Food, service, ambience! Exceptional barbecued meats and bbq sauce, as well as delicious sides! Very cute place in a nice little town.

Great stop. The BBQ was excellent (brisket, pork and sweet chicken). Mac and cheese and beans were fantastic sides. We had no room for desert, but the cobbler in a cone looked delicious. read more

Good food, but very slow service. Like, very very slow. If you are looking for a grab and go, maybe not the best place. Expect to wait a really long time even if the line doesn't seem that long. We came here once for dinner and once for lunch since food options are limited around Bryce Canyon and this spot had gotten great reviews. We ordered the 2 meat + 2 sides. Really good pulled pork and brisket! Juicy, tender, seemed to be cooked low and slow for a long time. Also got a brisket sandwich with a pretzel bun - you can add toppings like Cole slaw, baked beans, jalapeños, pickles, and nacho cheese... random but apparently good? I just got jalapeños, Cole slaw, and a crap ton of bbq sauce and it was super tasty. Plenty of serve-yourself bbq sauce too which I appreciated. 3 options - all of which tasted more of less the same as regular but one had a smokiness and the other was spicy. The Cole slaw is okay, a little watery and corn bread was good, standard corn bread mini muffin kind of serving. the potato salad was AMAZING. I usually don't get potato salad but since they ran out of some sides I got it and didn't regret my choice! (Even got it again for lunch the next day.) not sure what was all in it but very flavorful and tasty. Again though, took a really long time to get our food. There were maybe 10 people/couples ahead of us, all of whose orders seemed pretty standard, nothing like a huge party or anything out of the ordinary, and it took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food to go. They also do run out of food (like the ribs, chicken, Mac and cheese) so get here earlier to have all options + to buffer for wait time. read more

I have to love hole in the walls and this really wasn't! Even though the town was small, this restaurant would be something I would search for in a big city!! Service: We got there just before the lunch crowd and that was good timing because the line got incredibly long! There was two reasons for this.. one was there was only one person prepping the order and two because she made sure that whoever she was assisting had her full attention (which I appreciated, she smiled the entire time even though she was chopping and whipping up dishes left and right)! Because she was the only one working at the time, before another person came, the tables needed to be cleaned but we had time to do it so overall we didn't think too much of it as a an inconvenience. We saw it as an opportunity to be able to sanitize it the way we wanted to. Food: PHENOMENAL!! They were out of the ribs but the brisket made up for it! The potato salad was flavorful and refreshing and my Mac and cheese was just right! I actually added some of my brisket to my mac and that was a match made in heaven. I wonder why they don't have that as an option. My husband got the nachos with a heaping serving of the brisket! The corn muffins were just sweet enough.. but I put a little brisket in the too like a corn muffin sandwich! read more

So happy to find this place. Just a quick 10 minute drive from Bryce Canyon... away from the busy national park crowds. This is an actual restaurant that started out as a food truck. Love how they decorated the interior. Their dining room even has a huge wall for you to sign. Lots of bench / family style seating. Food: we all tried to get different things so we can taste as many from the menu. Brisket was flavorful, cooked very tender & juicy. Their pulled pork sandwich was also very good. For their sides, get the coleslaw! Their mac & cheese was a little disappointing. It was dry & tasted like it had been in the warmer for a while. They also ran out of mac & cheese so they had to substitute some of our orders. Their cornbread is delish & comes with a homemade honey butter (too thick & too sweet for my liking). They have a huge pot of bbq sauce in the condiment section. Sauce complements the meat very nicely. Of course any girls trip won't be complete without dessert... peach cobbler & pumpkin cobbler it is. Verdict: peach cobbler topped with whipped cream. Yes! The combo works perfect for the ala carte meat, since you get a serving of meat plus 2 sides & a drink. One serving of brisket was a little more than enough for one person. We took some to go. The gentlemen behind the counter were all so nice and welcoming. Price point is affordable. I definitely recommend this place for a good, hearty meal. Probably one of the better choices for food in the area. read more

What a great basket of nachos! The photo doesn't do all the cheese and baked beans justice. They really piled it and the chicken on high! Each bite had cheesy goodness (both nacho cheese and shredded cheese) dripping off the nacho. Chicken was nice and tender. Tried two of their sauces -- spicy and smokey. Both were pretty good! I really liked the food, and the interior was nice and clean. For a BBQ place, the interior was really well done. Bigger than some I've been in with a few nice tables inside. Have it 4 stars because I really wish they had a description on their menu, or at least a paper one with descriptions of what comes with their nachos and salads. Also, the portion size smaller than I would expect. It would be great to have a small size and larger size for those like me with big appetites. read more

Stayed in Tropic for my Bryce Canyon trip and I'm so glad this joint was right across the street from me. Nothing hits quite like a hearty bbq meal post hike. ~Restaurant~ Tucked in between the general store and an Inn, this establishment was nice and clean when I walked in. There is plexiglass between restaurant patrons and the employees when ordering and everyone was wearing a mask. The employees were really friendly and great at recommending options. ~Food~ 1) Brisket sandwich- 5/5: on a bun of your choice (brioche, asiago, pretzel) I opted for pretzel and added jalapeños and pickles. Served up with a generous portion of brisket, this sandwich was not only delicious but super filling. 2) Sides: I opted for the coleslaw- 4/5 and cornbread muffin- 3/5. The coleslaw was good and tasted on par with other coleslaws I have had. The cornbread muffin was also good although I felt it was a little dry. 3) Pumpkin cobbler- 5/5: when I saw this on the seasonal menu I got super excited as I love everything pumpkin and I was not disappointed. I got a small and it was still a generous portion of the pumpkin cobbler which was topped with a bit of whipped cream. It was so good and reminded me of a bread pudding mixed with pumpkin pie. If you love pumpkin, it is worth trying. 4) Sauces- 5/5: They have 3 sauces to choose from and I tried the bbq and spicy. I felt the spicy sauce was a milder level of spice however, both were delicious and tasted fantastic when paired with the brisket. Overall I would definitely come back here again and recommend this to anyone looking for a filling meal especially after spending all day hiking. read more

Delicious, cozy BBQ spot! They have A+ brisket and ribs . The pork is really good too, as are the sides. Peach cobbler was just alright.. but regardless a meal at IDK BBQ is absolutely worth your while. We were only staying in the area for three days, but ended up coming twice because it was just that good...oops. Loved both the plates and the brisket sandwiches. Meat is prepared super fresh, and you can really tell! It's juicy, flavorful, and honestly.. you just can't go wrong. My favorite out of all the options was definitely the brisket, so be sure to give that a try. The only real miss for me was the peach cobbler, which was super mushy and far too sweet for me. But it might be more up your alley, depending on your preferences! Beyond food, the setup here feels quite safe with barriers between workers and customers. Everyone's wearing masks too. Definitely come give this spot a try! read more

We visited here a few years back and everything was AMAZING!!! The bbq, and the pumpkin cobbler!!! Something we've talked about for years. We went to stop in today and it looks completely closed down. We asked someone from one of the other restaurants and they said they think they were closed down for the time being but were possibly reopening under new ownership! Very good food when we are there last and hope it's the same food when they reopen. read more

Delicious BBQ! The serving sizes were generous and it was probably the best food you can get close to Bruce Canyon. So glad we stopped in. Four of us shared a family set and additional corn bread and peach cobbler. There's picnic benches outside to dine on. When we went, half of the staff wore masks, the others didn't. They did wear gloves while prepping the food. read more

I am so glad this bbq joint was open! We found it on the way home from hiking Bryce Canyon. We ordered the ribs and the smokehouse chicken sandwich. Holy Moly...the best sandwich I think I have ever had. It was the juiciest pulled chicken and it was topped with creamy macaroni and cheese. That's not it...the bun was so fresh and yummy. I am craving this sandwich on a regular basis and bummed I don't live closer. The ribs were very good as well. I love when the ribs have a bit of a bite to them. As in, they don't fall off the bone. They were delicious read more

We drove the extra few minutes from Ruby's since this place had the best ratings in the area. The way they take orders and prep one party at a time is extremely inefficient and slowed the service down extremely. The self serve bbq sauce and silverware station did not seem Covid friendly. The sides were all very delish. The Mac wasn't dried out and cheesy, cornbread was very moist and they had honey for it which made it even better. Beans were good. Potato salad was delish, probably best side, was very mustardy which I liked. The slaw was also good. The meat was fine, not amazing, not terrible. The brisket was very dry and wouldn't get again, probably from sitting out all day. The ribs were very well done and had great flavor. Pork was good and moist as well as the chicken. Wanted to go back up to order their peach cobbler after my meal but the line was so long that I passed on it. read more

This BBQ is legit. The burnt tips is literally the best part of the brisket! The sign reads 1.49 but it is in fact 7.49, not sure what's going on there! I could have just got a cup of that and Mac n cheese and be happy camper. The potatoe salad with beans was delicious. I got the smoke chicken sandwich which was incredible. My husband got the western which he loved. The two women were working really hard and got everyone served quite quickly considering it was just them. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants BBQ quick. Prices are all reasonable and best part was walking distance to where we were staying so we took it to go. After a long day of hiking Bryce Canyon NP, this place was well worth the drive. We were all really hungry, but all the restaurants near the Park had poor reviews. So glad someone in our group suggested this place. Like most roadside BBQ joints, nothing fancy here. But, all their meats are tender and have a nice smoke ring. The sides were all tasty too. Fabulous pulled pork, better brisket and yummy "sweet chicken"! The smoky bbq sauce was our favorite of the three options (spicy, bbq, and smoky). The Mac and cheese was just fine and the coleslaw was refreshing! We also got the muffin cornbread. It's sweet so if you're from proper south sprinkle some salt atop and you're golden. To top off our delicious meal we got two small deals of their peach cobbler. Shell out for the ice cream and add that their homemade whipped cream. You will NOT regret it!! So. Good. When checking into our room at the Bryce village cabins I immediately smelled barbeque. The sauce, the seasoning danced across the highway. After checking in I went across the street I was greeted by the friendly staff. The smell of smoked meat permeated the small carryout restaurant. They offered many suggestions and I ordered pulled pork and brisket with the following sides...baked beans, Cole slaw, cornbread and Mac and cheese. The entire meal was incredible. Seriously some of the best barbecue we've ever had anywhere! The owner was friendly and helpful in answering our questions. So many tempting choices, but we finally opted for the meat and sides platter. We tried the pork and the brisket, and both were so tender and so juicy and delicious! The baked beans were absolutely scrumptious, the coleslaw was crisp and fresh and yummy, and the cornbread added just the right touch! The portion sizes were extremely generous! I'm only sad about three things: we were so hungry that we just dug in and forgot to take any pictures! We were so stuffed from all the delicious food that we also forgot to try the cobbler! And I wish we lived closer to Tropic because I would eat there every week! Just outside of Bryce Canyon National Park, on Beehive 12. Great bbq, generous portions, cooking with quiet loving care. Don't expect to rush. It's family; no yahoos or loud hogs. Really good barbecue! We got the three meat, three side plate to share (because why wouldn't you? A single plate is $11.95, double I forgot but the triple is $19.99. Wow...outrageously good BBQ in Tropic...just outside of Bryce Canyon. A must visit! Truly delicious food, good value and friendly staff. Make the trip to Tropic just for the food...we tried several plates of their two meat/two side options and loved it all. Our all time favorites were the brisket (insanely delicious), pulled pork, corn muffin and their stuffed potato, not to mention the great cole slaw. Got the brisket, baby back ribs and pulled pork. The brisket and baby back ribs were delicious but the pulled pork was a bit dry. This place was on our list to try after a day in Bryce Canyon. Didn't know what to expect other than another BBQ joint. The general manager was extremely kind and welcoming, talking with us while he finished prepping our food. The brisket was out of this world good. It was lean and flavorful and moist.
