Rude! I could not believe it when they refused to use regular nail polish upon my request. They said they only do shellac. I almost gave to a shellac service, but they were so rude and condescending about it that I decided to go somewhere else. Apparently another customer came in with their own nail polish because she was going on vacation and they also refused to use regular nail polish. Their efforts to upcharge customers is going to result in losing good customers. read more

I'm furious! Not only was I told it was going to be 30$ and it ended up costing 62$! They did a terrible job and it took FOREVER! One lady started on my legs and feet then left. For a long time with my feet and legs in an empty tub for 40 min waiting to be painted. No massages or scrubbing the dead skin off at all! Then the second lady showed up to clip the toenail and paint and she snapped my toe nail in half and I screamed! She said nothing and proceeded to pain them. The first time I went, the guy who did my shellac on my toes told me that it would be ugly if I didn't get a pedicure. I do not appreciate talking disrespectfully to the customers. I told him I did not want a pedicure but I would get it next time ( since he SCOLDED me about it). He told me that if I get the pedicure next time, it will be $55. Up until this point, I have had no issue with this place. I called today to reschedule an appointment and, LouAnn, the technician I usually frequent was upset. She said this was my third time doing it at the last minute! First of all, I rescheduled once before, not twice. Second, I rescheduled because I am ill and thought I could handle the appointment. The comment LouAnn made to me, as if I was a child, "this is the last time you do this!" I have NEVER been disrespectful, never raised my voice, always communicated as a rational adult. If you have an issue with me, TALK TO ME WITH RESPECT! I am not a child and I will not be scolded especially when I pay decent money! I was hesitant to make an appointment because of the virus (it's been almost five months). Again, my issue is the disrespect! I used to refer everyone to this place but no more. I have been going to this nail salon for about two years. Never really had a problem with the salon they usually do an ok job and the pedicure is pretty good depending on which nail tech you get. But yesterday was the worst day I ever had there. I came in to get a dip done on my natural fingernails. There was one person in front of me so the wait shouldn't be too long, but I waited over an hour because they kept on skipping me. When I asked why I am being skipped the owner stated she will get me next and told me to have a seat at her station. So, I sat down and the owner skipped me again for a young lady who came in to get her eyebrow done. At this point I am pissed and to top this off the owner moved me to another station for another nail tech to do my nails. I will never be returning or sending business their way again. Just very unprofessional and $40 for a dip on my natural nails. Wow!! Never again. I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

went in with my mother to get my nails filled and her a basic pedicure. When we first got there we were early for our appointment and these girls came in a group and were trying to go before us which would have happened if they didn't leave because one of the ladies that worked there tried to let them. They left my mom sitting in the chair for 30 min after the pedi was done and then finally asked if she wanted her toes painted and cut her toe. a few of my nails ended up being lumpy and the polish job was not great. Then we get done and they want $120 for it when the sign clearly says $28-32 for a pedicure and around 30 for a fill. Overall a bad experience and most likely wont be coming back. are there absolutely no good nail places in Lansing?! how ridiculous. read more

What this nail salon lacks in curb appeal, it makes up for in service and cleanliness. I went here on a recommendation from a friend. My 13-year old step daughter and I each got a pedicure. The color selection was amazing. Staff was very friendly. They spent a lot of time on the massage which I really appreciated. Averagely priced at $25 per pedicure. My only grumble is that the woman who did my pedicure and the man who did my stepdaughters pedicure appeared to be using different processes and her toes ended up looking like they were painted by one of her friends. This was nothing major though and I will just make sure I speak up next time if the paint job isn't satisfactory. read more

I came here for a full set of gels 3 days before my wedding. I made and appointment here due to a friend's recommendation, it was a total disaster. When I arrived for my 10 am appointment there was only one nail tech there working on a client with another walk in waiting. It took over 35 minutes to even be greeted. By the time I was finally seated and being prepped for my manicure I had been there almost an hour. Since this was for my wedding I came prepared with photos of what I was looking for. The man helping me did not speak any English, but I thought through the photos I could convey what I was looking for. I had to stop him from using Acrylic even though I had told him at least six times that I wanted gel. Once the nails were on was the biggest let down. Though the nails themselves are nice, he told me I couldn't have the pink to white ombre I had asked for. Then I was immediately surrounded by two other nail techs that told me that I couldn't have what I was looking for, "You had to tell him this is what you wanted before he started." HELLO, I DID! I had showed him a picture of my friends nails that had been done in that very nail salon two days prior. I settled for a mediocre French manicure that I ended removing before my wedding. The staff left me to feel like I was in the wrong. I had been the one to make the fatal mistake of not being clear on what I wanted. If showing a photo of a manicure your salon did isn't clear enough, then you will not getting my repeat business. read more

*PLEASE READ* I've been here a couple times, the last time I went to get a fill because my usual nail lady is booked 2 weeks out and I needed them done before going on vacation. A gentleman did my nails and instead of gently cutting back the lose acrylic at the top, he took the dremel to my nails, using the edge of it to cut the acrylic off my nail. In doing so, he drilled into my real nails on every single one of my fingers. After he was done shaping them I asked him not to paint them so I could go home and reshape them myself, they were that bad. They were thick, uneven, and crooked on quite a few fingers. When I took the acrylic off (by soaking them in acetone) I noticed that he had drilled off so much off my right thumb that my nail bed was exposed and it started to bleed. Besides this incident, you can tell some nail techs (maybe not all) are about quantity and not quality. I'm really not usually the person to complain but this incident was completely unprofessional. I paid over $30 for him to ruin not only the acrylics, but my nails underneath. read more

The lady started my pedicure about 15-20 mins after my friends and finished at least 20 mins before my friends nails were even finished it was super rushed and she didn't even massage the bottoms of my feet. I could of gave myself a better pedicure at home. She didn't put the toe spacer between my toes so i had to hold my toes apart myself while they dried. read more

I had a few issues at the salon that I just dismissed as "flukes" or a difference in preference. However, after having to completely removed my manicure within 48 hours due to chipping and the managers response, I feel I need to share my experience . **please note this experience was reported to management. Their response was they don't guarantee regular manicures for ANY length of time. That next time I should get gel it will last longer. ** I picked I Spa nails because it had positive reviews and I unexpectedly had some time to kill while in town for a conference. While getting my pedicure the tech started to used a razor on my feet (that was not legal in my old state) it hurt. I asked her not to use it and she switched no problem. During my manicure, she cut me and didn't say anything. Again, not ideal but wasn't going to say anything. The polish was also not smooth on one nail and rather than fixing it she just kept reapplying. She told me it would dry fine. It didn't, but I was out of time and didn't want the hassle of bringing it up a third time. All of this I wasn't thrilled about but just shrugged off assuming it was a one time fluke. There were a few regulars there at the same time and they seemed to love it. They next day, already on my way home, my manicure starts chipping bad on the nail she didn't fix. Once again I shrugged it off, but the chipping continued. Within 48 hours all of my fingernails were chipped at least half off. I hadn't been cleaning or doing dishes or anything else tough on your nails, so there is really NO EXCUSE for the chipping besides poor polish/workmanship. I called the salon, spoke the the manager to only be told they don't guarantee any length of time on a regular manicure. I understand it's not gel, but come on. Chipping within 24-48 hours?!? I find that silly. She also never even said sorry for your experience. She just kept suggesting gel. Like I said, there were a few regulars who seemed to really love it. I would not recommend or go back. If you do go make sure you are close so they can fix any mistakes. read more

I made an appointment for 5:00 days in advance but wasn't seated until 6:30! Once I was actually in a chair I started receiving $5 up charges for every little thing I asked for. I was charged $5 for a coffin shape when my nails are only about a cm over my finger in length. She never used the words please or thank you when speaking to me and she got an attitude when she saw that she was not getting a tip.
