I came to the store and luckily Ralph was the one who managed to help me first hand. The fob I needed reprogrammed wanting purchased at Guardian so I had to place a deposit down first so I would not be charged completely for a service that was incomplete. Luckily for me the fob I brought didn't work but Ralph had something that would work so I was able to walk away with a working fob. I plan to bring another vehicle to replace a fob I lost. I found the place on Yelp. I just needed to get a dead bolt and knob lock keyed the same as my front door. The staff started working on my locks as soon as I walked in. I could tell they were customer service oriented. You could tell they cared about getting the work done right. Much more attention to the task than I would have gotten from a big box store. The dead bolt and knob lock were each about 28.00 plus 5.00 each to rekey them to match my keys. About the same price as other stores with no service. Randall took care of me on this visit. Beware of classic bait and switch. Called and spoke to 2 people, including the owner. Informed me the price was a $69 service trip + $55 per Reuter's bolt with install. Was informed this would include installation and all materials Charged me an additional $50 for rekey, after I informed them that I would need the property to be rekey. Took a small electronic safe to be opened. The batteries fell out so the keypad wouldn't work and the key to open it was locked inside. Met a real nice fellow there and it took him about 5 minutes to pick the lock and open it up. Batteries were replaced, cover was put back on so they won't fall out again 15 bucks and I was on my way. Deceptive and very misleading. Had them attempt to program a key fob due to them telling me that if it didn't work, they had the correct one. They take my $50 and later discover that they don't have the correct fob. They basically told me what they had to to grab my $50. Congratulations. You got me. I now say that they have a habit of accusing other customers of lying when anything negative is said of them. How this unprofessional of a business has made it this long baffles me. read more

This experience is a little different. I have an F-150 w/166K miles on it which runs like a top because I maintain it well. It serves as a work and personal vehicle. I have owned my own pest control company now for just over 25 years so I do know a little about being a service provider. I am 65 Years old and a retired Houston Fire Fighter serving 32 years. In the middle of a work day the ignition key locked up on me. The key would work in and out of the ignition but would not turn. The back up key also would not work indicating an issue with the key mechanism. I googled a lock smith on my phone and came up with Guardian Safe and Lock. They said could help me but I had to get the truck to a Goodyear Tire place in Tomball in which they had a partnership with and a technician that could handle the problem. I had the truck towed (which my insurance co. reimbursed me) about 11 AM. They call me a few hours later and said the key mechanism had all kinds of metal shavings in it and they had to replace the whole assembly for an additional $95 but should have it ready by the end of the day. At about 5:30 they call that it was ready. When I got in the vehicle the tilt wheel assembly was just hanging in the steering column disabled. They didn't even check their work!! The key worked fine but now I couldn't adjust the tilt steering wheel. I let them keep my vehicle overnight with the promise they would get on it first thing in the morning. They call about 9ish the next morning and say they need to order a part which wouldn't be there until 2:30 that afternoon. So at this point I've cancelled my morning thinking I would have my truck back by mid day, now my whole day is gone. I had to reschedule an entire day because these guys couldn't take care of a simple issue in a timely manner. About 3:30 I call for an update and the guy who answered the phone had no idea who I was and knew absolutely about the status of my truck. He tells me his manager is out which is who I have been dealing with this whole time. He says he would contact him and call me back. 20 minutes later I call them back and he still has no idea where the part is. Finally he calls me back and tell me that all the parts that were ordered from this dealership arrived minus my part so they had to send a man over to the dealership to pick it up. I finally pick up my truck at about 6 PM as they were closing down. The key worked fine and the tilt wheel assembly appears to be working. When I get home I find my driver seat, the steering wheel and the inside of the drivers door is covered in grease. WHY NOT! After a nightmare experience over a repair job that should have taken a few hours that took a day and a half, when I get home, I spend about an hour scrubbing the upholstery, steering wheel and door after one of the most incompetent service provider experiences I've ever had. Stay away from Guardian Safe and Lock and expecially Tomball Goodyear Auto Care just across from Wall-mart at 27503 Tomball Parkway. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. The technician did show up on time and same day service, however after about 45 minutes with my locks at the truck, he just drove off.. with ALL of the locks to my house. I called and was told that the guy was new and didn't know how to re-key my kind of lock. About an hour later (waiting with absolutely nothing to do) he showed back up and put the locks on. The next time I used the front door deadbolt, the cylinder started coming out. I shoved it back in and then it wouldn't turn. He came back out and "fixed" it and at the same time looked at the back doorknob lock which was malfunctioning after the lock was changed. (Keep in mind, the house was inspected, including the doors and locks and NONE of this was an issue prior to Guardian Safe & Lock.) He said that the knob could not be fixed.. whatever, I was in a hurry to leave. Then I finally move into the house. The very next time I try to lock the deadbolt on the front door, I have the cylinder in my hand.... AGAIN. I called and asked for my money back and after going back and forth with the "rep" yelling at me, he hung up on me! The told me I wouldn't get my money back if I disputed the charge and that others have tried it and were unsuccessful because a "service" was performed. Yea, the service that broke at least 2 locks! At this point, I can't trust any of the locks on my house. DO NOT use them! read more

Called to get a quote for our business on relocking 2 desks. When I called, they said they had to come out just to do a quote. I thought this was acceptable since you have to see what you are working with. When he arrived, I made it clear again, I was just looking for a quote and vetting multiple companies to use. He came out on a Friday, and said it would likely be at least a day until I heard back and would receive the quote via email, which I thought was reasonable. Before he left, he required me to pay a $70 trip charge for coming out. This is what I found to be ridiculous. I made it very clear on the phone and in person all I was looking for was a quote and a trip charge was not mentioned. On top of paying someone 70 dollars to come out and look at 2 locks, it has been 4 weeks and I have yet to receive a quote. No follow up call or anything. Awful customer service. will not be using them and will not recommend them to anyone. read more
