I have been coming to Jazmin Spa for over 10 years. Obviously, I enjoy the service and would highly recommend. However, today, the woman sitting next to me during my mani/pedi was on a Zoom meeting on her laptop without earphones. It was as if I was attending the meeting, too. I have been coming to Jazmin Spa for 6+ years and always been pleased. I usually get gel manis and pedis, brow clean-ups, and the occasional massage. Today I experienced their new head spa service, and it was amazing! 10/10 recommend. The service provider did an excellent job - I was so relaxed and instantly made to feel at ease. Dangerously dirty and gross! Do not go here. I had a gel manicure on Sunday. I was the first customer in the salon that day. I sat down to a dirty towel with dead skin on it. I was suspicious of the open packet of tools that the technician had. I asked if they had been sanitized. She told me yes. Then I noticed the dead skin on the cuticle nippers. The technician lied to me and this shows that Jasmin Spa has no regard for their customer's health and safety. I made the technician get a new pack of tools and open it in front of me. Reusing cuticle nippers on multiple people is disgusting, gross, and can spread diseases. If Jasmin Spa is this ignorant and careless about reusing tools, it is unlikely that they are even following the proper protocols for sanitizing. The health department needs to get involved. I asked for the owner to call me so I could share my experience, but she didn't, so I am posting here. read more

Jazmine Spa was a nice experience. When I walked in I was greeted at the door, asked to sign in and sanitize hands before my service starts. Everyone had a mask on (staff/clients). My appointment was at 11 am and I didn't have to wait to long to get started on my service. The nail tech that did my nails was great with her hands and I almost fell alseep in the chair twice! I made an appointment for a gel manicure and arrived on time, but still had to wait 10 minutes. Not terrible. Then, once the nail tech gets to the point where she's polishing my nails, I look at the first hand after the first coat and noticed that she didn't polish all the way to the edges. I tell her that I need her to polish each nail all the way to the edges or they will break, most likely really low on the side of my nail bed where it becomes very difficult to deal with. The tech responds that she will file them afterwards. There's too much unpolished for that to work without making my nail really narrow and messing up the shape. When I go to a nail salon, I don't want to have to inspect each nail, each coat to make sure they won't break from lack of protection. When I got home, I had to buff my own nails to smooth out the rough snags. The nail tech did not give me any lotion or hand massage at the end. She didn't clean under the nails. There are unpolished corners and edges. I like the color and the shape despite the snags, but overall, I'm very disappointed. read more

This review is for lash services only. I paid for cluster lashes. I was told they would look natural; they did not. I have had very professional and natural lash services at another salon, and know the difference. I have very fine natural lashes. The clusters from Jazmin Spa were heavy and installed with heavy amounts of glue. At the end of the service, I was finally told there was another option I could have chosen; less heavy clusters. So unprofessional & bad practice not to give the patron all options prior, in order to make the best decision before the service. With very fine natural lashes, the less heavy lash clusters would have been the better choice for me. Once some of the clusters started to fall out, I tried to gently remove the others; it was very difficult without loosing some of my natural lashes and scratching my lid. Got a gel manicure and pedicure on Sunday 06/14/2020. My gel French on manicure started to crack after two days. Called today Tuesday 06/16/2020 and they told me to come in so they could fix the problem. Instead of getting gel I told them I wanted todo sns instead since the gel only lasted 2 days. She proceeded to quickly do the sns, rushes through it the whole causing my fingers to get raw and tender. Before I left 3 of my fingers started to bleed! I have never been to a nail shop that made my finger bleed. This is a disaster! I will never come back here again. read more

OK. First let me say I am not a manicure pedicure snob it is rare that I spend the money and take the time to get it done. But I had a gift certificate and I needed to use it. I got the deluxe pedicure and deluxe manicure. The pedicure started out with cold water on my feet which I soaked in for half an hour plus. The rest of the pedicure was OK and the color turned out even. This is probably the worst manicure I've ever received. The color is uneven and they did not clean under my nails before painting. Like there were was dirt under my nails as they started painting. The color was uneven and chipped from the moment they did it. But being a passive aggressive weenie and the fact that I was using a gift certificate to pay for it I didn't say anything. I will say that everyone working there was super nice. DO NOT GET A WAX HERE UNTIL YOU READ MY EXPERIENCE. I have been coming here for years to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed and after yesterdays experience, Jazmin Spa will never touch my face again. Not only was yesterdays wax extremely painful but an entire layer of skin was ripped off under both eyebrows. The skin directly underneath my eyebrows severely stings even after I put ointment onto my skin every couple of hours all day. The woman who waxed my upper lip and eyebrows, Kathy Nguye, ripped off a layer of skin, leaving the area underneath my eyebrows bright red and raw. I am sure my skin will scab for months. The man forgot to trim my toe nails and skipped the foot massage. The lady didn't do the tips on my SNS! I asked but was told She forgot and it was too late to change. I had to put my flip flops on after the pedicure and of course smudged the paint. I waited 4 min 53sec. For somebody to charge me at the front. I probably should have just walked out. My nail job is great. I visited today 12/06/19 and paid 45.00 for a gel fill in. I waited about fifteen minutes since they were busy. The shop is clean and looks nice. Lily did my nails and she did a wonderful job on them. Her paint job and filing were on point. I was greeted upon entering the shop which I appreciate. I will attach a pic. I saw this color called "cat eye" gel and couldn't resist. Purple is the best color in the world so I picked one. It's 10.00 extra but it's totally worth it. They have this magnet which they put on the nails and it makes the color change slightly. I didn't mind paying the extra ten dollars since the work was attended well and it looks clean. The gel paint doesn't have any bumps and is completely smooth. She even painted the edges without any overlapping paint on my cuticles. The work they do is definitely worth the money. Came to this place because it's in the same shopping center as CVS store I was in. My daughter is moving here and is in need of a new nail salon. We saw the poor reviews and usually would stay away from anything under 4 stars. We decided not to judge but give them a fair shot. Upon entering I was greeted by the receptionist, she was very nice and after signing in she guided my daughter to the samples for gel colors. It's a small selection compared to Las Vegas standards but a good selection. The waiting area has a single chair, no magazines or tv's for entertainment. Soft spa music is played but very low, normal conversations override the music. The stations are pedicure chairs. Whether you are getting your nails done or not, you are in a pedicure chair. Each chair is fairly close to the next, so be mindful of limited personal space. After about 5 minutes a lady put cuticle cream on her nails and hands and put them in heated pouches and left for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, the receptionist asked if she could close out her check so she could close her register. This didn't bother me, it's was 20 minutes before closing and even if I didn't like the service I would still pay the full bill. I think the receptionist was being efficient and wouldn't be surprised if the owner expected her to have things done by closing time. She literally walked out for the day at 7:15, 15 minutes prior to closing. Two men were moving the pedi chairs and doing some construction. Banging and hammering away just feet away from customers. They used a hacksaw in the back and you could smell the wood dust all throughout. With that much disturbance, they clearly should have waited 15 minutes for the last customer to leave. The customer experience does not seem to be priority here. It's definitely NOT a spa. Don't expect to have a spa experience here. Once the manicurist began, she did continue the service without interruption. She was very friendly and talked us both about college life and her experience with her son. She actually earned this place the stars I did give. If it wasn't an overall review, she would receive 5 stars. If you do decide to visit this place, ask for Kim Winn. She's worth the headache of everything else. She loved her nails. Kim was gentle and efficient. Laying in a pedi chair can be comfy for some but my daughter said she would prefer sitting at a station. It's a personal preference, some people may actually like it. A bonus is that they offer a 5% discount for paying in cash. We both prefer to pay in cash so I was happy about that. For a gel manicure, 1 solid color was $33. I tipped $5. read more

I went in for a pedicure last Friday. The tech started out friendly and talkative up until it came time for the foot/lower leg massage. She just kept looking down the row and at other customers and nail techs who were having conversations. She didn't massage the bottom of my feet or my heels nor the back of my lower leg. She softly rubbed my feet and front of my lower legs. She also spent WAY too much time on the rubbing. I needed to get in an out in a little under and hour and I couldn't get her attention because she wasn't even looking at my feet! I could have dealt with that had she stopped looking to her right and down the row. I've stopped going to nail places over this lack of attention to the task she had at hand and now I'll not go here again. I'm disappointed because it's a two minute walk from my job and easy to go on lunch. I went get a facial. This was the worst facial I've ever had in my life. I arrived on time. I was led back and told to lay down. Laid on the table for 17 minutes waiting. after that I had a scrubbing solution put on my face with no explanation and was told I had dry skin which is not true. Steam is nearby but not applied correctly. All lotions were put on ice cold with no explanation of what they were or what they did. I paid for an hour long facial. It is done in 30 minutes. My husband had given me a gift certificate. I had came into Jazmin spa and forgot the certificate, no big deal the experience was fine, I decided I would come back. Well I forgot! We were packing to move and I found the expired certificate. It was expired by a year and a half. When I went in I was told that only half the value was available. That money from the certificate drops off. I went ahead and got a manicure. The manicurist was fine. However he went on a smoke break when I went to was my hands after getting them shaped. I am sensitive to smoke smell and just make me feel nauseated. He did a find job painting my nails, and then went to smoke again while my nails where drying and then came back to apply more product. The smell was awful. No consideration. Smoke sticks! He never chatted or even really said "hello" which was fine, I don't need a chatty manicurists. Due to the spa not honoring expired certificated I needs gifts for school teachers and went down the road and spent almost $400 at another spa where they don't expire should the teacher forget to use it. read more

Mai is amazing with the lash extensions!!! They are quite an investment but well worth it. When she did my individual set it lasted about two to three months. She is also very nice and sweet so spending the two hours to get it done didn't seem bad at all. I love being greeted my name it makes you feel comfortable and your relaxation begins knowing you'll be taken care of. Even with some language barriers with some of the staff, it doesn't matter because they all do a great job. Discovered Jazmine Spa a year ago after a long day of exams, and I've been coming ever since. This spa is where I can go for solitude and relaxation. Everyone is really nice and welcoming, and the setting is calming. More often than not, I come to the spa for the Sns service. All of the nail technicians do a wonderful job...but of course, I have a favorite. My nail technician is very sweet and hard working. She hooks me up every time I visit. When I leave, I get so many questions about my nails and I refer Jazmin Spa to them! If I could give negative stars, I would... One star is one too many. Here's why: Had a mani / pedi with the BF several weeks ago and both came out wondering why we bothered. My pedicure started to peel after 2 days (!!), and every pedicure I have ever received in life, has lasted a minimum of two weeks. My manicure started to peel the same day. Nevertheless, since we had already purchased Groupons that we couldn't use towards these appts, we decided to give them another try for massages. So we book massage appts on the same day for my birthday in a few weeks... This is where it all goes downhill. We call the morning of the appt b/c I am sick as a dog and cannot bare to think about someone kneading my body at 10:00am, so the BF calls the spa, apologetically explaining our situation and wanting to reschedule. The "manager" (Kathy or Kathleen?) proceeds to immediately be annoyed and tell him there is a 48 hour cancellation policy and that she cannot pay her employees who work on commission unless we come in. He again apologizes and explains to her that he is sorry, but we cannot make it. She then tells him that the "person who is not sick" should still come in. He explains to her that we booked the massages to come in together, but she doesn't care. She then says she will void our groupons!!!! If she would have been reasonable, and told us that we had to pay a small cancellation fee for rebooking, we would have gladly paid it. But no, this was not her solution. Her only option was to have the "non-sick one" come in. When my BF decided he didn't want to leave me sick at home while he got a massage, she said she would cancel our groupon. Wow. Save your money, your time and your patience. This place is nothing more than your average nail shop with some other menu items thrown in, so they try to call themselves a "spa". SPA???? REALLY?? I have been to my share of upscale spas (none of which have side-by-side stations, set 2 feet apart, with girls working on you while constantly chattering in Vietnamese - as another reviewer pointed out), and in the rare occasion I've had to reschedule, I have never ever received this kind of "customer disservice". The fact that her sole reason for being rude is because her massage staff work on commission only, should never be the customer's problem. I called back 20 minutes later to speak to her to tell her she has lost our business. The girl who answered the phone (who was not the manager) apologized and seemed embarrassed, before she put the real "manager" on the phone... Lucky for me, she has no power to "void" my groupons, and I will be calling Groupon customer service on Monday to get my purchase refunded. Had been here twice and had an OK experience. The first time my gel manicure lasted less than a week, the second time was better lasting close to two weeks. However, on my third visit I made an appointment and waited 35 minutes before finally asking when someone would start my pedicure. I was told one person would start soon but it would be another 5-7 minutes until they could start the person I was with. On top of that we're not going to be able to do manicure with pedicure. Completely UNACCEPTABLE service. We left and will never go back. The place isn't even that nice to be worth it - just close. Ok, maybe it was just my experience but everything went wrong. First I attempt to get an appointment for a facial but they tell me I get a free pedicure if I come on the weekdays. Ok deal. So I show up and they say ok pay for both, uh no, that was awkward. Then the girl at the desk proceeds to tell me how she had been throwing up all day. Lovely way to start of a relaxing experience. Off to the pedicure where the women complained about working as a nail tech in atlanta versus south carolina because you make no money in atlanta compared to SC. again fantastic for people to tell you how much they hate there jobs while preforming them. Then on to the facial which was equally terrible. I have never had my skin look worse post facial, maybe its a special of Jazmin Spa. For the money it's not bad. But this is my second time coming here and they still have a problem with the water temperature. The water is cold and they have to go get water from the back. But ONLY after you inform them. I do think that they're aware of the customers discomfort but act like they're inconvenienced by having to get the water. All in all, I had an alright experience, but IT IS just like a run of the mill nail salon, where the nail techs spent the entire time chatting with each other in their native language (I always wonder what they are saying too....you have big feet....or you should see the pinky toe on this one!) BETTER ABOUT THIS LOCATION THAN LITTLE 5 ~There is ample parking (w00t w00t) ~They are open 30 mins later than ittle 5 points Mon - Fri, and one hour later than ittle 5 points on Sat. ~ Bigger establishment than ittle 5 points All in All The Decatur location has a few more color options that Little 5, but not many. I like to have a HUGE selection of colors to chose from (no funky colors here, I actually bought in my own green color polish for St. Patty's day, and EVERYONE in the spa was impressed).
