iDeal floors did a fantastic install, in a difficult room, at an amazing price. I really couldn't be more pleased. After getting the run around at several locations: prices inexplicably raising $800 or more with no explanation. . . And just in general not funding exactly what I wanted, I wandered into iDeal floors. They have a lot of close-out material, which is really nice, as it saves a ton of money. I initially picked a natural acacia engineered hardwood on close out. I worked with Ken who came out and measured, and gave an initial estimate, it wad significantly lower than the competition. This was on a Saturday, and Ken said his team could be out on Monday to install--fantastic! Then, right as I was about to sign, I had a change of heart, and wanted a darker , stained version. Ken took it in stride, looked up the new material, and said he had to get it from another warehouse, so it would add a day. Not a problem at all--that's still so much better than some stores which were saying it could take up to 3 weeks!!! Tuesday the guys come out, they are super friendly, and radiate competence and dependability. They remove the existing floors, clean the space, and start leveling--when they hit a snag--floors are both really off level, AND they needed to be moisture sealed. The installers were really honest and really took a lot of time to show me the problems, so I didn't have to take their word for it. Eventually they worked it out so that they could complete the job, getting in their moisture guy to find a moisture barrier glue, and extra leveling. While it did cost more than we initially expected, they took the time to explain why, they also worked with me on the amount, and ultimately came in comparable to the quotes from other stores--which didn't include a moisture barrier or extra leveling. The floors are so beautiful, feel super level and the finishes and transitions are lovely. They also repaired a transition from my living room to the kitchen, which the previous owner had done incorrectly. read more

I selected a moderate grade carpet with a moderate grade pad. When they quoted the price per square foot and size of the space, which they stated in some other metric, and I had ask how many SQ ft., the math did not add up. I was over quoted by approx $400. Or an additional 35- 40%!! When I brought it to their attention, they said they made a mistake. IF I had not caught their error, I would have been way overcharged!!! Then upon install, the carpet does not feel like it has ANY pad. It is super flat feeling. They do not care about customer satisfaction. To upgrade that, I would have had to buy ALL new pad to replace for another several hundred dollars. Be careful using this place!!! Sketch. read more

We chose iDeal Floors because of their reviews. I don't want other people to make the same mistake. The initial consultation went well. After that, the salesman went on vacation and no one got back with us for almost two weeks. I finally just went in to the showroom, chose flooring, and thought we were on our way. The tile installers came out first to do our bathrooms. We thought they would do one at a time, but they tore out the toilets and the floor in both full baths, leaving us with no usable bathroom for two days. They brought a four-year-old with them to work, not because he had nowhere to go, but because he didn't want to stay with his grandma. My husband was working from home those days, trying to focus, trying to have meetings and when the four-year-old wasn't being noisy, the installers were blaring their music. Before the grout could even dry, it was cracking. Once we could walk on the floor, we realized the tiles were shifting too. And there were huge gaps between the cabinets and walls, and the tiles. Some tiles weren't even cut straight. A panel had been removed from the tub and not put back on. The sliding closet door was off. The baseboards had large gauges in them. And grout was everywhere. We asked for different installers to come out and fix the job. They agreed, then sent the same ones anyway. They did fix the tile, but now the pattern is incorrect, and there is a 2-3" hole cut out of the base of one of the cabinets by the tub. There are also 1" gaping holes under the framework around our bathroom door. If water leaks into the hole it will come straight through the downstairs ceiling. Then the carpet installers came. They were asked to please be careful, as most of the walls and all of the baseboards had been painted. The main installer proceeded to walk around pointing out scratches in the wall paint. I reiterated that most of the walls and all of the baseboards had been painted, so they should please be careful with everything. There are now chunks knocked out of our baseboards, not just scratches. Nails are exposed on the baseboards and the stairwell. Carpet was shoved underneath the molding on the stairs, causing it to lift from the wall and crack the sheetrock. Our upright piano needed to be moved about five feet. My husband asked the installers not to try and move it themselves. At the end of the day, I caught them moving it and realized that they had cracked the veneer on one corner of the lid. The installer proceeded to tell me it was already like that. I have dusted that piano for 20 years, I would have noticed if the veneer were cracked. I should have known things would not go well when I caught them dragging a metal file cabinet across my new tile floor with no furniture pads. Because the tile installers had to redo the entire job and no one at iDeal Floors returns texts or phone calls in a timely manner, we were put back at least a month on our project. This has caused us to have to pay an extra month on our storage Pod. Not to mention all the repairs we now have to make because the installers damaged so many things. The products at iDeal Floors are good, everything else is a nightmare. Do not use them! read more

Their job performance was sub par at best. There are spaces in the laminate flooring and the caulking job looks like a 10 year old did it. We prepaid to have a scratch fixed, they didn't show up for the scheduled appointment and haven't responded to my phone calls or emails.
