I won't say there weren't any surprises, because any project this big will have some, but they dealt with them professionally -- providing a fair price for a repitch when they discovered it was necessary, being flexible on timing when my solar provider couldn't get their act together to remove panels, building a temporary stand for my satellite Internet transceiver so I could keep working at home, and reimbursing me when the impact of the repitching process shattered one of my ceiling light fixtures. I have to take a moment to give Isreal and his crew a good review. He was a pleasure to work with and when re-roofing a section of my home found a bunch of water damaged wood. Without saying anything to me, Isreal took his truck to the store and bought lumber and replaced the damaged wood. "I contacted IB Roofing during the worst of the extended rainy season. Water leaking into the house had been going on for a month or so but had suddenly become much worse. I needed a rapid response from a roofer to fix the problem before serious damage was done to the drywall and interior finishes. The leaks were coming from the roof flashing which had not been properly sealed after being reinstalled following a siding repair the previous summer. The required fix was small and this created a problem - roofing contractors were already backed up and only a couple of them were even willing to look at the job. Of the 3 contractors I was able to find (thru Yelp), only IB Roofing was willing to make my job a priority. Israel, the company's owner, was also the most responsive as I raised several questions about the scope of the job, materials, and quality control. The repairs required applying hot tar to the roof flashing and I was concerned that tar not get onto any of the new exterior finishes. After clarifying all of the details, IR Roofing completed the work within a week while I was away. When I returned I inspected the work, the house finishes, and the staging area. The work was excellent - they carefully sealed all flashing and roof penetrations: pipes, vents, and solar panel stanchions. Everything was neat, clean, and there were no tar drips on any of the siding, fascia, or decks. Really well done. I should also mention that IB Roofing was the low bidder for the project. His bid was quick, competitive and comprehensive - the all-around best out of 4 that I solicited.
