Had a great stay here - when we needed to change our reservation due to a family situation, there was no charge and no hassle. Great pool, dog park, tennis courts and live music on the Friday we were there. My husband especially liked the spots - he felt whoever designed the park knew what they were doing as it was easy to get in and out of. We'd never stayed in Grass Valley but found a lot to do there so we'll be back and we'll stay here! read more

Every site is FHU. The bathrooms and showers were heated and very clean. The lodge is a great spot to hang out, socialize and play board games. There is live music on Friday and Saturday nights at the lodge. All sites are concrete pads and fairly level.The sites are nicely spaced out and not right next to each other. There is a heated pool and hot tub year round and there are multiple fire pits around the pool deck. Plenty of nicely paved roads for kids to bike on inside the park. The camp store just opened and is fully stocked w/ beer, wine and food items. The staff is very friendly and great to talk with. The dog park areas were nice and large with a big dog wash area near the dog park. We will definitely be coming back and recommend GVRV Resort to others. read more

We've stayed at least 4 times since their grand opening. There is a lot of potential. It's a nice, clean, centrally located park with good amenities. We won't be going back because the management is allowing and catering to long term/permanent residents. It's starting to look and feel more like a trailer park instead of a RV resort. read more

We go RVing on a regular basis. We have camped at most sites in Northern California. To come here is an easy drive but we are very reluctant to stay here. The amenities may make it like a resort, but the layout of the campground site spacing is lacking. Do any of the owners even RV? RVers don't want to set up so close to one another. Would it have hurt if there was 12-15' of space between RVs? RVers like putting a pop up shelter to have shade. Here you can't because of how close the sites are and the vegetation planted. Is the whole approach to the campground strictly from a monetary approach to maximize profit vs encouraging returning customers? The rules and fees are off the hook. Between the grounds keepers and the camp host it's a strict follow the rules or leave! Get rid of the camp host. She lives in her RV but her approach is questionable. Who charges $10 for visitors to come visit their fellow RVers or family? GVRV is who. When we came to visit for two hours our friends, we parked in an empty site next to them. I am a disabled veteran and our son is a special needs person. This was expressed after wanting to know why we parked there, but it didn't matter. We weren't bothering anyone and asked to move the truck regardless IF someone comes in. Well after we left, nobody had come into the site we parked our truck. Now our friends told us will not be returning either. read more

We came up for the Strawberry Festival and had the best experience staying at this RV park over the weekend. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Literally giving hugs when we left. The bathrooms were spotless! There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained (plus food trucks and mimosas), whether you're looking to relax or stay active. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well-run, and fun place to park their RV. I will be back! Thanks guys!! read more

Absolutely terrible if you're not a single person camping, I do not recommend coming to this location! Had reserved two RV parking spots for niece's birthday. Had some friends visit for the get together, they were upset and we had to pay for an additional RV spot just for our friends to visit and then an additional $60 on top of the extra RV spot to have our children be told while they were in the pool please be quiet and pretend like you are not here do not laugh or make too much noise because the new manager will get upset! We're told we had music playing at midnight when we were at a campfire doing s'mores no such, was told that our puppy was running up and down the street while someone was cursing at midnight no such thing! Never moved our vehicles while we were there and told that it strictly enforced 5 mph while there were people on motorbikes/cars including the actual manager going well over that all day long! Manager passed by our campsite over 30 times in the day to monitor what we were doing! We were very clean and respectful to the sites and pool, I still got told they were afraid we were going to retaliate with leaving filter and dirt what!!! we were told that all our children could stay, but we have to leave hun??? Definitely not a campsite more like a Boot Camp! New managers been there for 10 days and absolutely does not know how to run a business! Never going back!! read more

This place is great! My wife and I brought our travel trailer up to Grass Valley to enjoy the downtown for a couple of nights. We had seen this new RV park on Facebook and thought we'd give it a try. This facility has everything, is very clean and is in a beautiful setting. They have the best pool scene we've enjoyed in all of our years of RV'ing- huge gas fire pits, a giant hot tub and classic rock tunes piping through a great sound system. We met Bruce who is project managing the project until it's fully completed, and he's running the facility as well. Sounds like they have some great plans for some fun events in the future. Looking forward to coming back. read more

Beautiful new park right across from the fairgrounds with pool, pickleball courts and dog park

There were 17 of us in our travel trailers. Andrea, Danielle and Kim were very accommodating! We enjoyed the hot tub. We spent three afternoons in the lounge, enjoying playing games and having a potluck. Many of our group played pickle ball. The dog owners of our group enjoyed the dog park and were very appreciative of the fact that there is a dog wash! Others went bike, riding on local trails and hiking as well. It was an amazing experience and we will be back. read more

This was our first time at this campground. It is very nice and clean. The sites are a bit small leaving little room to park your vehicle. The pool area and store are great. However, beware of the red haired woman who works at the front desk. She is extremely rude and disrespectful to children and adults. She yelled at our children multiple times in a very rude and aggressive manner, instead of nicely telling them to wear helmets. This resort is not kid friendly soley because of this woman. Justin and the rest of the staff were friendly, helpful and had great customer service skills. I would give this place a 5/5 if it weren't for the red head at the front desk. read more

Do not give this place your business! They allow those who pay $20 more to "bump" you out of a space that you have reserved well in advance. This business practice is not good at all. The park was no where near being full, only 51 spaces reserved and they allowed someone to bump our spot for $20 more. Greedy! I will never be back! Change your business model because this one sucks! And stop allowing politics to run your park. Yup they allow people to fight over politics by flying political flags. Stay clear of this POS park! read more

This resort really takes glamping to the next level! Our family loves traveling in our sprinter van and I can only think of 2 other RV resorts that have amenities even close to this. The club house is stunning and the pool area is such a great place to cool off and let our kiddos play. We loved relaxing around the gas fire pits, and it was so nice to have a dog park to let our 2 little dogs get out and have a place to run around! Bonus that it's across the street from the Nevada County Fairgorunds. We will absolutely be back! read more

We are here in our rv June, 2025 and the park is only 10 months old. It is beautiful. It has paved streets and concrete level pads with plenty of room between sites, a really nice swimming pool, and the largest spa I've ever seen. You could actually swim in it!! Excellent Internet and we only use our antenna for tv, and it was OK. Spotless showers and laundry room. We are making this a place we return to several times a year. Gorgeous. It's also a non-smoking park, the first I've ever been to. Now I know that will be hard to enforce, but if you have some neighbor who is a particularly offensive smoker and it blows directly into your window, you have documentation to make him/her stop. read more

This is going to be an amazing RV park once the trees and flora mature a bit. Prices are in line with California RV Resorts. All of the amenities are 1st rate and the staff are efficient and friendly. Good size sites. An hour's drive from Roseville makes this a convenient spot to overnight when visiting Grass Valley and/or Nevada City. The Nevada County golf course is nearby as well. read more

If you're looking for a free lunch, or If you don't want to pay for where you stay, you can always go into the national forest and camp somewhere for free. recently while visiting friends in grass valley,I stayed at this resort for 7 nights....the resort was EXTREMELY clean,staffed by nice people and picturesque with tall trees and a heavenly pine smell.the amenity center includes a gorgeous swimming pool,plus gas fire pits which is the perfect cap to a wonderful day poolside......fortunately,the streets are wide,with a sensible layout so no issue getting in or out with my 45 foot motorhome....i can't wait to visit Grass Valley Resort again next summer....the small town of grass valley is charming with much to do and see...the restaurant scene there is also top notch,and we visited several lakes nearby,plus old gold mines.....thank you Grass Valley RV Resort for complimenting my very nice stay...Joe B.... read more

Just stayed there this weekend and this place is really nice. Very clean and the staff is awesome! Sent my daughter up Friday afternoon to get a pickle ball ball and they gave her a complete set of 4 paddles and 4 balls to use until we checked out on Sunday. Really appreciated not having to bring them back every time we were done playing a game. Pool/jacuzzi area is awesome with all the patio furniture and 3 propane firepits at the touch of a button. There isn't a bad site anywhere in the resort that I saw. They did an excellent job designing and building this resort. We liked it so much we booked our next stay before we left for us and a site for friends. We camp a lot and this is by far the cleanest, nicest and friendliest RV campground/resort we have been to! read more
