The owner of this palace is a total cheapskate. I walked in and I did not have a mask. They still require a mask to dine at their establishment. No problem on my end, I was happy to comply with their policy. When I asked for the mask women at the counter curtly said "50 cents." My issue was two fold. First she didn't have to be rude to me. Nine out of ten restaurants do not require a mask anymore. It's to be expected that most people won't be wearing one who walk in to the establishment. Next, masks cost about ten cents when you buy them in bulk. For the owners of this place to charge their customers at this point in time of where we are with COVID shows that they are petty and don't value their relationship with customers. Ok so food isn't bad. But the buffet itself is never clean. Around the trays, you never see anyone wiping down the area from continuous spilling. The desert puddings are messy and the serving tongs are always wet. When they bring the food from the kitchen, you never see anyone wearing gloves. The entrees are typical offerings like like lo mein, chicken with broccoli, etc. The problem exists where if you were to blindfold me, I could not tell you what I was eating. The cuisine was unrecognizable. Absolutely no taste, extremely bland, lacked any salt or seasonings. Yet the restaurant was quite crowded. I went here for dinner tonight. I asked a worker if he would please replenish The wonton bin, as there was one dried out wonton left in the pot. The worker then looked in the pot, yelled at me, told me to eat what was there then walked away. I couldn't believe what I just heard. First time trying this buffet. Went on a Sunday night with my boyfriend. We went around 6:30pm. It was not busy when we first got there but got busier when we were leaving. Price for adults was 11 per person. Masks were worn by all employees. Gloves we handed out at the entrance. First plate I went to the Hibachi Grill. There's a sign to grab all your veggies. So I piled up on noodles and veggies and pressed the bell to call the chef. Took him like 10 minutes to come up to the grille. Asked for teriyaki sauce but got soy sauce. Taste was good. I got all vegetables because the meat look questionable. Steak was brown and the shrimp looked warm. Like it had been sitting there for a while. My boyfriend got an assortment of meats and some white rice. He really enjoyed all of it. We had some ice cream and fresh orange slices for dessert. He had a beer to drink. I wanted Sake but they were only serving full bottles, $12, but I wasn't sure if I would finish it all so I didn't order it. Maybe next time. Overall, good experience. Great place to gorge!! The price is so cheap and the selection is good. I don't eat meat (and therefore eat pretty healthy) and there were plenty of options. They have a couple of vegan rolls, which are great. The one that has green in the rice is my favorite. There's fresh fruit for dessert which is usually pretty fresh. I've been here a couple of times now and the staff is pretty friendly. My only improvement would be on the sesame balls, which are my favorite and they always seem to be either hard or undercooked. There was a lot of food on the buffet but all of it looked like it had been there for hours. Had a little of most items and they were quite unsatisfactory.
