No nonsense bar with pretty good food. Ordered an omelette. Food came quickly and was good. Not gourmet, but it was hot, flavorful and the price was great. Had the omelette with toast and potatoes and coffee. A friend had pancakes with eggs and sausage and had something to drink, all for about $33. Ickabod's is myneighborhood restaurant / bar. It's a chill spot to grab a drink and grab some breakfast/lunch/dinner. I always get the Chicken Fried Steak with Hasbrown and Eggs but they have weekly and weekend specials that people love. Do like there fried pickles. The staff that works there has always been friendly and nice. Service has always been good. Ambiance is dark, laid back and you can tell alot of locals hang out at this spot. First of all, I NEVER write reviews, good or bad. I have passed by this place hundreds of times the past decade or 2. The name is what stood out but I never made it in until recently. In the past 3 months or so I have been a handful of times since I moved within a 10 minute walk from this place. The food and service have always been amazing. Ickabod's just has a way of defying expectations. Years ago, a friend recommended we meet here because their drinks were well made and reasonably priced. Having never been inside, I expected this to fit the Dark Cave Dive Bar category, and was surprised to find a well lit, clean joint run by very friendly folks. It was a classic "don't judge a book by its cover" experience. That book cover even got a fresh new look a few years back, and a great little patio area was added. Still, over the course of several years, in spite of them having a full menu, I'd never tried their food. When Covid led to the spring shutdowns, we decided to finally give it a shot via takeout. Once more, my expectations were exceeded, and we've returned a few times since. Burgers - good. Patty Melt - better. Ribs - even better. But the winner for me so far are their dry rub fried chicken wings, which need to be offered by the bucket. Point being, as we go in and out of shutdowns, if you've ever thought of Icky's as just a bar up until now, show them some love and take them up on their takeout game. read more

My husband and I discovered this amazing family owned gem mid pandemic, and have since been coming in for breakfast weekly, at least. Breakfast food is always great, and the team tries to accommodate requests as much as possible. Have not yet ordered something I didn't love. The real reason however that keeps us coming back is the amazing staff! We've been fortunate to develop awesome relationships with everyone we've had the pleasure to be served by. Although they are frequently extremely busy, each and every person makes a point to take time to catch up, tell jokes, and make sure you have everything you need. Great bar in Beaverton. While I love seeing all the new restaurants coming into downtown Beaverton, it is nice to see this institution still going. Hood place to watch a game, have a beer and whisky, and enjoy the really friendly service. I hear their burgers are good but haven't tried them yet. read more

A solid 4. Pretty clean, nice staff. Prices are decent and food is a step up from your typical greasy spoon bar food. Beer prices are fair. I've been here a few times and tried different things. I was recently dared to try the Greek Salad. It was kind of small and expensive ($11) but it was seriously delicious. I'd give in and get it again. We went here on a Saturday for brunch. Nice clean, modern spot. Couple of TVs with sports and news on. A couple pool tables were available too. Reasonable brunch prices. I am so glad this bar/restaurant is still operating during covid! It's such a great place all around whether you want to meet up friends and enjoy great drinks and food or just go there solo to just chill with a drink or two. Customer service is taken seriously here and I feel like I just want to keep coming back because of it. All the employees are super friendly and the guy that wears the black hat is impressively great at his job. He seems to bring a certain level of professionalism to the place.
