Well, first of all I haven't even had a treatment yet and low and behold, I have a charge on my account, and I wouldn't have seen it just now had I not had a weird feeling to check yelp review and someone said, "be careful what u sign!" Not even 4 hours ago, I was on the phone with a beautiful nice girl who was helpful and kind, however, at no time was I aware that giving her my CC# was for the service I haven't even had yet, which seems wrong to say the least, if not illegal-ish, but that's where the signing came in. While on the phone I was told to look through some paperwork, read the fine print, check the box, blah blah and sign. Well honestly, who reads the fine print? And while on the phone feeling rushed anyway,...it's actually smart on their behalf because they know what I just said, is true, nobody reads it...but u signed it, yada yada, BS! and I was already in a state of mind about what I was calling about anyway, and I totally thought the credit card was to hold my appointment slot, and in the event I am a no show, I am charged $50. Ok yep that is completely understandable. Done that before. But at no time was I told specifically or verbally I would be charged the full amount right there. Pay before a service, such as this??? Uh no. I even specified I wanted to wait for budget reasons, etc... and also asked if my appointment date would be another consultation with the Nurse so she can see me or pay at time and I was just told, no, you are all set. Again, I thought the card was for the holding of the appointment and to make it easier when I am there. The whole thing now in hindsight feels like a scam and that's exactly what prompted me to look through yelp and google, and it was more than a few reviews that said negative things about this company which normally I wouldn't let that sway me, and just see for myself. I came for laser hair removal in 2016 and am still coming here for additional treatments. I guess I'm hopeful. I've had excellent treatment from some specialists, and horrible treatment from others. As far as the in-chair experience goes, it totally depends on the girl doing the treatment. One of them told me to calm down when it got really painful, and almost scoffed when I asked her to slow down. But others have been so kind and patient in my pain. However. The most FRUSTRATING thing about Ideal Image is the non-transparency when it comes to the possible ineffectiveness of treatment. I wish I had known that areas of thicker, darker hair might never actually go away. Thousands of dollars spent on discreet areas I thought would never have to see a razor again. Wrong! They blamed it on PCOS, which I am 99% sure I don't have... The only reason I'm still doing it is the "discount" (which may not even really be a discount) and the fact that I've seen it work in other areas that had a different hair type. This place is a SCAM. I did a "free consultation" and the lady asked me if I wanted to see how much I qualified for Ally Lending but never told me I was signing to commit to the services. Once I had realized what had happened I called Ally Lending (in less than 24 hours after the so called free consultation) to cancel the loan. Now Ideal Image is refusing to refund ally and forcing me to go through with services even though I only did a consultation over ZOOM and NEVER even stepped foot inside any of their institutes. Well, they had the prices printed out and ready for me before I showed up for my consultation. The lady I met with assured me several times that no other medical place or spa could possibly do as good of a job as the great and wonderful Ideal Image. At 50% off, I could pay $4,000-$4,500 to get ONLY my underarms treated. The lady assured me that this is a fantastic deal. Especially since there's a lifetime membership where you can ALWAYS come back and touch up areas if they start to grow back and that they were the only place that would guarantee such a thing. I've been to other places who do a phenomenal job and $4,500 is the amount you pay for your entire body and they have cheap touch ups for life, if you need them. HUGE SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!! I started my treatments 10/31/12 and finished my them in 2014. I am still shaving every other day. The purpose of a consultation is to find out if my hair is treatable before I start treatments not to lie to get the sale. I was told my hair is perfect for the treatment. After completion of the treatments without results I was told by Ideal Image that I would see more results with more treatments which I could receive after a price, of course. I have since consulted with Dermatologist and other Laser Hair Removal companies without telling them about my experience at Ideal Image and each have told me that my hair is not treatable. NEVER USE Ideal Image for any service. They are a DISHONEST COMPANY! I have been putting off writing this review because of how much heartache this has already given me! I signed up to receive laser hair removal with a sales woman over the phone. At the end of this call I didn't realize I had signed a contract. I unfortunately trusted the sales woman and took her word for it. She made me feel like I was signing a waiver not a contract! I know I should have read through more carefully but I decided to trust the consultant. It wasn't until a couple weeks before my appointment, which I thought was an in person consultation, that I tried to cancel and say I was no longer interested. It was at this point that I realized that I had signed a contract and either had to get treatment or pay anyway. I then asked about the possibility of me not even being a good candidate and they explicitly told me that when I came in in person, if it turns out I wasn't a viable candidate for treatment, they would let me out of the contract and refund me. When I arrived for my consultation, they said, "oh no we have you down for treatment today." I felt like no one was listening to me and nothing was getting past on. Turns out I was not a good candidate so I appealed the contract. It took them months to get back to me and even then it wasn't great communication. They did decide that since I wasn't a good fit for treatment that they would refund me half of the cost! HALF??? I fought this and they tried to enter in more appeals but again no one every got back to me whether or not my appeal had been approved. I finally called and discovered it had been denied but they didn't feel the need to inform me. I tried calling a representative to ask about trying to appeal again or to see if I could transfer the balance to another treatment. I was promised multiple times that they would get back to me but I never heard anything. I don't understand why I at least couldn't use the money for another treatment. I am paying them, I should receive something! I have gotten so tired of trying to fight it I have just been making the payments. Please do not use this company. This was the biggest waste of time and the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Let me tell you. So, I hear this add on the radio saying that Ideal Image is offering 50% off on hair removal. I think, "Wow! 50% off! I better call". I called and scheduled an appointment for the next day (great). On the phone they tell me that they will email me the address of the facility via email. Well... I never got the email. I call again and ask for the address. They assure me they will send it again (without trying to confirm that they had the right email). They ask me to check my spam. Nope. Not in spam. By the next day I still did not receive an email. The day of my appointment I look of the address online. As I am circling around the parking lot trying to figure out where I am suppose to be I call the Orem location. No one answers. The phone was ringing for 1:46 minutes. I call again. No answer. Then I called back the number from the radio station. They tell me to call the Orem office. I explain that I called twice, and got no answer. They said that they would have the office call me. The Orem office calls and explains to be that their facility is IN THE MALL. Well, the mall was CLOSED. They explained that I needed to go in through the food court entrance on the east end of the mall, and down TWO hall ways. When I got to their office they had me fill out paper work before I could have my consultation/hear about the prices (which was why I was there). OKAY... GET THIS. They asked me to sign a paper that said, and I quote, "I have received a copy of this office's Notice of Privacy Practices". WHAT the WHAT. I had received no such paper. They wanted me to sign this paper and even highlighted where my signature was suppose to go. But they had failed to give me a copy of the actual document. When I asked where the document was they told me that they normally wait to give the THREE PAGE, FINE PRINT legal document to their customers until they are on their way out of their appoint. WHAT!!! How is that even ethical? I thought it was some sort of mistake. Signing the paper would be unethical and irresponsible. WTF. Then they wanted by complete medical background/ history and a copy of my driver's license BEFORE I had my consultation. I hadn't even decided if I was going to have them do my hair removal. Are you serious?? Not going to happen. So, they let me meet with the nurse without collecting any of these papers. After the nurse gives me her run down about why I should go with them she explains to me that their nurse has had 150 hours of experience with hair removal. WHAT?? I explain that if she works full time than that means that she has less than a month's work of experience. LOL. It would have been better if she would have not told me about the nurse. I asked how long the nurse had worked there and she did not give me a straight answer. By this time, I admit I was laughing. Then she said, "Do you have any more questions" and I'm like are you serious?? The whole point of me coming into your office on a Saturday morning was to talk about prices. That's why I am in this room meeting with you. HELLO?? WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES?? Okay, here comes the BEST part. She finally shows me the prices and reminds me that this is 50% off. I just have to say, Steffanie, who works at the front desk immediately made me feel so comfortable and willing to talk about the things I wanted done. She was so knowledgeable and inviting!! I have been stopping by and looking at different clinics all week trying to find the best one and others have simply handed me a brochure and told me I could find all my answers on that. I went in for a consultation for LHR on my under arms and upper lip and chin. Everyone was very accomodating and professional. I had gone to another LHR place before and was extremely dissapointed in the lack of professionalism and the fact that they had Esthiticians using the lasers. I was so excited to get laser hair removal. I was evaluated and they said it would work great on my skin/hair type. After spending a fortune at what I thought was the best company around, unfortunately, I was anything, but impressed. It did not work at all and I felt as though I was lied to in order for the sales rep to get my sale. I started out at the Orem location in Utah and moved so I had to transfer to finish in Henderson, NV. Not only did the treatment not work after staying out of the sun for over a year to be able to get my treatments on time, but they "lost" my before picture (which is medical records). I was lied to many times about this by the Orem location saying that it was in a data base system they did not have access to. By law patients should have access to all medical records. They also told me that I needed to travel back from Las Vegas, NV to Orem, UT to get a Re-evaluation done (making it seem that the Henderson location was incompetent at doing their job). Although the staff at the Henderson location were very nice and friendly, I am starting to think the Utah location was right. I went in for a meeting with them about getting a refund. We talked about how disappointed I was in the laser treatment, customer service was told they would take my case to the "next level up." This has been going on since April and it is now almost December. I have called over 7 times weeks apart from each other. Each time I was promised that they would call me back within a few days and not once did they follow through with their promise. I have always had to call back and follow up (talk about bad customer service). It has been 9 months of trying to work this out and still no phone calls back or no solution. It's clear they think that if they avoid me, I'll go away. NOT going to happen. Im almost to the point of getting a lawyer to get this settled once and for all.
