Didn't get a permit for putting a new plumbing valve inside the wall. All plumbing was done by non-plumbers, including Jason, who broke my pedestal sink base and epoxied it back together without saying a word to me about it. This was after they told me that all plumbing would be done by licensed plumbers. After they'd totally messed up plumbing my new tub/shower combo, they brought in some fly-by-night plumber who couldn't fix it. I finally insisted on them using my trusted plumber, Bruner Plumbing. Bruner started by getting a permit, which Dixon had failed to do. The inspection of Dixon's work failed, and they had to tear out the new tile around the fixtures to allow Bruner to fix it. Bruner found many issues and fixed them all. Don't hire Dixon. There's a reason they still have to advertise after being in business all these years.

It was weeks of trying to avoid doing contractual work, add fees, calling me names, hanging up the phone on me before the first crew finally walked off of the job in front of the company owner. No apology provided to me, but after significant negotiation they did agree to hire a subcontractor to fix their work. Unfortunately this meant that they sanded their texture work and did not seal the ductwork first and refused to put up plastic in the doorway. I had to put up plastic and then spent 30 hours cleaning my home once I figured out what the air quality issue was. I have a disability and am prone to respiratory infections which is what I was diagnosed with following this event. The new crew told me that the soffit the previous crew built was too crooked to fix but I wouldn't notice it. They decided that they completed the project and the problem was the ductwork underneath the soffit. They want thousands more to replace my ductwork and build a new soffit. I cannot find their electrical license online although they did electrical work. The light fixture they installed will not turn off and they will not hire an electrician to fix their work. This was supposed to be a home modification project to help my disabled son--a fact that they have had no regard for throughout the project.

Just had KE Harn redo my roof. Current roof was 25 years old and we had a leak in the roof right…read moreat the exterior wall. I got quotes from 5 different roofing companies. KE Harn was the only one to suggest NOT doing certain things (like replacing all the boards under the roofing material). I knew that some boards on the roof would need replacing. These were quoted as a flat cost per board that they needed to actually replace, the cost they quoted was 1/3 of another roofer. Because we had an active leak and I was concerned about actual damage to the exterior wall, I kept in contact regarding the schedule. They were out a few months, but said they would do what they could. Actually got the roof done weeks before they expected they could (anothe r job had to be postponed because of weather). During the tear off they kept me complete appraised of what they were finding. The water damage to the exterior wall was greater than I anticipated. They were able to replace the water damaged wood in the wall and at a cost way less that what I was anticipating. Their crews were courtious and keep everything clean. Roof was completed in two days. They completely cleaned up at the end of each day, no debris left anywhere. They only way you could tell they had been there was the beautiful new roof on the house. Check with other companies, but make sure you talk to KE Harn. They will NOT disappoint you on price, quality or workmanship on their projects.
