11/12/17 Update: I've stil come here consistently for many purposes: getting a bike tray installed, flat tubes, simply filling air, and a quick standard tune-up while I was away for a weekend. All of them, done masterfully and at an incredible speed, efficiency, kindness, and price. The owner still recognises me and always greets me with a smile when I come in. This place accepts both cash and credit, and always seems to have business but is never too busy to accommodate you. There have been multiple times where I just needed some air and wanted to borrow a pump, but they were kind enough to do it for me at no cost. Moreover, they own up to their mistakes - I had a tray installed and the next day my brake pad was acting funny, skidding along the rim of my back tire. I brought it in and they fixed it, along with greasing my chain, all for free. When I mean terrific service, I mean it. I just got my bike back after a quick tune-up: $45 got my bike realigned, the chain cleaned/greased, the brake pads checked up, and they even retaped my handlebars. Again, this is the place you want to be at if you want great service at incredible prices. Thank you guys so much for consistently being amazing! P.S. Hipsters, please don't flood my local shop and act like A-Holes. These are nice wholesome guys. P.P.S. if you are not a messenger or a delivery person, Do Not get you high end race bike serviced here. I try to support local shops but after being out $125 for a poor tune up that turned out to be a bike cleaning and nothing more. I took the bike back the next day and told him that there was a persistent noise from the drivetrain. I asked him to ride my bike and still unable to diagnose the problem! Avoid getting frustrated and take your bike to a reputable shop. read more

Ishop around for new gear shifter overhaul for a 3 Speed. All the same price so I went to I&M. Mistake. They did a crap job, I had to adjust a couple of items that were out of wack after their service. Plus they used many used parts, used electric tape to hold on parts. I found this after making the needed adjustments. And final bill was $20 more than estimate. NEVER Again. read more

I am so thankful this is my new bike shop. After an annual tune up my vintage bike hasn't ridden this well in years.

I rarely go to bike shops as I prefer to do all bike maintenance myself. But being out of options and in a tough situation I needed a new tube for my back wheel on a single speed bike with fenders. The shop has a wooden ramp leading to the entrance so you don't have to pick your bike up. Before I could struggle with opening the door with one hand and holding my bike with the other (cyclists know this door fight too well). It was opened by one of the mechanics welcoming me inside (Off to a good start). I told them my problem and before I knew it my bike was on the stand and the mechanic pulled out the back wheel with ease, without taking off the fenders! He asked me which tube type I wanted (regular or tougher) price difference being I believe regular $14 and tougher $20. I went for the tougher to avoid punctures, and boom he popped it in closed the tire up and even used a brush to clean my gears! The entire process took maybe 7-10 minutes, and cost me $20. He even explained why the tube had failed which I much appreciated. Do not be afraid to stop in at this local bike shop, friendly service, good prices, and fast & knowledgeable. It is my go-to shop in the area now. read more

Very professional and quick. The guy who worked on my bike gave me an estimate and stuck to it even when we found out that my rear derailleur needed to be replaced. He lined up both derailleurs, replaced the rear one, and tightened my brakes in under an hour. I got my bike back without a scratch on it. Going back here anytime I have bike trouble. read more

i was riding my bike in Prospect Park when i got a flat tire and was SO ANNOYED b/c i just got the inner tube replaced recently. found this place on the map and decided to pop in and i'm so glad i did. the guys here are so kind and knowledgeable, and the bike mechanic was SO FAST in fixing my bike (he found a tire puncture i'm pretty sure my other bike shop missed last time i took it in). i wish i lived closer to this bike shop, we need more nice bike shops like this in Brooklyn! read more

Stop here for flat and ended up getting the bicycle maintenance and cleaned and also the rear wheel changed.... Gabriel is the store assistant And provided his services which were excellent, competent , and very attentive....The whole service cost me about $100 dollars...Which is cheaper than what it would have cost me @bicycle habitat in south slope, where I've had my bicycle maintenance for the last 2 to 3 years.... this bicycle shop is located in Sunset Park off third Avenue and 50th street; highly recommend. read more

I used them twice and both times failed to fix my Ladcykel, yeah it lasted about a week each time which I'm my mind doesn't mean it's fixed. The third time Frank/owner said he wouldn't pick up the bike unless I paid 1000,- up front for collection and delivery(twice the cost of previous delivery/collection), I declined and just decided not to use these people again. Almost a year later they sent me a factura for only the transport, that same 1000,- and pushed for payment, fortunately I found the correspondence that came along with this pre-made factura else it could've got messy. Frank and B-bikes provided a poor service to begin with but the fantasy factura is why I made this yelp account. Beware. read more

These guys are just no nonsense, fast, cheap repairs and parts. Not trying to upsell you or be a part of some type of hipster fitness craze. Went back today for flat tire. Went early so there wouldn't be a line and there were 3 people ahead of me. They only allow 3 customers at a time. Got in after 5-8 min wait.
