I am beyond happy with my decision to have smart lipo and having Belle Medical in Pleasant Grove do the procedure! Two years ago I had cool sculpting done and the only results were swelling for over a month and not even 1 inch of fat loss for over 4,000.00. I swore after that I would never spend another dime on a weight loss procedure unless I actually saw the fat come out. Fast forward to September 2019. I have dieted and exercised with very little results. Needless to say, I had some serious issues with my body and self esteem. As I looked for options, I came across smart lipo. I googled all the info I could about it and watched YouTube videos of the procedure as well as what doctors recommended. I was sold but nervous. I told a friend about my thoughts and she recommended Belle Medical in Pleasant Grove. The staff was upfront and honest with me. I explained the only concern I have is that I have a very low pain tolerance and I was afraid of the pain. They helped me decide what was the best course of action and we scheduled my procedure date for Dec 20. The day came and I was nervous but excited. I was given some pain meds and something to relax. The doctor helped talk me through my nerves. Some parts I felt basically nothing because I was so numb and other parts hurt. The next couple of days I was in pain, but was able to be up and moving without pain medication within 3 days. At week one I saw a huge difference! Significant loss and I was still swollen. By week 4 I had lost a total of 11 1/2 inches! ( remember the full results don't show for 3 to 6 months ) I was still a little sore like a bruise. There are only two regrets I have. #1. I didn't do this years ago. #2. I didn't do my inner thighs. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They are kind, thoughtful and invested in your outcome. A few tips if you are going to do this. Do your homework. Take time off to recover (I took 2 weeks). Buy an extra compression garment that has an opening to go the the bathroom. I'm sure Belle will be happy to let you buy an extra one. I got mine off of amazon. (the first two were too small so I'm glad I ordered early) Last but not least, have someone there to help you with the compression garment the first week. Thank you again Belle Medical! Just had the fat transfer from my stomach and flanks to my breast. So much pain in recovery and it's just day 4!!! The outside of my vagina looks like a boxers face being punched 1000 times, horrible purple blue bruising. Can't sleep tonight because I have so much backed up gas inside me it's too painful. I have been passing gas ALL DAY LONG! My breast are so tight and swollen I can hardly do the 2 10 minute massages on them plus my stomach! Should of been told the truth about recovery, no way 3-4 days. More like 2 weeks!! Never even meet the Nurse Practitioner until the day of my fat transfer. For $8,000 you'd think they would take better care of me during and especially after the procedure. read more

I had a great experience here! I had my upper and lower abs and flanks done and I lost 5 inches! I have had the hardest time losing my lower belly pooch since having babies and my stomach is now totally flat! I'm wearing clothes I haven't been confident in in years. I treated my upper/lower abs, flanks, banana fold, and inner thighs with Jamie. He was so personable and made sure that I was comfortable the whole time. He made sure that the areas were marked exactly how I wanted and took the time to explain everything in depth to me and answered all of my questions. In their advertisement they say, you only need to do it once. It also says that they leave about 20% of the fat. I was talked into treating several areas at once, so they would have enough fat for the transfer to breasts. I was in a excrutiating pain during the procedure, so they rushed it. They only took maybe 10% of my fat. The breasts were the most painful, I was screaming and begging for pain relief. I was given a stress ball to bite, so I could get through this. I could not! I finally screamed to STOP!! On my check up visit they measured me and saw that I did not lose the 2" promised in the treated areas. They told me that they will keep their committment and do it right the next time. Now Derrick Pickering does not want to treat me. Nobody returned my phone calls. I am out A LOT OF MONEY with very minimal result. read more

Not very knowledgeable about medications and interactions, was told the medication I was on was totally fine. Signed up with my fiance and paid the full amount up front. Not cheap! But I don't think most medical treatments are. He was scheduled first, about two weeks after we paid. He goes into his treatment, and I am told when I am waiting to pick him up that they couldn't do my treatment because of my medication. They waited two weeks to tell me this, and only after my fiance had his treatment. All they care about is the money and they will tell you anything to get you to do the treatment. Granted, they are refunding me since they can't do my treatment. Only have to wait a couple days for the refund request to corporate, then they are going to MAIL me out a check. I paid with a credit card and find it quite hard to believe they need to mail me out a check for the refund. So it looks like I will be 30 days out from payment to get my refund. But whatever, at this point I just don't have a great feeling about this company and how it is ran. If I were to get a medical procedure done in the future I would definitely find a better provider to go with. On another side note, my fiance is in a lot of pain from his procedure here the day after. He had a couple areas done and says the pain is quite bad, had a horrible night trying to sleep. He never complains about pain but he is feeling completely horrible. :( So the statement, "ONE visit. No pain, no down time!" is quite wrong in his case, and maybe the ones who only have one area or very little fat to take out that is true, but honestly I don't believe it for a minute. Overall I would recommend you look elsewhere for a fat loss treatment, or just go in knowing they will try and sell you on the procedure even if it isn't actually right for you. It may work for you, or it may not; but for $3000 I would take my money to somewhere I feel more comfortable. read more

-100% DO NOT RECOMMEND- It has been a full 4 months since my procedure. I really wish I had gone elsewhere. Here is why: 1. The provider (Karen) is not a board certified plastic surgeon, or even a surgeon at all. She barely said anything to me at all when she was marking me up before the procedure. When I met the girls for my consultation, I told them the areas I wanted done (upper and lower abdomen, and flanks). They didn't really even look at the areas, much less touch them and tell me where one ends and the other starts. They also assured me that Karen was a total perfectionist and wouldn't stop until it was perfect. Not true at all. I can absolutely see that everywhere is lopsided. She took more from my left abdomen than the right, and more from my right flank than the left. Good thing I wasn't going for a bikini bod. Then day one after I took my compression garment off and looked at the results, I could see little bumps under my flanks. Like she took the muffin top and left the muffin bottom. I pointed it out on my first follow up. Jenzie assured me that she had worked on that area and it was just fluid setting. The little holes were right in the middle of the bumps after all. Flash forward to my 30 day follow up, the other girl asks how I like my results to which I say I'm super unhappy with my muffin bottoms. She bluntly tells me those are my HIPS not my flanks and I didn't treat my hips. How freaking simple would it have been for either of the two people in my consultation or Karen to go over areas and expectations. Simply say, if we stop at the flanks it will leave funky hip bumps (I thought that it was all flanks, didn't even realize it was considered hips). I assure you, I would have said do it. I seriously am so angry that they didn't take the time to talk about that. 2. Hurts like freaking CRAZY. One reason I chose Belle Medical was to be awake, no sedation. Bad choice. I wish I didn't remember the pain. Oh, the healing period is brutal too! No downtime? Yeah right! That's laughable!!! So much freaking pain. And compression garments suck. 3. Aftercare instructions and supplies were not clear or consistent. I had a friend do the procedure as well (she regrets it more than I do, but that's her story to tell) and we were told different things and given different supplies. They gave me cut up maxi-pads to put on my open wounds. Doesn't seem sanitary to me. 4. RECOMMENDATION: Even if you decide to use Belle Medical, please go have a consultation with a BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON! I really wish I had. They will take much better care of you. Their personal name and reputation is on the line and they depend on referrals from their patients. They actually care about your results and are BOARD CERTIFIED to perform these procedures. The providers at Belle don't care about your results. If this gig doesn't work out for them they can move on to the next doctors office. If I decide to fix Belle's bad job, it will be with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and I will be knocked out! 5. Also, check out other places that offer more than one type of fat removal. For example, since they left super funky hip bumps on me and lipo hurts like mad, I would probably let them do cool sculpting on those areas to rectify the poor job they did. But the thought of lipo again is dreadful, and that's all Belle Medical does for fat removal. 6. I could write a novel (practically did), hope I covered the most important topics. -not plastic surgeons -poor communication -inconsistent results -not happy with results -need more work to fix what they did -super duper painful, during and after -compression garments suck & 30 days is a long time! 7. Belle medical is so amazing. They seriously changed my life. Every staff member is so kind and knowledgeable. I met with Mauri, the treatment coordinator, first and she explained the whole procedure to me and answered my initial questions and concerns. When I decided to move forward with treatment they were booked out a while which was sort of bummer because I was ready to treat next week! Once I scheduled I met with the medical staff. They explained the procedure and protocol and what the expect. Again, the staff just blew me away. They are so knowledgeable and helped me have accurate expectations for the procedure itself and post op. Now that I am 30 days out I am IN LOVE with my results. I have never felt better about myself. A lot of it is because of the staff. They make you feel great inside and out. My mom, family members, and friends have treated as well. I tell everyone to come here!
