I normally go to natural spa but there was a wait so I thought I would give them a try since they were right across the street. Walking in was very underwhelming. The decor is very dated. The chair for the reflexology was very uncomfortable and all the chairs are lined up next to each other like a movie theatre. I never felt comfortable for my foot nor body massage. Then when I went to pay and I left a 26%tip she gave me an attitude asking that's all I was leaving for the service. And pointed to the sign saying 20%is customary I assured her I was leaving more than %25 tip. I thought that was very rude and horrible customer service. There are so many places on Buford Highway that are better and not rude like this location. read more

I went here about a year ago and it was my first time getting a massage. The staff were very nice and the facility is nice as well. Overall it was a good experience. This is a 'spa sydell' type massage spa so if that is what are looking for this is it. As a first time massage customer I would have preferred a little more communication. For example, when I was taken to the room I was told to get ready and lay on the massage bed. Unfortunately I didn't know which direction to lay on the bed and picked the wrong direction. The other thing I would have preferred was to see the masseuse prior to starting. I had no idea who it was until I was finished. It would have been nice to at least have an introduction before getting started. Also, after finishing the masseuse said she was done and l could get dressed. She left the room and I didn't realize I was supposed to head back to the front. I'm not sure if I could have found my way back without wandering the halls. She eventually came back to get me though. I did a one hour massage and despite the couple of hiccups noted above, it was a good experience. The masseuse did a nice job and the staff were all very nice. The place is very clean and looks nice. I've been here several times and have had anywhere from a pretty good massage to a great one. The last couple of sessions, I had Susan and she was great. I was a little unsure at first because she seemed to start out a little slow, but as the session went on she was very attentive and thorough, and found several spots that needed extra work. Just to inform future customers... We had a couples body massage and my husband was asked if he liked it soft, medium, or hard. He said medium and when she started he said never mind, maybe hard. She told him it was $10 more.... ok... so he said yes so he could experience what he wanted. They asked me if I wanted lotion. I figured most people use lotion so I said yes and... squirt! $10 more. We checked out and there was a $3 or $4 fee. I don't remember but my husband asked why and they said because you used your credit card. Ok, I've been on a roll with the whole massage deal and for the most parts all of the locations (See below) have been great (with the actual massage) I have started paying attention to the massage time (60/90). Be aware of your start time or you'll end up paying for a 50/80 minute massage. I did like how Lavender Massage tracked their sessions with an actual timer. At least you knew you were getting your moneys worth. Came in with knee pain and some swelling from a heavy day of work. Sophie was the masseuse and I showed her what the issue was. She ended up working on my lower back for a good majority of the time and after explained she found the issue to be at the lower back that's causing the knee to swell. I had just visited other massage centers on Buford Highway, like Bai Li and H-Massage, but then I came across Magic Hands Massage and the experience was wonderful! The place: When I walked in, the receptionist greeted me kindly and asked if I would like a massage. Instantaneously, I noticed that the facility was very clean and there was an aura of friendliness that I could just feel. The prices and variety of massages looked really good, and they also offer a deep tissue massage, which I did not see at some other places that I went to. There is a TV in the lobby with some nice chairs, and the receptionist was so kind, I could not resist getting a massage. The foot massage: The foot massage takes place in a room in the back, where you sit in a comfortable chair and watch a TV that would be playing a movie. Kesha, my masseuse, made good conversation with me! I felt very at home and welcome during my foot massage. She hit a lot of the pressure points and made my feet feel like heaven. This was my first foot massage, so I can not really compare it to anything, but I thoroughly enjoyed my half hour. The full body massage: This massage takes place in a private room, which smells really nice. I can tell they freshen up with some kind of aromatherapy. Kesha is a fantastic masseuse! She relieved all the tension in my body without me even thinking about it! Sometimes when I go to massage places, they will have to tell me to relax. But Kesha made it easy for me to relax during my time. She used a mixture of hand, shiatsu, pressure point, and forearm techniques. We still made conversation, but I was the starter, so if you desire a silent massage appointment, you can still get that here at Magic Hands Massage. Consensus: The receptionist was friendly, the masseuse was awesome, and the place is well kept. What more could I say?
