letting us visit.

Covid brought hordes of people many disrespecting nature. Ok I get it. You can't go on your cruise. But what I found today devastated me. Yes they took down infested trees a few years ago and left them EVERYWHERE. Yes are familiar path and beach were blocked now. Ok. But when I drove to our campsite today I cried like a baby. I was in shock. The amount of trees that had been cut in the entire campground was shocking. Not a few, not 50% - more. Although I am grateful for our time there and our memories that will never be forsaken - I am sorry new campers will never know it former beauty. Maybe you can see the lake now. May be that was the point. But our slice of paradise is gone.

We found so many birds - woke up to a singing Bullock's oriole; Pied-billed grebes and Wood ducks were calling and setting up their nests; an osprey, kingfishers, and herons were regular visitors. They have friendly dogs; Buster will join you and lead you on a walk around the pond if you'd like. :) Highly recommended!
