Stayed two nights I was getting a small surgery Saturday morning thought it was best to stay the extra night. It was my first time staying at IBIS but it was nice. I loved that it was cozy quite included breakfast that started at 6am. They had egg chicken fruit yogurt sweets bread chilaquiles oj and coffee. Front desk night shift guy also great staff super helpful I got the basic room it was perfect just for me tv Chanel's are premium mayor plus since I was just staying in. The valet parking guy was also really nice drive my car down parked it keys stay for when ever you need they bring it back up for you. Would stay again in the future. read more

Hablé y la señorita que me atendió me dijo que el hotel estaba sold out y que no tenía habitaciones para hacer el check in antes pero que me podía reservar una habitación al precio que estaba para yo hacer el check in antes, entonces? Si había pero me la querían cobrar. Llegamos y nos dieron una habitación tipo 2:30 pero nos dijeron que solamente mi perrito de podía quedar en el piso uno, que en otros pisos no aceptaban mascotas y se supone que es PET FRIENDLY... Después nos dijeron que el perro no se podía quedar solo, nunca antes nos ha pasado entonces ningún hotel, mi perrito es súper tranquilo, y no ladra fuimos al Oxxo que está en la esquina cuando ya nos estaban hablando que dejamos al perro solo, mi perrito estaba sedado debido a unos estudios que le hicieron y se quedó dormido, lo cual le comenté al muchacho pero estábamos comprando agua en el Oxxo y nos dijo que no tardáramos. Llegamos al cuarto y estábamos descansando mi perrito dormido, cuando sonó el teléfono de una recepcionista súper MENTIROSA diciendo que mi perro estaba ladre y ladre y que un huésped fue y enseño el video, le pregunté que si podía ver el video porque había VARIOS perritos cuando hicimos el check in, dos perritos jugaron con el mío en el lobby, y le dije lo mismo que al otro que mi perro estaba sedado ósea estaba súper dormido y cuando ella habló no escuchó absolutamente nada, y me dijo que bajara a ver el video y me colgó.... No me vuelvo a hospedar aquí y no lo vuelvo a recomendar PARA NADA!!!!! Las toallas solamente dejan 2 y nunca hay más el jabón que ponen súper corriente... This hotel used to be great, rooms immaculate, staff was always great, the new chef not so great but the restaurant wait staff is still awesome. But on November 13, 2025 we showed up with our reservation confirmation code in hand, when the (new) desk clerk verified our reservation but said no rooms available. What?? While desperately calling around for other hotels i noticed a more experienced clerk appear, who explained we simply had to wait for the room to be cleaned. (The new gal wasn't trained.) So they held our luggage in LOCKED STORAGE inside their office while we dined out. On retrieving our luggage FROM THE OFFICE a couple hours later, items were missing. The only thief could be someone with access to the office storage, possibly someone embarrassed by her own error. I told her it wasn't her fault, they just hadn't trained her. Oh well. Comimos en el restaurante de abajo que está en el lobby. Las alitas de búfalo muy muy saladas. También pedimos Alfredo pasta- sin sabor y aceitoso. Lo único que si estaba bueno era la sopa de pollo. Lo demás honestamente no tenía buen sabor. Nuestra estadía en general estuvo bien. Básico. This place is not what it used to be, I started coming in here when it first opened and the service was much better, a whole lot more friendly and appreciative . It was also much more price friendly, now it's rooms are in disrepair , walls peeling and all, toilets running and all, a whole lot of rowdy guests and no one seems to care . I will never come back after having stayed there probably 20 times at least. I will instead take my business elsewhere like the grand hotel Tijuana where the experience is worth every single penny . The Hotel Ibis in Tijuana baja california must be some kind of sick joke. It fancies itself as a greener, earth friendly hotel, but it's not. 1. Bed sheets are not changed on a daily basis unless you ask for it 24 hours before check-in 2. No traditional soap and / or shampoo. They have large soap dispensers bt the sink and in the shower. Unhygienic. 3. The glass used for the walk-in shower was dirty. (Was not clean to conserve water?) 4. You're paying for a glorified broom closet. 5. Left room at 7:45 am returned at 4:00pm, I had to go to the front desk to get clean dry towels. The room has not been cleaned. 6. I could not control the temperature in the room. It was so cold, I had to go to the front desk to ask for a heater. 7. My buddy had to go down to the front desk and ask for a different room because the because the frist room had a noticeable dirty bedding. I have no idea if Hotel Ibis in Tijuana is really trying to leave a smaller green house foot print (hard to believe since its located in Tijuana) or they are just using that as an excuse to deliver inferior service to there guest. I do not blame the staff here, but the fault most likely falls on management and ownership. I, in good conscience, can not recommend this hotel. read more

I should have checked the reviews before staying here , the check in was quick and pleasant. The Room is small and just basic , the bed in not even a mattress just a cushion wrapped in a sheet resulted in the worst night of sleep , tossing and turning. The are much better hotels in TJ then the Ibis with better accommodations .The parking is Valet run by lazy Attendants. Leaving a backup into the street. My stay was unpleasant. I went to this hotel last night. The room cost me $114 USD. The room was very small. The bed was very uncomfortable and small sized. The A/C and fan did not work so the room was very hot. This hotel recently opened in Tijuana, Zona Rio. The rate was approximately $50 per night - I believe it may have been an introductory rate. It took approximately 30 minutes to check in, key cards didn't work, room wasn't cleaned on a daily basis, cleaning staff would often forget to leave behind towels or cups, etc. The staff was very attentive and being that it recently opened, I can only assume the staff missed a few things here and there because they don't have a routine just yet. So, given some time, I assume the majority of these Issues will be corrected. The hotel is in a good area of town with easy access to major shopping areas and transportation. Parking is included (underground) but it's VERY small. Do not recommend for large vehicles. Pets are welcome with an additional fee of approximately $10 per night. Rooms are very small and amenities are minimal. Do no expect the treatment you get at a Marriott. There will be no coffee makers, shampoo/conditioner (bottles... there is an all in one dispenser), lotion, microwave, fridge, etc. There are no wash cloths, no pullout bed, no gym, no pool, no free bottled water. What you will receive is decent WiFi, clean rooms, tv, AC. For the amount of money paid, I would say it's a decent place to stay. Just don't expect the amenities of an American hotel. read more

For a quick stay like one night its fine. The hall way had a sewer smell to it. The room decor was nice very modern colors. The beds were comfy and clean. Our toilet made a lot of noise flushing which was not cool. Underground parking was nice and convenient. I sent my girl down she was charged 185 pesos I go down and they try to charge me 195 pesos wen on the menu it reads 125 pesos a shot or mixed with soda and all for the same price. I asked to look at the menu again they didn't want to give it to me. I do not recommend this spot. Horrible Management, bartender's are not trained properly. I reserved this hotel for May 28th, on Expedia! I was given the option to pay at the location, room was guaranteed and confirmed!! I arrived at the hotel at 4:00 p.m., the very rude and unpleasant receptionist at the front desk told me that my room was cancelled because I didn't pay when I made the reservation, I explained to her that I was given the option to pay at the location! She said that there's was nothing she could do, there were no rooms available anymore! I asked to speak to a manager, waited 30 min he finally showed up to talk to another couple that were waiting to talk to him also with the exactly same situation! While I was waiting to speak with him, two other guests, arrived and were told the same thing that their reservations were cancelled, one other group had made their reservation through Travelocity and not sure about the two other guests?? It seems that this hotel doubled booked and gives the rooms to higher bidders!!!! It was a horrible experience however, the manager was able to give us a room!!! We get to the room and it smelled like cigarette, the smell was very strong and it seemed that it was coming from the vents! My recommendation is to NEVER do business with this Hotel!!! read more

Horrible check-in service, parking lot unattended, extremely small rooms for doubles, dirty carpets, the door for our hotel room was literally so heavy I had to push my entire body to open/close it. What's even worse is that they don't have any type of concierge services. I cannot comment on the quality of this hotel, since I never stayed there. But recently I reserved a room at the Ibis for a two night visit to Tijuana. I chose it primarily because it was listed as being dog friendly and the hotel was suggested by a friend who had stayed there in the past with her dog but also for the convenient location. My reservation made clear I was coming with a dog. Prior to my arrival including the day of, my reservation was confirmed several times via email and text. However, when I arrived the evening of my confirmed arrival date, without any explanation I was told that they did not have a room that could accommodate a dog and I was left to scramble around late at night to find another dog friendly hotel. Needless to say, without going into detail, this was a huge inconvenience and caused a lot of stress as there are few dog friendly hotels in Tijuana. To top it off, I returned the following day to speak with a manager, showed him my booking confirmations and was met with blank stares. Pathetic and unacceptable. read more

I tried checking in this afte @3:00 and was told I needed to wait. Ended up waiting 20 minutes (check in time is 3:00pm) the Lobby seems to be under construction, breakfast area is small, looked a bit in disarray. the rooms are pretty BASIC, small / nothing special about them. All you get is a room with 2 beds a small tv, 2 towels that's it. Not even your basic face towels, or tissue. Parking was tight, we went out for dinner coming back we were forced to Valet out car because they didn't have room for more cars. On our last day. We came back to our room and they had made our beds and removed garbage, but whomever cleaned must have mopped with a dirty mop or wiped with a dirty towel. I had to stay here due to extreme traffic trying to exit the boarder on a holiday . Price for one room, full size bed ok. Parking compact but easy. Check in process ok. Room was compact and clean ok. Ordered meal from their diner. Good price delicious actually. Now the not likes- the room was freezing and there were no towels in the bathroom or anywhere in the room. I picked up the phone to call reception desk. It was not plugged into the wall and I didn't see anywhere to plug it in. I called from my phone. Maintenance took 30 mins to come up. He plugged in the phone and was about to walk away. Hey the room is too cold. He turned the ac off and brought us a space heater. Hey we need towels. Ok how many? He brought us two. It is hard for me to write a review with a low score... I'm always looking for the positive and the good in everything, but this one definitely was just bad. Customer service it's just not at the level were it should be starting with the receptionists, when we walked in to check in there were easily about 5 of them talking to each other and not even one of them acknowledging the guests... when I had questions they were very short and rude, they acted like they were very busy. Anyway I only stayed for 1 night. When I checked out I asked the receptionist(Johana y Alejandro)... "in a score from 1 to 10 what would you personally rate yourself?". They say they never thought about that question before, but they rate themselves as 9, very surprising to me... I would of give them a solid 3, there is a lot of improvement needed as far a customer service experience. The facilities of the Hotel over all is ok, and fair price... but for the price... I am a busy person and I don't have a lot of time to review, but on my experience going to Tijuana this is the first time I have a bad so bad impression about a hothel room. So I booked this hotel because is rate pet friendly. I had to take my dog to a vet early morning this past Monday, so I decided to leave Sunday and spend the night at this hotel. After the check in we got in the elevator and the first time we encounter was peep all around the elevator floors. When we hit the floor were they give us the room, smell so bad, smell like sewer. It was a very strong smell. Inside the room we checked the beds and they have hair and little black things that looked like bugs or something. My puppy got under the bed and reach a piece of paper with something that looked like blood on it. OMG. I called and ask for another room, when downstairs and tell the people in the front about and the lady in charge was NOT friendly at all. I asked for the manager on site and they said wasn't there. So I tooked the new key and when to the other room just to find out it was in the same condition as the first. WHAT A SHAME!!! Toilet was durty... and the carpet smell like urine... SO I DECIDED TO LEAVE THIS SHITTY PLACE.. THIS IS NOT A HOTHEL... A HOTHEL IS A PLACE THAT OWNER TAKE CARE OF IT, OWNERS SHOULD PAY SOMEONE TO CLEAN AND SANITIZE VERY WELL SO TRAVELERS CAN FIND A DECENT PLACE TO SPEND THE NIGHT. Nice hotel. I think they opened in June - still working some of the bugs out. In a great location across from Costco on one side and Taqueria Franc on the other. There is an OXXO market next door, and you are just down the block from great seafood at Cerveceria 22 and nightlife at Le Conteiner. Easy underground parking. Some reviews complain about limited parking, but we found the garage mostly empty. Place looks and smells new. Check in was kind of a pain; took about 15 minutes, partly because the staff is disorganized, partly because some Flaka customer was being a pain in the ass. It's nice that they have a full snack bar with food and beer open all hours. Beers very cheap at 40 pesos and tequila even better - 60 pesos for a big shot of Cazadores! Once checked in, the room was fine - small but serviceable. Tiny flatscreen - but I'm not in TJ to watch TV - we never even turned it on. Two small bottles of water provided and appreciated. The A/C took a bit to figure out. It's multi-country so no writing, just symbols. Once we figured it out it blew ice cold. Actual windows that open, so that's a plus. Little cramped for 2 people, but clean. Beds pretty hard in the Euro style. The bathrooms are poorly designed with glass shower doors on a ledge with no squeegees or seals, so the bathroom floods with every shower. It's a nuisance, and I wouldn't want to be using a hair dryer or electric shaver whilst standing in a 1/2 inch of water. Anyway - a clean, decent room in an outstanding location for a very reasonable price. I will return often for Xolos games. read more

It's a newer hotel with small rooms. It's close to zone del rio. It's next to Costco, exchange cashier, a liquor store, market and a night club. Pros: it's clean, workers are polite and friendly, and breakfast is good. Coffee is weak though. I suggest using the cappuccino machine. Easy access from the border. Cons: limited Parking. The parking lot fills up and the guest do not have a parking spot. There was no parking spaces available on Friday at 1:00 am or Saturday at 7:00 pm. Sunday morning at 4:30 am, the guard was missing. I had to get out of the car go to reception, ask two people sitting in their car to move their car from the parking entrance, and move the cones myself to get out of the parking lot. Luckily, we had a second car parked there. We switched parking spots to get our sleeping kids out of the car safely on both occasions, and parked the other car on the side of the hotel's ramp with the security guard's permission. Once the parking on the red zones are taken, the parking lot is full. Neither the guard nor reception suggested a near by parking lot. Guest pay extra for shampoo/conditioner and any extra items you might forget: toothbrush. We bought a pack of toothbrushes at the OXXO. Surprises: when you book a room, request it includes the free breakfast, or you'll pay extra for it as we did. read more

I liked the place..my complaint was the breakfast. Potatoes & chilaquiles had a bitter flavor, yet coffee was good. Most of the staff was friendly with the exception of some who didn't seem to enjoy their job at all. The hotel needs to include food menus in their rooms. I had to go down just to find out that they only have burgers, n sandwiches. The parking going out can be a bit tough but compared to other hotels which charge for parking or don't even have a parking structure, I was happy IBIS hotel did. read more

I stayed here Fourth of July weekend, the staff was super friendly, breakfast was a buffet and it was very yummy but you need to always put your mask on when you go back to the buffet. Taco stands around the hotel very quiet at nite they also have a bar in the hotel but it's not loud or noisy. The rooms are a good size I mean your just going to sleep, but they have no microwave no mini fridge, the beds are kinda on the hard side for my preference the pillows are so soft your head has no support. But the downfall is the AC , it keeps turning off where you just started feeling your neck sweat they are programmed so we can't adjust it I did call and ask to keep it on but this is what I was told that they won't stay on continuously. The other downfall is the parking if you have a big car or truck good luck the parking is so narrow that it's hard to reverse into a spot without almost hitting another car it's literally a one way only and if you go out and come back late good luck you will be outside waiting in your car on the street where traffic is insane to hopefully have another car come out so you can go in. I decided to use Uber and I'm so glad I did cause when I came back five cars were waiting on the street to go in. Overall it's an ok place to stay. But the parking and ac was the reason I gave it a three star oh and there was a mosquito in my room that I just kept playing a boxing match with till I finally got him. One last thing if you want to sleep in the curtains do keep the light out but there is construction right next door so you will hear the hammering going on but if your an early person like me then that shouldn't be an issue. Bad experience, would not recommend it. We checked in at night and the ladies at the reception desk where very rude and at least it seemed that they had no idea what they where doing. They told us they had no parking stall for us and we had to park outside. They said parking is "courtesy" and on a "first come first serve" basis. It's a very small underground parking lot, so I went to check and they had open stalls and the ones that were occupied, were taken by hotel workers, which seemed to me very unfair, specially with signs all over saying "parking for hotel guest ONLY". I asked to speak to a manager and they said they all went home at 5pm, and that no manger will be available until Monday, they are off on Sundays. I mentioned that there should always be a manager on duty at all times. We also asked for an extra towel and they mentioned they ran out, because they don't have enough. Also the shower door is not very well sealed and the water leaks out and makes a big puddle outside while you are showering. The only good thing about our stay was the breakfast buffet in the morning, good food and the kitchen staff and busboys and busladies where very on top of things and very nice and hospitable. They need to work on their cleanliness, floors were extremely dirty and bathroom sink counters/mirrors were not cleaned. You may want to take some Clorox wipes and sandals with you. I chose this hotel because i thought the amenities would be reasonable and it had secure underground parking. I paid $1699.00 Mx pesos for one night approximately$85.00 US. For this amount of money in Tijuana i should have been content. When we got into the room it was EXTREMELY COLD and im Canadian so when i say it was cold, it was cold. My husband is dying of cancer and needs heat so i called the front desk to tell them we needed heat and they said they would send someone up in 5 minutes. Fifteen minutes later i called again. No answer at the front desk. I called again. Still no answer. My husband called the frint desk. No answer. I went down to the underground parking to get blankets out of the car. I called again. No answer. We were cold all night. Went to the front desk this morning to explain what happened. The clerk said she couldnt do anything. I said is the manager here? No. Would you get him on the phone? Yes. The manager offered free breakfast. I said for a man dying of cancer and freezing all night i dont want breakfast i would prefer a 30% discount which i felt was fair. No. The manager asked how long I'd be there. I said 10 more minutes, he said he would be there in 15. Long, long story short...I am not a person to lodge complaints but if you expect a morsel of customer service, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! read more
