Been going here for years for eyebrow threading and I couldn't love it more- everyone on staff is equally welcoming, sweet, and skilled.

I've been to this place a few times throughout the years, and when Saru was there I liked going to her, but the last few times I have gotten Anita and I have regretted it. Anita is very nice but she lacks attention to detail because every time she has done my eyebrows, they always look so uneven and it takes everything in me to not walk out. Well today was the last time I will be coming here. I had grown out my brows and came in to get a clean up/trim and she completely changed the shape of one of my brows AND made one higher than the other. Just look at the picture below. read more

First of all, I haven't come here since Sabbu left. I tried this place out again simply out of convenience. I thought to myself, how bad can they mess up my eyebrows. WELL, they did. My eyebrows were pretty grown out, meaning they could have shaped them nicely if they wanted to. The lady in the right chair didn't even bother to clean out my brows after threading--no plucking extra hair with tweezers and no aloe vera gel. I understand not every strand of hair will be removed, but she left a lot of obvious hairs behind. The work that was done was sloppy. Now to the part that really took me back. In the process of paying, I only had cash on me: three five-dollar bills and a 1. My total was 10, so no brainer gave her two 5's and a dollar tip. I didn't like my eyebrows or the service. The person cashing me out proceeds to question my choice of tip amount. I told her I don't have more change, so she pretty much pressures me into giving her my other bill to make more change. Expecting I leave her more even though her work was sloppy, and I walked out of there unhappy with my eyebrows. Ladies, I learned a lesson today. Never cheat on your eyebrow lady, and if you want bomb ass brows and amazing service, my girl Sabbu out at Catchy & Classy brows will not disappoint. read more

I used to love this place but I went this past Friday and had a TERRIBLE experience. The woman was rushing because there was a line of people, but she missed several spots. When I walked in, the woman threading brows was wearing gloves so I felt reassured. But then she took that client's payment and handled cash and didn't change her gloves after. Then she took the next client and only sanitized her gloves. Same thing again, she took THAT client's payment, this time a credit card, and didn't change gloves again. When it was my turn I politely asked her to change gloves but all she did was take them off and sanitized her hands. I think it's so important for salons to effectively use PPE. The woman threading did a good job on my brows but I didn't feel comfortable at all being in that space. I was so distracted by her not using gloves correctly that I felt my experience was ruined. I want to give 0 or 1 stars but my brows came out well. I just wish she would have changed gloves!!! Literally that's all I ask. It would have made me feel much better and safe. read more

This is by far my favorite place to get my eyebrows threaded. I discovered them my freshman year of college and have gone back ever since. Their place is always clean with plenty of waiting seats available. Do not come here. I went to get a clean up on my brows and the only lady there insisted on also threading my forehead, didn't ask if I wanted it done, and went ahead and did it. She literally took off chunks of my hairline on my forehead and left me with 3 bald spots that make my hairline extremely uneven. With my brows, she took the tail off my left brow and it's so much shorter than the right. She also trimmed too much off the length of my brow hairs and it looks awful. $20 for brows and the forced forehead threading. It's not easy to grow back brow hair, or even hairline hair properly. This is my go-to eyebrow place. I always leave satisfied. They are SO NICE. At other eyebrow places, they over-shape to make you come back but not here. They'll maintain your shape if you ask and are just seriously the nicest people. It's not painful and they talk you through if you've never gotten your eyebrows threaded. This is the second time I got my eyebrows threaded but the first time getting them done at this location. First time I got my eyebrows threaded I was on vacation in Georgia. I liked the results so I set out finding a place here in Austin. My roommate recommended it because she had a good experience AND they have a $4 dollar groupon. (Normal price is $8 for eyebrows). It's a new location in the plaza with Planet Fitness. The side of the plaza that's behind the Chevron station. The place is super clean and it was busy. They only had one woman working. Pro tip: When you come in, you sign in at the iPad on the counter. You select your services so you know going in how much it's going to cost. It tells the the approximate wait time and, if there was more than one attendant, you could select which one you want. I popped in, saw that it was busy, and decided to come back later. When I came back a few hours later I was 4th in line. I probably waited 15-20 mins which didn't feel terrible. They have the tv on, good magazines, and I have my phone. I got my eyebrows and chin done. The chin was good but not as fantastic as the eyebrows. Because it was only me, the attendant Shamira (Shamiru?) gave me a light face massage which felt nice. I got up and my eyebrows were amazing. She did a better job then the first person who did them back in GA. She even fixed my janky right eyebrow. All in all, I highly recommend. Horrible I don't know what her name is but she's the one who is always rude. You can tell when you walk in. On top of that, she's so careless with the threading in the process and doesn't care about how you feel ON TOP OF THAT SHE STOLE $6 FROM ME I was supposed to pay $38 and I showed her a coupon and it said 25% off so I was supposed get $2 off threading for students but they claimed it's only for first timers even though I always use it here. And then she changed her said and said ok it's ok. I gave her a $50 bill and she gave me back $8. Hello are you stupid or are you stealing my money? So the girls here do great threading and it's under $10 which is super nice. However, they are very aggressive in weird ways. They have literally yelled at me "you pay NOW!" -when I haven't gotten my wallet out fast enough. I don't know if they thought I wasn't going to pay? But I've been coming there for a while so I'm not sure why they would think that. Also sometimes they run specials, and they'll send you a text. Every time I come in for the special, they immediately change their demeanor and are very unpleasant again - like visibly upset that I'm using the special. Why are you sending out a special if you're going to be upset when someone comes in? I hope the owner knows about this now and talks to the ladies. They should really be less mean to customers. read more

Pros: Saru was really quick, very thorough, and very caring throughout the threading process. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years, so I expected it to be a lot more painful, but I felt no pain. Cons: So a few days after the threading I started getting some acne around my brows. I never get any acne, so I'm not sure where this came from. I'm attributing it to the threading. I'll try this place again, but if the acne comes back after the second time, I'll know where it came from Notes: 1. No issues with parking 2. Have cash. I've been going here for over a year. I tip well, and their service is decent. Today was my worse experience. They close at 7. I came in around 6:45 and was told they're closed. I say, but the door is open; and the lady says "yeah but we have more to do." Where I'm from, if you come in before the close time, you receive your desired service. If I'm able to open the door to your business, you are open. Needless to say, due to this terrible customer service, I will not be returning. Ever. This was EXTREMELY unacceptable. read more

Where do I start? Ever since moving to Austin, I've been in search of the best place to get my brows threaded. Happy to say I finally found it! Each time I go in (about every 2-3 weeks), I'm greeted with kindness, and leave feeling like a princess! Pretty much a no brainer, considering their already competitive prices. Saru has been the one to primarily do my brows, and she is excellent at what she does! Any time another gal does them, I am still met with beautiful results. I love this place, and trust anyone in here with my eyebrows. Prior places have taken off nearly most of my brows, but the gals at Hollywood always listen to my "just a trim and light shape" requests. For someone who has beaver-like eyebrows, this is HUGE!
