14 minutes ago Outstanding experience. Haven't ridden a snow machine in 20 years, but these guys made a great trip for us despite sparse snow at lower elevations. We wanted a 4-hour exploration on and off trail but no prior experience here. Shawn found a buddy, Josh, to join us as a coach on technique and local trail knowledge. Josh did a great job, especially helpful digging this 68 year old out when I augured in a few times. The $6,000 upfront deposit charged on my credit card was intimidating, but also understandable considering their risks of machine damage. Within an hour after we returned the snowmobiles intact, they reversed the deposit charge. Great rental suits, boots etc. and machines are kept in tip-top condition. What an amazing experience on the snowmobiles. It was super easy to book, Shawn booked us for the next day. When we arrived with my Wife and our 2 kiddos, 6 and 3. Shawn gave us a full explanation about the snowmobiles, showed us around and made sure we were comfortable and safe. For 2hrs we had a blast. We were by ourselves exploring the property. A few months ago I wanted to ride a smaller and lighter bike then the one I have. He had several different options, with some discussion we came to conclude that the kx100 would be best to try out. I can say the whole time I was smiling out in prosser. He's got a "colorful way" of explaining things, but I feel like that's because most people do not realize the risk that they are putting into riding these machines. I did break the fork rock guard, which understanding their liability waivers and rental agreements I did end up paying for. Completely fair, and had such an epic time. Where to begin with our ATV experience with this company? I will not be able to do it justice, I am sure. If you don't have the patience to read this review let me sum up the bottom line: run away from this company! Do not rent from them. Horribly maintained vehicles, outrage deposits, expensive rentals, horrible customer service. We prefer to support small businesses, but this is not a good one. We have rented ATVs several times before from other companies, so we are not new to this. Never experienced anything like this before. It started the morning with Shaun meeting us with a F@*k You shirt on that perfectly illustrates his customer service philosophy, we could have overlooked the shirt but the bad attitude was harder to overlook. We originally had 8 people but only 6 of us were able to go. He would not let us downsize one of the ATV's because we had reserved two 4 seaters. He claimed they were already set up and ready to go. Fine, we understood that. Complete rental was over $1200 plus $7000 in security deposit, more than we have ever paid for an ATV outing. You would think given the amount we were paying we would at least get some basic courtesy but he was so belligerent and crude. He pretty much tells us that the belts are going to break on us and that we would be responsible for fixing them ourselves out in the middle of nowhere. He suggests we look up a YouTube video on how to do it because he is not going to come rescue us if we get stuck. Are you serious?!? This should have been a red flag about how well these things are maintained. In addition, the entire time he is calling us f@*kin' idiots and talking down to us. Those ATV's he told us he had prepared for us so he could not switch out had no gas in them. We had to wait for him to add some, so much for set up and ready to go. He also provided no help with putting them on the trailer nor hooking the trailer up nor did he check that everything was secure. The first hour or so of our rental time was spent dealing with all of this and just getting them to the trail. Before leaving he warns us not bring back the ATV's back muddy, that we need to wash them before returning them because he is not cleaning them up. You have got to be kidding!?! We drove for 36 miles total on trails the entire time and not driving hard. Sure enough, belt broke and we spent another rental hour looking at YouTube videos (we thankfully had cell service) and replacing the belt. This is not something we were qualified to do and should not have been expected to take care of but we did and managed to get going again. By the time we finished we had had enough of this misadventure so we returned them. Now we are getting threatening and erratic texts from Shaun in the middle of the night about how we broke the ATVs and need to pay for repairs. The amount he wants for repairs keeps escalating, now wanting $3500 for a new belt that costs $75. From the start this guy was just setting us up for a bad situation and looking for an excuse to try to keep our deposit. We should have walked away from the beginning. Don't make the same mistake we did. This guy is just trying to con people out of their hefty deposits with poorly maintained vehicles and even poorer customer service. Had an absolute blast with Adrenaline Connection. We originally were in town looking to rent mountain bikes, but when that fell through we had to find something to do instead. We called a few ATV rental or buggy rental places in Truckee and Lake Tahoe and had a hard time getting a hold of someone. When we called Adrenaline Connection, they were super prompt, informative and were able to quickly turn around a rented buggy for us for that afternoon, saving our day. It's not like one of those boring tours you go on where you are limited by the guide and there are a ton of restrictions. They let you have fun, take you up to the trails and let you loose to do what you please. The guys who run it are super helpful, awesome guys who get excited at you having fun and want to make sure you have a great experience. Definitely would consider them the best ATV or buggy rental place in Truckee and Lake Tahoe. read more

Booked our trip the last minute the night before and man was this place awesome we were a big family group of 10 people so we needed three 4 seater side-by-side's of course I was losing faith that this would be able to happen since I called a few other locations and they were all Completely booked I spoke to the dude with the English accent oh man was he great I was having trouble deciding how many cars with how many seats we needed to book he made it really easy he suggested we get the three with four Seats and that he was available for us to come out Saturday between 12 and four it was definitely the highlight of our trip my family I was so excited we haven't stopped talking about how much fun we've had.Rachel was great she took our payment made it easy such good people good vibes I don't understand how they even have any bad reviews we absolutely loved the service and the equipment everything about this business was great it was exactly what I thought and was hoping it would be they made it real easy to enjoy our time told us where to go and how to get to the cool riding trails and we did exactly what he told us we found everything we were looking for the equipment worked great absolutely no hiccups everything was in good working order he made sure we were safe gave us a safety briefing on everything made sure we had the right equipment definitely will recommend this place to anyone who asks what there is to do if you go to Lake Tahoe this place is awesome! Wow! Check this out. I call Adrenaline Connection to rent some ATV's. I had some questions because I wanted to know if I could rent an ATV for myself and my son. He is 10 and has never ridden an ATV before. I wanted to know if I could rent one for him, and whether or not he was allowed to drive one of their rentals, what size he would need, etc. The first time I called it went to the voicemail. Which was long and ended with a very fast description of what was need to rent atv's (Your name, date, age, how many atv's, dates, etc.) When I was half way through the description of what was necessary, I got a pencil to write everything down, but I didn't get all the requirements. So, I decide to call again to get everything written down from the voicemail so I could do what the voicemail asked me to do. However, this time somebody answers. A man. He says in a angry tone, " You just called right? "Yes, I just wanted to get some information for rentals for me and my son." I say. "Did you listen to the message," the dude says condescendingly. "Yeah" "The whole thing right? "Yeah,?" "Strike one," the guy says. "Do you need a trailor?" The guy says. "Uh what? I tell him I'm not giving him my business and that his customer service skills were lacking and the he hung up. WTF was that! Customer service skills be lacking in this dude. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD They attempted to keep my deposit of $2700 I was offered these options: #1) Keep the $2700 credit with us which can be used anytime before April 15, 2018 for the full amount. #2) Keep the $2700 credit with us that can be used anytime between April 15, 2018 and April 15, 2019 at 50% ($1350 value) #3) We refund the credit minus 25% for costs accrued. The dates were incorrect on the offer to get scammed out of my $2,700. I spent several months disputing charge ultimately I was refunded my money by the merchant's credit card processing service. The owner's wife stated they had over $50,000 in charge disputes the year prior so you make your own conclusion. Good luck should you allow them to charge your credit card in advance. Yes Shaun is unprofessional and uses profanity throughout a conversation. Furthermore Shawn and his employees were drinking beer and smoking marijuana, Shaun even offered me a beer when the usage contract clearly states "no alcohol consumption. I'm sure Shaun will provide a response disclaiming this review. Should he do that I will post a copy of the credit card claim dispute in my favor. (I will need to redact certain information) Also I'm inclined to believe the 5 star reviews are associates of Shaun due to the fact anyone can post a review. After much research we found that a belt should be changed every 50 hours, when we pulled out the broken belt from the hot engine it was shredded. By the time we finished we had had enough of this misadventure so we returned them. Now we are getting texts from Shaun about how we broke the ATV, bent the drive shaft and caused a bunch of damage because we didn't call him to come change change the belt. If you remember, he told us not to call him. So, literally what we're seeing is pulling up, him telling us this part is about to break, we pay him for the rental, we drive off, the part breaks as expected (through totally normal, minimal ATV use), we repair this guy's vehicle, and we're being charged $3000 for the replacement parts and labor. When we disputed the that we didn't break the belt, it was because it wasn't properly maintained, he then started threatening me. He told me to sleep with one eye opened and was sending drunk text messages in the night and sent many insults. From the start this guy was just setting us up for a bad situation and looking for an excuse to try to keep our rather insane deposit which was $3500 per ATV. We should have walked away from the beginning. Don't make the same mistake we did. This guy is just trying to con people out of their hefty deposits with poorly maintained vehicles and even poorer customer service. 8 of us went up to Truckee for the weekend and had a blast with Shawn's tracked buggies and snowmobiles. We had very little experience going into the adventure, but Shawn spent time to educate us on both how the equipment functioned and how we should approach riding. We were initially cautious, but with Shawn's help and guidance we got comfortable with the toys and wore ourselves out riding all around the snow in Donner Summit. I had a great experience from beginning to end, as Shawn worked closely with me from the initial call all the way to returning our deposits. My friends and I are looking forward to renting more of his gear for some summer excursions later this year! read more

First class operation and awesome experience. We were two groups of fathers and sons (ages 6 to 15) and Sean set us up with two sweet Polaris RZRs. All equipment is provided, thorough walk through of equipment and "real talk" of what to expect & avoid. We pulled up to the trails, parked and loaded up. Four hours, 38 miles and a few pit stops later we were back. AMAZING TIME. Nature at its finest, some mud, a whole lot of dust and old fashioned 4WD fun. Highly, highly recommend. Be aware: - there's a map, but honestly you have to pay attention or you'll get lost - the other Dad in our group has a lot of experience with trails and took picks along the way (phone maps out the locations over a map-lifesaver) - dust, lots of dust. Dress accordingly you will need to two shower multiple times - some sketchy risky parts...drive smart - there will be fallen trees that will make your change course Again, Sean is awesome and we highly recommend. read more

Sincere warning, DO NOT USE AdrenalineConnection. I should have listened to my inner voice the second we arrived. Run away, leave, dangerous, don't do business with this company. Unprofessional. Shawn, during the safety check, used the " F" word as often as most of us say "and or the." Rude and offensive. After this dramatic, lecture, as a seasoned ATV owner, I asked for a trail map, "don't have one" was Shawn's response. Commenting we were tourists to the area and questioning landmarks on the trails, Shawn told me to "drop a pin if I was worried about getting lost." I read the two page check list. Shawn said it was necessary because people have tried to "screw" him so many times. If I had been aware of the trail conditions (or lack of true trails), no trail map, and trail markings I would have not signed. I signed, even though the form was unusually long. We had driven an hour to get here. We are Razor owners, renters often while on vacation, and family waiting, we signed. Also, our reservation was made the day before the trip. We were told that since they have a six day cancellation policy we were committed, total charge over $ 900.00 too much money to throw away. The trails were unmarked and ungroomed. The ability to make this ride without some kind of normal wear and tear on a vehicle would be hard to imagine. About 30 minutes into the trip we returned to the base operation to ask about trails and get some guidance. The only person there was a mechanic, nice guy. He said he was new and did not know anything about the trail locations. He called Shawn, no help there. Our family who is very respectful of property and not at all careless, is being cheated with a $ 413.00 repair bill for a belt replacement. The vehicles were not driven hard, in fact not hard at all because the trails were so bad. If AdrenalineConnection is selling ATV adventures is there at least an implied expectation of trails. Shawn even encouraged us to go off trails for a better time, we did not. We have tried calls and emails and have been given no help in trying to honestly resolve this issue. Shawn's last arrogant correspondence, "We look forward to your 1 star reviews and wish you all the best. " Well Shawn, hope I met your exceptions for a bad review because you sure did not meet mine of a day with my family. From the moment we arrived he was welcoming and informative about everything we needed to know about our reserved UTV and the area we would be using the UTV in. He also loaned us some extra snow gear since we didn't have everything we needed. This place will take you on a real snowmobile adventure. Our guide was very nice and patient with our experience in snowmobiling. He took the time to teach us how to maneuver around different adversities we encountered through out the mountains. We've caused the snowmobile to tip over on it's side and he wouldn't have a problem with it at all. He was very helpful and taught my friend's and I a lot about real snowmobiling. The equipment we rented broke on the trail. Owner Shawn accused us of misuse ( belt broke under normal and proper operation). We were riding for one hour and he charged full $450 and $375 on the top of this threatening to add charge of $1000 for towing. He gave us a ride out of the mountains on the snowmobile but then told us we should have walked. Who does that? Nasty texts to follow from him. He worked on this machine just before we rented and told me it was a new belt he had just installed. We never left trail and told him that we did not even push this equipment ( 52 and 58 yr old guys ). Be aware that they make You sign 3 pages of exceptions and then use those against almost $3000 deposit. Bad company, greedy owner and badly maintained equipment. read more

They were constantly watching out for my wife, my kids (riding in front), and myself. When we had any issues, they were there immediately there to help out. The sleds were amazing (powerful, very well maintained) and simply a blast. Sean made sure the areas we stopped were appropriate for our skill levels.
