    So many poop
    Eni J.

This review is for the play ground park n the wood train area also the quarry park outside area. First of all this place has so many poop everywhere. I mean like every two steps u will see one or two poop. Duck walking around, I guess nice view with animal around but the poop is everywhere. The park itself is very nice place. If u go to the inside of the quarry park for the adventure they are probably clean. But the surrounding area outside is so dirty with lots of poop. I guess they can't control the ducks. Nice place but definitely could be better.

Here are with weight requirements. The minimum is 70lbs, for solo play. Some areas are really designed for older children ages 10 and up.

This park has a wonderful play area for an child that loves to climb and explore. The pros, beautiful setting. It's nestled next to a Park. I would recommend sun screen as there is little shade available. Also, as the sunsets the pond brought thousand of mosquitoes waiting to feast on their nearby victims. So bring long sleeves and citronella spray. The more challenging obstacle require a weight limit, which was disappointing because they don't post it prominently on their website, only by opening to purchase can one fine the very specific requirements. We discovered the requirements when we were paying admission it posted near the ticket booth. So unfortunately we were limited to the large climbing area for those under 70lbs.

Vintage country feel to the place!

Yesterday was my first visit here and I would say it's a pretty cool park with the zip lining near by, something I've had on my bucket list and the concert series they have. Why the less stars you ask? Well they only have an older kid playground and no swing set so my toddler could only play on the wooden play train when my man and I brought her and the wheel was loose. She had a blast on the train tho and it's a beautiful park with a vintage country feel to it! I would recommend coming to this park, they have a lot to offer and for older kiddos they have a lot of fun areas for them to check out or if you have a very young one like mine, they'll love the train! I know I'll be back maybe when she's a little older and for mommy to try zip lining there!

This venue officially launched October 13th, but I was able to preview it at a private corporate event on September 29th as one of the first big groups they were hosting. Sign a waiver online ahead of time or in person (one per household, but each attendee needs to sign). Entrance to the parking lot (free) located on Pacific Street, west of Quarry Park. We had the park just for our group exclusively from 8am-12pm (indicated by red wristbands to differentiate between us and the next group), and most attractions were available the whole time. The park was not setup to sell food yet but we were allowed small snacks/drinks that fit in backpacks -- no coolers, no alcohol. Close-toed shoes, no loose clothing/hair/jewelry. There was a brief "ground-school" class session to attend and go over rules and techniques, safety if you wanted to do the overhead aerial obstacles/ropes course, but other attractions like the ziplines, freefall, rappel, paddleboat and rock wall did not need that special instruction. Some weight/height restrictions -- minimum 70lbs/48" and maximum 250lbs/6'6". Helmets, harness for all. There is also a kids zone for the little ones. Personally, I was able to the giant ziplines twice, and the nearly-60-foot rock climbing wall (with auto-belay). The freefall and rappelling looked a bit scary. The horizontal wall walkways and swing were not yet open. The lake paddleboats closed before I could get in line. Long lines waiting for suiting/gearing up, and a half day was not long enough especially if you arrived late then total time cut short since the 12pm cutoff was strictly upheld. Staff was friendly. Port-a-potties and portable restrooms (walk-in trailer style) available at the time. Not sure what current pricing is, but I would go back in the future! Too bad they couldn't open in summertime as originally planned.

What a cool new park to have in our area. Quarry is the only adventure theme park I have ever seen or heard of and it is right here in Rocklin. You can enter the park from two different areas, we came in the back way by the Police Department. I believe the front entrance might be on Pacific St, but I am not sure. The park includes plenty of parking, walking areas, picnic tables and of course the adventure area. The staff was disorganized as they still hadn't worked the kinks out, but we ended up just buying the Zip Line pass with unlimited rides. The all adventure pass is around $40 which includes everything: paddle boats, kids cool playground, ropes course, rock wall climbing, rock wall trail, mini descent (like a bungie but no bouncing) and the large and small zip lines. The Large zip line lasts 10 seconds and is beginner level. None of us had zipped before and we were a little nervous but it was a breeze and after the first run were relaxed in going again. There is a small concession area with drinks, snow cones and hot dogs but no real food establishments. Overall this was a really fun trip and a great place to have a picnic and do something different.

Big Sam's Funky Nation concert held at Rocklin Amphitheatre. Nice and lush setting. Sacramento Element Brass Band opened for Big Sam. They're so talented. And Big Sam is talented, fun and memorable.

My family and I took a walk here after dinner. What a beautiful place to walk to and even have a picnic if you would like. Quarry park is located right in the heart of old town Rocklin, behind the police department. This park is quite large and a hidden Rocklin gem, I just discovered. They have a children's playground, a large wooden train to climb on to and an area for kids to play in the water features during those hot days. The park also has an outdoor amapatheater for concerts, plays/skits or family movie night, for an idea. Bring a blanket or low level lawn chair for your comfort. Also, there is a beautiful old quarry mine lake with waterfalls, walking trails and old mining equipment beautifully displayed throughout. Just don't venture off the trail or you might get poison oak or run into a rattle snake. YIKES!!! Otherwise, this a fabulous place to spend time with your family and friends.

Why is the park closed? Did something happen?

The adventure park is closed for the season due to the weather (despite the fact that it happened to be sunny all week).

The host would use a siren when it was time to move to the next room and to guide us over.  I'm thoroughly impressed with the way Wacky Tacky handles birthday parties. They clearly know what they're doing. The host took care of everything which took the stress away from me. She set up the room, put my favors and cupcakes out. She served pizza, cupcakes, and used gloves to serve! She even sanitized all the kids' hands before eating. I love how they take cleanliness and good hygiene very seriously. Plates, forks, napkins, cups, utensils, tablecloth, hand sanitizer, were all provided.  Food orders do have to be made in advance, but I was able to add juice boxes and soda while I was there. Pizza came delivered close to the time it was time to move into the party room and was kept in the heated bag, so the pizza was actually still hot when it was time to be served.  Wacky Tacky was highly recommended to me for birthday parties, and I can see why. Definitely recommend to host a birthday party here! It's very organized. They even played a personalized happy birthday song to my son which I thought added such a nice thoughtful touch.  My son loves going here for open play as well. We paid $500 for an all-inclusive birthday package, but from start to finish, the staff made it clear that they couldn't have cared less. The entire event was chaotic, uncoordinated, and stressful. There was no assigned party host, only a disengaged food server in the party room who offered little to no communication. I constantly had to track down staff to ask what was happening next and where we should be. When I arrived to set up, I was told I'd have 10-15 minutes to prepare the room. Instead, I had to repeatedly check in to see when it would be ready and was finally given just a few minutes to set everything up. During the party, the staff member assigned to our room showed no initiative or enthusiasm. He didn't communicate the schedule, didn't announce when food or activities were starting, and clearly had no idea who the birthday child was. He simply stood in the corner, quietly handing out pizza with no effort to coordinate or engage with the group. After pizza and cupcakes, we still had about 35 minutes left in our scheduled time. I was then told that too many guests had been allowed into Wacky Tacky, so the kids couldn't play afterward as promised. The children were disappointed and confused. I asked to speak with a manager, but no one ever came. I've since called multiple times to follow up, and not once has a manager called and spoken to me. Several of my guests mentioned they had attended other parties here before and had much better experiences, which only made this event more frustrating. Save your money and go elsewhere, Enchanted or literally any other venue would be a better choice. This was a disorganized, poorly managed experience, and we will not be returning

The courses were challenging, but not too hard, and not too easy. Everything was kept up and clean. Looking around the course while we were playing I didn't notice any thing dilapidated or broken. It took us a little while to get through the course because of the kids, but it was very enjoyable amd we all had a great time. With it being early February and pretty cold out, alot of the outside attractions were closed. We came right after breakfast on a Sunday, so those could have been factors also. We decided to go inside and play in the arcade. Unfortunately alot of the games were out of order. There were some that we scanned our playcard and took the funds, but didn't start the game. We went to the counter and let them know and they kindly reloaded our cards. It happened a few times and honestly I think they were starting to think we were trying to scam them into recharging our cards. Either that, or we weren't swiping the card correctly. Neither of those were the case and we offered to show them which game it was each time, and offered to demonstrate with our card how it took the money and didn't start. They said that wasn't necessary, and a staff member would walk over with us so they could figure out what was going on and put a sign if necessary. The little photo booths are fun, but again, there are two and only one was working. All in all the facility was very clean and kept up. I noticed there were staff members constantly walking around picking up trash, and forgotten items from other guests. There were even a couple wiping down games and sanitizing them. I appreciate that cause well, you know...kids are gross including my own sometimes lol! Since we had just come from breakfast we didn't eat here, but the snack bar looked decent, expensive, but in a place like this that is to be expected. There were plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your snacks/food and if not being used they were clean. The restrooms were clean, there was a sewage like smell in the women's room, but it wasn't too overpowering. Not worth complaining about. All in all we had a good time here, spent quite a bit of money between the arcade and the mini golf, but the kids had fun so thats what matters most right?

The hotel was the perfect combo of luxe, jungle living. Steps from the ocean, the property was exactly what I was hoping for. The pool was a nice touch and the open air restaurant on-site was fresh and delicious. Now for the surfing and yoga! I was a beginner at yoga at the time and Cris was an amazing instructor. I felt completely comfortable and excited to push myself to learn more. The open air yoga studio overlooking the ocean was so peace during each morning yoga sesh. So, even though I have lived in San Diego my whole life, I waited until my 30s and going to Costa Rica to learn to surf. Crazy! But I am glad I did, because the rolling waves in Costa Rica were so perfect to learn on. The small groups at Pura Vida coupled with the super experienced instructors really helped me feel like I was getting one-on-one attention. I was so proud of myself for pushing through my fear and riding waves in. By the end of the week, I was both refreshed (mind) and exhausted (body). With two small kids at home and a demanding job, Pura Vida was the perfect getaway to reenergize my mind and spirit. I also loved heading into town- such a quant place with good restaurants and fun people. We also zip-lined one day, which was so amazing - Starting at the top of the jungle canopy with the most amazing ocean view, and working our way down to the beach! When I got home, I bought a surf board and began surfing in San Diego. Or maybe you are already a fantasitc surfer, but don't feel comfortable travelling to Costa Rica by yourself for a surf vacation? If this is you, I HIGHLY suggest booking a trip with Pura Vida Adventures. An amazing woman and friend of mine, Tierza, started this business about 4 years ago, and I was part of the very first all girls camp.....and I can't possibly iterate how empowering, fun, beautiful and enriching my experience was....probably because of all the tequila I drank while I was there. My memory is a little foggy ;-) I fell so in love with the area, Malpias and Santa Teresa, that I now travel back on my own to enjoy the same beautiful coastline, waves, rainforests, and people (THE HOTTEST men I have EVER seen living in one tiny area in my life!!) Here's a great quote that a girl from my camp wrote at the end of our trip...I think she sums it up very well: "Start by imagining the perfect week: surfing, yoga, wonderful food, beautiful women, falling asleep to the sound of the waves every night - wake to the sounds of tropical birds in the morning. Maybe see the stars like you've never seen them before. Start telling time by the direction of the wind and the tides. Forget what day it is. How hard can you paddle? Drink? Laugh? Double that, and that's Pura Vida." Although the camp caters to all women groups, they do have some weeks throughout the season that are coed....so, if any guys are interested in this, check out the calendar on their website. www.puravidaadventures.com To get a discounted rate, pay 60 days in advance of your trip. NorCalWomensSurfClub members get an even bigger discount, and joining NCWSC is free and easy to do on their website. So, I highly recommend that for savings....and it's a great way to meet other female surfers. This is one of the most amazing times I have had travelling...and I try to travel as much as I can. It definitely took some months off my life, at least off of my liver, and I think there's a video of me riding a mechanical bull that I wouldn't want my parents to see floating around somewhere on the internet....but, so worth it. I made friendships that will last a lifetime....and it gave me the confidence to begin travelling solo.... Pura Vida

They do a very good job of organizing the day, with a lunch spread that is surprisingly edible. I loved being able to swim a bit in the river, and wish there was more time to do that. The rafting itself was fun, the class 3 rapids were exciting and our group managed to not fall out of the raft due to the expert navigation of our guide. I am looking forward to going back and experiencing some class 4 rapids.

My family of 3 booked a 2-day South Fork trip and it was absolutely fantastic. Alec, our guide, was…read moreinformative, professional, personable, friendly, and lots of fun. He had lots of knowledge about the California gold rush and it was nice to learn about it as an adult who didn't grow up in CA (I'm sure my 12yo loved learning about it too). While we camped at Earthtrek, it was super helpful that our trip included breakfast, 2 lunches (one lunch mid-rafting trip), and dinner. All meals were delicious and it was nice that there were gluten free options. The OARS site is spacious, with clean facilities, and a small shop for items. Now on to the rafting experience! For some background, my husband was the only one who had ever done it so my kiddo and I were newbies. Along with another kiddo and adult, we rafted through class 1-3 rapids and I never felt that we were not safe (despite me being the weakest swimmer in the family). Alec was truly a guide in every sense of the word. He prepped us before taking on the rapids - gave us the route we would take, what to expect in terms of how we were to paddle and what we had to do. We played some fun boat games and spent some time floating in the river which my husband and son loved. Also included were the always fun brain teaser riddles that had all of us entertained during the floating portions of our trip. After completing the class 3 rapids and all staying in the raft, we felt on top of the world and wanted to do more! If you have ever thought about trying white water rafting, do it - you won't regret it! It's truly an experience and a great time in nature with the family. OARS is a professional and inclusive company, with great guides!

What a cool experience. Got there for the 10:00 am tour, and I was the only guest. The walk to…read morethe cave is only about five minutes, but there's no shade so the earlier the better as the temps heat up. Inside the cave is about 50°. I have no issues with claustrophobia, but if you do there is one tight squeeze that might be a problem. Cash, my tour guide, turned off the lights (after asking my permission) and we experienced total darkness for maybe thirty seconds. It felt like two hours, and I hated it , but still neat and recommend trying if offered. Use the hand rails. They are there for your safety.

We were the only ones that signed up for the earliest tour that day and were lucky to have a private tour. The tour has informative history about the caverns with landmarks along the way. The most interesting thing we didn't know about is they have caving adventure tours where you shimny through holes and narrow spaces with a guide but our kids aren't old enough to partake. This was the first show cave in California and townspeople lived in them during harsh winters in the 1800s. There was a bar inside and a church and nails were even given to people to carve on the walls. Because of this there are signs of harm everywhere with soot, broken formations, and dirty coloration from human hand oils and even champagne poured on a rock formation. The caverns are huge and beautiful with some jaw-dropoing rooms. The walking tour is very safe though we loved the slight danger and claustrophobic feel of the Mercer Caverns. When you leave the shop has some cool historical items pulled from the caves on display like glass bottles, etc .. that are worth checking out.
