Great for a no frills massage parlor. I needed a massage same day to relieve tension in my shoulders and upper back. I called and requested an appointment a few hours ahead of time. She didn't ask for a name or number, but upon arrival I was expected. Prices are clearly listed behind counter. The inside doesn't look like much. The massage bed was covered with a short cotton blanket - that didn't quite cover my feet. The lady started promptly and throughout I was confused about the methodology as this message is very different than one received at a spa. At one point - the lady got on the table with me. I got a sample of hot stones and hot oils - light pressure, deep pressure. Overall, when she finished the tension was gone and I was at ease. My bestie and I came here for my birthday. We both got massages and both had the same reaction thereafter, it was just OK. They seem to start the timer before actually starting you. The timer is literally put on the table with you while you get massaged. While the clock is ticking they leave the room more than once to grab things like hot stones and hot rags. And then they stand at the front and wait for the tip upon completion. As a new Georgian I'm really starting to learn that work ethic is different here than what I was used to. There's a lot of laziness in customer service and it almost needs to be studied. Take that how you like before deciding to get your massage here. I came in to I Love Massage after a long, stressful day on my feet at the hospital. I knew I needed a relaxing foot massage and decided to give them a try since they stay open late. I came in around 8pm on a Friday and was told that they were booked but to try again in about 30 mins. I came back about 45 minutes later and was seen immediately even though they were still quite busy. I was led into a dimly lit room equipped with recliners and foot stools. Even though soothing nature sounds and calming soft music were playing to enhance the mood I had to actually concentrate on relaxing for the first few minutes. My chair was right next to the door which was only covered by a sheer curtain so unfortunately I heard every footstep and conversation that went on in the hallway outside of the room which is why I deducted a star. The service starts off with a warm water foot soak followed by the massage which includes hot stones and an amazing leg/thigh stretch to relieve tired and stiff muscles. That may have been my favorite part! I contemplated increasing it from a 30 minute massage to an hour long one but decided I'd save that for my next visit since I'll definitely be back. There might be a bit of a language barrier with some of the staff, so I'd suggest telling the person at the front desk any details or any requests. One thing - occasionally can be a hygiene issue. The last time I went the person giving me the massage was coughing and swallowing his post nasal drip. They shouldn't have been there, clearly they were sick. They were not wearing a mask and - full disclosure - neither was I. I paid the price 72 hours later when I started doing the same and struggled with a cold for about a week. After a stressful day of work I stopped by I Love Massage. One thing I love about this place is that they're open late. The new covid hours are 12pm-10pm. The original hours were 10am-10pm. They offer 2 different massage styles. They have a $40 head to toe chair massage, and a $60 table massage. The table is a little hard but once your massage starts you won't even once it lol. Mina was my massage therapist and she was great. I had a lot tension in my shoulders and back, and she was great at relaxing my muscles. She was able to add the right amount of pressure to loosen me up. Unlike some of the other massage parlor's I've been to there's no up-charge for massage oil or hot stones. At the end of the massage she wiped me down with a hot towel and it felt sooo relaxing. What I don't like about the establishment is that they pass the credit card transaction fee onto the customer by charging an extra $1 when you use your credit card. I have been coming here for the last 8 years. The last few times, I have not received a good service. I used to give very good tip, but lastly, when I didn't give a good tip because of the worst service, they refused me to do a massage after I showed up on my appt time and While he soaked my foot in water for 15mins, the lady called her husband's phone (who booked my appt) and told me (Tom) is not comfortable doing my massage. If he is not comfortable, then you should call a head of time like I did to schedule my appt. I called at 2:45 pm to book my appt, so you should have called me. I don't leave closed by, so don't waste client time. I'm very disappointed with (Tom) and not coming back to get a massage from him anymore. I can never recommend this massage place. I get massages fairly often, maybe once or twice every month and I'm always open to try new places. I had not tried this place yet, found the price to be pretty decent, and the place was not far from where I live. So I decided to give it a try. Yes, the price was very affordable. One thing that really bothered me was how they just add like a dollar or two on your check if you use your credit card. I was never notified this before the massage. The receptionist added this extra to my check without telling me about this a bit. If you are going to do that, at least let me know before I sign it instead of just adding it onto my check without my consent, thinking that you'll get away. Or he could have been just lazy to tell me. Either way, that is not acceptable, regardless how much it is. I usually take my massages on the harder side to ease my back muscle spasm or pain. However, the massage was so painful that I had to ask the therapist to stop numerous times and be more gentle. She had no skills at all, but I felt that she was just applyig the full pressure from her whole body on my back. I was very uncomfortable during the entire massage and I am not a novice when it comes to deep-tissue massages. I went to the one on clairmont Rd . In Decatur and I was not happy. The man was too heavy handed. I asked him to ease up and he seemed to have an attitude when I asked him. So this spot is my go-to. You can definitely just walk in or make a last minute appointment. But TODAY, it was not as good as usual. The lady who was massaged me used elbows and knuckles 95% of the time. She had no idea what body language was because I would tense up after she continuously went over the same spot, digging in with her elbows. It definitely wasn't a relaxing massage. Then I opted to get a reflexology foot massage and ended getting the same person. I thought "ok, it's not a massage massage, it's pressure points, there's a difference." Boy was I wrong! Oh my my :(((. This is the second time in a row I have had a bad experience. Last time it was 'Lee'. His massage was rough, rushed and jerky and he smelled like cigarette smoke. Today it was ''Tom'. Tom seemed inexperienced/learning massage. While part of it was 'nothing special', the other part was simply irritating. I finally had to tell him to stop - and we ended it early. The absolute worst part of today's visit to I Love Massage' is that the room smells like body odor. It smells and looks dirty. There are six reclining chairs in the room and they have seen better days. There isn't a way to sanitize them (are made of fabric). They smell. I just couldn't wait to leave. Massage was no good. This place is amazing. I've always had terrible massage experiences, and a lot of places waste time to give you time to change, so it's never a full hour. This place gives you the full 60 minutes and every minute is amazing. They start off by putting a towel on your back and pressing your back (maybe to warm it up? Idk) Then they put lotion and do the typical massage and remove all of the knots throughout your body and give you a head massage too. Experienced the worst racist and misogynistic behavior ever at this place on multiple occasions, directly from the Asian male owner. If I could give a negative star, I would. I kept going because I really needed a deep Eastern type tissue massage and found 1 masseuse there, Jason, who does an outstanding job every time. Every time I patronized this place the owner is always so rude and dismissive when speaking to me. I observed him on multiple occasions moving my service to a less than ideal location/room, in order to please another patron. A few weeks back I called and requested a massage in the purple chair, which is usually in the front couples' room. Upon arrival, I was walked to the back hallway and asked to sit on the purple massage chair which had been moved to the hallway next to the rest room door. I inquired with the woman if this is where the massage is taking place, in the hallway, next to the restroom, she nodded her head and said yes. I advised her under no circumstances would I receive a massage in such a demeaning location, with no privacy and next to the restroom. Mind you, all the rooms down the hallway were empty, doors wide open with no patrons. She then moved the purple chair back to the couples' room and I received my massage. A few weeks later I scheduled the same massage with the purple chair and the same preferred masseuse, Jason. This time the chair was in the couples' room. Approximately 10-15 minutes into the massage, timer is going, I'm face down, barn door is closed, and the massage is in progress. The Asian lady at the front desk opens the door, speaks to my masseuse, he keeps massaging, and it sounds like he was not in agreement with what she was trying to do. She proceeds to ask if she can move me to another room because she wants to use the room for another couple. I advised her while face down, actively being massaged and on display for all the patrons in the waiting area that the massage had commenced and that she should have moved the chair to another room prior to my massage commencing, given that this was a scheduled appointment. She leaves and comes back 4-5 additional times throughout my massage to ask the same question, despite my telling her each time that she was disrupting my massage and preventing me from being able to completely relax and being quite unprofessional. Upon completion of my massage, I advised the Asian lady who kept interrupting my massage of her prior foul behavior of placing the chair in the hallway next to the restroom and that she had stooped to an all-time low of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. She responded that her boss, the male Asian owner, told her to put the chair in the hallway during prior incident and that he does not like the purple chair massages to be done in the couples' room. She further stated she was trying to accommodate the White couple who was waiting for a couples' massage. I reminded her that myself and my husband have had to opt for other massages, when the couples' room was occupied, so why could the White couple not wait or opt for another room given that my scheduled massage had commenced. She continues to explain that her boss doesn't like it, until I reminded her that she had an option to schedule my massage in any other room prior to my arrival, given that this was a scheduled appointment rather than an impromptu walk-in. She finally forces a sorry, then the masseuse assisting the White couple in the couples' room had the audacity to step out and attempt to shush me, stating I was disturbing the White couple during their couples' massage. I have never felt so disrespected and mistreated, due to the level of racist and misogynistic treatment received at this place, and thus will not give them my business again, in addition to ensuring I inform everyone I know of their ways. You can't preach stop Asian hate, while you're going around being hateful and demeaning others as if they are less than you. Your downright hateful and demeaning behavior towards other races, especially the Black race, is what stirs the hateful incidents you see in the news. It may not be all Asian people; however this business definitely contributes to the problem, thus if I were Asian I would equally question your business practices. read more

I have a 3 o'clock appointment scheduled I had asked for a full body massage. I specifically asked for Findy and I got someone completely different but did not realize it until part of the way through. When I walked in I said I was here for my 3 o'clock appointment for Findy and I specified that I wanted heavy legs and feet, less on the back. I only got my back side massage they never had me flip over and do the front of my legs or shoulders they did nothing on my feet. It was the worst massage I ever had there.
