Derrick did my procedure and he was a real pro. I felt that he and everyone involved in the actual procedure were really interested in me getting what I wanted. In fact everyone from the desk staff to nurses to massage therapists have been great. You're pretty relaxed by the time the procedure starts and while it's not painless, the recovery has been much easier than experiences I've had with major cosmetic surgeries. Firstly, I have gotten lipo done before in Los Angeles. The experience was pleasant, they kept checking on me, and it was COMPLETELY pain free. I did feel that he missed a little bit, he understood my concern and I was told that it would cost a few hundred dollars to fix. My experience at BelleSculpt was not so pleasant. The first interaction I had with the doctor, I explained how much this affected my self-confidence and impacted my daily life so negatively. I was met with a very detached 'I'll do what I can'. Which still really bothers me. Why is it that plastic surgeons get away with statements like this? How are they even professionals at their job if they still can't effectively do, literally, their only job? I got my inner thighs and lower abdomen done. They marked me up and took me back, they claimed to have numbed me, but this was one of the MOST PAINFUL experiences of my life. I was constantly writhing in pain. The doc acted like it was such an annoying inconvenience for HER. I WAS IN HORRIBLE PAIN!! On top of that listening to the doctor and assistants talking so unprofessionally made me uncomfortable. She was complaining about how little BelleSculpt was charging clients, how underpaid she was despite being SO much better than the other surgeons there, the assistants were also saying how underpaid/underappreciated they felt, just complaining and complaining - the whole time. They finished up and I went home. Again, this was not my 1st rodeo, I know how important follow-up care is, I did EVERYTHING they instructed me to do. However, a couple weeks later I noticed 1 my inner thighs were kinda uneven and there seemed to be quite a bit left behind. 2 there was a very unsightly divot above my lower abdomen. I called and brought up these concerns and they tried to blame me saying that I must have not been wearing the garments or was doing something wrong. Nope. They said I wasn't going to be able to meet with the doc again until my 90 day follow up. They did offer 2 lymphatic massages. The Masseuse was probably the only genuinely pleasant person I delt with. She agreed that this was not any kind of shifting or separating, this was not my fault. They were still unwilling to offer any help until I met with the doc again. When I finally met with the doc, she had an almost hostile attitude. I told her that I was disappointed with my thighs, how I had mentioned my concern and entire reason for lipo was that they were rubbing together and that they were still doing so. She IMMEDIATELY became defensive and said, "we only guarantee 2-5 inches we never promised that they wouldn't be touching anymore". OK, rude. I didn't know the 2-5 in thing, at no point was I made aware of that policy, I guess I was just supposed to know, my bad I guess. The snarky attitude was just unnecessary though. Then I brought up the divot across my midsection, she tried to come up with some excuse and say that I should have gotten my upper abdomen done - even though it wouldn't have been hanging over had it not been for this divot. I had had enough, I said to her, " you were only supposed to work on my lower abdomen, if you did only take fat out of my lower abdomen, then why is it that this area is so much deeper than the area that you worked on!?" She had no answer. She just said she would talk with staff. Later I got a text from BelleSculpt saying that this was a common occurrence and they could fix it for a $1,000 room fee. Oh ok, now it's a common thing and not all my fault, interesting. Also, ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS! Is there going to be a hot shirtless bartender serving me bottomless margaritas? YOU RUINED MY BODY! Why is it costing me $1000 to fix? I feel like they just made up a price that seemed low enough to sound semi reasonable but high enough to be hard to pay so that they might be able to get out of it. I still haven't been able to get it fixed. I think my self-confidence might actually be worse than before. I hate my tummy, it looks horrible. Their ad says "results are guaranteed". lol, I guess they never said what kind of results. read more

I just want to say that I was so so excited for my procedure with Belle Medical in Bountiful and then I got rescheduled, for a couple days later and had to move to the Draper office to a new Dr. I was very upset. I was unsure about this because I wasn't able to find any reviews on Dr Melody Scheefer and her team. By the time I got there, her team Alyssa, Kaylee and Alex were apologetic about the way things were handled in Bountiful and had all the answers to all my questions and concerns to set my mind and anxiety at ease. Dr Scheefer was A-mazing! She spent an hour or longer going over every little detail with me giving me a full consultation with her before the surgery, making sure everything was exactly what I wanted. There was no rushing, they took their time talking to me and my husband and addressing any concerns we may have had. I ended up switching all my post ops to Dr Scheefer and the Draper office and highly recommend Belle Medical in Draper. They are 5 star all the way. I felt thoroughly informed throughout the entire processes! They provided an in-depth over the phone estimate and even helped estimate a few different options I had been considering! They asked descriptive questions to insure they understood exactly what I wanted and helped me get to the best option to fit my needs. They have been so welcoming to all the questions I've asked throughout my Pre and Post OP experience! I have utilized and appreciated their willingness to answer within a few hours if not quicker they have all been so amazing through this experience! I felt eager to experience this procedure! The aftercare takes routine building/expanding. I have had little to no difficulty maintaining the steps to get to a full recovery. I work a full-time job and am currently attending college so the nerves about maintaining the aftercare steps consistently felt intimidating at first. I definitely chose the perfect time in my life to go through with this procedure; the past four months I have been more active early in the morning by riding 10-20 miles a day on my bike at 6:00 AM to help ground myself through the day. This made the 1-2 mile walks an easy thing to incorporate into my routine! I have even been able to start riding my bike with little soreness and am only ten days post OP. On day eight I went on a 15 mile bike ride. Don't get me wrong, I was defiantly sore after this, but it was so worth it! I am so pleased with the treatment I received from the bountiful location's staff! They all treated me with much encouragement and empathy. They were so social and welcoming which led to me feeling comfortable and taken care of! Dr. McKee was amazing during the procedure while confirming exactly what to expect. He had great bedside manners and the nurse played classic jams to listen to which made for a light and comfortable environment! I did a breast reduction and flanks sculpting. (Hope I spelt flanks correctly XD) The first step when getting there day of the procedure I was given the meds for my anxiety and to manage pain (in addition to the numbing they me for the spots they worked on) once that was done, they tool my vitals, they took my weight and measurements, then the before pictures! After that I was able to relax and ground myself into the awesome reality of this experience! When Dr. McKee first came in, he was so respectful and conversational, which was so enjoyable! He used back of the hand touch when he was using the permanent marker under my breasts, so respectful, always telling me before we would do anything while using minimal touch (this was throughout the entire process, I was always in the know!). The sensation during the procedure: They gave a great description of what sensations to expect. It actually tickled when they were numbing and at times it felt like I was getting a deep massage from a quick massage gun (which also tickled:)). After my dear friend picked me up and had a half sleep and half random conversation filled drive XD I was able to rest the first day and sleep my meds away! The second day I was feeling pretty sore and due to the fact, I work with extremely active kids I felt it was best to call in the day after to recover a bit more! However, I was able to walk a mile that first day, it was a slow walk, it felt good to get out and move my body! My massage on day three! I was so nervous about the massage because I was feeling pretty sore and numb still, however my nerves were immediately calmed when the massage started! She was applying little to no pressure and was slow and gentle! It was such a therapeutic experience after the procedure. It really helped connect me with my body and helped my mind and body work together to healing consciously! I also received a lot of helpful tips for my home massages! The second massage was still lighter than a regular massage but was the perfect about of pressure without it hurting! I was able to indulge in a wonderful conversation with the masseuse and enjoyed the entire experience! Throughout the process she kept me informed on what everything does for your body, and I felt well informed! I know this is a lot, I get a bit carried away when I feel passionate about a topic, but man am I passionate about my wonderful experience with Belle Medical and I am only 10 days in. I can't wait for day fourteen. day sixteen, day twenty, and finally day thirty! I had my procedure done 2.5 weeks ago and wasn't prepared for how high maintenance and painful recovery would be. Be prepared to look like you were in a serious car accident for at least two weeks post op. Also, the post op massages are NOT leisurely and pampering. Mine left me in tears and gripping the sides of the table. Your body will clump despite massaging at home. I'm spending at least an hour a day massaging with so much pressure with a roller and I still have clumps I'm not convinced will go away. I'm doing everything they've said to the letter...wearing the compression garment 24/7, exercising a minimum of 30 minutes a day, drinking 80-90 ounces of water, and I'm still having clumping fat deposits. Now they tell me add heat for 30 minutes prior to massage. I felt grossly unprepared for this recovery. I was told what to do, but not at all what to expect. I'm having serious buyers remorse at the moment and hoping that the coming weeks will make me feel better as I continue to recover. read more

I do not like to give a bad review. There is not a doctor on site. The man, Jamie Sharp, who did my procedure is just a nurse. He was rude and talked to me in a condescending way. The sales lady was very convincing. If I had met Jamie Sharp first I would have backed out. I did not get good results. In good faith I can not recommend this place. Jamie Sharp, is a big time mormon from Provo and has some unresolved anger issues. It puzzles me as to why he was so rude and talked to me in a condescending way. I have always taken pretty good care of myself. I've been active and I've tried to eat healthy. When I reached my mid 50s my shape begin to change. The inactivity of Covid just made things worse. After my consultation and was SOLD! 2 weeks before my procedure I had my vitals done and was given instructions for the day of. All 2 weeks I was so excited! I would tell anyone who would listen. Come the (early) morning of my procedure. I show up and nobody is there. I sent a text and waited 30 minutes...nothing. I expected them to call when they opened letting me know there has been a mistake, nope. Finally, I CALL THEM and am informed they didn't think I wanted to proceed so they didn't show up. What? Went in December had an appointment set up some time for me to have the procedure done in April because they are booked up that far 2 weeks before my procedure I go in and have a consultation with the doctor ends up not being a doctor just a desk clerk ask me some questions to have the next day say according to our reviews of your questions and that you're not capable of having the surgery why do you wait 3 months to do something and have them drive to your facility with the cost of fuel so high when you could have done this all over the phone. Belle medical was the biggest waste of time pathetic company I've ever worked with in my life and by going off a couple questions instead of the doctor seeing you is BS. The girls running the front desk barely acknowledged that I was there and seemed too caught up in their trivial conversation to be bothered with friendliness, and the girl scheduled to do my consultation was unprofessional, disrespectful and extremely ignorant. I can't speak to the quality of their work because I would never have felt comfortable moving forward with the procedure, strictly based on my first interaction the staff. I had a wonderful experience at Belle Medical. The procedure and post-op was not painless or easy but so worth it for the results I got. I just turned 30 and feeling so good! I started with one area--my arms to kind of see how it goes. I lost 3.75 inches on my arms where I have been trying to loose fat from for so long!! The physical difference these inches make is so big. Now that I know what the pain level and post-op care is like I will be going back for more! At my consultation they were honest and upfront with me about the results and what to expect. I asked tons of questions too and they answered them all. They advised me on when to take the medication (when the pain would be worse etc.), you don't have to be medicated all the time. I like that they are reachable by text too for questions and concerns. Most of all I love the staff, I actually liked seeing them every appointment, they are so caring and friendly. I love Belle Medical! The whole staff is so kind and knowledgeable! They took really good care of me during the procedure and since I treated closer to the weekend they had someone reach out to me to make sure I was doing okay and answer any of my questions! I was able to go back to work after that weekend and only felt sore like I did a hard workout for a pout a week! At each appointment the staff shows that they really care for each person coming into their clinic! I treated about 6 months ago now and absolutely LOVE my results! The procedure was great! I hardly felt anything just an occasional pinching sensation once or twice and wearing the compression was a little uncomfortable in the beginning but well worth it for the results! Overall, my experience was so-so. The staff is friendly and attentive. The facility is nice. However, my procedure was done twice. The first time I was very unhappy with the results and the staff agreed it wasn't to their standard. The second time they did it at no charge and some areas were just as I wanted them, but my flanks are still less than ideal. I met with the provider and they said I would have to pay again and wait six months because of another procedure I was having. I got a second opinion from a plastic surgeon and he agreed that more could have been done. Had they kept striving to meet my goals I would have given a higher rating. I'm also not a fan of only seeing the provider on the day of the procedure. I feel like the follow ups should also include the provider. The first and final follow up at the very least. The procedure is painful, but that's to be expected. Note that this is done under conscious sedation and not general anesthesia. read more

I recently had a procedure completed at Belle Medical late last week. My final results are nowhere near in, and yet, I'm so excited with the changes I already see! The staff at Belle Medical, Draper office, were absolutely amazing! I initially felt really self-conscious about my body and even having others see it, but within minutes I was put at ease and felt completely comfortable and no longer felt vulnerable or anxious about others seeing what I had disliked about my body for so many years! The staff were so caring & reassuring! Derrick Pickering, NP completed my procedure and also put me at ease. I'm not sure if he realized, but he frequently asked me questions, (since I was wide awake during the procedure) to distract me from any mild discomfort. When he could see that I was getting anxious or having a tinge of discomfort, he would ask a question to completely distract me. I thought about it later and realize what a wonderful strategy and skill he really has! Not only in performing my contouring, but in helping to set my mind at ease and keeping me comfortable. He was kind and gentle and frequently checked in to make sure I was doing OK. The lead assistant, Emileigh, even held my hand during the initial process when I started to get in my head! I had a truly HORRIBLE experience here. Jamie Sharp was my provider. He is only a nurse. I had lipo on my thighs and fat transfer to my breasts. Every area he touched even after 2 years is riddled with issues and complications. I have gotten consultations from board certified plastic surgeons to see about correcting the complications, every single one has been mortified by the fact that a nurse who is so unqualified is operating and also how badly my results were. I would recommend Belle Medical and I'm giving them 5 stars. However, let me be clear, it was not all unicorns and rainbows all the time. YES, I am VERY pleased with my results, I lost a lot more then they even guarantee. YES, I feel so much better about my stomach area, and more confident in myself. YES, the staff at the Draper location were amazing and positive and helpful! But... NO, I was not able to go back to work the next day, in fact all I wanted was to be heavily drugged and never ever use my stomach muscles again. NO, the compression garments and the girdle are not comfortable, not convenient and are a pain to get into. NO, I did not heal in 24 hours, in fact I'm 30 days done and I'm still healing! Perhaps I went into it a bit naïve, thinking that it was like getting a dental cleaning or something. It was NOT! But... I had this procedure done a few years ago and feel like I should tell everyone NOT to do it. You bleed horribly for a few days... (definitely cannot go to work the next day) it is painful and you have to wear an incredibly uncomfortable slimming outfit that they don't tell you about for a few weeks. In their advertisement they say, you only need to do it once. It also says that they leave about 20% of the fat. I was talked into treating several areas at once, so they would have enough fat for the transfer to breasts. I was in an excrutiating pain during the procedure, so they rushed it. They only took maybe 10% of my fat. The breasts were the most painful, I was screaming and begging for pain relief. I was given a stress ball to bite, so I could get through this. I could not! I finally screamed to STOP!! On my check up visit they measured me and saw that I did not lose the 2" promised in the treated areas. They told me that they will keep their committment and do it right the next time. Now Derrick Pickering does not want to treat me. Nobody returned my phone calls. I am out A LOT OF MONEY with very minimal result. read more

I had my procedure 1st procedure done March 2022. I had 4 areas done. Upper and lower abdomen, flanks and lower back. Was it painful? Yes! But we all respond to pain differently. Was I happy with the result? Absolutely! So happy that I had my bra fat done a month ago and it was almost painless. Some parts hurt more and some just doesn't. During my 2nd procedure, I mentioned that though I was very happy with the result of my 1st procedure, I wanted it touched up. Unfortunately, the nurse practitioner that performed my procedure left the company and for me to get a certain discount for the procedure I wanted done, it needs to be done by the same person. They worked with me to get what I was promised. This time, Dr. Miles McKee performed my procedure. I told him about my main concern was the pain. My 1st procedure was too painful I almost told the NP to stop. I was worried that I wont be able to lay still and he will have problems with me. He told me my comfort is one of his top priority. He was not lying. Yes, there was a little discomfort here and there during the procedure but it was not something unbearable. A pinch here and there. It's normal. I love how Dr. McKee updated my husband about what was going on with me and the procedure. He was very gentle and thorough. I am just 3 days post op, swollen but I can tell the difference. I also disagree with the other reviews that they won't work with you if you don't get the results. They do and they will. Just communicate with them and tell them and they will work with you. The staff here are amazing. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I guess I like the part they get to know you personally.
