    Onion & Tomato Uthappam
    Shailesh M.

Great go-to place when in mall! Specially kids have the cone dosa and ghee idly that makes it more special!! The Mumbai pav bhaji is the best and this time tried the onion tomato uthapam and that was very nice but little bit thicker. Overall a great place and service and ambience is very good!! Must visit !!

Samosas that everyone started gobbling even before I could take a pic!

We love ID Cafe for a quick Indian snack. Their Filter coffee is so good! We usually get their Onion Samosas, Masala Dosa and enjoy it with a cup of their masala chai tea or Filter Coffee. Heavenly! The dessert here that we find the most unique and exquisite is the Cocoa Mysore Pak with Chikoo (Sapadilla) ice cream. SO GOOD! Seating, ambience and vibe is very casual. Service is usually prompt and attentive. We highly recommend ID Cafe, IMHO it is guaranteed to satisfy your South Indian food cravings!

I decided to order from them when visiting the Stoneridge Shopping Center. We got the beyond karaikudi dosa (vegan) and the tikka fries. Beyond karaikudi dosa: It is described as their famous karaikudi style dosa made with ground beyond meat vegan protein, onions, tomatoes and coriander. It was quite a bit spicier than I expected since it supposedly did not have peppers (I am weak to spice, unfortunately). It came with 4 sauces, green one was cilantro, the red orange one was spicy, not sure what the tan one was exactly, and the other orange one was more soupy but was not spicy. Tikka fries: This was really good, savory, I loved the tikka flavor and the fries are thin but crispy. It didn't take long for food to be prepared, and I appreciate that they have quite a few outdoor tables.

I always forget to take a picture of the food but man this place is amazing i got at least twice a week. Honestly some of the nicest and coolest staff ive had the pleasure of talking to. The ambiance is really nice inside, plenty of seating. I always get togo and their togo setup is probably the best ive seen, and my dosa always comes out of it wonderful Edit: I got a picture this time! This togo boxing is truly top notch!

This was an OK visit. I found the food way too spicy and struggled through half of it. The others in the party felt the same way.

Great fusion food! If you're in the area and want some comfort food but with unique flavors this is the place the check out. Unlimited sambhar and chutney is always welcome! The restaurant is in a mall so perfect for a little break during a shopping session!

Found this nice little place while we were shopping at Stoneridge mall. We haven't have dosas for a long time and this place definitely checks all the boxes. Decent portions and very good prices, makes this a very good (and healthy) lunch option. We had the Combo 6 and the Mumbai Jini Dosa. Both of them were packed of flavor. The masala dosa has a milder taste while the Mumbai Jini Dosa's packs a punch in terms of spice and flavor. The only but were the bathrooms, your shoes feel sticky when you walk in there, which is a sign to clean your bathrooms

One of the best items here is their Bombay Jini Dosa. We also have tried Cone Dosa and Filter Coffee. Idly and Medu Vada Combos are also great. Dont miss their Vijaywada Paneer Dosa too.

Food was okay but service is pretty bad. Waitstaff never makes eye contact with customers so you have to literally stand up and flag them down. No specific instructions on anything. Left sitting at my table for almost 10 minutes only to learn that one is expected to walk up to the front to pay. Then there was the ridiculous interaction when I pointed at my empty glass and asked for some more diet coke. The guy said, do you want to refill or do you want a new diet coke? I said, I'd like a refill please. He says, I'm sorry we don't do refills. Then there are the sick customers. I was literally sitting at a booth surrounded by three families who were violently hacking and coughing. No one was covering their mouth. All in all this was a very unpleasant dining experience. I won't be back. They're getting two stars not one because the food tasted okay. I'm wishing I had eaten at California Pizza kitchen, right across the sidewalk.

Stoneridge Mall has been my go-to shopping center for decades and we were craving Indian food for dinner while doing some returns. We sat down at a booth (it was pretty empty inside) and struggled throughout our whole meal to get a waiter's attention. We ended up trying the idly 65 (my boyfriend did not like this at all and wouldn't recommend it), potato samosas (I didn't like the dough here), a masala dosa which I enjoyed, and a mango lassi which was hands down the best mango lassi I've ever had. Every time we stop by Stoneridge, I now ask for a mango lassi to go.

Shalimar serves authentic Pakistani and Indian food. The atmosphere here is casual and unassuming. It's an open eatery with community tables and chairs on both sides of the tables. There are also booths and benches for those who need some privacy. This canteen-style eatery focuses on food. You order and pay at the counter. They get your name, and your order is served fresh and piping hot. Everyone ordered something different: Tandoori Chicken, Fresh Baked Naan, Goat Biryani, Fish, Okra, Goat Karahi, Biryani Rice, and several other dishes. The dishes were placed in the middle of the long table and we all got to taste everyone's food. Every dish was flavourful and the seasoning on each dish was on-point. Their naan is baked daily - and you can taste the freshness of the bread. The vibe was strong because it's been an absolute age since we last met up. All nine of us picked up where we left off. As we filled our plates with delicious eats, conversation flowed while we joked and ate. The short reunion came to an end when Shalimar breaks for two hours before it opens again for dinner. We bade goodbye as we went our separate ways. Until the next chapter...

We came here on a Sunday at 5PM with a party of 4 to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. We were…read morethe only party there when we arrived, and there were only about 3 tables total by the time we left, so it definitely felt empty for a weekend evening. First, the interior is beautiful. Whoever redid the old Coco Cabana space did an incredible job- every detail took my breath away. Dublin doesn't have many restaurants this upscale/chic, so it was a nice change of pace. The menu pulls from all different regions of India and plates everything in a really modern, elevated way. Our favorites were the pappad, chicken saoji, butter chicken, garlic naan, and payasam. What we ordered: - Papdi chaat (tableside, $42): So fun and unique to watch them make it tableside, and it tasted good, but $42 for a bowl of chaat felt steep. Realistically I'd pay $27-28 for this. The frozen yogurt in dry ice was a cool visual but honestly it would've tasted better as regular yogurt. - 3 types of chicken tikka masala ($22): Everyone else liked it but I thought the chicken was nothing special. Portion-wise, best for 2 people. It was awkward to cut each of the 3 flavors of chicken thigh into portions. - Pappad and chutney ($14): I LOVE papad with tamarind chutney and their basket had a nice variety of papad. Definitely recommend this one. - Laal Maas ($38): Didn't try it myself but heard it was extremely spicy and the goat was overly fatty. Wouldn't recommend based on the feedback from the table. - Chicken saoji ($34): Chicken and egg in a thick coconut sauce- a crowd pleaser, great if you love coconut curry. - Butter chicken ($32): I liked this a lot. Paired with their garlic naan (some of the best garlic naan I've ever had), it is crazy together. - Payasam ($15): My father-in-law's favorite item of the night similar to kheer seviyan with crispy fried vermicelli mixed into rice pudding. So, so good. We've been to upscale Indian restaurants in the Bay that have disappointed with beautiful interiors and lackluster food. Overall this was some of the best upscale Indian food we've had in the Bay, and the interior is genuinely gorgeous...but let's talk about the elephant in the room: this restaurant is in a Safeway shopping complex in suburban Dublin, nearby a Dave's Hot Chicken. It's a strange juxtaposition for a spot charging these prices. We spent $400 for 4 people, and while every dish was well-executed, the setting made it hard to justify fine-dining-level pricing. We also dined in a mostly empty restaurant on a weekend evening with club/house music playing throughout, which added to the disconnect between the price point and the actual experience. 5 stars for food and interior, but knocking off a star because the fine dining price tag doesn't match the suburban plaza setting.

Pakora of live chaat trays as so cold plus very hard to bite. Khaman dhokla added to it, was not nicely cooked. Attached some pictures here for presentation view.
