Expansive and so much to do!

What a fun spot! This was our first time visiting and we will be back. When booking, you have to book a timeslot but be prepared to arrive 20 minutes before that timeslot. We choose 10:30am. It was not crowded yet. When we arrived it was easy to find the location, park, look for the bright awnings. Sign your waiver online for faster process. The access pass gives you full access to quarry. That's ziplines, rock wall, obstacle courses- the works. A few tips: 1. We purchased a guide. That was SO worth it. My kids didn't want to do the same thing so having the reassurance of a guide was helpful. 2. Leo (Alex) our guide was the BEST! Huge shoutout. 3. Bring spf. The quarry has little shade and you are basically in the sun the full time. Apply apply apply! 4. Dress comfortable. We purchased the kids cove for my little one and he had a blast. It does get crowded. There's also little shade so put on sunblock. Also wear close toed shoes, something fitting. Because it's a ropes course feet get stuck. I watched several kids lose shoes because they would slip right off. I'm not a fan of ziplines and this one was actually fun. A lot to look at- smooth transition. Great guides who teach out in "sky school". They have coolers with water so stay hydrated. I recommend going early in the morning, it can get 10 degrees hotter in the quarry so be prepared. I saw a lot of birthday tables. So I can tell this would be a great spot for a birthday. Love this place! What a find. Highly recommend for kids of all ages.

We came here for a child's birthday party. The kids played in the huge play area and the maze. They had a table set up for the birthday party and it was under a shaded canopy. The kids had a blast playing in the Kids Kove, where they can climb and do zip lining. The kids also received Quarry Park party favors, which included a souvenir cup, rocks, stickers, and other items.

4 stars **** I've been here a bunch of times, maybe at least 4 or 5. I've purchased tickets with my kiddos usiing school funds, got great deals on Black Friday, and paid full price as well. Coming here with family and also with friends & their kids is fun. One thing is for sure, if you like adventure, daring heights, but also like being safe, you will have a great time here. Regarding the obstacles, there are easy, medium, and hard obstacles. I've tried all of the obstacles, at different times of the day, but suggest signing up online as early in the day as possible due to traffic & heat. I don't have much complaints about the obstacles, except the very last time I went on the medium course in December 2024, the "key" part that pushes into the hold that releases the other part so you can move on, came off and fell 60 feet to the ground below after I moved on. So, I don't know how the people continued on the obstacle after I left. Can you imagine being that high, even say on the Via Ferrata (iron wall) and you are trying to yell for help and no one can hear you? Another small thing, is there isn't consistently people to help us go on certain courses, the Via Ferrata in particular. The last two times I've been here we've had to wait for a little bit for a helper to allow us to get approval to climb. We only have 2 hours to actually climb and soar after we are taught how to work all the gear. It would be nice to have help right away. The starting area, which is the long zipline that crosses the length of the water and lands on the start of the obstacles, is fun but also not as scary as it looks. I've done all the obstacles, and about 75% of the Via Ferrata aka iron wall. My favorite one for sure is the Via Ferrata. Pro tip: Use hiking boots. This last time I went in December and due to the muddy ground, the metal rungs were a bit slippery causing me to panic on a few climbs. Come with layered clothing, snacks in the hip pack, sunscreen and gloves especially if youre going on the Via Ferrata. You don't need to bring your own water because there's bottled water in various areas in the park in coolers available for you. They also sell snacks at the check in area. The free fall is something I haven't done mostly because it looks kinda boring. But, my kids have done that and they had to wait a bit to get on it due to lack of helpers. We usually do the Granite Adventure. Regular price is $80 per person, which is a 2-hour total experience (30-minute Gear Up & Orientation + 2 hours of Adventure). It includes access to all six activities located within/atop the quarry. Guests are typically able to complete two or three of these offerings when visiting on a Granite Adventure Ticket. Must weigh 45 to 250 pounds for this ticket type. Kids age 11 and under require a Supervising Companion (age 14+). Other adventures are a 4 hour Gold Adventure ticket, a pick 3, a rock climbing only, KidzLove for ages 3-13 (looks super fun for the lil ones) & paddle boarding. If I recall correctly they also have a few special events during the year like Halloween night climbs too. I'd love to do that with my spouse one day if I feel especially daring. I suggest going in the morning, it gets hot no matter what time of year you go due to all the physical activity. I suggest Quarry Park for beginner thrill seekers. It's great for singles, but highly suggest for families, couples, dates, best friend outings, double dates, team building, etc. Great for fun adventures on holidays so kids can get outta the house and fun day trip for out of town guests too.

Pretty easy to locate. It is right by the main road. Once inside there is lots of parking spaces and right next to it you will see the signboard for quarry park which leads you to the check in booth and the waiting/observation deck. All harnessing is done every 30 mins and done by batch. Their equipment look like they are kept well maintained. One of their staff will check and make sure it has been worn correctly. What we bought was the 3 pack where you do zip line, rapelling and free fall. My wife thinks the free fall is the scariest but it is a pretty slow descend. The park is pretty open so plan on coming when it is not too hot. Overall, good experience and nice location.

My kids test their safety boundaries on a daily basis but they had no safety issues here! Some of the clip transfers were difficult for my 10 year old - he also hates advice while frustrated - but he made it through many of the medium/hard courses with just a few pauses. It's a lot to learn the first time but I imagine going again will be much easier. The staff were all very clear and we didn't wait too long at any area. They have coolers of waters - the kids needed it! The whole place was clean and well kept. The lines all looked secure. Will probably go back.

Ziplines were so fun but I was too scared to do the freefall. Super fun and helpful employees. Kids play park was a hit.

We had such a great time here today. It wasn't hot, and we went between storms so it was dry and we had nice overcast skies. Coming between storms (I called for our 2 spots 45 minutes before since we were watching the weather) was great since hardly anyone else was there - we mostly had the quarry to ourselves. If you are close enough with some flexibility, doing this makes a two hour slot here more productive and you don't have to worry about the heat (inside the quarry it's warmer than up above + there is very little shade on blue sky days). We did the 2 hour Granite Adventure tickets. A 30 minute orientation and gear overview is before the two hours start session. We started on part two of Via Ferrata on the lower section as recommended by the guide. We then made it to the upper part of section three and finished on the bottom of section four. The last climb up on section four is a doozy for someone like me who's not used to climbing up,l to the end of it, with some water dripping on me - but it was a fun stretch of what I can do. This took just over an hour for us. After Via Ferrata we went to the zip line to get down to Aerial Adventure, and we did the medium/middle course there before I called it a day. My husband was able to squeeze in one trip down Free Fall. We had a good time and the staff was great. It was a great day out with some activity that challenged us in a positive way. We've brought our own gloves when we've done other courses in Lake Tahoe, but it slipped our minds today. I think that would be helpful next time and for anyone not dealing with climbing metal and using ropes regularly (or ask if they have some). Make sure to book online before, or call in for a spot. They do weigh you when you sign in, and they ask that you read and sign the waiver online. There are restrooms and lockers for your things if you need it.

Ask the Community - Quarry Park Adventures

Far fetched, can you bring alcohol?

🤣🤣🤣 good one. Pretty sure that their insurance would probably frown on people doing that.

Is there anything for my toddler and I to do while our older kids are doing activities?

There is a toddler kove which is like a children playground that the website says recommended for kida from 3-13 years old. But i think it's more suitable for kids under 6 or those who can't participate in the adventure courses.

What is the recommended age range to play in the toddler kove?

Their website says that toddler kove is recommended for 3-13 years old.

    Are there any food options?

Not at the park, but there's food in the surrounding area that you can bring back to QP. They have a selection of benches you can eat at.

Are gloves a must for All Access Entry? Masks are required during the activities?

Gloves are optional but there is a required glove fee online ($5). Masks are required but you may take them off if you're not close to anyone. Hope this helps!

Are there lockers to put belongings in? Like cell phone, keys, or glasses. Thanks!

    Yes

    Are dogs allowed?

Not inside the park but there is plenty of space outside of the park

    Is there a parking fee?

Nope parking is free and there is plenty of it!

The courses were challenging, but not too hard, and not too easy. Everything was kept up and clean. Looking around the course while we were playing I didn't notice any thing dilapidated or broken. It took us a little while to get through the course because of the kids, but it was very enjoyable amd we all had a great time. With it being early February and pretty cold out, alot of the outside attractions were closed. We came right after breakfast on a Sunday, so those could have been factors also. We decided to go inside and play in the arcade. Unfortunately alot of the games were out of order. There were some that we scanned our playcard and took the funds, but didn't start the game. We went to the counter and let them know and they kindly reloaded our cards. It happened a few times and honestly I think they were starting to think we were trying to scam them into recharging our cards. Either that, or we weren't swiping the card correctly. Neither of those were the case and we offered to show them which game it was each time, and offered to demonstrate with our card how it took the money and didn't start. They said that wasn't necessary, and a staff member would walk over with us so they could figure out what was going on and put a sign if necessary. The little photo booths are fun, but again, there are two and only one was working. All in all the facility was very clean and kept up. I noticed there were staff members constantly walking around picking up trash, and forgotten items from other guests. There were even a couple wiping down games and sanitizing them. I appreciate that cause well, you know...kids are gross including my own sometimes lol! Since we had just come from breakfast we didn't eat here, but the snack bar looked decent, expensive, but in a place like this that is to be expected. There were plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your snacks/food and if not being used they were clean. The restrooms were clean, there was a sewage like smell in the women's room, but it wasn't too overpowering. Not worth complaining about. All in all we had a good time here, spent quite a bit of money between the arcade and the mini golf, but the kids had fun so thats what matters most right?

We had 35 minutes of play in the space world and then moved over to 35 more minutes at the candy land. Then we moved on to the private party room for 50 minutes. The host would use a siren when it was time to move to the next room and to guide us over.  I'm thoroughly impressed with the way Wacky Tacky handles birthday parties. They clearly know what they're doing. The host took care of everything which took the stress away from me. She set up the room, put my favors and cupcakes out. She served pizza, cupcakes, and used gloves to serve! She even sanitized all the kids' hands before eating. I love how they take cleanliness and good hygiene very seriously. Plates, forks, napkins, cups, utensils, tablecloth, hand sanitizer, were all provided.  Food orders do have to be made in advance, but I was able to add juice boxes and soda while I was there. Pizza came delivered close to the time it was time to move into the party room and was kept in the heated bag, so the pizza was actually still hot when it was time to be served.  Wacky Tacky was highly recommended to me for birthday parties, and I can see why. Definitely recommend to host a birthday party here! It's very organized. They even played a personalized happy birthday song to my son which I thought added such a nice thoughtful touch.  My son loves going here for open play as well. We paid $500 for an all-inclusive birthday package, but from start to finish, the staff made it clear that they couldn't have cared less. The entire event was chaotic, uncoordinated, and stressful. There was no assigned party host, only a disengaged food server in the party room who offered little to no communication. I constantly had to track down staff to ask what was happening next and where we should be. When I arrived to set up, I was told I'd have 10-15 minutes to prepare the room. Instead, I had to repeatedly check in to see when it would be ready and was finally given just a few minutes to set everything up. During the party, the staff member assigned to our room showed no initiative or enthusiasm. He didn't communicate the schedule, didn't announce when food or activities were starting, and clearly had no idea who the birthday child was. He simply stood in the corner, quietly handing out pizza with no effort to coordinate or engage with the group. After pizza and cupcakes, we still had about 35 minutes left in our scheduled time. I was then told that too many guests had been allowed into Wacky Tacky, so the kids couldn't play afterward as promised. The children were disappointed and confused. I asked to speak with a manager, but no one ever came. I've since called multiple times to follow up, and not once has a manager called and spoken to me. Several of my guests mentioned they had attended other parties here before and had much better experiences, which only made this event more frustrating. Save your money and go elsewhere, Enchanted or literally any other venue would be a better choice. This was a disorganized, poorly managed experience, and we will not be returning

I visited with friends and we had a great time!…read more We checked in on the digital kiosks and then selected balaclava colors before waiting for our turn. At first I was confused why the wait time was so long when the space seemed almost empty, but we learned quickly that the more runs you do the better deal you get, and racing can be pricey. We opted for two rounds since we were new to it and didn't know how long it would take if we did more. Our first race took some time to be called for (about an hour), but we had much less downtime before our second one. While you wait there is an arcade area and a bar. One thing we noticed is that the staff in areas other than the racetrack are much less engaging- I think they must be bored from the lack of people interacting with them or working on things in other places. The bar was frequently unmanned and we learned that they don't offer tap water, only bottled. We also learned that while some packages come with food, if you don't time it correctly you may have to leave the food at the tables to head down to your race. It might be best to wait until after racing to order any food. While we didn't get food during the visit, we found it odd that a bunch of sliders and other food were just sitting around in the bar area unattended, getting cold. There's gotta be a better system. The team on the racetrack was engaged and nice. They made sure everyone was set up, strapped in, and that the races were organized and safe. I was TERRIBLE, but did get better my second round. Our group ended up having a lot of fun. Some things to note- they do put groups together and fill the extra spots with other racers so your group will be together but you may have different people in each heat (depending on how many rounds they bought and when they arrived). Riding with other groups means you may get bumped into and have people of VERY different skill levels. We definitely had some regulars in our group. When someone spins out or needs help all the karts stop so it can really interrupt the race, but I guess that's part of the experience. Overall it's a lot of fun but there's some room for improvement in their non-racing areas.

Although the Sky Ride was closed, the kids still had fun jumping and flipping on the Apex trampoline and running through the Warrior course. It was very packed and busy. I felt that this visit wasn't as great at my last; place seemed like it needs a deep clean and better ventilation because of the smell of sweat and chaos. I ordered nachos at the cafe, the nacho cheese sauce they used this time wasn't good so I wouldn't recommend ordering these again. Way too oily and slightly bitter. Even with attractions closed and food not what I expected, we still enjoyed ourselves and will come back when the "Tube Playground" is finally installed. We will skip the food at the cafe and just get refreshments. Hopefully our next visit will be great like previous visits!

I am beyond disgusted with my experience at Urban Air Adventure Park Sacramento…read more My 7 year old son went there to have fun, and instead left scared for his safety. A group of teenage boys approached him, called him "little N" multiple times, and tried to lure him by saying they had candy and telling him to come to them. Let that sink in. A child was racially harassed and made to feel like he was about to be kidnapped inside a place that is supposed to be safe for kids. He ran and told his godmother, who immediately reported it to management. And what did they do? Nothing meaningful. The teens were not removed. They were allowed to stay and continue occupying the same space as the children they just targeted. That is unacceptable. This is bigger than "kids being kids." This is racism and dangerous behavior being ignored. When a business allows that kind of environment to continue, they are part of the problem. My son is biracial but does not appear to be, and he was targeted without hesitation. No child should have to experience that kind of fear just to play. Urban Air failed to protect him. They failed to act. And they failed to create a safe environment. If you are a parent, especially a parent of Black children, you need to seriously consider whether this is a place where your child will actually be safe. Do better.

There were so many beautiful light displays and plenty of great photo opportunities. The lighting in the Santa area was a bit darker and very red-toned, but you can try to adjust by tweaking the warmth and tones when editing photos on your phone. They also had animatronic dragons that were really impressive, with sounds that made them feel even more lifelike. Ice skating and carnival rides were available as well, though those were an additional cost. Overall, it was a really fun and festive outing!

We've been to extravagant light shows, like Luminaria Lights at the Botanical Gardens in Southern Cali, so that was our comparison and we honestly weren't expecting much with Imaginarium. Really happy that we decided to give this a shot! It was held at the Cal Expo so parking is extremely generous. However, we went on a Thursday evening in early December to avoid the crowds and I, for one, absolutely appreciated not having any lines or difficulty going in and out of the parking lot. Hardly anyone was there on a Thursday evening on the first week of December but I can imagine it would've been annoyingly packed if we went during rush season closer to Christmas or weekends. Pretty hilarious how we initially thought the front entrance exhibits and cute little photoshoot setups were it, until we walked past some food vendors to be shocked and awed at the enormous amount of creative setups they had in the main staging area. There was even a little circus act for some entertainment! Enjoy your time with family, walk around to your leisure, and they even had lots of neat room setups to experience. The kids enjoyed the art exhibit the most where they could color in beautifully drawn artistry with chalk! Santa was available for photos towards the exit.m at no charge. Nice! Tipped him, of course, to care for his elves and reindeer. Biggest tip is to be aware of where the restrooms are in case any urgencies arise. We found them to be to the right of the main area once we passed the food vendors thanks to friendly staff and security personnel. Highly recommended for everyone around the Sacramento and Roseville area, near and far! Great for families, dates, solos, and friends. Security is tight since it's Cal Expo so it felt rather safe for our family. Lovely organized event and enjoyed a magical evening surrounded be a wonderment of lights and glamor! (Is wonderment even a word? I don't know, but if fits the bill for Imaginarium for sure)
