We did not do hibachi, just sat in regular dining room. Service was good. I had steak teriyaki with fried rice. It also came with soup and salad. I really liked the steak. I LOVED the salad. Most places are cheap with the ginger dressing but not the case here! My mom had the chicken teriyaki and she enjoyed it. Portions are huge. We both had another full meal for lunch the next day.

I visited here for a birthday dinner. Our server was very prompt with drinks. The restaurant is very pretty and I was happy to be at a hibachi table. The hibachi-ER (no idea what the term is ) chef was a lot of fun and seemed to know what he was doing. As I'm working on eating healthy, I stuck to hibachi chicken with noodles and extra vegetables. Everything was delicious and it was hard to keep myself from drinking my yum yum sauce. Portions were huge! We really enjoyed our dinner even though we were sat with rather rude people. I look forward to coming back.

Absolutely loved the food, the waitress, the hibachi chef and the quickness they got us in our seats. Kids got chicken and steak hibachi with a California roll. I got the chicken and shrimp hibachi. Both were perfect and the steak melted in your mouth! The portions were huge and definitely have to take a to go box which we did. THE ONLY con was a waitress who completely hosted me when I was asking to pay my bill. I asked if she could grab my waitress so I could pay my bill. Her response was a simple "No" and continued to act like she was busy. I asked her again and again she looked at me and said simply "no" I asked her about 4 more times thinking it was a joke and she literally said the same thing and walked away. I was FUMING at this point. Talk about a waste of space and air. Had I been a girl I would have had to drag her face across the grill..... Other than the idiot the place is really good... Pricey but definitely worth it

Ichiban has a large menu with lots of options for everyone. Service is quick and friendly. I ordered their Age Tofu, Sashimi Dinner, and Steak and Scallop Hibachi dinner. The reason i gave them only 3 stars is because their hibachi dinner was not good. The fried rice and vegetables were salty and the meat seasoning was just alright. Considering they are known for their hibachi, i think this was quite disappointing. Other than that, their Age Tofu and the Sashimi Dinner were actually quite tasty. The sashimi tasted fresh and the cut was thick. It's still a good spot for dinner but if you are looking for top notch hibachi, this is not it.

The seafood is fresh, and the menu features several creative options. We tried a variety of items (Nigiri, Temaki, Takoyaki, and the daily specials) and honestly loved everything! Items that we ALWAYS order are the karaage, stir fried udon wit shrimp tempura, at least 3 skewers, the lychee martinis, Takoyaki, and some variation of toro. We try to mix in others every time and have never had a bad bite! Servers are always so kind to us and can't wait until my next visit! Hopefully it's soon!

Reservations are highly recommended - it's on the smaller side. The menu has so many options and an amazing variety. One thing to note is this Japanese food is not like most others. Its focus is on homestyle, also fried/stir fried Japanese dishes. So do not expect Ramen or noodle soups. A couple things that are always ordered is the Kaarage, Takoyaki, Okonomiyaki (best in the city), yakisoba or udon, and gyoza. The staff is so sweet and the decorations remind me of Izakaya places in larger cities. They have a bar with cool cocktails and adorable bento boxes they sell during lunch hours throughout the week. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

The takoyaki has a crunchy outside and a good flavor (4/5), and the okonomiyaki is pretty filling (4/5); these were the best two. The yaki-udon with shrimp was ok (3/5) but definitely expensive for what it was and the quantity; they also don't add much shrimp, despite the up charge. The sake no shioyaki was below average for salmon (2/5) and very expensive for that amount they give you. Similarly, the onigiri is almost entirely rice if you add salmon (2/5). You order on a tablet, and they bring the food out. Service was ok (3/5); we had empty waters for a while. The restaurant is well-decorated, and you can see the chefs work, which gives it an ambiance somewhat like a hibachi place (4/5). Overall, I think most of the items are pretty expensive for what they are; they don't have the quality or quantity to justify the price.

Sushi Bomb is an all-you-can-eat sushi and hibachi restaurant in Robinson Township, on the other side of the parking lot from Robinson Mall. They have different lunch and dinner menus, with the lunch just being a more condensed version of the dinner menu. In addition, they serve a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. It is in a small strip mall with several businesses, so the restaurant itself is not gigantic. There is signage identifying the business out front, and the strip has designated parking in the front and on the side. However, since it is across the larger parking lot from the mall, any overflow parking can park in the mall lot and take the short stroll over. This is going to happen during peak business hours, as the strip simply will not have enough parking. In regards to seating, there are tables of varying sizes, in addition to some booths along the perimeter. On this visit, my fiance and I ate in on a Friday night in August. It was packed when we arrived, which was around 7:30 PM. Usually on the weekend nights, it will be rather busy. I have eaten here for lunch and been seated immediately, but I have found that for weekend dinners there will usually be a little bit of a wait. We actually put our name in before we left the house, and there were only a few parties ahead of us by the time we arrived at the restaurant. We live about 25 minutes away, so I would say if you do this about 30 minutes before you want to dine in, it should work out that your wait is minimal for the weekend nights. We were seated at a table after a short wait upon arriving. It is all-you-can-eat, but you order off of the menu and rolls are brought out fresh to you. So, we looked over the menu and began ordering some of the rolls we wanted to try. There are a ton to choose from - with over 100 menu items on the dinner menu alone. While we waited for our orders to come out, we visited the Cold Bar, which is set up more like a traditional buffet. It is not very large, but usually has Lettuce for a salad, different Seafood Salads, Fruits, Desserts, and various Sauces. The desserts especially seem to rotate in and out, so these might vary each time you visit. For appetizer-type items, we ordered the Edamame (3), Miso Soup (1), Spring Rolls (4), Shrimp Tempura (8), Crab Rangoons (9), Fried Calamari (10), and Gyoza Dumplings (6). My personal favorite is always the Shrimp Tempura, as I love shrimp in any form. The Edamame is a generous portion, though if you did not think so you could always just order some more! These dishes are served in small enough quantities that you can simply just put in for more if you find one you particularly like. It also helps you to save room for more sushi! Our sushi rolls included the following: Salmon Skin Roll (91), Paradise Roll (74), Angel Roll (64), King Lobster Roll (69), and Mango Roll (76), along with a few single Sushi pieces. I typically gravitate toward rolls with cream cheese, so for that I really enjoy the Angel Roll. Going along with my shrimp comment from above, I liked the King Lobster Roll and the Angel Roll for that reason. The roll sizes here are a great size. If you are trying to sample as many as you can, I would recommend splitting rolls between those you are eating with. From the Kitchen Entrees, we tried the Teriyaki Steak Hibachi (33). The portion on this could have been an entire meal by itself! It came with a generous portion of fried rice, vegetables, and steak, all coated in teriyaki sauce. I know it is unlimited, but I was pleasantly surprised with the portion of this dish. It is never too long of a wait between ordering and when your items come out of the kitchen. I have never had slow or bad service here, as there always seem to be a lot of waiters/waitresses and runners. From start to finish, we were in the restaurant less than 90 minutes. Even on nights that are busy such as this one, it is never a bad wait for anything. After we ate until we literally could not eat anymore, I visited the ice cream freezer. They just have the classics of Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry in single-serve cups, but it is always a nice way to end the meal here. After so much meat and rice, it helps to reset the pallet and leave on a sweet note. The value of this place is truly incredible. The adult dinner price is $23.99, and I believe the lunch price is about $5 less than that. It is hard to get a quality meal anywhere sit-down at that price nowadays, much less unlimited made-to-order sushi! I will forever recommend this place simply on the value alone. Truthfully, I love Sushi Bomb. As someone who was quite a sushi novice on my first trip here, I have grown more cultured and knowledged by trying a lot of different rolls from here over the years. I would highly recommend anyone giving this spot a try!

I've made it a point to try and go at least once a year. They import their fish from Japan, so everything is exceptional quality (unlike any other I've ever had) and the taste experiences are incredible. The toro, both salmon and traditional tuna, are both to die for. The lighting and general vibe of the place are honestly just as appealing as the food, as it's the sort of place that makes you feel like you're partaking in an experience rather than just a meal. As said before, the quality is top notch, but you will shell out a good bit of money if you want to satisfy your appetite. The first time I went here, I spent approximately $140 on myself. The second time was in a group outing, paying for another person in the group, and we got a little loose with our ordering of food and drink. I think, with tip, it ended up being close to $450-$475. I nearly died when I saw that bill. Do I think it was worth it? Yes. Can I make it a regular thing? As someone who sometimes lives paycheck to paycheck, absolutely not. Hahaha. If you're planning on going, I would generally recommend reservations and booking about a month in advance. TLDR; The people who work there are knowledgable, the food is high quality and worth the price, but view this as a treat kind of place rather than a regular spot... that bill will hit you hard.

The staff were attentive and welcoming, and everything came out quickly and looked like it was prepared with real care. Now, coming from someone who doesn't even like sushi, I'm probably the worst critic for the food itself but Nina couldn't stop talking about it. She said it was easily the best sushi she's had in Pittsburgh, and that says a lot. Every roll she tried, she loved, and she was already talking about coming back before we even left. We have been to every major sushi spot in the county and this is the one place I took her in the past 6 years of her moving to Pittsburgh that she said says the best. So if you're like me, maybe sushi isn't your thing the beef portion was small but okay could've been more beef and less fluff so, you might not be converted. But if you're taking someone who does love authentic sushi fresh from japan, this place is a home run. For making her 30th feel special and giving her a meal she genuinely enjoyed, this spot absolutely nailed it. Best sushi in Pittsburgh from a someone who has had the best sushi japan has to offer.
