I was looking for a particular cake and didn't realize a week is short notice - so a lot of places didn't have availability or were looking to charge a rush order fee. I felt a little stressed about the whole situation -- until I heard from Iced! They were super quick to respond and it was so nice that they were able to accomodate my order, and didn't make me feel like I was behind haha. They made a BEAUTIFUL cake and the pick up process was very easy. The boxed it up very nicely and she was ready to go! On top of that, she was half the price of what I was quoted from the other spots! The cake itself was tasty but I will say... the frosting was a bit of a let down. This was my first time ordering from here, and unfortunately, it left me disappointed. I purchased a 6" yellow birthday cake with three layers, topped with espresso buttercream frosting. The first thing I noticed was that the cake tasted stale, likely due to being prepared in advance and frozen. When I arrived to pick it up, I had to wait for at least a hal an hour, presumably because the frosting was added at that time. The espresso buttercream itself was another letdown--it barely had any espresso flavor. The owner explained that adding more espresso would have caused it to separate, which in all actuality I found kind of hard to believe?? I've made brownies with espresso buttercream before without skimping on the espresso, and they turned out great. Although the owner offered me a discount on my next order, I decided not to take him up on it. Next time I'm going to a regular bakery, not a wannabe. This was the first time ordering from here and it did not disappoint! The ordering and picking up was very easy. There's a space you can park your car while waiting to grab your order. ICED works out of a ghost kitchen so when you walk in you either have to call the number listed in your email confirmation or follow the directions on an iPad to notify them you're there. The cake itself was perfect. We got the Spumoni and the layers inside the cake are exactly the colors of the icing on the outside. The cherry, pistachio, and chocolate flavoring tasted so delicious together. The cake wasn't overly sweet where I couldn't have more than just two bites. The amount of icing was perfect. I cannot say enough great things about Iced cakes! David was so helpful in creating a non-dairy cake for our event, and customizing and designing the cake perfectly for our baby shower/house warming. Our guests asked over and over where we got the cake. We had 50 servings of cake for the party, and 30 guests, and there was basically no cake left afterwards! Also, being Asian, we frequently received the highest praise "not too sweet!". We had the Hawaiian Rainbow and Guavaberry and I really loved the Guavaberry :). DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I sent an inquiry for a cake on short notice and was very appreciative they were able to do it. The cake was pretty and I was excited to try it. That was until a slice was cut, placed on a plate, and there was a baby roach. Contacted the bakery and they said they're not responsible so I can't get even a partial refund. $150 for a cake I couldn't even eat one bite of, and no cake for my birthday. I will not be ordering from here ever again and don't advise anyone else to do so. P.S. This bakery is operated in a food center and isn't even listed on the food center's website as one of the businesses being run in the food center. I also find it a little suspicious that there's only one bad review on both Yelp and Google, and the rest are 5 stars (2 of which just mention that the owner is hot so.. most likely from friends). Many of the adults in my family are gluten sensitive so I was looking for a gluten free birthday cake for my son's birthday. I found Iced and was immediately intrigued with all the different cakes. My husband chose the Boston Cream. I had the option to make it chocolate and so I did because who doesn't like chocolate? I spoke to David over the phone and he made it very easy to put in my order and pay online. Picking up the cake was also easy and when I saw the cake I was very impressed. It looked beautiful and I couldn't wait to try it! It also was extremely heavy! When we finally got to try it out, it really was delicious! A lot of gluten free cakes tend to be on the drier side but this cake was not. In fact, I wouldn't have been able to tell it was GF if I hadn't been the one who ordered it.
