After struggling with an unidentified pain for years and not getting any answers or relief from neurologists, orthopedists, physical therapists, etc., I gave massage therapy with Deborah a shot. Words cannot describe how glad I am that I did. During every visit, Deborah thoughtfully listened to me and and to my body. She considered my body as a whole, not as individual muscles, nerves, etc., and considered how something in one area could affect something in a completely different area. In doing so, Deborah was able to pinpoint the exact location of the source of my pain (which was different from where I felt the pain). No doctor had been able to do this. After finding the "needle in the haystack," Deborah let me know what massage therapy could do to help. She also advised me of what massage therapy probably would not fix but helped me understand what she was noticing so I could clearly explain my confusing symptoms to my doctor. After an MRI of the area Deborah was working on, my doctor confirmed that was the spot most likely causing the pain and set up a treatment plan. My doctor was amazed that Deborah was exactly correct in locating the source of the pain. He commented that she must really know what she's doing because it was a small spot in an area that was very difficult to get to. Without Deborah's help, we would have done an MRI of the wrong area and would not have identified the source of the pain. To me, all of this speaks very strongly to Deborah's awareness and understanding of the human body as well as her compassion and desire to help her clients. I will definitely keep going back to Deborah for maintenance massages and for some relaxing massages too! read more

Elyse, Elyse, Elyse. Thank you. I'm a hairstylist who works with highly textured hair, so I put a lot of stress on my shoulders and dominant hand. I booked a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Elyse to try to work out these kinks. She was on time, had great energy, and the environment and ambiance of the massage room was clean and relaxing. The smell of the essential oils was amazing :) Elyse suggested we focus just on the top half of my body since I was having so much pain. She's the professional, so I went with it! Elyse has great bedside manner; she asked if I was ok throughout my massage. She even paid extra close attention to the areas I told her were causing me the most pain. After the massage, she showed me stretches I could do at home to help keep my problem areas loose. Elyse has some strong hands. She told me she was a strong girl before we started, but man!!! Lol...I needed it, so I didn't complain. I'm writing this review the day after my massage with Elyse and my shoulder, neck, and hand feel a lot better! I'm a bit sore, but I know it's because muscle knots were loosened. This is also not my first deep tissue, so I already knew what to expect the day after. Deborah worked a miracle on my pregnant, achy back today! I feel like I left her office as a different person. Believe me, she is the real deal! I wasn't sure what to expect since this was my first pregnancy massage. My ever expanding belly certainly doesn't make it easy to get comfortable these days, but Deborah knew just the trick and had me up on the table and snug as a bug in a few seconds. I had instructed her that despite my pregnancy I was hoping for some pretty deep rubbin' and she managed to know just the right level of pressure to use. Her hands immediately found the source of my discomfort and went to work. The next hour was simply heavenly. Deborah's massage was a game changer for me. Although I found easy parking in front of her building, walking a few steps to her office was a struggle "thanks" to severe back pain. For the first time in years, I played golf earlier that day and was reminded of why I haven't played since my back surgery. My entire spine felt swollen and most of my back muscles were going into spasms. I walked like I was 50 years older than I am. Needless to say, she fixed me! First she greeted me so kindly at the door and took time to hear me explain my back issues. She then put together a massage that was second to none. I guess only a massage therapist with her skills and years of talent could pull that off. Deborah has not only mastered her skill, but she's been naturally gifted with some of the strongest hands I've felt. Deborah listens. She listens to what you tell her verbally, and she listens to what your body tells her with it's knots and tight spots and tender places. She is strong and patient and I always leave her feeling like a new person. She'll talk if you feel like talking, but she'll let you lead the way. For me, there comes a point at about 10-15 minutes in where I just zone out and surrender to the work she's doing. Great rates, I recommend the package deal -- $300 for 5 hours of massage and you can break that up however you need. I am hooked on 90 minutes of bliss. I have some really tight knots in my neck and back, and tight glutes (which she actually helped me with through reflexology on my feet -- amazing!). The 90 minutes gives her time to pay adequate attention to the places that really need it, and also do the full body massage and some scalp work, which I love. She is really strong and will go deep if you need it. If you prefer a lighter touch, just let her know. Like I said, she listens. Love her! read more

She is warm, attentive and intuitive. The location in the historical Scottish Rite building in oakhurst is great and the space is very quiet, clean and welcoming. Deborah is awesome! She is friendly and sweet and can really make you feel this is for YOU - so she is great at making you feel its really OK if you want to be quiet or chatty. Let me just start by saying that I'm not usually the type of guy who regularly visits massage therapist but Deborah changed all of that. I have had a few massages in the past for relaxation but never for therapy. I was working at a restaurant way too many hours a week and was on my feet 10 hrs a day and it was taking a toll on my back. After seeing Deborah for the first time it did wonders. Actually feeling her work the pain out of my back was amazing. If you've never had a deep tissue massage I highly recommend it. Moved to Atlanta 6 months ago and been to Deborah twice now. I have pretty specific needs and preferences, but she checks all the boxes. I go for pain management more than relaxation, and her massages leave me pain-free for weeks. Her technique is great and she applies as much pressure as you can handle. You don't have to ask her, she intuitively knows your limits. Deborah is also very pleasant and willing to explain what she is doing and why. I appreciate this as many therapists I've had in the past were unable to understand my pain, and did not seem confident when I asked them why they chose the method they chose.
