SUPER SICK!!! If you're ever in the Truckee/Tahoe area whether you're visiting the lake or if you're a local, go to these guys. They're super nice and fun people to be around, always cracking jokes with you and making the experience something you'll never forget. If it's your first jump, GET THE PHOTO/VIDEO PACKAGE. They do a great job at filming the whole thing for you, and they turn it into a little edited movie for you at the end. Whenever I go again, it'll 100% be with the guys/gals at Skydive Truckee Tahoe.

As a professional skydiver I have been around the country jumping in all sorts of places, Tahoe is an incredible location, stunning visuals and that lovely mountain environment! The staff at this location as literally some of the best jumpers I've ever known or had the pleasure of working with! Mike, Steve, and Mikey are pleasant and professional as well as STOKED on life and jumping. Do you want to experience a skydive with some of the most stunning visuals and the strongest and most talented jumpers in the US?! You can fly high above views of Lake Tahoe here in safety :) I was able to jump with my friends and receive a completely family style operation that is full of passion and care, THANK YOU MIKE!! I was just visiting in the area and he made a distinct point of helping me get into the air. Come to Truckee and make a jump with these top notch pros like I did and make a great set of memories!

Absolutely amazing time, everything felt super safe and the staff is incredible and talented. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

One of the most beautiful DZ's in the world, with a world class staff. Thank you guys so much for hospitality. Checked a life box jumping over my hometown! Jen, Jules, and Mike.... you guys rock!

100% an experience you won't regret! I am so glad that I chose to jump here. First of all, Jules was an absolute sweetheart on the phone when trying to schedule a jump. It made me that much more excited to show up and meet her and the rest of the crew in person. From the moment I got there, I was greeted with a big smile and a warm welcome from everybody. If that isn't comforting for someone about to jump out of a plane, then I don't know what is. Even the fun jumpers that I got the chance to meet and jump with were AWESOME (Alex and Kip)! I was for sure entertained the entire time. By the time I got there and left, three hours had flown by. Time flies when you are having fun. Thanks to Mark for being my tandem instructor! He keeps you engaged the entire time with his great energy and sense of humor. Wish I had gotten the names of all of the other beautiful people that I got to meet, but that does not make them any less amazing. Thanks to the pilot too for bringing us up. :)) Overall 10 out of 10!

Absolutely the most amazing experience I've ever had. I am one of those casual adventure guys who has tried bungee jumping, whitewater rafting/kayaking, mountain biking, cliff jumping, parasailing, snowboarding, caving, rock climbing and rappelling, etc..... this was by far the best experience of my life. I love and admire so many Red Bull or adventure athletes, and for a day, I got to pretend I was on their level. literally a kid in a candy store! And to jump with a company started by Mike Swanson and his wife and family was an absolute nerd out moment for me. If you are considering taking the jump, you HAVE TO GO FOR IT!! You will not regret it. All the staff was absolutely amazing! Oh, and views from the plane and fall were spectacular. I loved it soooo much, I'm already going again a second time within a week!! I've had a rough last few years, but skydiving is just the treatment I need. my only complaint, is that now I am addicted!! Thank you all for the most amazing experience of my life, and can't wait to make many more memories with you all!!

They make it a really fun day. There are a few caveats to consider before you go: 1. The liability waiver is nuts. There's no insurance and you cannot sue for injury. If you do sue, you have to pay THEIR legal bills! 2. The plane is tiny, like a flying tunafish can. Room only for two jumps, their instructors and a pilot, squeezed in. 3. The views of Lake Tahoe from the plane are awesome, but since it's in Minden, you're mostly seeing mountains and valleys (still gorgeous) while falling. 4. Since Minden is at 4,700 feet, the freefall is shorter than if you did a jump starting at sea level. Also, the landing is faster because the air is thinner than at sea level. 5. The video / photo package is worth it. The photos were so/so (shot with a GoProp and they distort faces and bodies) but the video is an amazing memory!! 6. No bathroom....just a porto potty. Ladies, go before you go. Again, five stars. Just be aware of what to expect.

What a bunch of fun. Andy is a skilled and personable pilot. I had signed up for aerobatics and although slightly apprehensive, I was committed to "sticking to the plan". The pilot made it easy, comfortable and excitingly memorable. We did multiple, giant loop de loops and barrel rolls along with other maneuver that I can't name. We did a two day south fork trip, with a stop for the night on the river bank. Our guide Cryin' Bryan(just kidding Brian!!) and bonus gear guy Gator, were absolutely amazing. The were kind, helpful, had the best stories and cooked the best food. We did 21 miles of river over two days and it was unbelievable. Things we learned on this trip... -Gator taught me how to make a camping mocha(more like chocolate coffee when I made it!) with instant cocoa mix, coffee, creamer and water. -A tortilla wrap with PB&J and trail mix is the thing of dreams. -The front right seat of the raft is the 'hot' seat(or wet seat) and you will get hammered repeatedly. Haha. -Camping on the side of the river is magic. Pure. Magic. -Hospital bar has its name for a reason. -Composting toilets in the woods smell like a gerbil cage. -Brian's love of Star Wars and pineapple fried rice lead me to believe we could be real life friends. -You can make lifelong friends out of strangers you meet on a rafting trip. The meals they provided were amazing. Well beyond normal camping fare. For sure a perk with the trip. With things like chicken salad pitas, pancakes, sandwich wraps and fajitas, we were never hungry. We upgraded to the canvas tent they have at the campground for the first night and it was wonderful. The little front porch and getting to hear the river while we slept was magic. The newly upgraded bathrooms were probably the nicest I've seen at a rustic camp ground. The shower stalls are outside, but each one has a locking door with the shower stall and a little changing area with hooks and a bench(and the rain shower heads were great, but know the water pressure isn't the hardest, but not the worst either). When the 'Boss Man' picked us up from the river on the last day, it was really neat to get to chat with him. He asked for anything we think would add to the trip, and the only thing we can think of would be to bring along a yard game for the overnight trips, like ladder-ball or something for on the river. But there is absolutely nothing we would change. Enjoy my million pictures. I really couldn't pick and choose what to show, so I showed it all! We can't wait to go back!!

I did get cancelled on a few times, I was at first annoyed, instant gratification junky, but then realized they have no control over the weather AND safety comes first. That earned my respect right there. We met at the site at 6 am, not 6:01 or 6:12, 6am or before. Temperature plays a huge role in height and duration of flight. On time and safety are expected and delivered. At 6 sharp the ride started with tip over training, safety, and a brief roll call and waiver check and explanation. Important stuff! The balloon is beautiful and the pilots wife makes sure there are plenty of pics, she's super sweet and helpful. Takeoff is a bit disorienting, part helicopter, part jump. Once you hit the sky though, it's amazing. It is such a great feeling to float. Tim has a great sense of humor and can tell a story with gusto... between bursts of fire into the balloon. I have no idea how high we were but cows were hard to make out, they were that small. The morning couldn't have been more perfect. The landing was a bit bumpy, our training came in handy. Jarring like an old truck indoors a rough road, easy. As we waited for the truck to come and get us Tim gave us a wee history lesson on ballooning, with a champagne toast. I've been smiling all day. Independent and local, experienced and a perfect way to fly. Highly recommended is an understatement.

We the weather being so unpredictable we had to wait. I was fine with wait because i do value my life. I had the chance to cross off a major item from my bucket list. A hot air balloon ride and wow, what an experience! The views were absolutely breathtaking. Floating high above the landscape, seeing everything from a completely new perspective, was truly magical. The sunrise was especially beautiful as we drifted along, and the silence up there, broken only by the loud occasional burst of the burner, was unlike anything I've ever experienced. That said, there were a few things to consider. The heat from the burner can be overwhelming, especially if you're not prepared for it. I didn't wear a hat, and I really wish I had and i am short 5'2 those blasts of hot air can get pretty intense when they hit you directly! So, if you're planning this trip, definitely bring something to cover your head. The landing was a bit of a wild ride, too. The ground was much harder and more uneven than I expected, and we didn't quite know where we'd land until we were almost on top of it. Also getting in and out can be extremely challenging. It's hard climbing into and out of the basket and it's very tightly packed. Not a lot of space to move. I knew the risks going in but the whole experience was so worth it. Even with those little surprises, it was absolutely incredible. Would I do it again? Definitely not! Despite the heat and the bumpy landing, the beauty of the experience makes it all worthwhile and a one timer for me. I highly recommend it if you're looking for something unique and unforgettable to add to your list of adventures. Just don't forget your hat!
