I have been acquanted to Dr. Fryer as a client, student, and peer. His skills goes beyond cosmetic surgery. I have personally seen his abilities with trauma reconstruction. He is the only plastic surgeon I will recommend. I first sought out Dr. Fryer 4 years ago for a consultation for breast augmentation and a hernia repair. I did recieve an in office hernia repair but I was not ready to follow through with augmentation at that time. He assured me that the hesitation to commit to surgery was normal. He also said that when I was ready to just give the office a call and set up another consultation. He would be happy to answer my questions at any time. Four years later I made that call. I was ready to have my surgery. During the consultation Dr. Fryer answered my questions respectfully. Nothing I asked was outrageous. My boyfriend was concerned with the implant rupturing because I had recently taken a horrible wipeout while mountain biking. Dr. Fryer made the point of how durable the implant was by throwing it on the ground with all the strength he had. He said that only intense trauma, such as a rib punturing the implant, would cause it to rupture before the 10 year mark. He said that around 14 years the implant would be more friable. He suggests to get them replaced every 10 years. I personally know someone who has had theirs in 15-20 years but her breasts are extremely hard. She is going to have to have a more intense surgery to clean out the scar tissue and calcification. During the consultation I was able to view pictures of before and afters of other patients. Dr. Fryer performed a breast exam and took measurements to ensure I received the correct size and shape I desired. He made sure I had realistic expectations with this surgery. Which I have to say is important for anyone considering this. After he left his nurse assisted me with choosing the desired size I wanted. She consulted Dr. Fryer's measurements and recommendations with the different implants and referenced a chart. This ensured that I chose the right style of implant to fit my body shape and size. After I received a copy of forms to review that I would sign when I came in for my pre-op appointment. I also recieved information about financing. You have to pay a certain amount of money to schedule the surgery. Then you have to pay for your surgery in full before your operation. I financed my augmentation through Care Credit. The Care Credit app is easy to use. Using the app I was able to go into the office and pay for my surgey in full even before I recieved the card in the mail. This ensured I scheduled my procedure for the earliest possible date that accomadated my schedule. At my pre-op appointment I finalized my size choice, signed paperwork, and took before pictures. After my appointment I was walked over to the spa to receive my complimentary scar gel, which I would start using 1 week after my procedure. I ordered my complimentary latisse with the main office which was a promotion from the company who manufactures the implant I chose. Also, I received my perscriptions for percocet and phenergan. This way I had these medications available as soon as I was done with surgery. The day before surgery I received a call from the surgical center to arrive at 0645 the next morning. I was to not eat or drink after 2300. The morning of I arrived and signed paperwork. My responsible adult driver left his phone number and was required to stay within a 15 minute drive. I left a urine sample to test for pregnancy. I met with Dr. Fryer and we finalized paperwork, he drew lines on my chest for surgery, and he taught me post-operative care. I was able to keep on my bottoms but wore a paper top. When the anesthesiologist came in he asked me a few questions and then I followed him into the operating room. He placed my IV and started sedation medication while the nurse put on my blood pressure cuff, leg squeezers, and pulse ox. I was already falling asleep by the time the oxygen mask was being placed on my face. I woke up in recovery 2-3 hours later. My surgery was 1.5 hours long. I was encouraged to eat ice and eat some crackers before leaving. Follow all doctor instrutions to the T. Dont remove your tape, do your stretches, ice, keep up on pain medication, etc. I was up and moving after taking a 3-4 hour nap. The medication definitely zonked me out. I slept on 3 pillows for the first week. I had to sleep on my back. The stretches and ice help with the tight feeling in your chest. It is almost like charlie horses. I am still doing this almost two weeks later to relieve this discomfort. I went back to work 1 week after surgery. I stopped taking my pain pills around day 5 post op. After the tape was removed I had to wear a solid under shirt under my bra to prevent the seam from rubbing on the incisions. It helps alot. Around the first week my sensation came back in my breast. I totally enjoyed every minute of nursing each of my four children for a full 12-15 months! Plus, I worked full-time and that translated to a lot of wear and tear with a breast pump. Needless to say, my poor breasts had taken a beating. I was happy and relatively comfortable with myself dressed...although I always was painfully aware that I kinda looked like a 12 year old boy. However, I cringed when I went clothes shopping or when I was au natural in front of my husband. He insisted that he loved me just the way I was and that it didn't matter...but, I couldn't help but cringe when he touched my breasts. I had always promised myself that when our family was finally all here, I would have the surgery and things would be rosy. What I hadn't realized was that a lift AND an augmentation (I needed both because...well, it was that bad) translated to much more money than I though it was going to be. So, I decided I was just going to be fine they way I was....and I felt so sad. A few months later, (my husband never really saying to or not to...even though I tried to get him to) I decided that even though it was a ridiculous amount of money and it was totally selfish...I was going to do it. And I am so happy I did. I am not a different person. It did not all of the sudden turn me into a super model or make me incredible in bed. But, I have to admit...it has given me so much more confidence...maybe it is shallow...but, I feel SO much better in my own skin and that has had a profound effect on all other aspects of my life. I look so much better in clothes and it is so much more fun to shop. I enjoy being naked a lot more than I used to (although I kinda wish I had gone ahead and sprung for that tummy tuck...you know, the whole mommy makeover) and I do think that that has had an effect on our sex life. I read all the reviews and had consultations with a number of surgeons in Salt Lake and I am so happy that I ended up picking Dr. Fryer. He had the best reviews and when I visited him he was so professional (but approachable) and didn't act rushed and answered all my questions with real information instead of just fluff. I was pleased with his staff and the way his office was run. My surgery went well and they turned out beautiful! My recovery went very smoothly. I was really hurting for like 24 hrs (I don't like to take pain meds) then felt like I had an elephant sitting on my chest for about a week or 10 days. Things where kinda tight and shiny and high there for a while as the swelling lasted a pretty good 5-6 wks but I am at 3 months now and they have settled down and look and feel a lot more natural. I also had quite a large area of numbness on my right breast...like my armpit all they way to my nipple on the entire outer half of my breast! It took a good 10 weeks...but it is now coming back. So, I think all the feeling will return. I am tall (5'9'') and have pretty wide shoulders and a pretty wide chest and I ended up going with 450cc silicon implants. I am happy with them and I feel like for the life I want to lead (jogging, climbing, rolling around in the grass with my kids) and for the length of time I would like these babies to look good (gravity will eventually catch up with me still) they are just right. Having said that...I swear that they looked much bigger when I tried them on in the office (you just stick the implant in a bra and look in the mirror). I really wish that I had gone bigger. I think that it would have been better for me if I had had another chance to try things on. I met with Dr. Fryer in December when I was meeting with a lot of other surgeons and I did try the implants on at that time. But, then I didn't decide to go ahead with the surgery and with him until April. Then my surgery was scheduled in May and you don't see him again until a week before your surgery....and then there is no time to schedule another time to go in and try them on again if you have anxiety about whether or not you made the right choice...which I did. I called and talked to one of his staff and she was really sweet and helpful and tried to put my mind at ease that I had selected the right size...but, I wish I could have had another chance to try them on and get a better idea of what size implant I wanted. I think, if I were to do it again...I would go with 550 instead of 450. I am sure that if I had asked in the beginning...they would have let me come in some time during that month that I was waiting for my pre-op appointment and just sat in a room with my husband and tried some on. I don't know. But, if you are at all worried about that...try it. That is my only wrinkle in the whole experience. That and the anesthesiologist kept commenting that it was not a bad think to look like a porn star when I getting laid out on the table and settled in...kinda creeped me out since I was just about to be naked from the waist up and unconscious in front of him in just a few seconds. read more

Dr. Fryer review If you are looking for the absolute best Doctor Look no further...Dr. Fryer is no doubt the best! Went in for a consult (I've been waiting for this day for a long time) I had read my fair share of reviews and had several friends recommend him so I went in with really high expectations and I have to say my expectations were definitely exceeded! The office is centrally located, easy to get to from the freeway and very nice! The staff was very outgoing and I didn't wait long at all! My consult I felt very well taken care of, the nurse gave me info and talked to me about a few things the Dr. Fryer came in and spent a good 30-40 minutes discussing the proceedure, going over his recommendations and then answering my many questions! In talking to him he is very professional and you can tell he knows his stuff. He even went as far as when I asked about another procedure he was honest and said he wouldn't recommend it (clearly his patients are more important than $$) he also was able to talk to me about being a potential high risk candidate for bottoming out. He had done a lot of research and had suggestions as to how to make sure that we keep it to a slim possibility! He left and I felt 100% like I had picked the right doctor! His nurse then came back and the fun part began...choosing an implant! The nurse was helpful but not pushy and Dr. fryer gave recommendations about how wide to go which made choosing much easier for what he measured would make the most sense (obviously he would've done what I wanted but I was grateful for the parameters and in the end I really feel like it led me to the absolute best outcome!) I set my pre-op and my surgery that day and literally started counting down the days! I think it's only natural to go back and forth on size and prior to my pre-op I kept wondering if I had chosen the right size...the pre-op I had another chance to try the sizers on, I did still circle back to what I had chosen previously but was so grateful for the chance to be sure! Get set up with all the info for my surgery! Surgery day came, got in there and ready, Dr. Fryer came in to go through everything, he's very nice and so professional you can't help but feel like he is such a good doctor! Met with the anesthesiologists who was also so nice, and made me feel very comfortable! Went back to get set met the nurses (who couldn't have been more nice) they chatted with me keeping my mind off any nerves and next thing I knew I was waking up Headed home with specific instructions on how to have the best recovery! At home I took it very easy and followed all of Dr. Fryers instructions. Was grateful to receive a phone call that evening from Dr. Fryer checking up on me (like what doctor takes the time to do that???) Went in the next day for my post-op feeling much better than I expected to! Met with Dr. fryers nurse who made sure everything was looking good and that I was feeling ok! Throughout the week I followed the suggestion for a quick recovery and seriously couldn't believe how good I felt (and I have 4 little munchkins I chase around ) also I wasn't able to take ibu due to bleeding quite a bit during my surgery and I really don't like taking heavy pain meds...within 3 days I was 100% off any heavy pain meds and able to just take Tylenol! Went in after a week for my one week post op, yet again great office, such nice staff and they are so good about a short wait...even though if you do get to wait they have snacks and water in the waiting room! Met with Dr. fryers nurse who took the take off (woohoo) and talked to me about my new instructions for the next few weeks! She was so darling and very nice! Then met with Dr. Fryer who came in and made sure everything was good and that I had survived the first week! I cannot even tell you how happy I am with the outcome, I truly feel like from start to finish I was in the absolute best hands and with a doctor that is beyond amazing at what he does! I am 33 years old and had a breast Augmentation just over 3 years ago. I am 5'3 and weigh 107 pounds, I love to workout, eat healthy and try very hard to look a certain way(brings me more happiness when i take care of myself). I went to see Dr. Drake Vincent 3 years ago to have a normal routine Breast Augmentation, after my surgery i knew something was wrong, they looked completely off. One was higher and the pocket was not the same as the other side, he agreed and did a second surgery right away to fix my chest. They still didnt look perfect but blamed it on my chest cavity. After a few months my breast aug started falling and dropping into my ribs, I was 2 inches lower and lopsided. I hated my chest, they were too wide for my small frame and i always looked Boxy in shirts. I liked the way i looked flat better before the surgery. I ended up living this way for 3 years until i couldn't handle it anymore, they were sitting in my ribs and stretching the skin. I went to 3 different doctors and did lots of research and that is how and why I choose Dr. Fryer, he was amazing!!!! He told me exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to fix and close the pockets. I was so nervous and mad that i had to do the surgery over a 3rd time and pay a lot more money to fix the Problem that Dr. Drake Vincent created. I ended up scheduling the surgery within 2 weeks and had plenty of time asking Dr. Fryer questions and talking about my concerns. He understood everything that i was wanting, I wanted to be even, higher and more narrow. The surgical center was incredible, the anesthesiologist was amazing(i didnt get sick) and my recovery has been great. Dr. Fryer said my surgery was going to be painful due to putting an internal bra of sutures inside to hold everything up(i didnt need a lift). I was prepared to be out of commission for 2 weeks on pain meds but i was in a lot of pain for only 3 days, after that i went off meds. I was able to take care of my 4 small children the day after surgery(no lifting though). I am so surprised that my recovery has been so minimal. The first 3 days my chest looked really funny, I was swollen in different places and they didnt look even. Dr. Fryer called me personally off hours 3 different times. He told me the swelling would be different on each breast due to having to revise each breast differently. He said trust me I sat you up 4 different times in surgery to get them to look great and even. He really paid attention to my main concerns and only after one week they look great!!!! He had to lift the right breast a ton to match the other side and make the capsule pockets smaller, he had to close up the pocket on the sides to make them more narrow and on the left he had to round out the center to bring them closer together. All of the things I asked him to do he exceeded my expectations. They look amazing only because i went to Dr. Fryer, he took the time to care about me and my needs. Go to him, Do not go anywhere else because he will give you the results you want and knows correctly how to do it. To start, I am 25 years old and I have Pectus Excavatum. I wore a 32A bra that gapped all the time because what little breasts I had would just sink into the hole in my chest making me flat as a board. I have never been able to find clothes that fit right and when I was about to get married and had to be careful of the wedding dress I chose because I didn't want to look like a little girl playing dress up. Luckily my fiance understood that I wanted to get breast augmentation to improve my self image and to just be able to fit into clothing and bras right. So, I started looking online and literally looked up who was the best plastic surgeon in Utah. Dr. Fryer came up on every site I found as number one with 4/4 stars or 5/5 stars. I read all of his reviews about how he really takes care of you and cares about your situation. I will tell you now, he did not disappoint. I went into my free consultation and found that he has a friendly staff and they really care about what you come out looking like. Since I have a petite frame and Pectus Excavatum they only gave me choices of implants that they felt would work for my body type. Dr. Fryer was very confident in himself and explained why he has the reviews that he does. For example, the amount of blood loss in his surgeries was significantly less than his competitors. Less blood loss means less bruising. Less bruising mean shorter recovery time. There were other points he went over but needless to say I wanted the implants right away. Dr. Fryer urged me not to because my wedding was only 2 weeks away. I won't lie, I was upset. However, I was comforted that he took the time to tell me why it wasn't a good idea and now I am glad that I waited until after the honeymoon to get the surgery. Hawaii wouldn't have been the same if I was sore or couldn't do things like kayak and hike up mountain sides. He really has your best interest at heart and I have a very long email from him to prove it. I got my surgery yesterday and the whole experience was great. The anesthesiologist was friendly(as far as I remember) and the ladies in the recovery room were also friendly ( as far as I remember). I had to stay in a hotel last night because I live too far away to have gone home. Last night while I was laying in bed, Dr. Fryer himself called my husband to see how I was doing. I really thought that was the icing on the cake. He could easily have had any one of his receptionists to call and check in but he takes the time to do it himself. As my husband said, "Thats why you pay him the big bucks." I went in this morning to have my post-op check up and Dr. Fryer came in and did that himself as well. To those of you who are wondering about how painful it is. It's not a cakewalk for sure but I have been up since 7 this morning, walking around, shopping, and eating normally. I have found it is most painful to push and pull things like doors and I can't open bottles of any kind. I plan to go back to work on Monday like normal and just take it easier than normal. I did a lot of research and had a few consultations before deciding on Dr. Fryer. During my first visit with him, he reassured me of all of my initial concerns and fears and made me feel more confident in the decision to go ahead with surgery. He was patient and took the time to answer all of my questions. His nurses and staff were so friendly and patient as well! I was very nervous the day of surgery, but again was reassured and felt comforted after speaking to Dr. Fryer and his staff. The surgical center was great and convenient that it was in the same building. Surgery went very smoothly without any complications. Recovery was easier than I expected but definitely painful. So be prepared for that. I never did have to take the Percocet prescribed, so that is good, I just took 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours and it kept my pain under control. I felt REALLY good that night after surgery and felt like it was a breeze, the next day I even felt well enough to get up and go out with my husband to run errands, and day 2 was also pretty good, just some tightness, but I felt well enough to go to a baby shower and a bday party that night. But nobody prepared me for Day 3! The swelling was at it's maximum and I felt like I could not catch my breath! The tightness was so intense! But even after a middle of the night (Sunday) call to Dr Fryer to make sure something serious wasn't happening, he reassured me again that this was normal symptoms, but to come in first thing on Monday to have a look. I went in and everything looked great! The swelling had started to go down and the bruising was also starting to diminish. He was sweet and patient to see me and make sure I was feeling ok. My one week visit went well, after removing that super sticky tape (worst part!) He told me everything looked fantastic and my incisions were healing nicely. They gave me this great scar gel to use 2 times a day, which has already started to make a difference on my scar. I am almost to the 2-week mark, but already feel significantly better! Sleeping the first few days were rough, so prepare for that. I slept most comfortably in a recliner. Since I am a stomach sleeper, sleeping on my back really hurt my back for the first week. But I am slowly adjusting to it with the support of lots of pillows. My bruising has really diminished and my scar is looking better every day. I still get muscle spasms every once in a while since my implant was placed under the muscle, so the muscle contracts and releases after a few seconds of tightness. And have had some nipple sensitivity now that the feeling is back. Other than that, I am able to do most things that don't require lifting anything above 10lbs. I have had a positive experience and would definitely recommend Dr. Fryer and his staff for a breast augmentation. Another surgeon said I would need a lift to fix the damage of nursing twins, but after seeing Dr. Fryer he said that was definitely not the case and I am so glad I didn't go through with the lift, because I am very happy with the outcome! read more

Dr. Fryer is the kind of doctor who makes you feel like you are his only patient. He spends as much time as you need to make sure you understand the procedure, maps out what your recovery should be, and makes sure that all your questions are answered thoroughly. I had a complete abdominoplasty last year, which turned out very tight, smooth, and beautiful. I am pleased with how it looks, but have had quite a long recovery time. Still in pain a year later but I'm improving little by little. Hopefully, I will be back to better than pre-surgery soon. I recently returned to Dr. Fryer to have an old set of saline breast implants replaced. I had saline implants that were 20 years old. I was worried that they would rupture soon and I would be riding on a flat ;) I opted to replace the old ones with the new silicone implants. I couldn't be happier with the results. The new implants are much softer and do not feel like I have a foreign object under my muscle like my old implant did. I decided to increase the size by a bit in order to be more proportionate with the 20 lbs I've gained over the last 20 years. Not knowing the size of my last implants, I left the sizing to Dr. Fryer. He was able to determine the size of my old implants once they were removed during surgery. I wanted to increase by 100 cc's so knowing the previous size was necessary. He was meticulous in determining size of the previous implants and making sure the new ones would be proportionate. I fully trusted him to make a decision on my behalf and adjust the size if he felt that I would look better with something different and gave him the latitude to make that decision in surgery. An On-Q pain pump was offered to help curb the post surgical pain with both surgeries.. I highly recommend discussing and considering this option. The pump keeps a steady amount of numbing medication going to the surgical site and I really feel that it helped to keep me comfortable after the surgeries. During the recovery from the tummy tuck, it took about 2 weeks for my pain level to go lower than 6-10, I can only imagine how awful it would have been had I not had the pain pump installed for the first week. With my breast surgery, I was up and about that very night feeling very little pain.. I have had some significant pain now that I am 2 weeks out, but it is likely due to my overworking. I need to follow directions better and stop lifting things that are probably too heavy. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Dr. Fryer for additional cosmetic work. His office staff and nurses are smart, friendly, lovely women who truly want you to have a good experience. read more

I have been wanting to have a breast augmentation done since I was a teenager. I was that girl who needed nothing more than a training bra, even as an adult. I'm a 46 year old mom of 2 boys, and after recently losing 40 pounds, I was left over with very saggy and deflated mom boobs. I was looking to get a breast lift and implants to regain my figure. Pre-op, I measured at a BWD (Breast Width Diameter, measured by Dr. Fryer) of 11, and I measured at a pre-op bra size of 34DD. Dr. Fryer recommended no more than 345 cc implants (silicone Mentor), and he performed a lollipop breast lift. Post-op, I am measuring at a 34G bra size, which is 2 sizes up from my pre-op measurements. . . which is exactly what I figured, since 175 cc implants typically increase one cup size. Dr. Richard Fryer provided extremely professional and qualified services. The best thing my husband and I liked about him, when we went in for our initial consultation, was that he clearly and carefully explained the breast lift and implant surgery, with any potential complications, no matter how small a risk. This made us feel like he was not trying to "sell us something", rather he wanted us to be fully aware of the procedure, with its potential risks. He was also very thorough in answering our questions. In addition, because he has such a calm and intelligent demeanor, I always felt confident in his care. This was my first surgery ever, as well as my first time experiencing general anesthesia. When I mentioned my anxiety about it to Dr. Fryer, he was very reassuring in helping me know that I was in good hands, and if I were to have to have any surgery, an elective procedure like this was the best kind of surgery to have. I am so pleased with my results, and even though I experienced vomiting for 5 hours at home after surgery while the general anesthesia worked its way out of my system, and even though my body responded to the surgery with a lot of dark purple bruising (which healed nicely by week 3), and even though I kind of felt like the "Bride of Frankenstein" with my lollipop breast lift incisions, I had absolutely no complications, and am very, very happy with my results! I am so happy I chose Dr. Fryer as my surgeon! My experience was everything I had hoped for! From the moment we had a consultation (it was virtual due to covid) I knew he would be the right doctor for me! I had a few other consultations with other surgeons near by and it just wasn't the same experience. He took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, he drew out where my incisions would go and went over any risks. He answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was asking too much. For my pre-op my nurse was the sweetest, I loved her! She helped me choose my size and went over all my instructions for day of surgery. On day of surgery it went so smoothly, the team made me feel comfortable and once the anesthesiologist came in I was asleep and awake again within what felt like a few seconds. My recovery was better than I expected, there really is no pain only pressure and tightness. The first day I was able to call Dr. Fryer himself and ask him any questions on some concerns I had which I thought was awesome to have that clarity. I was able to be off pain killers on day 3! Switching to only Tylenol every 4 hours. Within day 4 I was able to move around and my breast felt great, just had the pressure and tightness which is normal. The only downside was not being able to go to the bathroom due to the painkillers so I do recommend taking the stool softener they recommend you to take, that'll make the recovery a lot more comfortable! Also I'm 23 years old I got 320 CC in left breast and 350 in right due to asymmetry. The CC sizes will look different on everyone depending your breast tissue, but that is what I went with and I am now a 32 C! I do recommend purchasing yourself a surgical bra on amazon before surgery to have multiple during your one week recovery I only had the one provided for me and at times I wish I could switch it out to wash it and wear a fresh one. I first met with Dr. Fryer over a year ago for my initial consult. I was impressed from day one. I had lost 100lbs and had a lot of skin on my stomach and my breasts had once been a 44K and now were a 34D made up of mostly saggy skin. One thing that really impressed me was Dr. Fryer asked how long I had kept the weight off and that he liked to see at least 6 months before he operates to make sure that the client isn't wasting their money. He said that without learning to maintain that kind of substantial weight loss, the client could be unhappy in the long run with their results. I really respected him for this stance. To me this showed me that it wasn't just about getting my money, but that he didn't want me to spend all this money and then risk gaining weight. That is RARE is plastic surgery. Many doctors only require payment and they will operate on any person that asks. Dr. Fryer earned my respect that day and I went back one year later having kept the weight off to get my tummy tuck and breast lift without implants. I am four weeks out now and everything about this experience has been perfect. Dr. Fryer was available to me 24/7 after the surgery. I had A LOT of questions that first week and most of my concerns came in the late night hours. My husband was even able to pick up a prescription from his home on a Sunday afternoon. He took all his own calls and never seemed put out by my repetitive questions. After spending that kind of money, I just wanted to make sure I was doing everything right. He had me come in to the office several extra times just to put my mind at ease, and for no extra charge. I also can't say enough about his nurses! They are the sweetest most caring ladies. They were so understanding and reassuring during this whole process. I am now 4 weeks out and my incisions look great. My experience getting a breast aug with Dr. Fryer was incredible. Setting up my initial consultation I was SO nervous. The staff there are absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and comforting. I initially booked a consult with Dr. Fryer for 2 reasons: 1. He has a very thorough online breast augmentation planner from his website. In all my hours of research, I failed to find a surgeon that offered something like this and was as thorough and detailed as Dr. Fryer. This planner ultimately led me to my decision because it offered such great information. Reason 2: A friend of mine had a breast aug + lift with Dr. Fryer and spoke very highly of him and hers look fantastic. I was looking into getting a breast aug after a 70 pound weight loss and wanted to avoid doing a lift at this time. I wasn't sure if that would be a possibility and wanted an expert opinion. Dr. Fryer spent 2 hours with me during the consult and explained his vision for what would look best with the extra skin we were working with (due to weight loss and having little breast tissue left) and answered all of my many questions. This is a physician that takes the time and CARES for his patients. He addressed every one of my concerns. On top of that, I called his office at least 5 times with more questions that popped up after the consult and the nurses there were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The surgery itself went great and I was back to work in 5 days. Dr. Fryers experience and technique made for an easy recovery and the end result is just incredible. At the time of this review, I'm 1 week post op and I never thought I would be able to feel/look this good ever again- Dr. Fryer made that happen. I trusted his technique, recommendations for sizing, profile, placement, and what his vision was and I'm so glad I did. What this procedure has done for my self image and confidence has been amazing. I LOVED working with Dr. Fryer. I had gone to multiple consultations and researched countless surgeons. I went in for a reduction and after talking to him (most other offices I visited I saw a consultation rep, not the actual surgeon) for 5 minutes, my choice was made. He was very informative and forward about all the facts and especially the risks. He didn't sugar coat anything or make me think it was going to be a breeze. It's a big procedure and you should know all the information. His staff is LOVELY, I have loved working with everyone. The day of the surgery was nerve racking, but he made me feel very comfortable. I had a really rough time processing the anesthesia after the surgery (it was my first surgery so I didn't know how I'd react anyway to it). They saw me the day after and helped me figure out what steps to take so it was an easier process of getting rid of the anesthesia. I ended up fluid build up in one of my breasts a couple weeks after the surgery. I was freaking out!! It hurt and was irritated and inflamed. I called, they got me RIGHT in immediately and Dr. Fryer was there to check on it. We did have to remove the fluid but it was not as scary as I was picturing. It was completely numb so I felt nothing and his nurse was so nice about me being a baby. It's more common than I would have thought to have fluid build up but if you think about it, it makes sense because it's new tissue to the area. Dr. Fryer told me all about the risks during my consultation so the fluid wasn't a surprise out of no where. After removing the fluid, the irritation and discomfort was gone! I seriously am so happy with the choice. Mostly because I had a lot of concerns and questions and they didn't make me feel like I was an inconvenience or bothering them by calling them and asking. I researched and consulted with various doctors in the SLC valley, some of which I was shocked to see the size and diameter of implants they wanted to use on me, I have a very narrow and small chest. After doing different consults I kept coming back to Dr. Fryer and his patient reviews. Dr. Fryer not only lived up to these ratings but has exceeded them in my opinion. The office staff at Dr. Fryers office are always so kind and inviting, Destiny answered all of my questions in a very prompt and detailed manner. So much so that I decided to book my surgery without consulting with him. When the time for my consult I never felt rushed in any way, in fact I felt like his nurse slowed me down and really helped me take my time until I was completely confident with the implant size. Dr. Fryer took ample time to sit and talk to me, addressing all of my questions and concerns. I felt completely comfortable and knew that I was in great hands. The day of surgery again Dr. Fryer sat down with me prior to being in the surgical room to go over our plan, taking time again to address any of my questions and concerns. After surgery he called that night to check in and make sure I was doing okay. At my post op appointment his staff got me in quickly, in fact I never had to wait long for any of my appointments. When I have had questions he and his staff have made me feel comfortable in calling or coming in anytime I need to. I am so happy with my results. I am almost 4 weeks post op and have been shocked with how quick my recovery has been. My incisions look so great, and will not be visible at all. I can't wait for my 3 month post op appointment. I had a breast lift and augmentation, along with a hernia repair done by doctor Fryer, and I can only say good things about his office and the work he does. When I went in for my consultation and he gave me so much information that I walked out of that office feeling fully educated and completely confident about the surgery and different options I had. I decided to go with Dr. Fryer after talking to a few friends that have gone through him and reading all his reviews and I cannot tell you how happy I am that I chose him. The entire process was such an awesome experience from his office to him personally. I went in the day of surgery feeling very nervous about waking up and being in a lot of pain. However, I woke up a few hours later and really it was no where near as painful as I thought it was going to be. I was up walking around a few hours after surgery with minimal pain and only a bit of "tightness" in my chest, the procedure was not painful at all in my experience, it was completely tolerable, and I was off pain medications within just a few days! As far as my hernia repair I was advised by a hernia specialist that I would be in bed in a lot of pain for the first 7-11 days and that I wouldn't be leaving the bed. That wasn't the case thanks to Doctor Fryer. My tummy was obviously sore but by day 3 or 4 I barely even noticed any pain or uncomfortableness. I have multiple friends that have had breast augmentations and they all told me it was extremely painful for them and I experienced minimal pain. I am 3 weeks post op and I feel AMAZING! The tightness has pretty much gone away, I have almost all my range of motion back, my scars are barely noticeable and they look incredible. I am so happy I went to him. I had a breast augmentation done by Dr. Richard Fryer on March 30th, 2017. I have had a great experience thus far. I had breastfed my children for a total of 6 years combined, which made them a little deflated. I wanted to get them back to the way they used to look, plus a little larger. I did a lot of research before making a consultation and after reading reviews and looking at before and after pictures, I decided that he was the only one that I really wanted to see. The initial consult was great. Everyone in the office was kind and knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Fryer was very knowledgeable, but also down-to-earth. I also felt comfortable with him, which is extremely important when deciding on a surgeon. I was a little nervous the day of surgery, as this was the first time I had ever been under general anesthesia, but after meeting with Dr. Fryer and the anesthesiologist, I felt a little more at ease. After waking up, I felt a little uncomfortable and some tightness, but it was not really painful. I felt my results looked great, even the day of surgery. I was so glad not to have the dreaded "Franken-boob". The day after surgery I was able to go out to lunch and by the second day I was driving and able to go shopping. I never had any issues with washing my hair, raising my arms above my head, or any of the things that I hear many other women say that they could not do for weeks after surgery. I am now two weeks post-op and loving my results. I have been on two hikes already (made sure to take breaks to keep my heart rate under 120bpm) and feel great.
