    Poke Regular Bowl
    Andreas G.

Nice little poke place close to the Fillmore. Went here before a concert and got some poke bowls. They have a lot of options for toppings and sauces. Nice number of toppings even on the small bowls. I got mine with brown rice, salmon and tuna, the shoyu sauce, seaweed, omelette and some more toppings. Was a really satisfying bowl with some nice bites. Only complaint would be that they skimp a bit on the fish portions. Still, would definitely return here.

Super fresh, so delicious, and filling poke for a really reasonable price! The regular bowl is just under $15 which is a price I haven't seen for poke in a while. The salmon in particular was buttery soft, and the marinated salmon was extremely flavorful. I went a little too crazy on sauces -- if I came back to get a marinated protein option, I'd probably only pick 1-2 non-soy based ones. :') Service was speedy and thorough, and the restaurant itself is kept super clean.

It's been so long since I had a sushi burrito and I throughly enjoyed eating this over getting my usual poke bowl. Fresh fish, great flavors, variety of toppings & seasonings, and service was quick. My boyfriend and I got 2 burritos mine (build your own) and his (salmon lover) they came out to around $37ish with tip, not too bad on pricing! wish the burritos were a tad bigger but besides that solid poke spot.

The food tastes fresh, the customer service is great, and the ambience is perfect. I came here visiting from central Cali and my kids got hungry. This was closest to the painted ladies, so we decided to eat here. I love how fast and efficient the restaurant is. It's a great place for families with kids, just not that big.

I made my own bowl w/ salmon for protein and everything except for a few items. They had a great selection.

To the woman who assisted me today, 3/9 at 3:45pm: THANK YOU!!!! The absolute best customer service was provided and I was extremely thankful, especially since I was on a time crunch and literally had not ate anything all day. It was my first time here and I will definitely be returning. The woman was friendly, helpful, and extremely professional. She even put saran wrapped my food to ensure that nothing spilled. Also the food itself was amazing. I purchased a larger bowl and added a scoop of real crab salad. Kimchi is not my favorite, but I'm so glad I gave it a try here because it was so good. The establishment overall was clean and in an okay location. I can't wait to come back!

Poke by the (1/2) pound - shoyu salmon

I like that they have Inari and sell poke by the pound for $25. However, the Hawaiian Shoyu Salmon I got was pretty slimy, I'm not sure if that was the intended texture.

We were hanging around Japantown but wanted to find something healthy ish to eat. I found this nearby so we decided to stop in for a late lunch. It wasn't all that busy. It's a small place, but it seemed like a lot of customers were getting takeout. My sister and I shared a poke bowl. Tuna, salmon, cucumber, edamame, seaweed, jalapeños, fried onions. It was filling! And it wasn't just all rice, which I'm used to getting. The ratio was perfect. The price was good too. It's pretty expensive to get poke if you live inland lol My friend got spam musubi. I tried some and it was delicious! They also have free water sitting out if you want some.

Dan... He thinks he's the man but he most definitely isn't!!! He is extremely controlling and egotistical! So, I'm a regular I work in the area and bring my staff there often for lunch treats! (Which I'm upset their rewards program is down - has been for months!!!) There has been twice that I've received my bowl with HAIR! Both with Dan (straight brown/black - and I'm a curly haired woman) He told me the first time that I was lying even through the hair was present and reluctantly remade my bowl to complete it with a statement - He didn't believe me and this would be the only time I received a refund. A few months later it happened again - with him I didn't even make it out of the restaurant. So, when he made my new bowl decided to make at the size of a small bowl instead of the large bowl I paid for. Fast forward to present - I was in the area late and by partner decided to get my favorite but guess who was at the counter "DAN" it was the end of his shift but he decided to take me as his last person so he could control my portion sized. Now... The first argument he started was which sauce I wanted - I told him "Teriyaki" (which is what the sign said) he then decided start an argument with me about how it's no longer "Teriyaki" but "Unagi Sauce." I said that it was fine- but he was insistent on me telling him Unagi sauce not Teriyaki like the sign said. Until one of his coworkers stopped him and said "Bro, it still Teriyaki Sauce"... The portion size he gave me on my rice was like a quarter of a cup, he scrapped it to the bottom to make a little as possible. He then asked my 4 meats and made sure to give the smallest scoops possible then passed off my bowl to the next associate. (Mind you - for everyone before me he did only - rice & cilantro/green onion). With a smile on his face he takes off his apron and tells the fellow staff good night. Now, once he leaves the sweet girl helping with my bowl now looks sick. I immediately say "see, you see what he did! How he controlled my portions - is that a large bowl portion sized?" She immediately responded - "No, I'm sorry"... So, we proceeded with my bowl. I only get 3 things in my bowl cucumber, edamame, and misago - all other things I pay extra for like avocado. That bowl comes out to about $25 and it's not even full because he wants to control my order and try to show dominance over your customers! I eat here at least once a week, and again I bring my employees offer purchasing 2-4 meals each time. (I sure do miss the rewards system... hint hint) There use to be a gentleman that worked there with ponytails or braids - long hair... HE HAD EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Great personality & understood how to service your customers! With the way businesses are closing in the Western Addition including that Starbucks that just closed next to you! You should be very careful about how your staff is treating your customers because you just NEVER KNOW WHO they're servicing!

We got the Garlic Noodles, Pork Belly Taco, Kalbi Short Ribs, and of course the Wings, as well as the Ube Colada and Lychee-tini. The Garlic Noodles were delicious. Couldn't stop going back for more with the yummy Garlic flavor. If you love Garlic, you will definitely love these Noodles. The Pork Belly Tacos were just okay. It was cooked fine, but the flavor was just okay. The Kalbi Short Ribs were also just okay. They were cooked fine, but really had little to no flavor. Definitely have had better. As for the Wings, we got the Pa'ina, Sriracha Honey,Salt and Pepper, Garlic Cilantro, and Spicy Mango. The Pa'ina has Sweet Chili Glaze, but too us was just spicy and didn't really have much flavor beyond that. In comparison, the Sriracha Honey we thought had more flavor besides its heat. The Salt and Pepper was a disappointment. It didn't have much flavor and was actually the least tasty of all of them. It was moist like the rest of them, but wish that the Skin was crispy like you expect Dry Rub Wings to be instead of being soggy. The Garlic Cilantro was a good combination with the Fish Sauce, Cilantro, Garlic, Serrano, and Lime Juice if you like Cilantro. The Spicy Mango was actually no really spicy and had a good Mango flavor to it, not that artificial Mango flavor you get with some things Plus, the Ube Colada was thankfully not too sweet, and was well balanced in Alcohol to drink ratio instead of barely tasting the Alcohol or the Ube. The Lychee-tini was also well balanced in both the Lychee and Alcohol flavor. Overall, great drinks, service, and food. Definitely would come here again and try more yummy food.

I was disappointed to find the bowl very bland and flavorless. It felt dry. The only sauce was mixed with the salmon pieces and didn't really taste like anything. This left the rest of the bowl lacking flavor and having dry rice. It seems like they just threw in a bunch of random ingredients to take up space in the bowl. I mean, carrots and tortilla strips are definitely interesting choices for a poke bowl. The portion was relatively small for what you pay. The amount of avocado given was just sad. You also aren't able to make adjustments to add other things to the bowl - you're stuck with what is set in the description. For this spot being a very small hole in the wall, I thought I would be noticed and assisted quickly. I was the only person in there but had to wait an unreasonably long time to get my order. I placed the order online long before I walked to the restaurant during my lunch break. When I got there, I sat waiting for probably 10 or so minutes before someone even came out from the back to hand me my food. Maybe their other menu items are better, but I wouldn't recommend Kitchen Aloha for their poke bowls.
