They would not honor a gift certificate that did not have a written expiration date anywhere on it (despite their being a place for it) after a year. They said their certificates expire a year after being issued but that was never mentioned when it was purchased and they failed to write it on the certificate itself. They should take accountability for their employee not writing an expiration date and honor the certificate as is. Now they just get to keep the money. It's despicable and frankly, illegal. Don't give them your money. Utah Code Ann. §13-11-4(2)(v) Makes it a violation of the Utah Consumer Sales Practices Act to issue a gift certificate that has an expiration date without disclosing the expiration date on the gift certificate or its packaging. I have been going here for 2 years, and their services are great. However, scheduling with them has become very difficult. I make my next appointment when I get my service done, but sometimes special events come up that I would like additional services done before my scheduled visit. I recently was asked to speak at my university where I graduated 20 years ago, and wanted to get a touch up. I tried to schedule with them 2 months before my presentation, and they have no availability. I am very frustrated. I am also told every time I go in, if I need a touch up that I can come in earlier, but this is not the case. They don't ever have any appointments to get me in. I know this is stupid to even care about beauty appointments. If you have something special you are trying to get ready for, this place won't be able to get you in. I was given a free facial at Clarity Skin after having a procedure done with Dr Bindrup who's located in the same building. Although I wasn't sure what to expect, I ended up having a relaxing time. My esthetician was really sweet and gave me some skin care tips throughout the process. She performed a little bit of microdermabrasion, and it was the most gentle one I've ever had. Afterwards, she even applied some Jane Iredale makeup on me so I could go about my day without a face on haha. I wish this place offered a price list or a menu of some kind to lay out how much you should expect to pay, but I guess it depends on your skin. They offer all types of services and medical grade products. read more

I think if someone comes in and is vulnerable and courageous by sharing there vulnerability with there skin they should be treated well. What really bothered me is there dishonesty and being told that I would come and get vbeam and then when I got there Jocelyn was trying to be thorough but Mackenzie is just a nurse and Jocelyn is just an esthetician so they really just don't have the education for treating blood under the skin I guess. I think being honest with your patients and never blaming them is important. I have noticed alot of healthcare providers doing that. I have worked in healthcare and listening is important. When I said my filler I had was dissolved I meant it and I was told they would not treat me when they didn't know how to! I think they need dermatologists in there and Mackenzie definitely cannot give advice on wrinkles under the eyes. The manager was rude and all the staff was superficial. Mitch was nice but that's it. Very disappointed with results of my Botox injection. My eye started drooping very badly about 5 days after the procedure. Went back to talk to the injector, Michelle, and was told I would just have to wait until it wears off. Which takes 3-4 months -This was an injector error, I think they should offer some type of refund. read more

As a first timer, I was a little nervous. I had been getting headaches and noticed myself holding a lot of stress in my eyebrows and in the middle of my forehead. I loved the service and am loving the results! Mackenzie was my injector and she made me feel at ease about the procedure and was suuuper good at answering my questions. Staff was so friendly! I went in and saw Mackenzie Benich one of the RN's! I have been to a number of places to get my botox done for my bruxism issue and this has been by far the best experience. Booked an appointment with clarty skin care approximately 4 weeks in advance for lip fillers and I was informed that it is for the actualy procedure and not consulation. 4 weeks forward, I arrived, signed consents and was called within 5 minutes after I turned in my consent forms. The girl did not introduce herself and rushed me into one of their treatment rooms. As I sat down, the nurse ( nameless) asked me basic questions about my medical history. She kept looking for an excuse to not preform this procedure today. First, she tried to scare me off with side effects and complications and I told her that I know the side effects and complications and that it was also listed in one of their consent forms. ( She did not list them she actually made it sound like you will get infections on your lips for sure and you will have a terrible expereince - and the chances are extremly high. ) Then she said that she has only 30 minutes to preform this procedure and maybe re-scheduling it would be a better option. I refused and told her that I am very busy and would not be able to come back and needed this done today and that I am flying out in 3 days. She then informed me that getting lip fillers before flying WILL cause infections and extreme post- procedural complications. I was told that it is very common to get infections if I fly out in 3 days and that if it were her she would not get them done. After wasting my time for 30 minutes, I told her that I would be okay with it- knowing it could be one of the side effects. Anyways, her negativtivity and personality made me re-think the whole procedure. She offered lip stick that would agmunt my lips ....Seriously - just be honest and tell me straight forward that you do not have time insted of coming up with millions of excuses and scaring your patient off from a procedure. I can tell when someone is not genuine so I agreed with her and just wanted to leave her room ASAP. I did not want my first expereince to be rushed or ruined by someone who isnt comfortable treating me. I agree with all other reviews that it is extremly difficult to get an appointment with them and once you do - they just make up stories if they are running behind for you to not get w.e that you want done. I wish I have known how this place operates before wasting my time and booking an appointment with them. Highly suggest spending a little more and getting it done with someone who is going to make you feel comfortable - specially if it is your first time. I had a great experience my first time at Clarity with Cynthia. She made me look great with a lip plump and Botox! Sadly the second time didn't go so well. I had a different injector and am not happy with the results. I specifically said I wanted my eyebrows raised with Botox, and I ended up with very flat, heavy brows that have aged me 5 years with pushed down upper eyelids. I'm so disappointed I have to look like this until it wears off. I wish I would've gone somewhere else this time. Two stars because they still have good customer service and prices. But the new injectors may need more training for better results. read more

As a business, I would give Clarity Skin a 5*. They have exceptional customer service and a beautiful office. The reason for a 2* review is that I paid almost $5000 for a procedure that did NOT work. On the first appointment, I met with an aesthetician to hear my options for body sculpting. I chose to go with the UltraShape body contouring because of being less invasive, "virtually painless" and fewer treatments. I paid over $4000 and wasted several hours of my time for virtually no visible change. I am very disappointed and feel cheated.
