Worse service ever. I called a asked for a quote to re-key 4 exterior doors. He quoted $135.00 for the 1st 4 cylinders. I said great I'll be there shortly thinking I was going to have a $135.00 dollar bill plus $3.00 per key. He ran my card without telling me it was any more than the $147.00 I was expecting. After my card was ran he handed me a receipt for $353.44. I asked him what the heck and he said I should have know I had more cylinders. It's not my job to know key terminology. It is his job to inform me of charges more than $147.00 which he quoted me. I offered him the keys but but he refused. I wish I could give negative stars but 1 will have to do. read more

I have been using this place for almost 15 years and grew to love the place. Unfortunately good things never last :( this place went to hell. As I was in line to be waited on one of the employees yelled at a customer. Then my turn promised to get right on it or will call with update. Waited 4 hours then decided to sit in the parking lot with still no call. I was met outside bt Greig a older gentleman with the worst attitude saying if I demand it done I can leave which left me dumbfounded because I never even got a call from them with a update. Only to find out after I have to call again they can't rekey my locks. Wow wasted 2 days and I lost a full day at work due to their horrible communication. I just got a key cut and programmed for my vehicle at this place, my neighbor recommended them. I decided to go there instead of Ace Mart because of that and to support a local business. The person who I spoke to seemed helpful, I told him what I needed and he gave me a price and I agreed to have him do the job. As I was waiting another customer walked in with the same request as mine: 1 key cut and remote programmed that requires them to hook up a computer to the car, but someone else helped him. When he got his key cut he asked how much it was going to be to get the remote programmed and I couldn't believe it! Almost half what the other guy quoted me 10 minutes before. I mentioned this to the person that "helped" me and he said he didn't know why the other employee gave the other customer a different price, he said "we have a set fee for remotes that require a computer to be programmed". I paid the higher price and walked out never to return. These are the kind of things that really hurt small business, first and last time doing business with them. read more

Quick, Fast and a great price! So I bought my Ford F150 second hand. No remote came with the vehicle and so for over a year, I have been having to manually unlock/lock my doors. I know, so 1990 right? Anyway, it was really annoying considering my passenger side door does not have a keyhole. I went to Autozone to buy a bulb for my tail light and was asking the clerk if they sold the remotes for my vehicle, and that I was looking to have a remote programmed for my vehicle. He was explaining that they did sell a remote, but that DIY programming was somewhat time consuming. A customer overheard our conversation and interjected to recommend Saylor Safe & Lock. It happened to be right down the road and so I swung by. I was literally there for less than 5 minutes. I told the employee what I needed, and he walked out to my truck, pressed a couple of buttons and clicked the remote, and handed me a new remote to my truck!! In and out in 5 minutes for only $40! If I ever have any other key or remote needs, I will be calling them first! read more

I have used them once before and they did a good job at a good price. This time, they charged me a $55 service charge and $32.50 labor to tell me they couldn't fix the lock. This company is an absolute joke. I called a couple weeks ago to have a safe moved from one location on property to another. They came out to move and from the moment they got out where complaining as if they did not want to move it. They kept saying they didn't have the right equipment. After getting it out of the first house and to the new house they couldn't figure out how to get it in and said they needed another piece of equipment that was broke and would have to come back. This being 2 hours after they started. I asked when they would be back and they told me the next week. After I had to call back to reschedule the lady on the phone said it would be Friday. Which for me was not soon enough so she said she would move some things around and be there Wednesday between 1-3. At 2:45 on Wednesday I called to confirm they where still coming and the man that had come out the first time answered (Greg I believe) he told me the tool was still not fixed and they would not be out today. He seemed agitated that I called. I asked him if he thought I should call someone else to move the safe and he said yes that would be good and Hung up on me! I can't believe this company has been in business so many years and is run like it opened yesterday. I remember getting keys cut there 30 years ago. What happened? The lady I spoke with on the phone a very polite and definitely wanted my business. I just bought blank keys from the Honda dealership for my scooter. I went to one locksmith and he said he couldn't make the key but if I got him the code he cut it for 20 bucks.I called sailors key in lock and that's when the lady was very nice and the phone and said that they could cut the key for sure. When I arrived the guy picked the lock on the scooter and cut one of the keys that I brought. When he went to ring me up he said it was $46! I responded with that's kind of expensive don't you think. He said well the other guy couldn't Cut it could he? He wasn't very friendly and I definitely will never return to the shop again! I called the lady back because she was nice before and told her I was going to write a review she offered to get my money back which was very nice! I would not recommend the shop to anyone and less you want to pay double the price! read more
