What do you do when there's a storm in Barcelona raining cats and dogs? You be that brave soul because when you're only in Barcelona for a certain number of days, you can't let a storm stop you from you original plan. So what did we do? Go to the coldest place when you're already freezing! YAY! Obviously there were no line.... hence this ice bar is literally next to the beach... and since it's raining so hard, no ones at the beach, therefore.... YAYYY no ones at the ice bar either! (Besides these fools - us) SO, we don't even have to buy tickets ahead of time, literally got there, paid, got our warm fuzzy coats and mittens that they provided us, and in we go. AWESOMEEE, no one to be crowded with and literally had the whole bar to ourselves. Talk about ballin' so hard :D Awesome music, had 1 free drink of our choice. Tried the Leia on Ice, it was chill. Get it? ;D Anywayssss, of course even the drink came in an ice cup, overall cool experience. Now you know, if you want to avoid the line, go on a cold rainy day! XD

Lens was foggy because we were inside the bar for so long

What makes this Ice bar really special, well it's the first Ice bar at the beach in the world. Yes, you heard right! You have the best of both world's. With an amazing view, it's like paradise. Icebarcelona is an open area, you can order drinks at the bar, or sit back relax and enjoy the scenery. You'll have to notify the bartender or hostess for entering the "Ice area". Our admission was $15 euros back in 2013 I believe. It included a warm jacket, gloves, and 2 drinks. Jacket and gloves to be returned after you exist. It was kindof expensive however it was an activity my husband and I really wanted to experience while in Spain, and I'm glad we did. I suggest you wear regular shoes, or else your feet will be frozen right away. You can bring camera's as it is suggested so you can capture lots of great memories. You can stay inside for 45 minutes or so depending how well you are with the cold. The temperature oscilitates between 23 and 14 degrees celsius. They have a regular bar menu, and several options to choose from for your free ones. The bartender had a heavy hand, can't remember his name unfortunately but our experience was a great one. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this place to anyone who will be visiting the area. 5 stars all the way.

What a fun little stop! Tourist "traps" can also be fun! Sure, we may have this in the states, but if I wasn't on vacation I would've never given this a second look. And I'm glad I did because it was more fun than I'd thought. To enter you'll need to pay for an entry fee, which comes with a free drink. I didn't purchase mine in advance, just at the door on a whim. You will be given a parka and gloves prior to entry. Don't be a hero and suit up, even if you are already something warm. The concept was cool, or should I say "cold"? Ok I'll try to stop with the ice/cold jokes. But honestly, seeing the actual bar made out of ice was neat. Then you see that the glasses are also made out of ice, I couldn't handle it, it's awesome! As I sat on my ice chair while holding a cold glass of beverage, I had a little Elsa/Ice Queen moment, I'm not gonna lie. The music was happening (I forgot to Shazaam some of the songs they played but it was so good! Very danceable!) and everyone in the room was having a great time. The only con I'd say is the size. It's not as big as I'd hoped/expected. But I still had fun nonetheless, just wish there were more space for more ice sculptures. I feel bad for the other reviewers who came in on a quieter day as I think they'd change their tune if they experienced what I experienced. Lost of dancing and laughing while we were freezing our tails off. My friends and family were also very receptive to the pictures and videos I posted I figured most wouldn't care but it was a hit! If you have 30 minutes to burn why not come inside to cool off. Ice ice baby! (ok sorry, no more, I promise!) Oh yeah, this is located right by the beach too so take a romantic stroll too while you're at it. Then bar/restaurant hop along the stretch. It's in the perfect location for an active nightlife.

I love the look and feel of this place. I'm not cool enough to party the night away so this review is for lunch and drinks on the beach terrace. I love their take on bacalao with tomato sauce. The bacalao was delicate and balanced rather than salty like I've had at other places. The clams were the best I've had in recent memory. Also, their sorbets are a refreshing treat after a hard day at the beach. Get great food and great service while watching scantily clad men and women sun themselves on the beach. I'm not complaining.

The nicest of the few sculptures.

It's an ice-bar all right, so you get what the name promises, but not much more than that. I've seen them much better (and cheaper...) If you ever get to the Lofoten islands in Norway, for example, I can recommend Magic Ice, with a HUGE collection of ice sculptures.

I also thought Ice Bar...celona would be bigger but was still fully entertained. Pigging freezing but worth the fun at -15C. Thank you for the skin rugs on the ice seats to try warm your tushy but then again drinking from a glass made of ice is never going to warm you through. 13 Euros with a Barcelona Card that gets you in with warmers and a cocktail inside wasn't too bad a price, worth it. My ice glass leaked out the bottom to my horror but the bar maid believed that I wasn't a complete alcoholic and made me a new drink in a new glass. Wouldn't recommend if you can't stand the cold or don't like vodka as it seems to be the only alcohol they stock in there to stop it being an ice pop cocktail. Go try it with a group and try not to lick the walls.

Icey... everywhere. Some nice blend of freezing temperatures with a classy drink that wasn't too strong. Very cool experience but honestly wasn't much to do.

Definitely a tourist trap but hey I've never been to an ice bar so wanted to do it at least once....its $15 euros per person and it was not crowded....it's so cold inside that I didn't make it past 15 minutes, well that and boredom....not much to do once inside but hey at least I can check it off my list

This is a gimmicky type of a place, but it is one cool gimmick. It is hard to go to an Ice Bar and not have an exciting time. The price was relatively cheap and they serve you a drink in a mug made of ice. It is a fun 30-minutes in sub zero temperature and great for Facebook photo ops. You show up, pay around 15 euros, they give you a coat and gloves, you go inside and get a free drink, and enjoy the ice cold surroundings. Everyone leaves happy.

It's like we walked into a meat locker. There was no atmosphere and 45 minutes was to much time to hang out there.

Ice bar was not worth the hype. Free drink was nice but you can only stay in the freezer for 10 minutes or so. Empty on weekdays.

The ice bar itself is really small and after you finish your "free" drink the rest of them are too expensive
