Rika Nails is a darling little salon that stood out to me for their kind service. I watched as the owner took such care with an older client - making sure she called for her ride, watched for her pickup etc. It was obvious that she had been a regular for a while. It took a couple of months to get an appointment but once I got that first appointment it was easier to get in the calendar for my next appointment. She specializes in gel nails. I wasn't sure how I felt about gels at first but I am a believer. My nails have grown they have gotten stronger and it has been fun. I get tons of compliments on my nails. I go once every 3 - 4 weeks. Kat hand painted a '18 on one ring finger and a graduation cap on the other for my daughter's graduation. How fun! I'm looking forward to a fun red, white and blue for July (I already have ideas for Halloween and Christmas too). The cat's eye was $5 extra but totally worth it. We had a wedding to attend and my nails looks GREAT. 5 cleanliness, her place is neat and tidy, 4 service (because it was difficult to get that first appointment), 5 workmanship and look, 4 -4.5 price per value. Having to go once every 3 to 4 weeks is a pretty good price value. And I'm there for a full hour. However, when you get gel nails you cannot get the full manicure experience. This is not cats fault it's just the nature of gel nails. They have to dehydrate your nails in order for the gel to stick their for soaking and creams do not mix well with the gels. having only ever had regular manicures I was surprised my first time. I have gotten used to it. But I sure do miss the hand massages. Bottom line, give Kat's Klaws a try you won't be sorry. Treat yourself to pretty nails.
