First of all the waiters barely speak English. This restaurant is located in the mall in an extremely touristy location so it'd be helpful for them to speak basic English especially considering that all other restaurants we dined at during our trip did speak basic English.
The waiters were not particularly friendly. When we asked if they gave a welcome drink for staying at the hotel across the street, our waiter said yes and then tried to take our room key even when we asked for it back... Just an awkward and weird interaction that set the tone for the rest of the night.
The first waiter couldn't finish taking our order since his English wasn't good so a second waiter came to take our order instead. I ordered the chicken skewer dish as my meal, and my boyfriend and friend ordered a seaweed salad as an appetizer to share and 4 sushi rolls.
My chicken skewers came out first so I began eating thinking that the rest of the food would come out shortly. After I was half way done with my food three of the rolls came out. Still no seaweed salad. So finally my boyfriend asked the waiter and he went back to grab it. Not sure if they just forgot it completely or what but that should obviously have come out first out of everything we ordered. Then finally the last sushi roll came out and by that time I was completely finished with my food. Food is supposed to come out in a certain order, appetizers first and everyone's main course should come out together... Not too much to ask.
Onto the food quality.. The sushi was just very mediocre. It didn't taste like they put a lot of effort into it. The salmon didn't look like salmon or taste like salmon. None of the sushi looked appetizing for that matter. Also the tempura shrimp in the tempura roll was completely cold which is odd because usually they make it fresh... The chicken skewers were the only positive to the entire experience at this restaurant.
All in all, avoid this restaurant. Go next door to Thai, much better food quality and staff. read more
