I was charged $55 for the locksmith to disassemble the locking mechanism and extract the lock cylinder. He did not have the necessary hardware to duplicate key so he took the cylinder along with the promise to return with either a new key or complete new cylinder. A few days go by and I get a text stating that he has to order a new cylinder. I asked him how much a new cylinder costs, $80 + $90 labor. This seemed a little high and prompted me to research what Locinox charges for a 46mm replacement cylinder. $6 plus instructions on how to swap out cylinder. Not only that but a brand new, identical lock kit costs $120. NOT TODAY SATAN! NOT TODAY I understand I'm paying for a service but this is price gouging at its finest. I'd hate to see anyone get duped so please heed my cautioning and try a different locksmith.

You call them, then they put the job out for a locksmith to call you. They are very responsive and you usually get a call back very quickly. I most recently had Oren come out to my Katy home. He was very knowledgeable about my unique 1980s lock situation and the challenges that come with it. Not only did he repair it but he taught me a lot about it.
