My best friend has been raving about Ichabod's to me for some time, and she and I went there once for a drink a few months ago. But since we had already eaten, I didn't get to try the food on that occasion. Recently, my boyfriend and I went there for a date night and had dinner. Our server was extremely nice and helpful. She gave us all sorts of suggestions, and also highly recommended we go there sometime for brunch as they have an in house baker. My boyfriend got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was definitely the best of our dishes. Loved the batter of the fried chicken, and the sauce was great. The onions rings were spectacular, too! I got the purist mac and cheese and a cup of mushroom soup. The soup was full of flavor and tasted gourmet; it wasn't your average cream of mushroom soup by any means. The only issue we had was that both of my dishes were barely warm. Maybe they were sitting out for awhile, probably waiting for my boyfriend's food to come out. I waited a bit for a waiter to come by so I could ask for them to be heated, and ended up getting hungry while watching my boyfriend eat. I ended up stealing some of his, and I'm glad I did bc as I said, his meal was great! Eventually someone came over and heated it. One suggestion I'd like to make is that I would love to see more non alcoholic beers on the menu. We quit drinking a few years ago, but I still love a good beer...just sans alcohol. There are some excellent non alcoholic beers being made ( surprisingly), such as from Weinstephaner. Lots of great German breweries are offering NA beers, and some excellent sour beers from the states worth trying. Ichabod's only has one NA beer and it's not great. All in all, had my food been hot I would be giving this place 5 stars because as far as bar food goes, it was very good, and the server was amazing. We plan on going back soon and I'll update my review to include how our meal was. I also look forward to trying brunch sometime, as well as their crème brûlée! read more

Absolutely loved our dining experience here at Ickabods. A local establishment for 40 years. Leslie and Bonnie are owners here and Mayu is a server related to them by marriage. She took our order and was very sweet. Our meals were fresh, bountiful and beautiful on the plate. They tasted so good too. I really can't wait to come back and try other entrees including the roasted pear and chicken. I opted for the turkey avocado bacon this time. The bacon was cooked so perfect and nicely spread across the sandwich. I couldn't ask for a more tasty sandwich. My partner had the Bleu cheese burger and we were both so full at the end. I'll definitely be back. This is such a gem of a local business. Definitely try it if you're visiting Oregon or if you're a local that hasn't visited. It's 21 and over so no children here, relax and enjoy the company of your friends, family or just have a nice convo with Leslie. You'll love it here either way. They have plenty of viewing options as well, I seen supernatural on one of the tvs . read more

Told them we had a group with 10 people, they said no problem. Sat us at a table with not enough seats so we had to move tables ourselves. Took over 30min to take our drink order. After that, we all sat with empty drinks another 45min... Pretty disappointing. Follow up: owner reached out to address service issues. Much appreciated. read more

Order breakfast delivery this weekend. The food was yummy and well made. The Ickabod Benedict was flavorful, especially the greens. Would order again for dine in because of the egg and hollandaise does not travel well but they packaged separate which was appreciated. The breakfast potatoes were crispy but we order country and home fries and then same ones were in each package. Gravy on the chicken fried steak was flavorful and standard pancake/waffle. Will be eating there again. read more

Food was great, wait staff was awesome, and everything was so clean, even the bathrooms. I would definitely go back for break

Ickabods is a friendly neighborhood sports bar located in downtown Beaverton. They open every day at 9am. The menu offers breakfast items till 1pm along with a lunch/ dinner menu. This is a 21 and over only establishment that offers on site video lottery. Ickabods is a family owned and operated business established in 1979. A friend and I recently visited Ickabods for a relaxing breakfast and cocktails. Our Bloody Marys were tasty and good enough for seconds. I ordered the eggs benedict made vegetarian. The chef kindly substituted avocado for the meat. I would love to see more vegetarian items such as a veggie burger on the menu. My friend ordered the chicken fried steak and pronounced it the best around. Service was prompt and friendly. Before leaving, we had the pleasure of meeting the delightful owner Bonnie who is 87 years young. She has a warm and sparkling personality. Chatting with her was like talking to a dear friend. I highly recommend Ickabods! read more

Was in the area so I decided to give it a shot for breakfast. Not a super fancy menu but breakfast doesn't always need to be fancy! I got a ham and cheese omelette with country potato's, and the potato's were absolutely fantastic. Didn't have a chance to try a fun cocktail (just went with a screwdriver) but next time I'm in the area I hope to try one read more

Great food at reasonable prices. Fast and friendly service. Clean space. They are rightfully proud of their new cauliflower appetizer. In a lot of ways it reminds me of Gustav's in LO (acoustics and physical room are very friendly for your elders, quality food appreciated by all, positive locally-owned vibe). But I shouldn't have assumed wine prices off the food and beer prices and should have asked what a glass of wine cost when it wasn't listed. I was guessing in the $9-12 range with their food prices and their beer in normal pint cost range and didn't want to be gauche and ask. Call me captain gauche from now on: $22 for a glass of generic pinot gris. My dumb ass ordered two. $44 later, I'll happily go back for takeout or weekday lunch, but they're out of budget as a bar or Friday lunch spot. read more

All five of us were so pleased with our menu choices. For starters, the sweet Korean Cauliflower was perfectly tasty. Then, the *best* wedge salad I've ever had in my life (wow!!). The Chicken Curry soup was fabulous and the Roasted Pear & Chicken sandwich was beyond delectable. Top it all off, the service was so attentive. All of us enjoyed our meal and we can't wait to return, the next time we're in Beaverton. :) read more

They're right, the pickle chips are delicious. Not greasy at all, plenty to share. We also tried a giant fried seafood platter that was also delicious. Their sauces are homemade and so tasty. They just called the one a green salsa but it was extra special. Lovely wait staff. Quiet atmosphere, perfect for chatting with friends. Will return. read more

What a great spot with a very long history! The staff and ownership are really friendly and accommodating. Ask them anything, and I think you'll be happy! The food was really tasty...try the biscuits and gravy. Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the Spanish Coffee will have me returning soon! Give this place a try for game day...lots of TVs. read more

This place exceeded my expectations. At first, I was turned off because it had a drinking bar vibe (which I'm usually not a fan of) but the food was pretty great! Also, the service was good, too! I got the Tavern Burger w/ Cheddar Cheese + fries! This was excellent (bread was soft, the meat to condiment to veggies ratio was spot on). We also got the Deep Fried Pickle Chips and the Mac & Cheese as appetizers (I recommend those as well). Lastly, this place serves Coca-Cola products, which if you're familiar with my reviews, is always a win for me. My wife and I will definitely come back! read more

This place is a Beaverton institution! Owner Bonnie, has seen a lot during her 44 years of owning this establishment, and she s weathered the storms. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and will guide you to the right drink and food. Since they're remodel a couple of years ago, you now have a mix of old time regulars, newcomers, and hipsters. Always a great crowd when you come in. There's plenty of tv's, and on Sundays they show all football games, so you're never missing your favorite team. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor as well. And finally, they have plenty of food. This is not Sysco type food either. This is legit, making food when ordered food. Homemade chili, soups, desserts, etc. PLUS, they do a great brunch as well. Stop by and see them! You won't be disappointed!! read more

We've been driving by this place for years on the way to sushi or Korean but decided to mix things up and try something new. Ordered 2 drinks, a club sandwich and a burger. Horrible service looks like this ladies stop in the 70's not idea what's trending nothing new. Food mediocre ambiance non existing.

It's been a while I've been here and their menu has changed which is understandable. I had their bacon burger and I loved the previous version. The bun was over toasted vs soft. I think next time I'll request no toasting. It won't stop me from coming back because this place has the best customer service and the owner and daughter are great. I'll be back to try something else. read more

We visited with friends for dinner one night. The inside is a step up from a dive bar but they have a nice little patio out front. I'd return for apps and drinks on the patio. read more

Some of the best onion rings I've ever had!!! Good drinks, chill atmosphere, friendly staff. Perfect.

We got there and sat ourselves and the server came over and gave us water said he would come back and get our order. We waited for 25 minutes and no one ever came back to get our drink order or our food order. Tried desperately to get the servers attention, but to no avail. We ended up getting up and leaving. read more

This place is a hidden gem. The staff is so welcoming...you feel like you are friends by the time you have your meal. The food is delicious...perfect lunch spot. My mom and I each had the BLTA with their yummy soup of the day, and we brought a rueben home for my hubby. The establishment is super clean, they have comfortable booths and bar top tables, and a lot of tvs for the sports fans. Even though the food is great, it is the people that will have me coming back in the future. Best service...hands down. Thank you Ickabods for being so kind!! read more

I visited midday with some friends and we got drinks and food. The fried pickle chips was unexpectedly amazing, as was the other food they ordered. Spoke to other patrons in passing while entering and immediately I knew this spot had a great vibe. I didn't check out the interior much, but it wasn't too loud and everyone was super friendly, especially the ladies working here! They are all absolute gems: funny, sweet, charming. Lots of love to them! I'd give them 4.5 stars because I thought my whiskey sour was just okay, but I truly don't mind that much. read more

We drove by this place one day and never noticed it before so we kept it in our minds to try out in the near future. Sadly, lots of regrets. All the food was insanely DRY. It became a theme. We ordered the Cajun Chicken Mac, Chicken Fried Steak, and a cup of chili. -- Chicken was super dry. Garlic bread was burnt and hard. Mac was in a pool of oil. -- Chicken Fried Steak was burnt and dried out. --The cup of chili - ohh man, I've never seen anything like it. Not a drop of liquid or actual soup consistency. It was straight up a GLOB of toppings.... it was weird and I was shocked. Two thumbs down. We went on a Tuesday evening and it took a pretty long time to get seated and get served / attention. Glad we know now but we won't ever be going back again. read more

It was a great surprise to discover this place served breakfast as it was hard to find a copy of the breakfast menu anywhere. We were close by and decided to swing by to verify if they did serve breakfast. This was our first time dining here, and we were shocked to learn that it had been here for 45 years, as the interior was so modern, and pristine. My husband even commented, it looked like Bar Rescue had recently been there.  We had the best breakfast, my husband and the special Egg Bruschetta, and peach swirl bread, and then we split a breakfast burrito- minus the sausage.  The breakfast buriotto was nothing too special, but the other two items were delicious. The Bruschetta was topped with sweet fresh tomatoes and a yummy balsamic glaze.  Our server told us they have a cook loves making pastries, and is always coming up with great breakfast pastries. The bread we had was so moist and delicious. We enjoyed how the staff was all family, and the mother of our server was working behind the bar at 88 years old, and works there daily. You know that place is her true passion, if she still manages to come into work at that age.  I would go here anyday over the diners in the area that have long waits and sub-standard food. read more

So hubby and I were looking for someplace for a kind of middle of the night meal. He found this place and we decided to give it a try. The place was pretty clean, and the staff was super friendly. We got sat pretty quickly when we arrived. The drinks and food also came pretty quickly, piping hot!!!!! The portion size was huge and I swore I was gonna roll out of there. We had the cheesesteak and a french dip sandwich. While we waited for our meal we chose to go over and play a little on the lotto machines. They came to us to let us know our food was on the table so we would get it hot. The staff here goes above and beyond expectations, we were so pleased we cannot wait to go back. Just for info however, it is not kid friendly. It is a sports bar, so 21 and over. But great for a date night maybe? read more

The food was amazing! Everything was well seasoned. I got the tavern burger with an over easy egg and fries with Cajun seasoning which was yum! My man ordered a bod burger which he absolutely loved! The service was impeccable, they checked in on us frequently. The ambiance is more of a sports bar divey kinda vibe but I liked it, very chill. High recommended!! read more
