First place I started getting haircuts at in Austin! Cheap and gets the job done always! Matt is my guy for haircuts. Knows what looks good. Also have gotten some threading done, and Rupa does a good job! Always coming back! read more

Rupa at Iclips has been threading my eyebrows for years and she always does a wonderful job!

I may be just about the pickiest person in the world when it comes to threading my eyebrows, but having them done in the ATX is a bit pricey so I decided to try Iclips. You could tell the technician (I believe her name was Dao) that did my eyebrows was new to threading because she took a bit longer and then had to tweeze a lot of the hairs that she missed the first time around. NO COMPLAINTS though because once she finished, my eyebrows looked like if I had went and gotten them done at a Pakistani salon. Definitely recommend going there! And it's cheap which is ALWAYS a plus. read more

Lady who did my eyebrows was incredible! She spent extra time giving me a massage with aloe because I was stressed from my physiology exam. Highly recommend! read more

I can only attest to the eyebrow threading as I have not used any of their other services but I can tell you she did an amazing job! She was quick and thorough and listened to my requests and met my expectations fully. Did I also mention that eyebrow threading was only $10? :D This place can't be beat! read more

For a gel mani- I would give it zero stars if that were an option. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the woman that did my nails but it was hands down the worst gel mani I've ever gotten. I travel monthly so I get them done all of the country and have never had such a bad one. Got them done 20 minutes ago and it looks like I have a weeks worth of grown. She didn't paint anywhere near the cuticle. Barely clipped the cuticles! And honestly it looks like a child painted them. Sloppy! So disappointed and a waste of time. Go elsewhere. read more

they are affordable - no nonsense - but do as good a job as all those fluffy, big-talking places. these ladies have lots of experience ... and know what they are doing. AND - they don't rush you. if i want coffee and fancy vittles, i'll buy it. i just want a decent cut and this places works fine (and i've sent others to them). yes - parking is difficult -- but it is true for even trying to grab a sandwich in the area. it IS the UT Drag, after all. EYEBROW THREADING .... I couldn't begin to tell you enough good things about Dao. i've been threading eyebrows for about 20 years ... and she is EXCELLENT and again, does NOT rush through ...and is METICULOUS! it makes all the difference. read more

I had my brows done here for the first time earlier this week. The woman did a really nice job shaping them, and while I don't get threaded super often, I do feel like it was less painful than other times I've had it done. The price, at $10, was also really reasonable. (I think it might be $9 if you pay with cash, though.) I went around lunchtime on a weekday, and they were able to take me immediately - yay! I was able to walk over, but like most of the other businesses on the drag, parking is pretty limited. read more

Rupa does a wonderful and detailed job for eyebrow threading. She also does it quickly and gently, so the process is quick and fairly painless. read more

Love this place! Nini is an awesome hair stylist and knows exactly what I want. Been going here for 3 years and we always have great conversations. Great attention to detail as well! read more

I've been getting my haircut with Matt for awhile now. I use to go to Sassoon and Silk cuts up North Austin. But compared to Matt and his skills. He was the better pick. He's on point with the haircuts. And you can't beat his price! Especially being on west campus. Many of my friends go to him too. Overall I always feel welcome and I always come out feeling fresh and clean. read more

I have been going to get my haircuts here since my sophomore year of college and I regret not coming sooner. Matt is able to cut your hair to what you exactly want or even better than what you even want too. Appreciate the time and effort he puts into each haircut and client he talks to. read more

I've been coming for the past 7 years and this place has always been AMAZING. The price is good and the staff is nice - they've become like family to me after so many visits. I highly recommend it! read more

in my humble opinion, this is the best hairdresser in Austin .. A very clean place, respectful staff and attention to details of the hairstyle .. I highly recommend .. very good price for Austin read more

I never thought I could get someone to cut my hair so well close to UT as I'm so used to my barber back home. However Matt always does a fabulous job and consistently gives me a great cut. read more

Still 5 stars because of VALUE and QUALITY of work. Great job for gel nails here. This time I saw Matt. I've paid double for a job not nearly as beautifully-crafted. Matt, who was very nice, was busy when I first arrived and like the other yelper, I, too had the gal who just prepped me who hurt me and didn't say sorry- they need to teach her about that- but I say ask for Dao or Matt and you cannot go wrong for gel nails. They take drop ins but I'd schedule an appointment to get the person you want. This will be my go-to gel nail spot, henceforth! read more

It's what you expect for a little salon on guad. They do AMAZING eyebrow threading for only $8 and they do just fine on split end trims for broke college girls. Definitely not a luxurious spa or anything but if you need something cheap and convenient I 100% recommend iclips. I have no complaints read more

This is my second place to try in Austin. I was fine with the finished product (a polish change on my toes,) but the atmosphere was so weird. I felt like I'd just interrupted a strange family get together. It's teeny tiny small, there was a loud game show on the television, it was pretty hot in there... basically I've never been to a less relaxing salon in my life. As far as color selection, I wound up getting french because their Essie/OPI choices were pretty limited (and the bottles they did have seemed dated.) Also, I don't know why this is tagged as inexpensive? I paid $12, pre-tip, which I would say is definitely average. read more

New favorite nail salon :) conveniently located right next to campus!

I will never get my eyebrows threaded anywhere else again! IT'S ONLY 10 BUCKS! Threading is such a better experience on my sensitive skin than waxing. The ladies always seem happy to see you when you walk through the door. It's a quick in and out service that I will use as long as I am in Austin. Go get threaded! read more

I've been here a few times, and it's typically a decent experience. But, I got my eyebrows threaded here yesterday and will never go back. The woman who did them was VERY aggressive - she was literally hitting my face to move it and my hand around instead of just telling me to put my hand down when she was ready. It cost $8 for threading and my eyebrows are way too thin now. Horrible experience. read more

The fabulous Jenny from Mane Express is working here now (I think the ownership of the two salons is somehow related). She really has a gift. I get better cuts from her than from people who charge three times as much, and Jenny's cuts always grow out really well. I can go more than ten weeks before my hair starts needing attention. I have short, curly hair and she does just as good a job on a co-worker with super fine, super straight, shoulder-length hair, and I've seen guys leaving her chair looking great as well. They don't take appointments, but it's definitely worth going by to see if she's available, and she's very quick so if a couple people are ahead, the wait wouldn't be terribly long. I always enjoy chatting with her, too. Having difficult hair, I've tried lots of different hairdressers in my life, and Jenny is in my top two. read more

It's 2015 and there are more threading spots in Austin now. If you have hella thin hair, go to this place. If you have thick hair, don't go. All they do is a hella minor job of threading and then tweeze you for like ten minutes. I was never impressed with my service or the end result and will never go back. If you have blonde white girl eyebrows, then I'm sure this place will be it for you. If you are in the thick hair club, move on. read more

I dropped by yesterday afternoon to wax my eyebrows and upper lip. It was my first time getting them done out of the place I usually go to so I was a little nervous. Anyhow, I walked in, told them what I wanted and was tended to immediately. The waxing room wasn't too professional-looking but I actually liked that since it made me feel comfortable. The woman who helped me out got the job done quickly and made nice conversation. My face came out looking nice and clean which is what I always like. Plus, $15 total is cheaper than what I'm used to, so that was great! I will definitely be back again :) read more

When I get my eyebrows threaded at other places the person threading usually shapes them (along w/ cleaning them up) and I didn't get that shaping here. My friend came along and got just her bangs cut and she says they did an average job. The woman who cut her hair was very nice. read more

This place is dirty, and dusty. Nothing in this place seemed sterile. My manicurist was rough with my hands and did not talk the entire experience. I thought the women there were silent, and rude. When I got home, my standard manicure latest less than 3 days. Not only that, but my left thumbnail bed became mysteriously painful - possibly infected. There is no way you could ever drag me to this business again. STAY FAR AWAY! read more

The service was great and I loved the pedicure chairs, but the pedicure itself lasted less than a week. Maybe it was just a fluke but I won't go back. Most of my pedicures last for a month at least! read more

OUCH! Just had my eyebrows scalped, I mean threaded. Whoa, felt like I was completed violated. The staff was not friendly, they were rough, parking was a pain and dare I say this place was dirty (yuck!). Thought it would be worth the drive from downtown to check out an affordable place that does eyebrow threading. Unfortunately, my search continues...sigh. read more

I thought the price of twenty six dollars was not too bad. I got there at 430 and it took two hours for them to just do a pedicure and color my nails. I figured it would only take one hour but I did not know I needed an appointment. I went there because I was in the neighborhood. the manicurist was friendly but had to stop so she could thread and wax people's eyebrows. One of my toes refused to cooperate and i finally had to tell them I was in a rush so I got to go under the nail dryer. The nails look good, but don't know if I would make a special trip there again. read more

I was in town for work and wanted to get my toes done and eyebrows waxed. At 6pm on a Monday there weren't too many options, so I went to iclips. Globally it was a fine experience and not too expensive. My only comment would be rergarding the owner (manager?) and the staff interaction. They were having a staffing issue/dispute in front of me and another customer and it was rather awkward for the patrons. Also it sure felt like the pedicure guy was flirting with and trying to pick up on the young co-eds. Maybe they didn't realize it or care, just a bit too obvious. But my eyebrows and toes look good and I got to read a trashy magazine and veg out for an hour or so. In my world that is priceless! read more

Thank you Jasmine and Rupa for beautifying me at the last minute! I got shellac, toe color change and lower leg wax. You guys rock!

I've been coming to this shop for the past four years or so, and I've always been pleased with the quality of work here. Threading: Although I don't get my eyebrows threaded anymore, I used to come here once a month to get them touched up. (One bad experience with tweezing my own and I vowed never to let myself touch them.) Rupa does an amazing (and quick!) job with eyebrows. If you have a personal preference (for example, I prefer mine clean and thick), let her know beforehand, and she will gladly accommodate your request. Haircut: I usually get my haircut done with Matt. He's the only male hair stylist in the shop, so he shouldn't be hard to miss. Awesome work, as always. Fades are always well-faded, and he often has good suggestions if you don't know exactly what to do with your hair. As for waits, there can be times when there's high traffic (e.g., students coming back from classes). In those cases, you may have to wait an hour to get a haircut, but the end result is worth it. (Just don't come Thursdays and Fridays; that's when I usually go, heh.) I can't rate their work on nails, since I've never gone here to have them done, but everything else is sound. read more

Hi, I recently moved to Austin from Las Vegas, and based on good reviews of this place by other yelpers, I gave Iclips a try when I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows threaded. I took the bus there, so parking wasn't a problem for me. The building was clean, and the wait was minimal, and most importantly, the lady that did my eyebrows did a great job! About to head back now for my repeat visit! Price was only $10! I would definately recommend this place to people! read more

Searching for your first haircut in a new city can be daunting to say the least. I chose Iclips because the great Yelp reviews. I was a little nervous because most of the reviewers were women so I was unsure of their experience with cutting men's hair. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised. This was possibly the best haircut I've ever had, my stylist was patient and listened to what I wanted (unfortunately I don't remember her name). I encourage men and women alike to give them a try! read more

I needed to get my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. I haven't found another place nearby and since I live and go to school right up the road I figured I would give it a shot, plus there seems to be a decent amount of good reviews on here. I didn't schedule an appointment or anything, walked in and was able to be seen within a few minutes. The woman was very nice and incredibly thorough. My eyebrows haven't been shaped this well in a long time. She made sure she didn't miss anything. For my eyebrows and lip it was $18 so not bad. The place itself wasn't that nice, but it gets the job done. I will definitely go back again. read more

The manicure and pedicure were decent, they have good deals. Kind of miffed, however, because I'm a student and cheap and went there because there was a giant sign in the door that says they accept bevo bucks. When I say giant, I mean giant. Although I'm not a tall person (5'0"), the sign was about half my size. When I went to pay they said they didn't accept bevo bucks.... So. read more

I got an acrylic set here and they look so good!! The woman who did my nails was super sweet and made sure I liked everything. She made everything even and neat and so pretty!!! read more

I am not one to write reviews but this place is so great, I just had to share :) I commute back and forth between Dallas and Austin for my sales job and needed to find a quality nail & hair place that also had reasonable pricing. Well this is it! This past weekend I stopped in for a mani/pedi and a haircut ( more of a trim to shape up my layers). Both my hairdresser and nail person were friendly and professional. They weren't chatty or sloppy like other places I've been to. The place was bright and clean, and they also have a TV hanging on the back wall to keep you occupied while you wait or get your mani/ pedi done. I would definitely be a regular if I lived in Austin! See you in a couple weeks iclips!! read more

See all

Coming here was a great, quick, easy experience. And inexpensive! Which was the main draw for me. I have demands, in the form of curly, unruly hair and a small bank account. I'm not sure how to spell her name, but Rosia (pronounced Rahzia) was wonderful, she has obviously been cutting hair for quite some time, and can cut long, layered, curly hair wet, which not a lot of stylists at uber expensive salons can even do. I walked in at 2:10, was seated about 2:20 (waited for her to wrap up a young man's haircut), and was back at my car by 2:55 only out $22. That's all. Great, right? $17 for the haircut, and a $5 tip. I wanted to give more, but she seemed very appreciative anyway. Such a nice woman, that doesn't have to know your life story as other stylists I've had. Just in and out, good, honest, quality service. A+. If you're looking for an inexpensive haircut (even if you have curls that are a crucial part of your appearance, like me), give these folks your business. read more

Amazing place for Beauty. The stylists there take care of you and give tips about treatment. And give recommendations for your new style.
