It would be a bit inconvenient staying here if you were not attending whatever event is going on as you need to drive across the entire parking lot to get to the RV area and also leaving mid morning wouldn't be a lot of fun exiting with a full lot of cars.. however, arrive the night before the event, and in our case, we left at 630 am to get to our game location off site when it was nice and quiet. Still cockroaches when you open the cement top to the sewer hook ups, but we were prepared this time with spray and then no issues. Also know there are no restrooms or showers, so you are 100% self contained.

The ladies camping group I belong to hosted an event here. This was my first time attending the…read moreevent. I heard the event was fun and that the campground was really nice. -This place has been under new ownership since May of 2026- I came here a couple of days earlier than when the actual event was to take place. When I pulled into the general area when you check-in I loved how welcoming it looked! First the trees were amazing that was were in the background! Then the place in front was fully decorated with Halloween themed decor! So adorable and welcoming especially for families with little ones. How excited they would be to see this! I know that I was! I went into the check-in area. It is also the gift shop/convenience store. No ICE is available at the store, but there is some ice cream bars!!!! They do have other necessities. And don't fret if they don't. Stores are nearby to get what you need. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I proceeded to my site #7 to set up. I have a tiny teardrop so the spot I had was doable. They are good to matching up your trailer size to the size of site you may need. I did have to unhitch to keep my vehicle from sticking out into the road. Which was fine since I knew I would be going out and about. I was given a choice to park my vehicle across the way or fit it in with my trailer. I chose to have it on my site for convenience to access things I needed. The campground is kept up well and so were the other areas I visited. The bathroom/showers closest to me, laundry room (1dryer and 1 washer). The pool area, which I did not get to utilize. The outdoor theater was always kept neat and orderly with the chairs. I didn't get to watch a movie, too busy with group activities. When I was told that there was an outdoor shower, I knew that I was going to be using that! Even though the shower next door to it was beautiful with pretty tiles and very clean and roomy I opted to look at the trees shadows in the dark with the stars in the background. The staff were frequently seen driving the premises and cleaning the restrooms in my area. I also saw a staff approach a group of teenage kids letting them know it was quiet time. Staff were on top of everything even removing trash from the trash can bins often. I had the chance to meet the owner, Monica and some staff since they took part in our trailer decoration contest (I placed 3rd even though I mentioned to the hostess I'm only decorating for fun not for the contest!) I love this campground so much to do on site and out in town! Oh, I forgot to mention they have a train museum next door! With train rides! Look it up. Monica is striving to keep the campground clean, safe and fun for those that visit. I'm already booked for next year, I can't wait! Kudos to the wonderful staff who have been so kind and patient with our group!

There are so many lakes and river access points near by. The community kitchen is clean and equipped. Already looking forward to next year. The rooms are comfortable and the fan is a must.
