Our 21 year wanted to come here for his birthday!! He, one of his brothers (the other stayed home), his good friend and his dad all jumped 9k. It was crazy to watch the whole experience...would absolutely never do it myself, but all of you people that are dare devils would love the experience...one of our boys got super sick afterwards (motion sickness unfortunately even with Dramamine)...he was still happy he did it with his brother!! AMAZING experience for one of my 20-something birthdays!! If you're an adrenaline junkie like me, skydiving is for you- there's no other feeling like it and it's such a thrill. My past hs physics teacher Rob Black and his crew were so cool to dive with and made my friends' and my 1st time memorable. First you go through an educational part so you know the play by play of what's to come. Then you change into a cool flight suit, parachute pack, goggles. Next thing you know you're boarding a little plane ascending 13k feet to the clouds. I'll never forget the launch- my tandem instructor and I sat at the edge of the plane opening, he goes "Ready, 1...." And then he hurled us both out! I was expecting for us to go at "3!" Free fall was such a freeing experience - I was flying! I was on top of the world and remember seeing little squares of green, brown on the ground and the wind flapping my cheeks. I will never forget that feeling. Then 3 taps and the parachute emerged and we soared and eventually floated down and landed. Recommend getting the package with the pics and video so you can relive the experience! I was on a high the rest of the day and still remember this experience vividly several years later. Worst dropzone in Northern California. Go to Skydive California if you want a big plane. If you're only looking for a tandem, NorCal or Goldengate or Skydive California. This is really not fun jumper friendly like they advertise, sure you can fun jump, around the tandem schedule. The student gear is old, as well as the program, there are far better training programs, even at Lodi. There was even a student that died here a while back. Go skydive somewhere else. It's poorly managed with an outdated, bare minimum training program. You'll get far more for your money at a different dropzone if you're trying to get a license. read more

If you want to sky dive this is the place to go! Great safety record. Very nice community here. Clean restrooms. Professional and respectful instructors. I booked a tandem 18k sky diving jump for two people. The process is very smooth. Booking online was easy. They have an electronic waiver and a safety video online. You can choose to pay in full or just the deposit of $50 online. Tip: There is a 3% surcharge for credit card. So it may be worth it to pay only the deposit online and pay the rest in cash or with debit in person. I paid $773 for two 18k tandems because I paid by credit in full online. The price listed in the office for 2024 is $365 for the 18k tandem. Rescheduling is also very easy and no hassle as long as it's before 48 hours of the original appointment. Follow the link in the email. When you reschedule you can actually see the availability for each time slot. If you choose a time with less people you will likely be on the shorter end of the 1.5 to 4 hour time frame. We arrived early around 2:45pm for our 3pm appointment and were completely done by around 4:15pm. (Note we were the only 18k tandem appointments for the 2pm and 3pm time that day.) We had Jack and Jorge. Both instructors were great! Very respectful and listened to what we wanted. You have a choice of the full suit or if you only want the pants. If you don't want to pull the parachute or steer that's okay. They'll do that for you and you can just enjoy the ride. Jorge really helped put me at ease because I was nervous. The plane is tiny. The solo fun jumpers will probably be in there too. You may practically have strangers sitting in your lap. But everyone was nice. Fist bumps all around before they jumped. Tip: If you wear glasses you should wear contacts instead or take off your glasses entirely and not jump with them. The goggles they give you are very tight. My glasses were smudged from pressing against my eye lids. It was a bit uncomfortable. To pop your ears plug your nose and blow. That will help with the discomfort. I wish I had known that during the free fall when it was the most uncomfortable. Tip your instructors! They have Venmo QR codes posted and also little envelopes for cash tips. These folks really deserve it! At the end we were given certificates, stickers, and a coupon for the next sky dive. The coupon is only valid the day of your jump. You must purchase it on-site right after your sky dive. The coupon is about 50% off. So if you really enjoyed sky diving it's a good deal since it doesn't expire. Great experience at SkyDance! When I went here, men kept walking up and touching me. The instructors and some skydivers would touch me. When I said I was uncomfortable, the behavior continued and everyone pretended not to notice. There is a clause you sign before skydiving that says you cannot sue for sexual harassment, and the instructor can touch you to put on a harness. Odd because random men's hands were on me and it had nothing to do with my harness. The teachers here were rude or would flat out ignore me. There was some random guy screaming and swearing me out that I believe worked for Skydance and people watched and said nothing. He didn't have a reason to scream and swear me out. I went skydiving July 25,2024. This was my first time and for my 64th birthday. It was a blast! I had Brian as my tandem instructor.He made me feel very comfortable and explained everything to me in detail. I was very very nervous. It was a great experience I felt very safe in Brian's hands. I had an amazing time learning the great sport of Skydiving via SkyDance. Brian was a great instructor, friendly guy and cool looking Santa. I didn't have any expectations going into it, really just enjoying the moment and beauty of Davis and surrounding areas, and Brian and the rest of the staff helped ease any worry or nervousness. The only thing that was an issue was my ear hurting during my time being the air but after a few yawns and wiggling my cheeks, the pain went away. My 77yr old Dad wanted to check skydiving off his bucket list. He was scheduled for a morning jump, the weather was perfect, calm and clear. The staff was laid back, casual, and extremely professional! Dad jumped tandem with his instructor, Ross Vail, super nice guy with tons of experience under his belt. We arrived early and were hanging out at the picnic tables and got to see Ross (his instructor) pull up for the day on his bad-ass Harley, so cool! Everyone made Dad feel comfortable, pumped up and really special. The other jumpers in the plane that day were so kind as well as my Dad's videographer, Curt Vert. Even fist bumps all around before each & everyone jumped! Dad was the only jumper in our family that day and they let us go through the whole process with Dad all the way up until his walk out to the plane. Started my AFF here and loving everything. I have done Tandem jumps prior, at other DZs, in Northen California , San Diego, Perris SD, Tahoe, Hawaii. This place is easily the best in every way. The staff are incredible humans, experienced, welcoming, and just genuine! Atmosphere is friendly and very motivating. Litteral Professionals everywhere, you will be in a hangar full of "Giants". I booked a Tandem 13,000' jump + video package for my boyfriend with this company after doing some research and reading good reviews. It was a bucket list item for him. This review is from my perspective and his. The process to book online was very easy. There was enough information for me to be satisfied with what he could expect. I received an email afterwards with documents that he could complete before arrival to save some time. When we arrived, we were met with friendly service and a quick check in process. Kurt was the person assigned to my bf for the tandem jump. This is a side note, but I want to add it. They have a small fenced in dog park on-site if you have pups. I brought my two so it was nice to hang out there. There is a bleacher seating area to watch the jumpers land, but I could see the landing from the dog park. Kurt had his friendly Aussie/cattle dog pup, Abby, (seen in the pics here) who hung out with my pups and I in the park while they went off to do their jump. Comments from my bf: Kurt was experienced, friendly, patient, and provided all the relevant info for a safe and successful jump. The videographer (sorry did not catch his name) provided reassurance with another friendly presence up in the sky. He had the videos/pics link ready and sent to us in an hour or so. So happy to have bought that because it was fun for my bf to relive the experience and when you are filled with adrenaline, you miss some of the details at the time. It was great for me to watch the videos and see the pics too. If my bf were ever to do this again, he would definitely come back here. It's a good experience for a bucketlist item. On the fence if I ever want to do it again. After I reached the ground I was like do I really really want to repeat this? It was crazy but then even two days later I can still recall the feel and I haven't even checked the inbox and watched the videos. Super fast fall and the view is actually decent seeing Bay Area and Sacramento. The instructors are very talented and can navigate through different situations and I might not have had a clue if I did it solo. I was offered opportunity to pull the chute but tbh couldn't even see the altimeter from my position and beginner experience. An only ask is that the instructors swear less and have less profanity about and one was quite stern and the tone was a little harsh but maybe that's to make it heard or received. read more

Now, obviously I can't say that I've taken AFF Course at lots of different schools, but my experience here was absolutely superb. Within one day I was able to do my first jump, and I felt totally confident during the whole process. Don't get me wrong, the climb up and the jump out had my heart racing like it's never done, but you have two instructors with you the whole time to make sure that everything goes very smoothly. I've not got about 8 jumps in, did my first solo jump and now I don't get nervous anymore, but just stupidly excited! I can't even stop smiling when that plane leaves the ground and takes off. I feel that I have total confidence when jumping, pulling my chute, and landing exactly how I want to. I couldn't recommend another school more than I would this one. As for tandem, two of my friends did it, and they had the best time of their lives! If you're considering doing either of those, then I very much suggest you come here and find your wings. And really, this place ROCKS. - They're concerned about safety. This review is specifically for the company, and not the sky diver instructors who are private contractors anyways and they were so much fun. This company simply has no respect for your time. We had a 10 AM appointment and didn't get called until 1:30 PM. When we checked in after three hours, they gave us no communication as to what was the holdup or why we had to wait so long.
